Having thought out every possibility he could, Daniel finally settled on the one course of action that allowed for him to posit his feelings in as non-confrontational a manner as possible, and yet not have to be there to speak them himself. He was going to leave a note. That way, not only would Jessi have time to consider what he had to say, but she wouldn’t have to deal with his inability to talk about his feelings without tripping over his own tongue. He went through several iterations of the message before he settled on something that he felt was as clear and concise as he could manage. Folding the note up, he placed it in his bag, and pulled the bag on. The basket with the plants and bear he left on his desk for now. He would definitely need to ask her what that was all about. Walking towards his door, Daniel vanished.
