The Masque of the Red Death [Open and ACCEPTING!!]

"Very well, I shall check the supply boats once again," Nicholas said as he bowed and he retreated. He saw the children and the rest of the survivors got into the boat and and one by one the boats were lowered down.

"I shall go with the supply boat, there is room for one person," Nicholas said when one man called him to enter the boat. "Tell her highness that," he said and he left. He checked the two boats again and lowered the one filled with food. Once it hit the water, he shouted for someone to tow the boat to the other boats. After one man did so, he began to climb into the water boat with a heavy heart.

"You'll regret leavin'," a voice came from behind Nicholas and that was the last voice he heard before he was clubbed at the back of his. The last image he saw was Scarlet and the rest of her party reaching the water before he fell on the hard wood with a thud and scarlet blood drenched down from his crown. He was dragged away.

"Wait wheres Ace?!" Scarlet managed to get off the boat, "I have to tell him there is still room for him of course. She saw him coming toward her and waved him over, "Hurry up Ace we have to go..." She smelled rust and looked down to see blood. "Why is there blood here...."

Henry was jumping with fear. He ran to Scarlet and left bloody imprints of his palm and legs on the floor. He tugged her cloth and shrieked all the time. He couldn't find his master but he swore the blood belonged to his master. After all, he smelled it often.

Scarlet began to follow Henry, "What is it? Show me..."

Henry showed her the trail of blood he found but it was gone right in the middle of the kitchen. No one wiped it but it seems as if the blood just disappeared.

Scarlet stood at the end of the trail and stood there confused..."Whats going on?"

Someone watched Scarlet as she made her way into the kitchen. That person waited till everything was silent and he rolled a cannonball outside of the door and Scarlet who heard it went out. That person proceeded to make more noise to lure the princess out and finally she was at the top deck. In an instant, the doors in the whole ship were closed and Scarlet could not go in. She had only one choice. She must leave Duke Nicholas.

"Go, go now little princess. There's no knight in shining armor in this boat. Only a useless man who is hurt and unconscious by my doings," a voice recognized as a woman's whispered in the shadows, out of Scarlet's hearing. She resumed by giggling hysterically but still out of hearing range. She waited for Scarlet to leave the ship completely.

As Henry tired to pull Scarlet over to the boats as he knew it was to late she pushed him aside. "This doesn't seem right...." she turned around and walked back over to the kitchen where she found that the door was locked. "Someone is messing with me. What do they not want me to see..." she tried opening the door and when she had no luck she looked around for anything to help out. Then at the corner of her eyes she saw an axe, "that will do." She ran over and took the tool in her had. She then proceeded to axe down the door. When she finally got in she began to look around. "Is anyone in hear....please answer me!" she tired to see if the injured person would answer back.

"A petty princess...we don't need her. The man is enough," a rasping voice whispered to the woman before. "He can navigate us to safety too," he added.

"Agreed," the woman replied in the shadows as they watched Scarlet struggling to find the injured person. They chuckled softly.

In all extent, they were the persons responsible for the spread of disease on the ship. Rubel and Remy. Twins in their mid twenties but with skins of those of the dead and eyes wide and sagged due to no sleep. All in one word, deathly. Added with the red boils and spots that marked them as the ill ones, they look everything like zombies.

"Lucky we managed to save the man from our illness or else he would have been infected and would refuse to let us go," Rubel chuckled.

"But now we have to send that nosy princess off of the ship," Remy said. He wore a blanket over himself which he had made holes for his eyes and ran in behind Scarlet to the other side with light feet. Henry jumped and screeched in panic.

Scarlet turned to see someone with a blanket over themself, "Who are you?" She took a step back for caution. She knew that the person infront of her was not the injured man since there was no trace of blood on him/her. She had the axe beside her and gripped the handle tightly just incase.

"Hehehe..." Remy chuckled and he ran to the upper deck.

Scarlet watched as the person ran out the kitchen and into the upper deck, "Umm..." At the moment she wanted to follow the person, but something was telling her not to leave. So she followed her gut and stayed in the kitchen and began looking around for any clues.

"Uhuhuhuhuhuu..amusing," Rubel chuckled silently. Then she moved in the shadows and took the panicking monkey before Scarlet could see or hear anything. truly, the two were too light footed.

Scarlet didn't hear Henry anymore and looked behind her, "Henry? Where did you go?" She sighed and walked over to the big freezer to see if anything was in there. She pulled the latch down and opened it. It was pretty dark so she took a step in there and called out, "Hello? Anyone in here?"

An open crate lay harmlessly in front of Scarlet and Rubel chuckled softly. On the upper deck, Remy was preparing to lower the water boat but not before his sister appears.

With the light feet she had and a hand secured around the sleeping monkey, Rubel jumped behind Scarlet and suddenly Scarlet was pushed into the crate and Rubel threw henry in before she used her almighty strength to close the crate and nailed it in a hurry. The Axe had fallen to the side when Scarlet was tumbling into the box.

"Hahahahaha! You stupid princess! Didn't anyone ever tell you not to walk alone? Ahaaahahahahaha!" Rubel laughed hysterically.

As she laughed, she pulled the rope securing the crate to the pulley to lift the crate to the top deck. "And now, you be nice and good and follow all your little healthy people to Rome. We are gonna have the hunk to sail us back to England." And the pulley pulled up by Remy.
