How did he end up being captured?: He gets in the way of Luinil's hunting and is stunned by her prey. She defends his life, getting slightly wounded herself and he offers her his service, not really realizing what that will entail. The chivalrous little darling has heard too many tales of knightly honor. lol
Will you be escaping later? If yes, how?: Yes, during the griffin/harpy war. He will be released from his vow and flitters off in the confusion.

BTW, I was thinking about the whole lifemating/breeding stuff and the difficulty of finding people willing to let their stallions become slaves, even for just one fling, and had a thought while backreading harpy RPs.
It was something Cabriole thought about it being odd (to him) that instead of kidnapping males why didn't they simply go out and find a male that appeals to them, seduce them for that night only then leave 'em to head back to the flock to raise any baskets that occur.
Maybe that could be an option in addition to the males kept in captivity or lifemating? Just a thought.
smile Luinil has been a part of the flock for too long to consider lifemating for herself, though she isn't as revolted by it as some in the flock and will keep rather cordial relations even with those sisters that
have lifemated.
