 Raven walked up to the edge of the cliff, and sat down. Her legs dangled down as wisps of the ocean splashed around her, but never touched her.

Estephany sighed as she looked up at the puffy clouds. She wished that she could fly once more but she knew that it was impossible. More tears trickled down her cheeks, falling into the ocean far below.

Raven looked over to her right and noticed someone was crying. She scooted over beside her. "Hey, you okay?" She asked, concerned.

Estephany turned her beautiful face over to the girl who had talked to her. The shadow of a smiled on her face seeming less like a shadow. "I'm fine," she said, her voice sounding like a chorus of silver bells pure and sweet. "My name is Estephany."

"I'm Raven and-" She pointed to the still damp area on Estephany's face "I'm sure water doesn't poor out of your eyes with out a good reason." She grinned lightly.

Estephany touched the tears on her face, "It's of no importance, I was just remembering my past like always." She said, her hand falling back down to her lap from the weight of the icy chains wrapped around her wrists.

Raven's eyes scanned over to the chains, then back to Estephany's face. "Many people are 'dragged down' by the burdens they posses from their past. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that that expression is literal for you?"She questioned.

Estephany laughed, her laugh ringing like bells. "These chains are a reminder of my past, I am not forced to wear them and I don't have to wear them; but I still do so as to never forget my oath. So yes, I guess that makes the expression literal."

"Don't tell me, this 'oath' was something you gave to someone that you swore to never break, something terrible occured and you chose to wear the chains to remind yourself of that." She gave a weak smile.

Estephany nodded, "That's basically how it is." She said simply, looking back over the ocean sadly.

Raven also looked at the ocean and sighed in silence "I don't expect you to tell me what happened, but I understand what it's like to promise something to someone and having things go wrong. Perhaps I can't compare with what happened to you, but I always say that what happened in the past stays in the past. Don't let it effect your future."

"I see."Raven sighed. "Is it really so difficult to forget that you must burden yourself with these chains and tears?"She asked.

Estephany nodded, "Well it's not just the chains that remind me, it's the people."

Raven nodded in understandment "Ah." Was all she said, since she had run out of words to say. "These people... Do they remind you themselves, or does merely a look at their face remind you?
