Everyone she knew had only just begun to recover from the events of the field trip when this happened. Though the meeting with the Horsemen had taught her that the Hunters had been infiltrating Halloween, she had never expected for so many of them to flood over at once.
How was that even possible? And wasn't there any way to block the Hunters from coming into Halloween? These were only two of the many questions that some of the students had. As she stepped into the office, she glanced around for any signs of life, and then cleared her throat loudly. "Pardon me? I, and some others, would like to speak to someone in private, please. We have a lot of questions that we'd like answered."
A lot of questions.

Arel, half-sprawled on the table looking more like a piece of drapery than a secretary, stared languidly at the baku, blinking several times. The entire evening and the morning following - this morning really - he had spent being interrogated by the Bogeymen, and then temporarily locked up under grounds of suspicion until the school finally sent in evidence that he was not involved in the entire incident on terms of a staff proxy.
Needless to say, not even the best apple cider was going to fix this problem. Not even sending several trainees to detention was going to fix this problem. The secretary continued to stare lifelessly at Xiu until the only remaining portion of his working mind gently reminded him that they had more questions. Right now? Really?
"Just... just gimme an hour okay. An hour, and I'll see you-" He fell asleep half-sentence, lights entirely out.

With everything going on as of late, Jericho had quite a bit on his mind. While Riley was recovering, he had spent a goo chunk of his time in the nurses office to help keep her company, as well as to make sure she was alright. Even so, a few of the things they had spoke about were floating on through his mind. There were some things he wanted answers to... and likely only the school's administration would have them.
When he was sure that Riley would be alone for a little while, he made his way to the office, peeking in to see if Arel was around.
"Er.. hello?" he asked while looking around for signs of the short, icy secretary.

When Jericho arrived in that afternoon, he would notice that half the clutter in the office was oddly missing, and instead, either scattered on the floor, in a sea of folders, papers, and other miscellaneous articles, including a few odd issues of 'Hornz'. There were also boxes equally full of papers and merchandise next to the secretary's desk.
There was a loud thump as Jericho questioned the occupancy of the room, not unlike someone hitting the desk. A couple of curses later, a pair of tired-looking eyes peered out from the desk. "Did you not see the note on the door?"

By Jack the office was a mess. And were those issues of Hornz? Jericho furrowed his brow at the sight of that, but then looked around to try and see if he had overlooked Arel at all. Oh wait, there he was. The secretary was looking a little worse for wear for sure. "I didn't.. actually. But this is pretty important," the dragon said while glancing around the office. Why was it in such dis array right now? "This shouldn't take too long, so if I could just have a few moments. This is about a certain.... professor I guess you could say. "Though it likely wasn't who Arel would expect.

Arel might have squeaked. Maybe. At least something vaguely resembling a squeak was uttered from the secretary's mouth before he dove back under the desk, papers and odd trinkets - plus the occasionally skeleton of a dead minipet - flying all over the place as he worked. "No, I'm uh, busy. Sign at the door says I'm busy. Packing. Very busy at work. Goodbye, random student who I do not know."

Jericho frowned at the words of the secretary. One, because he said he was packing. Two, because he apparently didn't know the student council. "I'm Jericho Bloodbane... Treasurer of the Student council," he said while looking around. Well that explained the mess, but he wasn't ready to leave just yet. "I just want to know if you know anything about Professor Caelum. The Career Counselor," he started before looking around at the mess, ".. Are.. you leaving?"

Though Jericho could not actually see Arel's face, there was a notable second where the shuffling just stopped, simply and abruptly. Whether or not it was caused by the student's question, or the statement about the secretary leaving or both, it was hard to tell.
A face slowly peered out from the top of the desk again. "I am not leaving" - he sounded extremely put-out and indignant, "I am simply visiting my extended family for a bit. Until things have died down a little. It has been fun walking around with a painted target on my head, but,- "there was a firm slam, and a click - "I am done here. Done. I've tried. If you want any other information regarding old professors and so on so forth, Jack knows how many have simply left because of I'm sure, the sorry state of things here, you can always ask ah, someone else."

"I'm pretty sure Caelum hasn't shown up since before everything recent... well.. sort of," he started, trying to see how he could word this. But it was at least a relief that Arel wasn't quitting his job. The secretary was in this as much as the rest of them as far as Jericho thought. "It's just that. Many months back he had us fill out two forms. One was a survey on ourselves and the other was a homework assignment to shadow a professor of our choice. Despite being a career counselor, he never got back to us on.. well our results. For anything," he said, "Though.. I could have sworn I saw him more recently in the forest. He had blue eyes and black and white hair doesn't he?"Letting out a sigh, he took a step back towards the door. "But if you really don't have any information at all. Then maybe Hellma or one of the other professors will know."

"Yes, yes I know exactly what the faculty members look like," the secretary snapped a little too abruptly. A little more of his head peered out from the table, to stare suspiciously at Jericho. "Just out of curiousity, not that I care or anything, makes makes you think it is that professor? It could have been anyone, is there something that ah, Professor Caelum said or did that might have been out of the ordinary?"
Once again, Arel was really bad at masking his true thoughts on the matter or the fact that he really, had not been expecting Jericho's comments. But now that they put two and to together... it would have made sense that... He quickly retreated back under his desk before he completed that thought, remarking a very loud. "Not that I care or anything!"

Jericho raised an eyebrow at the words of Arel. Though he was trying to make it seem like he didn't care, he was... trying a little too hard. "Well... the one in the forest knew our names. He also listed off a few things.. Like to Riley, he said 'Riley. Classes were a disappointment. Would try something new if given the chance' and to Amrita it was 'Amrita, proud of her dedication'," he said while pausing to take a moment to think, "It's.. been awhile but these sound like answers to the first survey. I remember one of the questions was 'would you try something new' and listing what our strengths and weaknesses were."There was another pause. "The fact that he said these things or even know that much about us can't be a coincidence."

Arel thought very long and hard. It was no hidden secret that Amityville Academy went through staff like a minipet collect through common Floresce variants, so it was without a doubt, extremely easy to blur events together. He tried to remember the day Professor Caelum had entered the school to be on staff, it was kind of coming back to the secretary now.
"Other than looking nice, is there any other reason you are interested in teaching here, Professor?" That was exactly the question Arel had asked the to-be professor during the interview.
"Well, I do have a rather invested interest in the students, I enjoy seeing them receive a proper education," had been the professor's answer. He might also have said something else like, "By the way I am actually going to collect all the information I gain at Amityville and use it against you, mwahaha", but unfortunately, Arel had not been paying attention at that specific point in time, to say the slightest.
Did the secretary know right now that they had possibly hired not only a potential psychopath but also very possibly the culprit on all these "Red Terrorists" incidents? Unfortunately not. Did he believe Jericho? It was hard not to fight against solid evidence: but it was another to simply jump to conclusions. It was so painfully easy though, just to pinpoint someone else, but doing so at the same time brought another problem. That Amityville Academy was indeed harbouring intentionally or not, one of the causes of the entire incident boiling from the Haunted House field trip to possibly even the disaster on the Human World island.
"If he were in the forest, in theory," Arel did not bother even hiding his concern at this point, "Why would he have returned? And further more what were you students doing in the forest?" Seriously, he had half a mind just to give Jericho detention, and even though it wouldn't solve anything, at least it might make this growing headache go away.

Jericho waited in silence as Arel thought hard on the matter. He didn't know what was going on through the frost demon's mind but hopefully he was putting two and two together here. "Because I have reason to believe that he is against us," Jericho said while recalling that day's events, "He originally showed up in the gym wearing the red cloak. We couldn't see who he was. But he said a few things to us all. Everyone that had stopped by out of curiosity or suspicion. He told us that he knew something about... the incident. Not only that but he said that he was counting on us to grow stronger and that this was a wake up call."The dragon took in a deep breath, then continued. Yes, he was well aware that they weren't allowed in that forest, so he went on to answer the other question. Hopefully he didn't end up in detention again for this 'confession'. "We all followed him into the forest because he had knocked out Shehk and was running away with her. We couldn't just let him take her like that, even though a number of us felt like it was some sort of trap. At some point we showed up where the bulk of the red cloaks were. Maybe he came back just to provoke us, or because he was planning on taking the horsemen with him or whatever... He isn't one of us."The last part could have been taken a few ways. Us meaning the students, the school, or all of Halloween.

Arel narrowed his eyes. "Hunters were once considered-" and then entirely stopped himself, realizing the slip-up he made. He backed up a couple of unsteady steps, mind trying to make up some sort of excuse. "Ah, that is, to say, it could have been Hunters but they sure don't exist now do they?" The last part was a little louder than it could have been, waking up the half-packed Shredder with a snort, the animate office supply squealing a bit in indignation.
"Anyway, I'm more concerned about what you said about the horsemen, or why he would take them." They couldn't have known that- "I don't understand just kidnapping the Horsemen when they could have done so in the Haunted House or even prior. It just seems too-"
The secretary stopped himself again, glowering at Jericho. "Not a word about this to anyone else, if anyone knows about this other than us, it'll be over. You are a second year, Jericho, I'm sure you understand a little better our current school situation." A sigh. Well, it looked like Arel actually knew who Jericho was all along.
And then he was hurriedly unpacking, moving papers out of the boxes as fast as he had moved them in. "There is something we're missing, something important, we're overlooking the big picture here-" Arel stopped. "Did he say.... anything else?"

Jericho raised an eyebrow at the slip up. Though, he never did believe that Arel didn't buy into everything that was being said to the public. He was a little more amused with that quick cover up attempt. It made the dragon wonder if there were bugs around (that didn't belong to Cricket) listening in on this. That made him a little uneasy to think about. The dragon watched as the secretary started unpacking, wondering what it was he was trying to find. "Let's see... well the horsemen weren't.. kidnapped. Technically. They went with him by their own will. Just about everyone aside from them had been caught one way or another when Caelum offered them something. He basically offered a 'truce' for our lives. The horsemen agreed and then walked off with him.. We were released from the traps at that point."He thought hard, trying to recall anything else that was said that was worth noting.
