Vincent walked into the nearby cafe, feeling his headache still affecting him, but trying not to let it get to him. He was seated by the waiter behind a familiar blue haired girl and two other boys. Still, he knew better then to say anything.
"Can I get you anything sir." The waitress asked, blushing slightly at the handsome gentleman.
"Yes. I'll have a cup of Earl Gray tea." He said calmly, staring at her with his alluring blue eyes like that of a wild, wounded animal.
"Sorry sir, we're fresh out." The waitress replied, slightly flustered.
"Then do you have anything soothing? I've got a disgusting headache." He replied, rubbing his temples as the building across the street and diagonal suddenly began to cave in.
"Oh, you poor, poor thing. Sure. How about Jasmine tea?" She asked. "It's my favorite."
"That sounds fantastic." He replied. "I'll have that, thank you."
"Ok then. I'll be right back." She replied bubbly.

Spike was once again tossed like he had been the day before when that hulk-like Barbus member sent him crashing into a store window. The wall cracked and indented. The spikes protected him a bit but the impact of crashing into a wall was still apparent. He fell to the ground with a thud but stumbled to his feet moments later, keen on not letting his guard down. He spat out some blood and wiped his mouth sloppily with the back of his gun, the playful grin and generally amused expression becoming a scowl that wrinkled his forehead and nose. He staggered a bit but he was on his feet. That was what counts. "Run while you can, kid", Torrin growled, before the ground below broke out into spikes in a series heading towards the little 'hero'. It seems Spike no longer wanted to play but was seriously hoping to impale his opponent.
Three letters and an insane series of numbers illuminated on human skin. VoltEdge was wide-eyed. She got to her feet and took a few steps back and staring blankly ahead with a horrified expression on her face as though she no longer saw Coil and Serene in front of her. Memories flashed in her head. Blood, needles, the sound of doctors' voices, beds and chairs with restraints, fluid chambers, screeching noises, operations, the 'branding' (which caused the markings on her right shoulder). They all came to haunt her, bringing the pain with it. She let out an agonized groan, gripping the sides of her head. She began to cry, heave and scream until finally, her body was giving out to the intense overlapping of pain that was caused by her memories being jogged and triggered all at the same time. She kept her hands gripping the sides of her head firmly and let out a high-pitched shriek, releasing vast amounts of electrical energy into the environment until she was almost drained of it. And after 'feeding', that was a great lot. It caused heavy damage to the surrounding buildings and the ground beneath her but when she was drained, she began losing consciousness and neared collapse, her lids heavy and her body being unable to cope no more.

Serene's moment of happiness faded when VoltEdge began to cry. She was astonished by VoltEdge's reaction to the number and the logo, could it be that there is something bad about that place? Her thought was interrupted by the sudden outburst of energy from VoltEdge. Instinctively Serene coated herself with the darkness again, but only after she's been electrified by them, if she hadn't coated herself any faster, she would have fainted. The sound of triggered alarm echoed throughout her head, she felt dizzy and sick, but that will not stop her from getting to VoltEdge who is on the ground. She limped to her calling her name. "VoltEdge... VoltEdge..." She repeated her name over and over, unsure of what to do. Serene tried to recall everything she had read, and words sprang up in her mind, applying to the situation. The situation when a character doesn't accept something... When they remember something... Bad memories? Serene shakes her head at those thoughts, there will be time to deal with that later. Right now she need to safe her friend... Her only friend... "Sleep first.." Her voice now returning to normal, being calmer and calmer. She put her hands on top of VoltEdge's eyes, she is too tired, so she should sleep. ((Huh, funny languages? O_o Also, your avi looks crazy awesome!))

VoltEdge remained lying limp on the ground. Her face had softened and she looked at peace right now though there was a tumult within her head. She would need to 'recharge' soon though. The effects of being drained were swiftly surfacing on her skin, making it paler and generally unhealthy-looking. One thing the scientists couldn't quite figure out, much less, duplicate about her, was that she still seemed a hundred percent organic and human, yet her body was also like a battery, being able to 'recharge' with electricity instead of food. Actually, either was okay but charging her with electricity seemed more effective. Speaking of which, an initial test to confirm this involved locking her up in an observation room for weeks with no food and water -- only electricity. It was difficult with an organic stomach but she managed to survive it, albeit, with an ulcer, which the 'doctors' miraculously were able to fix.

The clone had never seen such a face on anyone. It was incredible, in it's way, and he stared with a teeny bit of amusement as she went through her ordeal. He felt bad, of course, but was glad her job seemed alright. What a story, indeed.
Her face went through another big shift then, before it vanished to show her back. "Yep." 'Jack' called at her recounting of the order. Simple enough, he had many thanks for her generosity. The man let out a steady exhale and turned to the lady's brother. He had some worry that the kid would react like his sister. Slam something in their face - well, his face, this time. He wished they were instead ordering a bunch of doors to sit behind instead of sweet and cold treats, and whatever else. The clone begged to absolutely every god ever that there would be no scolding hot coffee.
Nevertheless, he had to come through with it. The idea dawned on Mr One that he could just try to prod at Phoebe's memory by telling her he was at her door. In fact, three of him were there. She had seen Armand's and Mr Five's face, and no matter how covering his own outfit at the time was, it would not stop the resemblance.
All this left him quite ignorant of the man that set on the table just a step away from their own. At the moment, Jack could not connect his voice to that of the villain when the man ordered, even though that mental-powered pervert was a loudmouth. So he had felt, anyway. The one thing he did notice, after hearing the metallic creak, was the demolition a building opposite of the street began going through.
His eyes widened, and seeing no special team on hand, blamed villains. That was how things rolled in the city, as far as he cared, anything goes wrong you first blame the villains. Even if now the whole street was taken up by an earthquake, that probably too was a villain. It was a cautious mindset that left them easily able to avoid trouble, or find it. When your toilet clogged at the same time the doorbell rang, that was probably a villain's doing too. Real buggers they were, and sometimes seemingly everywhere. Oh, he did not move though, beyond staring. People were rushing out of the construct and filming it on phones. But no sign of further damage, yet.

Many in the cafe began to cower, knowing that that there was most likely a villain nearby. Vincent laid his head against the table, his aching head embracing the silence. Because of it, his headache began to vanish and the tremors and destruction stopped. Slowly, people in the cafe began to look at each other confused, but for the most part, their minds were fairly blank do to shock. The waitress returned with Vincent's tea, and she set it down on the table. "Ahh, thank you." He muttered.
"My goodness. What happened?" She asked him, seeing the destruction out of the window.
"The first guess would be villains, but none seemed to show up. Perhaps it was just an earthquake." He muttered, taking a sip of the cup.
"I see." The waitress replied.

Phoebe stood, staring blankly at the building clearly quite confused. The change she had been counting clattering to the counter with a light ring.
The whole concrete structure had seemed to creak and sway, at some points almost bending in on itself before once again wobbling like a disturbed mass of jelly.
'Building's really aren't meant to do that. Even in Verona!...' As soon as the whole spectacle started it seemed to stop. There was another violent shudder and the building stood still (as it should) once more.
Snapping back out of her stupor Phoebe shook her head and glanced at Trent, making sure he was still sat at the table and not rushing off to find the cause of the buildings strange behaviour.
~
Phoebe plonked the drinks down on the table. She pushed a Latte towards Trent before handing over the clones smoothy and picking up her own pineapple juice.
Catching the tale end of the waitresses comment Phoebe glanced up, her eyes locking momentarily with Vincent's. Face flushing a pale pink the woman suddenly found the table top very interesting, her fingers picking at a small hole in the table cloth. "Think there will be any bigger....'earthquakes' this year then?"
((I now have a mental image of Vincent running around with a roll of toilet paper, clogging everyones loo and sniggering like a dastardly villain....o-o'))

Coil was hit by most of the released energy, his body absorbed it but he was still blasted back by the utter force of the impact. He ran up to the limp, weakened Voltedge, seems the markings really set something off in her. The small changes in her body showing that she was drained of energy, he took her hand gently and began to 'recharge' her. Of course he didn't have enough energy himself to charge her completely, but it was going to be enough.
Creature wrapped his injured hand, it was shaking from the sheer pain but he had to ignore it. He turned to the man, who seemingly was left unscathed by the collision against the wall "sorry, I don't run" he once again made a run at the man, the spikes coming at him were a mere obstacle. He jumped upon one of the spikes, with pure force he broke it from its base. He understood the man was out for blood now, there was only one way this fight was going to end. Creature aligned the spike as he came closer, seeming more like a jouster now. He came to a sudden stop, using the force to launch the spike at the man at an unbelievable speed. Creature reverted to normal, his claws and feral look disappearing, he was powerless at the moment, if the attack he just made didn't land, he would be in serious trouble.

Trent sipped his latte. "Huh. You did get it right" he commented with joking non-chalance. He wondered if she got the sandwich right too. Trent looked at people were gathered around the windows to look at the collapsed building and discuss what they thought happened. He didn't want to seem nosey, plus he figured what was behind the cause of the building's collapse. "Those two villain organisations must be fighting again. I don't think I'm the only one who's getting tired of it" Trent finally commented.

Spike was at the end of his line as well. He was exhausted from being tossed into a wall. Several columns of asphalt rose up in front of him to shield him. He cringed a little from the overuse of energy but he wasn't about to give up this fight. If it hand to land in a fist fight, so be it. With more effort than before, he pulled one of the spikes off the ground and began dashing towards Creature. His dash was more of a lumber by now though like one of those large zombies that can hold weapons from Resident Evil. He roared as he did so,holding the spike like a knight would his lance.
VoltEdge remained unconscious but the color was returning to her skin. A little bit of charge really worked some magic when it came to her. One must watch out for the electricity bill when living with her. Then again, this was Verone -- the land of epic hero vs. villain battles. One could simply call rogue and tap into the electricity of their neighbors.
((OOC: Lol~! I love the comment about blaming villains for everything XD XD Definitely fits the context of this RP~ ))

"Perhaps." He replied smoothly. "Mother nature is a unpredictable goddess." He said, sipping his tea. "Do such surprises scare you?" He asked with a hint of kindness on his voice as he looked up into the eyes of her blushing face as he peered into her mind.

Creature cursed under his breath when his attack failed to land, he was prepared to submit to the man and accept death. He heard cheers behind him, he turned to see a few people cheering him on, telling him that he could do it. Less then a minute had passed but he had to try; his mind concentrated on a strong fierce animal, a gorilla kept coming up as his best option. His teeth became fangs as he felt strength run through him, he let out a feral roar that shook the ground beneath them. Creature side stepped as the man ran to him, the spike just passing by him by mere inches, he extended his arm, clotheslining the man.
Coil propped her head up carefully, he was left weakened but he was better off then her at the moment. They needed a better way to recharge, simply transferring energy from one to another wasn't cutting it, and there was the matter of losing power with each transfer.

Serene was finally able to get VoltEdge to sleep. She looked up at Coil as he approached, surely, they were from the same places and he could probably help VoltEdge. She looks pale and sick, Serene doesn't like it at all, she couldn't do anything either. She wished she could control electricity instead of this darkness, if she does she can definitely help her friend. Feeling a little static when Coil recharged VoltEdge, her skin was returning to normal, but Serene knew Coil was also drained. He couldn't help VoltEdge any further. Knowing this, Serene will need to find a powersource to charge both of them up, but where could she go? Powerplants? Oh, if only she knew more. She hardly left the library and goes out during battles, even though she was here before the villians took over. She used the darkness to carry Coil and VoltEdge, they seem too weak to walk, it was like a small capsule, she made sure it was not too solid so they could be comfortable. "Where can we get energy? Do you know?" She looked up at Coil who is now in the capsule she created, she can only see his head. This is the safest way she can carry them, she was afraid of dragging them in with her shadow, though it was definitely faster, she was afraid of what will happen to them. She'll need to drag this floating capsule with her, which would make their journey as fast as a person walking. "I can bring you to the library first if you don't know. Maybe I can use the plug." ((Oops. I'm getting it now (= x =) ))

The clone was distracted as he pulled over the smoothie and sipped at it quietly, and his phone was at his ear held up by his other hand. The beeping of the phone at his ear till his call was answered, seemed to last for an eternity and then some. It was Armand himself that answered.
"I'll be home late," 'Jack' said quietly, and closed the call. His face was a void and he stared darkly at the table till his phone was pocketed away. The words were code, much more inconspicious than 'red alert' or even 'oh holy crap villains, probably, come help'. Meant the same thing, anyway.
The man stood and licked at his own lips, getting the last of the smoothie, now abandoned on the table, off his mouth. "We should go," the clone insisted, and looked with certain seriousness at both of the Kyle's. Though Phoebe seemed strangely distracted, and no odd glances thrown towards the stranger at the other table seemed to explain why. Did they know each other...? Whatever the case, first and foremost objective was to get the Kyle's to safety. Five would be there with the police, then the Gent if it was truly needed, and worth the risk.

Spike was still covered with spikes. That, at least, he could manage. However he fell from being clotheslined and although it took a toll on his back, he kicked the boy in the leg with the spikes that formed on the bottom of his shoes. He'd have to get new, non-spiked ones later on since he could not alter the effects of his own power. But at least, that brought the other guy in for another round of pain, on the house. One must not fight with a cactus with one's bare hands.
One thing VoltEdge learned from her little excursions was to stand in the middle of the street during the night and sap the electricity from nearby buildings. That was one of the primary reasons for black outs and power shortages in certain areas. However, she would only come out and do this when she would feed. That was why no one ever saw her and the frequency of these happenings bringing forth the urban legend and the name, VoltEdge. Right now, the girl lay in her capsule, still unconscious although she did not look as pale as before.
