Lin
Lin sighed in frustration when Sebastet just dropped them back in the main building without warning. She examined the unconscious woman and then knelt down to pick her up. She managed to get her to a room and put her on a bed, then found something to wear to cover herself. She sat down next to her bed and thought about things. With Sebastet out cold, her cats were beginning to stir again. She closed her eyes and focused on them for a moment. They were beyond angry, but she also felt some concern as well. Her cats were wild animals, but they had some desire for her to be happy. And they could feel that she wasn't happy right now. As she focused on it, she sucked in a deep breath and shuddered as something new took her over. She opened her eyes and got up. She looked at Sebastet for a moment and then left the room. She made her way through the Sanctuary and stopped when she reached the door she was looking for. She knocked loudly and waited for Jake to answer the door.

Red Gypsy

It was difficult to say how much time had passed, but the door across the hall sowly opened as wisps of black its spilled through. Ohvan followed it out, carrying an unconscious Morrigan in his arms, her midsection down to her owner thigh wrapped up in his shadowy jacket. The back of her neck and shoulders sported the black lines of his Mark, now matching the same one that Gypsy had as he laid down the wolf by Gypsy to let them sleep together. He was still restless, and left is jacket behind as he began to wander the Sacntuary, quietly taking note of everything he saw. There were others here, he could easily sense that, but he didn't know where they were. Closing his eyes, he sighed quietly and tried to find the kitchen; he was in dire need of a stiff drink.

Jake
Code name: Shade

The sounds of someone rapping knuckles on wood, disturbed the sleeping Reaper. Bring him out of his much needed, deep slumber. His body remained lifeless, while his eyes opened, and turned towards the door. A look of annoyance plain in the mid-conscious state, he was in. Who could possibly know he was here? Other than another Reaper? Even then they would assume that his visit was going to be a very short one. So, who the hell could it be?Shade vanished into the shadows, in between the cushions of the couch. Reappearing at his door. HIs right hand grabbed the door knob, while he leaned in to peer out the peephole. The knocker, turned out to be Lin of all people. " Why did Seb bring her back here?" He thought to himself. Followed by a few mental curses in her direction.
Against his better judgement, Jake opened the door. He took in Lin's demeanor, finding it to be odd, out of character. There was a look in her eyes, that he had not seen before. Jake composed himself, taking on that troublesome, emotionless mask. " Do you wish to discuss things further?" He asked in a serious tone. Little did he know, that this behavior would make matters worse. And, the result of his actions was close at hand.

Lin
Lin stared at Jake for a moment with a blank expression. "There's no real point in discussing it more, so I'll show you instead," she stated simply. And then in an instant, she was getting close to him while plunging a knife into his heart. Her other hand moved to his chest and gripped the amulet he wore. "You probably thought you hid the purpose of this amulet, but I know that you fill it with souls and draw strength from it. I figured that out from the Mark." She kicked his legs out from under him, pulling the amulet from his neck in the process. She tossed it behind her, knowing he wouldn't be able to use it. She knelt down next to him. "I suppose that you can say removing the Mark was like tearing my heart out." She sent the knife into his chest again, just barely missing his heart. "It probably felt something like this." She began to work quickly, cutting his heart out before he could stop her. She stood up and examined the damaged heart she had cut out of him, looking it over before dropping it next to him. She stared at him for a moment, knowing that he wouldn't be getting back up after that without his amulet. He was dead. She walked over to where she had thrown the amulet and picked it up with bloody hands. She held it up to the light and then examined it for a moment before speaking again. "Now I'm addressing the Goddess that idiot sold his soul to in order to save me. I know you can hear me. I want to make a deal of my own, and I'm offering my soul in exchange."

Starry Eyed

The instance in which the light faded from Jake's eyes. A pained scream rang out across the Sanctuary, like that of a siren. The dim light of late afternoon went out as if someone had flipped a switch. The skies were black, clouds swirling in unnatural patterns. Lightening struck the ground multiple times, in quick succession, around Jake's small housing unit. The wind carried a roar a kin to that of an Earthquake. Then came the largest of flashes. An eerie violet light exploded across the skies. Revealing a Figure of unfathomable size. It was then that the roar could be connected to the Shadowy cloak shrouding the figure, flapping in the tempest style winds. Eyes the size of our moon, gazed down upon the Woman, commanding an audience.
" Soul offerings!!", Screamed the winds. " You have murdered my CHILD!!" The anger, and sorrow weighed heavily in her voice, like lead. The very atmosphere cracked with the negative energies of the Abyssal realm. The Goddess would have her soul, that was clear, But she had plans for taking the woman's life as well.

Lin
Lin looked bored and unimpressed by Pandora's display. "Yes, I killed him," she stated simply. "But this display does nothing to inspire fear. I killed him with a very specific purpose in mind, and killing me now would get you nowhere. You can bring him back if someone makes a deal and trades their soul for it. And I'm perfectly willing to give you mine in exchange." She examined the knife she had used to kill him. "If you truly love your precious Shade, make the deal with me to save him. It's as simple as that."

Starry Eyed

The woman spoke with such disrespect, and arrogance. Every word that had dripped from that foul mouth feline, and been a command. This was the wrong manner in which to speak to a Being of her magnitude. Even Fae would see this as a command from a lower life form. And, this. . .Infant had the gull to use such manners with a Deity. What angered the Goddess most, was not even the command to take her soul in exchange for Jake's. No, it was the assumption, that the Goddess had appeared in this way to Inspire fear, or impress the tiny whelp.
Still, she would accept the deal. It was the only way she could bring him back, without, interfering with her child's free will. Even the Gods had rules, that they set themselves, but that was beside the point. " As you wish, My child." She recited the same words, she had spoken to each of her Reapers. When they too had offered themselves to her service. Though, this time it carried no warm motherly air about it. It was have if a mother had given birth to a child conceived against her will.

Before the cat would have time to respond with something, sassy. The folds of the cloak swung open, blocking out the sky to the west. IN an instance a Scythe's blade, the length of six aircraft carries, lined up nose to rear, appeared. Then it came crashing through the air with a sound, like a jumbo-jet's engines. It's arch brought it down low to the ground. It's blade touched several buildings both, before and after. It had met the throat of it's target. Though the only thing effect by it's edge, was in fact Lins throat. As it exited her throat, a small purplish orb appeared riding the blade. And, just like that everything returned to it's normal state. No warning had come, it was as if someone had flipped that switch once again. The sun was halfway under the Western horizon.

The goddess, had sent Jake back to his bed, amulet around his neck. While She left, Lin to deal with the pains, of a dying body. Her soul, in the safe hands of the Goddess.

Lin
Lin could sense that the Goddess hated her, even after the deal was accepted. She knew that her attitude toward the Goddess had been less than great. She was being unusually rude and just disrespectful toward her, all while showing no enotion at all. She would likely be apologizing and begging for forgiveness later, after she went back to her usual self and it dawned on her what she had done. But for now, she would deal with the problems she could. That was the purpose of this part of Lin, after all. She didn't react to the pain her body was in, choosing to ignore it as she moved to examine Jake. She watched him for a moment and then examined the bloody knife again. She picked a spot on Jake's leg and jabbed him with the knife. She made sure not to cause any sort of damage, not even a scratch. She was simply causing a brief jolt of pain to wake him up.

Bethany
Bethany stood at the door to her room, considering whether or not she should leave and risk running into the others around. She hadn't been the same since Blade's death, since she had tried to check on her and had her mind trapped by Gurzil. He had forced her to watch what he did to Blade, forced her to watch as he raped and murdered and devoured her. She had withdrawn into herself as she tried to process what she had witnessed, tried to figure out how to get past it. But she still saw the images every time she closed her eyes and relived it in her dreams. She knew that she had to figure out how to move on. She just didn't know where to start.

She finally made herself open the door and stepped out into the hallway. She felt a presence nearby and turned to find Ohvan a few feet away. She had no idea who he was, but she could smell Morrigan on him. She stared at him quietly for a moment and then looked ahead. "So you're with Gypsy and Morrigan," she said quietly. "Judging by the fact that your future is visible for a bit, you aren't a servant of their Goddess, though you do directly intersect with them again very soon." She turned to look down the hallway. "The kitchen is this way. And yes, they have quite a bit to drink that should suit you." She looked exactly like Morrigan, but there were several differences between them, the most noticeable of which was the fact that Bethany was obviously looking into the future to see where the conversation would go.

Gypsy woke up a little bit after Morrigan was put into the bed with her and smiled at the sight of the Mark Ohvan had given her, fiercely glad that he'd claimed the both of them. She placed a light kiss to Morrigan's neck then carefully got out of the bed and dressed in silence before using the shadows to leave the room, stepping from a shadow onto the porch.

She processed the information she got from her connection to Pandora and frowned over the newest tidbit. It figured that there would be problems with Jake and Lin...

She silently called to Anna, telling her to see to it that Lin and Bethany were put into the training classes they'd started up for the shifters. Admittedly, the classes were originally for keeping the Sandman Packs cubs busy, but it had come in handy when Jake started sending in recruits. But right now, she wanted Lin in the classes to teach her self-defense and better control of her cats. She wanted Bethany in the classes to get her out of her room, give her something to do, and teach her to defend herself; the latter would help a great deal to counter what she'd experienced with Blade's death. After all, if she could defend herself, she wouldn't have worry about falling prey to Gurzil. It wasn't much, she knew, but it was something, at least. Plus, it would put the two females together and she knew that they would have a hard time avoiding the need to help each other.

She also told Anna to collect the money that Jake had left in her room and put it with the rest of their funds in the in Kael's old cache under the main house. Thankfully it was beyond secure since the only ways in and out were only through the shadows or the ShadowFlames that Gypsy commanded.

That done, she considered checking on the newest batch of recruits but hesitated. Lately the rest of the recruits had taken to calling her Lady Grimm, her title from Pandora. It still bugged her but there wasn't anything else that she could think of for them to use instead, so she was stuck with it.

The other reason she didn't leave the porch was because she could feel Ohvan nearby and didn't want to lose that sensation. Strangely enough, she could also feel Morrigan in the same way, though she guessed that she shouldn't have been surprised about it since they'd both been Marked by him.

The Mark itself was very different from the usual type of soul-bonds that mates gave each other. Being a Harvester meant that Ohvan's Mark bound even tighter, allowing him to do things like tell Gypsy to go to sleep and she would simply do so. It also gave her and Morrigan the ability to withstand his heat cycle where it would kill any others. His heat was simply that demanding and draining. While Gypsy's full demonic heat lasted three days, his was a full week. While Gypsy's demon drained the body through pleasure, his drained the soul. With her and Morrigan bound to him, his heat would exhaust them but not drain them. Instead it acted as a loop of energy that wound up filling them all with energy. His Mark dated back to the origin of the demons, back when having 'handy food' was the easiest method of survival. The Incubi/Sucubi line that Gypsy descended from evolved after Ohvan's line and they'd been the preferred choice for companions and mates among the Harvesters.

Right now, Gypsy could feel him nearby and her demonic half was craving his touch. Like him, she could feel him near but couldn't pinpoint his exact location. She knew that Morrigan would come to her when she woke up, but didn't know what Ohvan would do. Thanks to her father, she had no idea of how to interact with him on a daily basis. If she'd been allowed to stay with him back then... Well, her life would have been vastly different now.

Sebastet curled up in the bed Lin had put her in, basically dead to the world and completely oblivious to anything going on. If an assassin tried for her now, she'd be dead meat. Though maybe that line was a little too prophetic as the door to the room slowly and silently began to open...

Ohvan was silent when Bethany approached him, and his eyes flared up as he examined her with a cold indifference. She had a similar feel to Morrigan, so they were related. Sisters, more than likely. She mentioned a Goddess of sorts, something that he couldn't care less about; gods were imply mortals beings with impressive power. Nothing more, nothing less. At her mention of going to the kitchen for something to drink, he silently nodded and strode with her towards their destination, his senses informing him that Gypsy was awake. First a drink, and then to go check on his women to ensure that both were in good health and not too hurt from his sexual tastes. Few beings could withstand his power, as he drained the soul instead of the body. But since he could feel that both of them were alive, he relaxed into his seat and sighed quietly before he followed Bethany to the kitchen. He felt... Strange in this place. Part of him felt uneasy to be around others, especially since he was so often a solitary beast. And Bethany's invasion of his thoughts also made him uneasy, as most of the time he would kill people wo would dare peek inside his head. Ohvan did his best to restrain himself instead, grabbing some strong alcohol from the fridge before silently wandering off and giving both Morrigan and Gypsy a telepathic emotional jolt to let them know he was nearby.

The sharp jab did indeed wake the Reaper. His eyes opening with a snap, to glare directly into the Eye of the jabber. At first he just lied there, running over what he remembered. While the Goddess filled him in on what had transpired after he had passed. The crimson glow in his black sockets, shrunk to a pin point, with every new piece of information.
By killing Jake, and then selling her soul. Lin had ended everything. She had killed him, and then did the one thing he had made her promise never to do. He had fought so hard to keep her soul her's, so she could keep her free will. And now, she had thrown that all away. To top it all off, she had angered the Goddess. Loosing her soul entirely. Jake could see that she was nothing more than a shell, and he chose to speak on that, once she had finished with whatever it was she had to say. " Fallen, broken. Simply dissolved into an incomplete thought. An empty shell, cracked, and disfigured. With no remorse, You have been blinded by the darkness. With no disdain, You have received your punishment. And with no haste. . . You shall await her.", The last sentence was spoke from every shadow within the house. As, Jake had dissolved into the shadows of his sheets.

[ Exit Jake's housing unit. Heading for the Main house.]

Morrigan
Morrigan gasped and woke up with the sudden emotional jolt Ohvan sent. She blinked and looked around, surprised to see that she was back in Gypsy's bed. She felt both Gypsy and Ohvan nearby, but decided not to go to either of them just yet. She got up and walked into the bathroom, turning on the shower and stepping in. She got cleaned up quickly and then got out of the shower and dried off. She got dressed in her usual dark leathers and braided her hair the way Gypsy liked it. She finished up by retrieving her daggers. She stretched and then stepped into the shadow behind Gypsy, slipping her arms around her and placing a kiss on her neck. "Good morning, beautiful," she said, sounding like she was feeling pretty good right now. "How are you feeling?"

Gypsy gave a smile and leaned back into Morrigan for a moment, "Better than I have in a long time, actually," she said softly before shifting so that she was partially sitting on the railing so that she could see her wolf, and Ohvan as he found the front door. As he approached them, Gypsy raised one hand to his cheek but lowered it before she actually touched him.

That was a mark of her life with her father. Thanks to that b*****d she was reluctant to touch, quick to flinch, and had little self-confidence with males. In fact, she would never have touched him at all during their first time together if he hadn't put her hand on his chest for her. Her father was a b*****d of the first caliber. Bad enough that she'd heard a full hour of swearing over it all once.

She took in what was bothering him easily, "It took me a while to get used to it all too. Being a basic mercenary didn't help much on that. But the perk was that I got to kill idiots on a regular basis," she said softly to him before looking back at Morrigan.

"Lin's just done something incredibly stupid. House her up here for a while. She has to get used to being without a soul now. I'll explain it better later. I want Bethany to join the cobs and the other shifters in that class we started up. Get her out of that room for bit and teach her to defend herself. I mentioned something about it it to Anna , but I'm telling you as her sister," she updated Morrigan for multiple reasons, all of which she would understand.

Then Gypsy nearly jumped out of her skin when one of the servants appeared beside Ohvan with a fresh bottle. They still gave her the willies. And the covering red robes didn't help much...

She'd inherited them with the property when Kael died. Though the memory of seeing his head separate from his shoulders was one she actually enjoyed reliving from time to time....

Jake
Code name: Shade

Location:

Jake paused just within the shadows down the hall, from the spare room that had become Sebestat's bedchamber. His reasoning, was the suspicious behavior of a man Jake knew to be the very first recruit. The man was slowly making his way down the hall, knife poised for a deadly strike. At the appropriate intervals he would pause, and look inside a room. Was the man making his rounds? Or, was he looking for something in particular? The Reaper dissolved into his trench coat of shadows. Manipulating it's shape, so that he could slide across the floor and take a position within the recruit's own shadow. Once there he moved up along the man's body, finding shelter in the tiniest of shadows, nestled under the edge of his jaw. The recruit had apparently not been paying attention to his fellow members. Whomever he was, he was lacking in perception. Jake was able to ride within the shadow without so much as a doubted thought crossing the twits mind.
The would be assassin finally came to a door that he did not move on from. Inside lay Sebastet, deep in her concussed coma. The man stepped within, banging his knee on the door as he attempted to close it. Obviously he was not the best of assassins, then again one didn't have to be, when assassinating a cripple. After getting the door closed he slowly made his way across the room, to the bed. His knife raising higher and higher with every step. Jake, wished to see if the man would actually be daft enough to try and murder Seb. So he waited until the man was in the process of striking at the unconscious woman. Before, he himself struck out.
The streaking shadow that was Jake, surged forth across the man's collar bone towards the recruits sword arm. Then he burst into the room from the man's elbow, feet first. Once fully emerged within his feet firmly planted on the ground. His hands were gripping what looked like thick metallic handles, connected by a thin glimmering wire. Pulling it tight as soon as his heels planted themselves. The man's arm fell to the ground as if it had never been attached to begin with. Then Jake manipulated the wire weapon into a goo, which he split in half. Placing one half over the man's mouth, and the over over the stump of an arm. The goo soon solidifying, sinking into the pores of the skin for an anchored hold. He didn't want to hear the scream, nor did he want the man bleeding out, before they could question him.
Jake lifted the man's stumpy arm into the air, and kicked the man's legs out from under him. Sending his head into the ground, with just the right amount of force to knock him out without giving him a concussion. So, that in the mean time he could check the woman's vitals. Once he was sure she was in the clear, he rolled her onto her side. Then turned around to pick the prison from the floor, throwing him over his shoulder. The Reaper took a moment to sense his Leader, and then stepped through the shadows.

Jake dropped Stepped out of a shadow in the doorway. However to his surprise, it was the jacket of a man. This disturbed Jake for a number of reasons. The foremost being, the fact that Jake had not sensed the man as a man. This confused Jake, seeing as even the eldest of their order stood out from the shadows, if you knew what you were looking for . Where as this being appeared to be one with the Shadows. Jake pushed these thought to the back of his mind. Turning away with an emotionless expression.
" Got trouble, Boss.", His voice was flat, deep and resembled the crumbling of a mountain side. Speaking as he dropped the man into a nearby chair. " Found him attempting to assassinate Sebastet.". After his short report, he stood back. Withdrawing a cigarette from his inner breast pocket, lighting it with his zippo.
