Myurai made his way into the building with a smile they had done an exceptional job keeping it intact and repairing what damage it had sustained. It seemed life would return to normal after all. He made his way over to the four anbu who stood in front of a large caged area. He showed them the pass Kinpaku had given him to allow him access to the forbidden section. The anbu nodded and unlocked the gate as he pulled two scrolls from the shelves and headed out. The anbu locked the gate behind him. Myurai rounded the corner and headed up the stairs to his normal reinforced training area. He had requested that they bring up a few training dummies for him to which he was delighted to see.
[1/2][1/3]
He turned around and sealed the concrete room as he took a deep breath making his way to the middle of the room. He formed a seal quickly with his left hand and filled the room with water. Once he got the water up to about halfway full and the water rose above the dummies. Myurai smiled as he stood upon the water looking down. He formed a seal slowly with both hands instead of his normal one handed seals. Once he finished gathering his chakra he slammed his palms into the water and rapidly compressed the water below him. Water being water resists compression and all the compressed energy was released as he finished the jutsu causing a massive detonation that almost broke out of the contained room. He formed a seal quickly freezing the ice then destroying it into crystal ice dust he landed with a thump and a smile.

Myurai lavished in the ice dust that filled the room he enjoyed the sight of them and the subtle beauty they possessed. He returned to his scroll after a moment and began looking over the jutsu he wanted. He was to become a blade in silence for Kumo. As such he would need a way to hunt his targets with them knowing hes there. He quickly formed a seal and watched with a smile as his body faded away to near invisibility. This jutsu would do wonders.
[1/1] [3/3]

Now it was time for him to yet again put his knowledge to the test. Releasing the invisibility jutsu he made his way over to the door and released the seal. As he did so the air hissed out of the room. Making his way out of the room and down to the ground floor where the library was.
[1/3] [1/3]
As he reached the library he began pulling scroll after scroll from the wall. He was looking for something, something that had slipped his mind. Or rather had dawned on him while he was recovering on his ship.
[2/3] [2/3]
He had been working on a seal for quite some time that would negate or prevent the activation of chakra in the area similar to the normality sealing. Taking a blank scroll from the wall he slowly began. First drawing up the formula that he would need. A small circle similar to a summoning jutsu with prongs that looked like the seals he had used on the bijuu. Once he was satisfied with the seal he formed a seal with his left hand and slapped his palm into the seal. The seal crawled up his hand and onto his forearm where it faded away with the rest.

Myurai sighed as he checked the time. It was time for his mission to begin. He took all the scrolls he had removed and put them back in order. He also returned the two black scrolls to the anbu as he thanked them. Turning on his heels he headed out towards the gates.

Haituro continued with the chakra training. He decided he'd be here for a while so it sat down on the ground, gingerly doing so. Haituro knew he had a mission to complete and important one but honestly? Who cared these people were jerks. allowing the chakra to begin flowing through its body Haituro closed his eyes wincing as a shot of fresh pain shot down its arm from its shoulder.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate

Haituro smiled feeling its chakra flow freely around his body, it was unimpeded despite the wounds covering the clones body, that was good, very good actually. It meant his chakra flow hadn't been damaged in the battle with the guys in space suits. Ugh, those bastards.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate

After a few moments Haituro focused the chakra in his right hand flaring out a small flame from it, while in the left the hand became coated in a stone type substance. Slowly he put the two together and molten glass began to drip on the floor before quickly hardening into strings of solid glass.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate

Becoming bored of this training already Haituro closed its eyes and moved the chakra again. This type of training was a hastle, a bore really but it was necessary, the best kept their bodies and minds in shape. Haituro sighed a big deep sigh and stood forcing the chakra down to his feet and began to sprint.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate

The chakra flowing easily through Haituros legs and to the heels of its feet all the way out to each toe lept up and began to run up the wall doing a backflip off the wall as it reached the ceiling. As Haituro landed he winced then buckled landing on his face in pain he had forgotten his leg was wounded.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 5/5

Clutching at his leg he cursed under his breath "Damn it!" he fought back the tears from the fresh pain that had started back up in his leg. After he had calmed down a bit he decided that yes, more meditation would be good. He crossed his legs wincing at the pain in his leg as he placed his hands on his knees and closed his eyes,

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 1/5

The Jounin practiced moving his chakra back and forth from hand to hand, so he could fire off jutsu in rapid succession if need be. The problem was with the amount of wounds he had moving his chakra was dificult. Although, if he could master moving his chakra while wounded it'd be extremely beneficial down the road if he were to become injured again.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 2/5

Spending the few extra moments to move his chakra to his other appendages, feet, fingers, toes, head (Useful for expelling genjutsu). Haituro opened his eyes. He stood and looked around the room as he began to practice the handseals for his various jutsu.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 3/5

Beginning to wrap up his chakra meditation Haituro started to move his chakra around while standing. First his feet moving it down letting it settle. His feet began to glow with a silvery almost reflective quality. After a few moments he began to focus the chakra in his hands with much of the same result, near perfection, only slight wavers in its steadiness.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 4/5

Haituro finished the rotation of the chakra all over his body, then returned to practicing the more advanced of his hand seals, snapping them off in rapid succession. Feeling good about how this had gone Haituro walked to the corner of the room and sat on a chair that had been strategically placed for resting after training or focusing on whatever the shinobi were doing in the room and fatiguing themselves doing so.

❥ Intermediate Training: Meditate 5/5

Haituro limped gingerly toward the bloodline section that mysteriously contained a lot of information about his bloodline techniques. Considering that he was the only known member of his bloodline this was incredibly fortunate. The first he took was an A-ranked ability called "Garasu Chikei no Jutsu, he took it unfurled it and began to work on the hand signs.

[1/3]

Garasu chikei no jutsu, glass terrain technique utilitzed his ability to form glass. Haituro formed the handseals rapidly creating the chakra flow needed to exectue the technique as he did so. A small ring of glass formed around Haituros feet as he formed the hand seals before shooting outward and coating everything in the room in a thick sheet of glass.

[2/3]

The glass was extremely slippery and would create a blinding glare if the technique were exectued outdoors. Haituro stepped on the glass and he had no issue moving across it. "Hmm." Haituro smiled as he threw a kunai at the glass shattering a section of the glass sending shrapnel flying. "I see." Haituro formed the handseal to release the technique. "Kai." the room returned to its former dullness.

[3/3 Garasu Chikei no Jutsu learned.]

Next was a scroll that would allow him to utilize the glass in a much different manner. Haituro once more started forming the handseals rapidly snapping them off. A small gust of wind blew through the room and tiny glass particles laced this wind creating a sharp dust. This technique would definately be irritating to those whom were caught in it. Stining eyes and creating tiny cuts all over their body.

[1/3]

Haituro noted the speed of the wind and realized it was a little to slow, he pumped a bit more chakra into the jutsu. The wind instantly whipped into a frenzy creating more friction on the sand in the air creating larger shards of glass. These would easily be able to create larger lacerations on others, Haituro would have to be careful where and when he used this technique.

[2/3]

Haituro once more canceled the jutsu the cloud turning inward on itself sucking the glass shards from the air before vanishing. Haituro smiled and realized these new techniques were much more powerful than the ones he had learned before. "Good." Haituro walked toward the scrolls replaced the one he just learned with a new one. "Two more to go."

[3/3 Amegarasu Kiregire (Raining Glass Shards) learned]

Haituro pulled out the final scroll before the S-ranked techinque. He smiled as he formed rapid hand seals and slammed his hand onto the ground. Very little happened and he thought to himself. "hmm." I know I did the technique right. Haituro rapidly formed hand seals. "Kage bunshin no jutsu!' a shadow clone appeared beside him.

[1/3]

The clone looked at him. "Lets test this." Haituro quickly formed seals again slamming his hand to the ground once more. Haituro slammed his hand on the ground and again nothing happened. "What the hell." Haituro walked over to his clone and reached out to move him slightly and as he touched the clone a glass box shot up around the clone, air tight and very dense.

[2/3]

The clone stood in the box blinking absently. "Nice." the clone would say then realize his air was running out rapidly. "HEY! HEY! LET ME OUT" the clon screamed. Haituro smiled and threw a kunai at the box, it deflected off in a different direction only slightly chipping the glass. "Good." Haituro raised a single hand infront of him "Kai!" the glass box sunk slowly into the ground melting away from the clone. The clone panted and gasped for air then stood. "a**."

[3/3 Garasu Sajiki no Jutsu (Glass Box Technique) learned]

Haituro strolled up to the academy and walked inside rotating his shoulder it felt much better. Whatever the medical people at the hospital did it worked well. His wounds were nearly healed, that was great. Haituro smiled and decided if he wanted to fight better he'd need to be bigger, stronger, faster. Taking a right away from the academic section of the academy he moved toward the dojo to "bulk" up a bit. He felt scrawny and weak a total push over. Although he specialized in genjutsu he felt that if push came to shove and s**t hit the fan like it did against the UHV his Hand to hand needed to be much stronger, much better. He had to be faster, stronger, smarter. Haituro started slow, jogging around the dojo placing ankle weights on his ankles increasing the strength of his calves, hamstrings and thighs. Panting as he jogged he slowed down to a fast walk. "Phew..." Haituro would repeat the process until his legs were completely numb and could hardly stand, legs shaking from fatigue. At that point he'd walk over to a weight bench and sit down, doing curls increasing the weight every 10 reps until he had made it up to 150 lbs per arm. Once that was done he'd work down from 150 per arm to 20 lbs per arm. Feeling his arms screaming in agony but successfully completing this he'd move on to sit-ups 150 sit ups, starting rapidly but progressively slowing down to a pace that was more rythm than struggle. Once he was done with the sit-ups he lay on the dojo floor staring up at the ceiling his entire body screaming. That screaming was good, it was his body waking up, becoming what it was meant to be. Haituro was not meant to be some scrawny weakling that couldn't even defend himself let alone other people. Well he didn't care about the others, all he wanted was to keep himself alive at this point, screw becoming Raikage, screw this village it is apparent all this world is, is a fight for survival. Either you fight or you die. Kill or be killed no remorse or pity for the weak.

Deciding he had trained enough physically his body feeling much tough, stronger he would walk to the academy grab a scroll then back to the dojo. "Kaiser fist huh?" Haituro read the name of the Taijutsu technique he intended to learn. First he would learn "Heavy Punch" Haituro walked toward a large punching bag hanging in the corner of the dojo. Spreading his legs slightly and pulling both hands down to his sides in a ready position he fired off a strong punch toward the back once his hand hit the bag he stumbled back slightly. "No, not good enough." haituro mumbled to himself. [ Heavy Punch 1/3 ]

Haituro steadied himself and returned to his ready position shooting his hand forward once more toward the punching bag. The punching bag recoiled but so did his arm back away from the bag. "NO!" Haituro shouted frustrated with himself. "Still not good enough!" Haituro grumbled and grabbed the punching bag to keep it from swaying. "One more time." Haituro steadied himself once more. [ Heavy Punch 2/3 ]

Haituro shot his arm forward once more, no recoil, no stumbling and the result was evident. The punching bag shot backward hard enough to tear it form its chain and make the bag slam against the wall. Haituro smiled and looked at his extended fist. "That konoha brat is lucky I didn't know this before that encounter, that knee would've broken his scrawny little neck." Haituro sighed and walked back to the scroll to learn more about this complex armor technique. [ Heavy Punch 3/3 ]

Haituro returned to the dojo placing his hands on his hips and stretching his back. "Back to work." Haituro removed his hands from his hips and placed them by his sides. The chakra in his body moving rapidly haituro closed his eyes visualizing it covering his body as if it were a shell. [ 1/7 Stimulating Armor ]

Haituro opened his eyes and looked down at his body, nothing had happened, returning to the scroll he read a bit then decided to try again this time leaving his eyes open he pushed his chakra outward trying to form a shell. In his ears he heard small crackles of electricity. "Good. It is working." Haituro smiled and the crackling in his ears stopped. "Damn it!" [ 2/7 Stimulating Armor ]

Haituro focused again pushing his chakra outward to encase his body. "Ahhh...." the crackling in his ears started again, "Aaaaaah..." Haituro's fists raised to his sides at 90 degree angles. "AHHHHHHH!" a small pulse of chakra eminated from his body and the crackling in his ears remained. "I did it..." Haituro looked down at his arms there seemed to be a glow emanating from his body and tiny little sparks of electricity shooting off it. [3/7 Stimulating Armor ]

Haituro felt invogorated, he felt he could do laps and laps around the room lift all the weights in the room with one hand. He felt powerful, no fatigue no nothing. Haituro dashed across the room as fast as he could running up the wall doing a flip off it before sprinting back across the room and repeating the action. Not so much as a pant when he was done. [4/7 Stimulating Armor ]

Haituro then proceeded to sit on the bench and lift more weights. Quickly doing his regiment from before but realizing half way through he wasn't remotely tired. "I got this!" Haituro immediately upped the weight to 150 lbs per hand and curled them vigorously noting the lack of protest from his arms being fatigued. [ 5/7 Stimulating armor ]

Haituro dropped the weights to the floor and began doing push-ups. Pyramid style 1, he rolled over raised his hands in the air held them there for a moment before rolling back over, 1-2, repeated the process, 1-2-3, again. 1-2-3-4, no fatigue at all. "I'll bulk up in no time!" Haituro smiled and continued to work out. [ 6/7 stimulating armor ]

Haituro finished the push-ups and stood allowing the armor to dissipate. "No fatigue at all, not even now the armor is gone." Haituro smiled and began to whistle as he walked back to the corner of the dojo where he sat and began to read once more from the scroll. So much to learn from just this one style, so much to learn. [ 7/7 stimulating armor ]

-----ι wasted no time as I arrived at what was left of the academy. It looked like the bodies I'd moved out into the open had been picked up, which was good, at least. But I still had to find my stuff that had been left in the rush of things, so I carefully retraced my steps through the rubble.
-----Thankfully, I had a tendency of working away from the building, so my things, when I found them, were relatively untouched. My jacket, though covered in dust, was still there, along with my bag and Dao sword. Within the bag, the scrolls for everything I was going to learn before the explosion. Good. I grabbed one of the scrolls, the one for Shunkan no Hagane, and unrolled it.

Shunkan no Hagane [Stage Four]
-----Like before, I skipped Swordslinger for the moment and instead looked at the next one I had yet to use. It was called "Hydra Strike" on the scroll. Described as an advanced version of Twin Blade, one I had learned earlier, it increased the number of strikes from two. Alright. That sounded easy enough.
[Hydra Strike - B 1/2]

-----Standing back up, I unsheathed the katana I'd taken from the Anbu Headquarters. I hadn't figured anyone would miss it, so I kept it. It was easier than trying to find a bokken in this mess. Testing it with a couple of feigned slashes, I held it ready in my left hand. Then I struck the invisible opponent before me with a mighty blow, and then again, and again, until the tenth strike I finally stopped, letting my blade fall to my side. It was different training with an actual blade, and my sore muscles didn't like it, but I ignored them for now.
[Hydra Strike - B 2/2 LEARNED]

-----I returned to the scroll, reading the next technique, carefully placing the katana on the ground beside me. Next on the list was part two of the disarming technique I'd learned earlier on. The intent, according to the description, was to break the opponent's weapon. I saw no point in destroying a good weapon, so just knocking it from their hands was enough as far as I was concerned.
[Disarming Two - B 1/2]

-----Retrieving the blade, I stood, turning back to my invisible enemy. It was hard to judge if I was doing something right by waving a sword at thin air, which is why focus was required. I focused on what would be my enemy's blade, and jabbed the katana at the hilt, knocking it clean from their hands. To finish it off, I swung around, knocking my enemy to the ground with a final sweep.
[Disarming Two - B 2/2 LEARNED]

-----Next was the opposite, the second part of the deflection technique I had learned earlier. Frowning slightly at the description, I found myself a bit disappointed. The description was no different than the one for the first deflection technique. But I stood nonetheless.
[Deflection Two - B 1/2]

-----I envisioned my opponent coming toward me, weapon raised ready to strike. While it would have been easier just to sidestep, it wasn't what the technique called for. Instead, I held my ground and braced myself, bringing my own blade up to block their blow. Pushing the blade out of the way then, I jabbed forward into their gut, finishing the invisible match.
[Deflection Two - B 2/2 LEARNED]

-----The fourth technique involved advancing on an enemy to take them by surprise and overpower them. That was useful to the point someone got over confident, which was bound to happen. It happened to the best, though that was because they already had an inflated ego
[Advance of Steel - B 1/2]

-----I chose a simple attack, in this case a forward vertical slash. I dodged a couple of attacks from my enemy, before moving forward suddenly rather than backward. With the enemy caught off guard, I brought my blade up over my head, and then back down on my enemy, knocking them to the ground.
[Advance of Steel - B 2/2 LEARNED]

-----Finally finished with the rest of the techniques considered 'B-rank', and having had a chance to test out a final sword, I turned my attention to the only remaining technique called "Swordslinger" on the scroll. It taught the user to switch between weapons with ease, without wasting stamina and allowing for a constant flow of momentum. Given that I typically dual wielded blades, this was probably one of the most important techniques of the style for me to learn.
[Swordslinger - B 1/2]

-----I picked up my Dao sword and slid it through my belt, holding the katana still ready in my left hand. I took a deep breath, and then moved forward with little warning, jabbing forward with the blade. Switching hands, I quickly drew the Dao and swung in a wide arc before me. Replacing it in its sheath, I relaxed once more.
[Swordslinger - B 2/2 LEARNED]
[Shunkan no Hagane [Stage Four] Mastered]

Shunkan no Hagane [Stage Five]
-----Moving on to more complex techniques, which meant a little more thought in what I was doing. The first of them was titled 'Shearing' and was an expansion of the technique 'Extension' that was long term. By practice for increased speed, the air around a blade could be sharpened nearly a foot on all sides.
[Shearing - A 1/3]

-----First came the issue of increasing speed. I needed to train speed. Holding the katana in both hands before me, my grip tightened on the hilt. Then I ran forward starting a flurry of blows against my invisible enemy.
[Shearing - A 2/3]

-----I continued striking at my enemy, increasing my momentum as I moved. Finally I applied the extension technique to the blade, sharpening the air around the katana. Then I swung around into one of the nearby boulders, cleaving into it. Panting, I left it there until I caught my breath.
[Shearing - A 3/3 LEARNED]

-----Skipping the second technique on the A-rank list, I moved to the next. It was titled 'Crescent Block', an advanced version of the basic block I'd learned when I first started the style. It was meant for easy disarming and use against disabling physical attacks.
[Crescent Block - A 1/3]

-----Standing once more, I held the katana in front of me. Like before, this required holding my ground instead of moving out of the way. I would need to block the blow and move it to the side. If I'm lucky and hit hard enough, I could knock the weapon from my enemy's hand.
[Crescent Block - A 2/3]

-----My enemy charged at me, swinging a blade up and over his head before bringing it down to strike. I blocked the blow, knocking it to the side in an arc, where it stuck in the ground. Shifting forward, I knocked it from his hand before retreating again.
[Crescent Block - A 3/3 LEARNED]

-----Next on the list worked with the 'Shearing' technique. It was titled 'Defense of Steel' and was meant to cut through just about anything as a block, from lower leveled jutsu to physical attacks. That was something that would come in handy.
[Defense of Steel - A 1/3]

-----The technique involved the use of the Shearing technique. Thankfully, it was still in effect from learning it earlier. The question was how to go about learning how to use it. Attacking thin air only went so far. Regardless, I held the katana in front of me.
[Defense of Steel - A 2/3]

-----For now I had to envision an attack. Raising the blade slightly, I waited for the opportune moment to swing, and then brought the katana down through the invisible strike, cleaving it in two. I waited for the dust to settle before backing off again.
[Defense of Steel - A 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The last one the list, but the fourth I was learning, the technique was simply called 'Sword Drawing Technique'. It was meant to be a strike to end a battle before it even started. It involved speed, striking so fast it was nearly impossible to dodge.
[Sword Drawing Technique - A 1/3]

-----I returned the katana to its sheath at my side. In order for this to succeed I would have to strike true and fast. It was meant to be unavoidable, but it wouldn't do any good if I wasn't fast enough in my strike.
[Sword Drawing Technique - A 2/3]

-----Holding my hand over the hilt, I waited for my enemy to approach. As he was in range, my grip tightened and I drew the blade fast, swinging it outward and into his abdomen. He fell, and I returned the katana to its sheath.
[Sword Drawing Technique - A 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The last I had to learn of this style for now was an improvement of the Thread Walking technique. This one would train my to not just walk but run and even fight on a narrow surface. Which meant I needed a way of trying it out.
[Thread Walking Two - A 1/3]

-----I hauled myself up onto the remains of the roof of the academy. I would have to be careful with this. In the condition I was in, one wrong move and I wasn't so sure I could catch myself. Not to mention there was every chance the roof could collapse on me.
[Thread Walking Technique - A 2/3]

-----Standing at one end of the roof, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I liked high places, but there was always a fear of falling. Then, I sprinted forward, following the narrow surface at the point of the roof. I made it to the other end with little effort, but it wasn't much of a way of proving I could do it in a more severe situation.

Hari Haituro

Theme
:: Jounin :: Genjutsu/Bloodline :: Kumogakure :: Chakra 815 / 815 :: Stamina: 515 / 515 :: AC 23625 :: Ryo 312 ::

Haituro formed the required handseals and a shadow clone appeared next to him and took off immediately toward the village plaza to do the work in Haituro's place. Haituro felt that if he didn't care about the village he shouldn't have to but y'know he could be kind again this once. "Back to training I go." Haituro activated his Stimulating armor for this next technique's training. [ 1/3 Kaiser Crown ]

The young Hari walked over to a pair of cinder blocks lifting them both with ease standing them on their narrow skinny sides. and placed a third cinder block on top of the standing cinder blocks. Haituro pulled his fists up to his sides and let out a primal roar before swinging his head foreward allowing it to crash into the cinderblock. [ 2/3 Kaiser Crown ]

The cinder block completely shattered into a million pieces of fine dust, the two that were supporting it cracked down the center and fell in for different directions. Haituro reached up and rubbed at his forehead. A little redness but other than that no significant damage. "Nice." He said as he let the stimulating armor fade from existence. [ 3/3 Kaiser Crown ]

The rest of these techniques would be simple. Haituro walked toward the mannequin placed in the room. Haituro sent out a few practice punches not aiming for the mannequin but in its general direction avoiding contact on purpose as this was part of the technique. Haituro began to increase the rapidity of the punches making sure he could shoot his hand out quickly and not miss its target. [ 1/3 Crumbling overhead ]

Haituro on the last punch he would feint on the mannequin would bring his elbow down where the neck and shoulder met collapsing the mannequin in on itself. The mannequin bounced back up like a true solider and continued to stare at Haituro. Maddening really Haituro wanted to crush this doll in his hand but he knew it would grant no satisfaction. So much pent up anger and frustration. [ 2/3 Crumbling Overhead ]

Haituro would try it once more exntending a single quick jab past the ear of the mannequin. Once the hand was past the back of the dolls head he'd bring his elbow down hard. There was a loud crack as the mannequin's face hit the floor and the rubber head and neck rolled away from the mannequin itself. "Satisfying to say the least." Haituro turned and walked away from the mannequin. [ 3/3 Crumbling Overhead ]

He made his way once more toward the punching bag throwing random punches out in front of him as he walked. As he got to the punching bag he bounced on both his feet nimbly throwing out quick jabs at the air. "These need to be faster." Haituro started to funnel chakra into his arms. [ Sudden straight [ 1/4 Sudden Straight ]

At first Haituro just funneled the chakra into his arm. Then he focused it on the requied muscles, his triceps, biceps and hand muscles. He flexed his hand extending all five fingers before balling them up into a tight fist. The next jab he sent out at the air was lightning quick and would be very much unexpected by any oponnent. [ 2/4 Sudden straight. ]

Haituro turned to the punching bag. Still funneling the chakra into his arm and hand. He would extend another lightning quick jab but it wouldn't produce the impact he desired. Yes it was fast but it wasn't packing the power he had come accustomed to with this style of taijutsu. He recoiled his arm and shot it forward again. [ 3/4 Sudden Straight ]

The Hari would let a smile spread across as his face as he shot his hand forward again this time putting more strength behind the lightning quick jab. The result was evident. The bag would bounce backward slamming against the floor before bouncing back up. "Power.. need more power." Haituro laughed hysterically as he looked at his hand and walked away from the punching bag. [ 4/4 Sudden straight ]

Kiss of Flesh and Steel [Stage Four]
-----Moving onto one of my other learned styles, I opened the next scroll, the one for Kiss of Flesh and Steel. I still couldn't get over the strange names, but they were powerful maneuvers with deadly consequences. The first on my list to learn a prime example. It was designed to dislocate joints, especially the arms.
[Shitsuren no Seppun [Broken Heart's Kiss] - B:Simple 1/2]

-----It took a bit of time but I managed to find a dummy to try the technique on. Grabbing the arm of the straw figure, I pulled toward me while kicking into what would be the enemy's abdomen. Apparently I kicked with enough force to detach the thing from its post. Not to mention my injured leg wasn't particularly fond of the motion.
[Shitsuren no Seppun [Broken Heart's Kiss] - B:Simple 2/2 LEARNED]

-----The next technique was a sort of dodging technique that involved a roll and a slash. When the enemy approached, the user would drop to a knee and roll whatever direction was need to escape along with slashing at the opponent. This was another technique my injuries wouldn't be too fond of.
[Kyuu Seppun [Sudden Kiss] - B:Simple 1/2]

-----Regardless, I did as the technique asked. Moving away from the dummy again, I envisioned an enemy sprinting toward me. I dropped to my left knee, hand on the hilt of my katana, and rolled forward and right, drawing the blade and hacking at my opponent's legs.
[Kyuu Seppun [Sudden Kiss] - B:Simple 2/2 LEARNED]

-----The next technique, after limping back to the scroll, was a complex technique. It involved applying chakra to a blade to pierce through armor before stabbing the enemy through. Finally, it ended with a vicious kick to the gut. If the opponent wasn't wearing armor, then no chakra was needed.
[Iki-jisan Seppun [Breathtaking Kiss] - B:Complex 1/3]

-----The first step was to apply chakra to my blade. By this point it had become an almost effortless task. I stared down at the katana as it almost hummed with the stored energy.
[Iki-jisan Seppun [Breathtaking Kiss] - B:Complex 2/3]

-----Then, I turned back to the dummy, moving closer to it. The blade slid through the burlap sack like butter, then I kicked it back, tearing the sword free once more. Stepping back, I returned the katana to its scabbard.
[Iki-jisan Seppun [Breathtaking Kiss] - B:Complex 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The last of the techniques labeled 'B-rank' was titled, strangely, 'Folding Lips'. It was a technique used to off-balance an opponent with a surge of chakra to their midsection, or similar area. It was meant to create an opening in an enemy's defenses for a final blow.
[Oritatami-shiki no Koushin [Folding Lips] - B:Complex 1/3]

-----This was another technique that was difficult without a living target. Chakra had little physical effect on inanimate objects, but the dummy was all I had. Just like my clan techniques, I focused chakra into the palms of my hands.
[Oritatami-shiki no Koushin [Folding Lips] - B:Complex 2/3]

-----I moved forward on the dummy again, striking it in what would be the chest with the stored chakra in my palm. Knocking it back, I quickly struck it with my katana for a finishing blow. Stepping back, I sheathed the blade just as quickly as I'd drawn it.
[Oritatami-shiki no Koushin [Folding Lips] - B:Complex 3/3 LEARNED]
[Kiss of Flesh and Steel [Stage Four] Mastered]
[Passive reflex increase]

Kiss of Flesh and Steel [Stage Five]
-----The first of the fifth stage techniques, titled 'Cold Lips' required focus and a steady hand. It would play well with my clan's techniques if used properly. It was meant as a counter to stop and opponent's attack before it even began by careful observation.
[Retsu Koushin [Cold Lips] - A:Simple 1/3]

-----First, I had to focus my mind and steady my frayed nerves. I was still on edge, which is why training was so painful. There was always the chance of another attack. But I couldn't focus on that. Taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, I centered myself.
[Retsu Koushin [Cold Lips] - A:Simple 2/3]

-----Opening them again I focused on my invisible enemy as he moved forward. I waited for him to come into range before my grip tightened on the hilt of the blade and I drew it from its sheath in a heavy forward slash. It was a technique meant more for haphazard attacks than precise ones, so it worked well in most cases.
[Retsu Koushin [Cold Lips] - A:Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----Next was a defensive maneuver to allow for an escape in a weapon deadlock. It involved kicking off of the enemy's weapon, pushing it at them. The user would lose their weapon, but the opponent might well lose their balance.
[Arai Seppun [Rude Kiss] - A:Simple 1/3]

-----This meant I had to return to the boulder I normally practiced by--which is where all of my stuff was still. I was planning on using it as the opponent's weapon since it wouldn't move under my weight, giving me the leverage I needed to push the opposite direction. I held the katana in both hands ready in front of me.
[Arai Seppun [Rude Kiss] - A:Simple 2/3]

-----With a mighty downward slash, the metal clashed against stone and held there, resistant to the strength behind the blow. It stung, somewhat, but I released the grip and shot off the opposite direction, landing smoothly a few feet away.
[Arai Seppun [Rude Kiss] - A:Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----I retrieved the katana from where it had fallen, wiping off the blade before returning it to its scabbard. Then I picked up the scroll to read the next technique, the last of the Kiss of Flesh and Steel techniques I needed to learn. It was pretty straightforward. From a rested or sheathed position, the user drew their blade and swung it in a wide arc around them.
[Nushi no Shita [Lover's Tongue] - A:Simple 1/3]

-----Back to the training dummy, I centered myself again with a deep breath. This attack held a lot of momentum behind it, coming from a rested position, so I had to be careful with it. A wrong step and I could hurt myself instead of my opponent.
[Nushi no Shita [Lover's Tongue] - A:Simple 2/3]

-----Ready, my grip tightened on the hilt of the katana. I drew it in a single motion and used the momentum of that to swing the blade in a wide arc around me, hitting the dummy twice as I returned to my original stance. I sheathed the katana once more. That was all that I needed to learn from this style for now.
[Nushi no Shita [Lover's Tongue] - A:Simple 3/3 LEARNED]
[Kiss of Flesh and Steel [Stage Five] Mastered]
[Passive reflex increase]

Basai Bagua [Stage Four]
-----Basai Bagua involved complex but flowing techniques with more than one motion combined. The first of the B-ranked techniques was one such technique. It involved falling on the opponent with a downward thrust, and then stepping away into a wide arc to strike anyone daring to take advantage of the supposed opening.
[Drilling Wave - B:Simple 1/2]

-----Weapon at my side, I held myself low before pushing high into the air. I fell on the dummy with a downward thrust and pushed off of it. Blade still in hand, I swung in a circle as I landed, striking the dummy in the process before returning the katana to its scabbard.
[Drilling Wave - B:Simple 2/2 LEARNED]

-----The second technique was another disarming technique, though this one was designed as a dodge as well as to send the enemy's weapon flying. It utilized the circular footing I learned earlier to move around my opponent, opening them to a strike at the center of weight in their weapon. It also occasionally called for striking the hands or wrists.
[Disarming Wave - B:Simple 1/2]

-----Holding the katana in both hands before me, I slid smoothly around to the side of the dummy. At an advantageous angle, I swung the blade down on what would have been my opponent's hands. Retreating, I brought the sword back to my side.
[Disarming Wave - B:Simple 2/2 LEARNED]

-----There were two stances in the fourth stage of Basai Bagua. The first was called the 'weak position' stance, and focused on fighting with one hand. Or in my case, I would focus on one hand at a time. It provided for easier dodging and better movement, but did little against heavy attacks and deflection.
[Weak Position Stance - B:Training 1/3]

-----The weak position stance was the more thoughtful, more focused stance of the two. It required analyzing the enemy and acting according to their motions. Use their motions against them and strike them when they're open. It would be useful in conjunction to the calm I needed for the Hakemoto clan techniques.
[Weak Position Stance - B:Training 2/3]

-----Taking a deep breath and releasing it slowly, I dropped the katana to my side, holding the point straight forward. From the stance, I slid around behind the dummy again, jabbing straight forward into its back. Withdrawing, I flipped the blade behind me, holding it reverse-hand.
[Weak Position Stance - B:Training 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The second of the stances was the 'strong position' stance. The opposite of the weak position stance, it was designed for brute force rather than precision. The stance was more closed, defensive. It was meant to block powerful attacks, but limited mobility.
[Strong Position Stance - B:Training 1/3]

-----As the more wild and less prepared of the two stances, this one fell into the category of techniques usable when I wasn't level-headed. Which wasn't hard to cause, given how short my temper was. It also had its uses in situations where I was up against someone both faster and stronger than myself, where I could block attacks rather than trying to avoid them.
[Strong Position Stance - B:Training 2/3]

-----Lowering the katana to my waist, I held it at an angle in front of me. Feet shoulder length apart, I was braced, planted to where I stood, which is where the limited movement came from. Using my own weight as support against my attack, I swung the katana up over my head and then back down on the dummy with a mighty blow.
[Strong Position Stance - B:Training 3/3 LEARNED]
[Basai Bagua [Stage Four] Mastered]
[Passive agility increase]

Basai Bagua [Stage Five]
-----Onto the final stage I was going to learn for now, the first technique was another block, a deflection, to be exact. It worked by tensing, which is something I was always taught not to do when blocking, in order to completely deflect an opposing attack. The attack would bounce off of my defense, leaving my opponent completely open.
[Block of Ice - A:Simple 1/3]

-----Without an opponent, testing out the ability was nearly impossible. So this would be more of an examination of technique than actual motion. The 'Block of Ice' technique involved freezing my stance in order to defend against an attack. It worked still in either of the stances I had just learned, but each came with weaknesses that were naturally part of them.
[Block of Ice - A:Simple 2/3]

-----Shifting to the Weak Position stance, I brought the katana up in front of me, as if to block against an attack. Then, I switched my stance to the Strong Position stance, repeating the same block as before. The latter was definitely easier to use the technique in, but it was also designed for such a technique.
[Block of Ice - A:Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The 'Dance of Crashing Water' was a technique that was meant to take out an opponent in a series of blows. It essentially combined everything I had learned up to this point into a single attack. It focused mostly on one opponent, combining quick jabs and broad slashes to inflict deep wounds. It could also be used on multiple targets if used properly.
[Dance of Crashing Water - A:Simple 1/3]

-----I faced the training dummy once more, holding the katana reverse in my left hand. The heavier weight of the blade was beginning to make my muscles scream for a rest, but I ignored it for now. Taking a deep breath, I took a step forward, and began my flurry of attacks.
[Dance of Crashing Water - A:Simple 2/3]

-----I started with a broad arc, taking the blade in both hands, and spun into a horizontal slash. Reversing my momentum, I rammed the sword, once, twice into the abdomen of the dummy. Withdrawing, I slid behind it, reversing my grip again, and ran the blade through its back. Satisfied with the fluidity, I pulled the katana free, and retreated.
[Dance of Crashing Water - A:Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The next technique was the only complex one of the A-ranked fifth stage of the style. Utilizing chakra flow within the user's body, one could move fast enough to dodge most attacks. In the process, they could turn the opponent's attacks against them by tripping them or turning the attack back on them or one of their allies. It worked very well against several opponents attacking at once.
[Dance of Flowing Water - A:Complex 1/4]

-----The first step was to control my chakra to focus on speed. Which meant the joints of my legs. Steadying my breath, I focused the brunt of my chakra into my legs and feet. I let it run freely, ignoring the pain I'd felt up until now in my right leg to allow for fast and fluid movement.
[Dance of Flowing Water - A:Complex 2/4]

-----I shifted my stance first to the Strong Position stance because, according to the scroll, it was the harder of the two to use it in. If I could master it like this, the other would be a breeze. Holding the katana in both hands, I attack the dummy once more, sliding around it and striking constantly until my muscles couldn't handle it any more and I almost tripped over myself. But I had the idea of how it would work.
[Dance of Flowing Water - A:Complex 3/4]

-----Giving my legs a couple minutes to stop screaming at me, I repeated the chakra application and switched to the Weak Position stance. Once more, I took a deep breath and attacked. Just as I thought, this stance was much more fluid, much easier to move in, and I was able to last much longer before I had to give into my aching muscles.
[Dance of Flowing Water - A:Complex 4/4 LEARNED]

-----Only one more to learn before I could relax physically for a while. It wasn't the last of the training I had to do, but I could, somewhat, take a break after this. The final technique was a training one. It was an improvement on the Circle Walking I had learned. Through experience and practice at it, I would be able to move even easier than before.
[Move as Water - A:Training 1/4]

-----The point of the training was to be able to move so fluidly that I could turn and pivot on an instant's notice. Practice, once more, without a live target would be ineffective, so I would have to mostly analyzing technique. In order to shift so quickly, one had to know where to place their weight, which was no particularly easy task, given I was still growing.
[Move as Water - A:Training 2/4]

-----So I started slow and easy. Shifting my weight first to the balls of my feet, I moved carefully but quickly around the dummy. As I moved I gradually increased my speed until I tripped over myself and spilled on the floor like a sheet.
[Move as Water - A:Training 3/4]

-----Picking myself back up and quickly dusting off, I started over again. This time I was able to speed up quicker and kept moving, weaving around the dummy with ease. I would have to wait for an actual fight in order to truly test it out, but I had the technique down.
[Move as Water - A:Training 4/4 LEARNED]
[Basai Bagua [Stage Five] Mastered]

Hari Haituro

Theme
:: Jounin :: Genjutsu/Bloodline :: Kumogakure :: Chakra 840 / 840 :: Stamina: 530 / 530 :: AC 23625 :: Ryo 312 ::

Haituro walked around the dojo a few times hands on his hips deep in thought. Pacing at a slow and deliberate pace. He stopped long enough to flash a few handsigns and create a shadow clone of himself. The clone without a word took off from the dojo toward the village plaza. Haituro himself got back to work since he had much to do it seemed now that he had not only jumped up to chuunin but straight to jounin.

Haituro figured he'd work on the power of his punches adding a little more oomph to them. He stepped up to a punching bag and cocked his fist back swinging it forward as if he were doing his heavy punch technique the bag recoiled badly and his body didn't move an inch but the punch could've been more powerful. [ Meaty Punch 1/4 ]

Haituro tried again with a similar result. He stood there for a moment thinking. "What can I do differently." He smiled as he invisioned leaning into the punch but maintaining his balance at the same time, it'd be difficult to pull off be he was sure he could do it. Haituro cocked his fist back again and let off another heavy punch leaning into it this time. As he made impact with the punching bag he stumbled slightly. "s**t!" He yelled as he regained his balance. [ Meaty Punch 2/4 ]

Haituro turned his hips back toward the bag, keeping them parallel with his feet spreading them hip wide. Haituro shot his hand forward again with another heavy punch the bag recoiled badly haituro lost his balance slightly as the bag shot backward. "Close... but damn it!" Haituro readied himself again grabbing the bag to steady it. He would try one more time sure he'd get it this time. [ Meaty Punch 3/4 ]

Haituro once more repeated what he did putting as much weight into his legs as he invisioned following through the bag trying to punch through it not make contact with it. He pulled his arm back and swung with a heavy hard hitting punch. The bag exploded sending sand all over the floor Haituro smiled as he inspected the bag and realized he hadn't moved an inch besides the slightly movement forward from the punch "Perfect." [ Meaty Punch 4/4 ]

The young man smiled and walked toward a small pile of wood lifting it with ease as he carried it over to the pile of cinderblocks that were used to support such things in the dojo. He placed one of the planks of wood on top of two of the cinder blocks attempting the next technique, this one would require flexibility as well as power and speed a little more tricky than the previous but he was confidient in his desire to become stronger, faster and tougher than ever before. [ Guillotine Drop 1/4 ]

Haituro closed his eyes stretching his legs before attempting this technique. He'd lean to one side stretching the opposite leg all the way out stretching his groin muscles and repeat the action with the other side. With a sigh Haituro stood his soul and spirit had been so wounded during this battle the rigorous training he was doing here was helping to fill the hole in his heart but that was mostly just a temporary fix his vengeance would come down eventually if the right buttons were pushed. He swung his leg out and up high in the air before bringing it down completely splintering the wooden plank. [ Guillotine Drop 2/4 ]

Haituro placed two planks on top of the cinder blocks and stepped back. Closing his eyes he allowed the stimulating armor he learned just a while before cover his body again effectively removing all fatigue, a small crackle would be heard by anyone standing around him but his physical appearance did not change one bit. "Ha!" Haituro shot his leg up and brought it down on the two planks of wood splintering them with ease. [ Guillotine Drop 3/4 ]

The new bulky frame that claimed to be the once scrawny and insignificant Haituro smiled. He pushed away the shards of wood that used to call itself a plank and decided to try it on something much tougher. He grabbed a plate of steel lifting it with utter ease and carried it to the cinder blocks. Haituro stood before the plate letting out a soft sigh as he focused inward. His foot would swing up in the air with surprising speed and be brought down with frightening speed. A small shock wave would emanate from the steel as his heel made impact and the steel plate broke in half. [ Guillotine Drop 4/4 ]

The Hari would once more get back to the next technique, walking toward the punching bag again. Fatigued? No. Not in the slightest. He focused slightly twisting his back fisted his hand and lefted the elbow to a 90 degree angle to its socket before placing the free hand behind the fist and shooting it forward. No balance was lost and the bag shot backward and spun on its chain. [ Elbow Bolt 1/4 ]

Haituro reached out and grabbed the punching bag. Such pent up frustration in this young man. He would shoot repeated elbows at the bag before just turning and beating it down senselessly in rage. "GOD DAMN IT!" His calm cool and collected demeanor seemed to be shattered at the moment but it happens to the best of them. After a few moments of senseless rage Haituro calmed himself and stood spreading his knees to hip distance twisting his back and shooting the elbow out hard invisioning sending it through the bag. [ Elbow Bolt 2/4 ]

Haituro let the invigorating armor disipate to save it for later he mimicked the motion in the air practicing the form. There was no way to tell the power this way but there was definitely means to test the form of the jutsu. The speed was a major factor the opponent couldn't detect it coming, such a surprising move could be devastating. [ Elbow Bolt 3/4 ]

Haituro moved back to the punching bag comboing the meaty punch with the Elbow bolt would be the aim this time. Haituro cocked his elbow and shot it forward at the bag watching yet another bag explode in a sea of sand. "Damn.. at this rate we'll run out of bags." Haituro scratched at the back of his head and spun on the balls of his feet as he walked around the dojo pacing and pulling gently at his hair. [ Elbow bolt 4/4 ]

Haituro let a sick smile spread across is lips. How he hated this dreary village at this point all he wanted to was leave this place. Maybe he would after the training was done but for now he'd use the knowledge of the village to its full extent. He read the scroll a bit learning about this complex taijutsu technique that utilized chakra and physical stamina as well. "Perfect, My stimulating armor, eliminate the fatigue." [ Iron Backhand 1/5 ]

Haituro shrugged and walked over to a combat post with its many arms sticking out of its wooden frame. "Tired of breaking punching bags." Haituro let out a large yawn even though he wasn't fatigued he was just bored. Training was such a bore lately. Haituro began to funnel the chakra into his hand the hand slightly glowing with its grey/silver chakra. Quickly and unexpectedly he brought the hand up and across several of the posts breaking them clean off the dummy. [ Iron Backhand 2/5 ]

Haituro shrugged and figured he go bigger this time he'd aim for the body of the dummy itself. He looked around to make sure no one was in danger not that he really gave two squirts he just didn't want to be attacked if someone was hit by the shrapnel. Again the chakra flowed to his hand as he prepared to pimp slap the dummy. "Hmph" The hand shot out backhanding the dummy the body of the dummy shattered into a million pieces sending wood flying all over the dojo. [ Iron backhand 3/5 ]

Haituro actually took the time to clean the dojo a bit as he had made quite the mess before returning to training. He turned his palm outward and prepared another smack at the air practicing the speed, this was again meant to catch the opponent off guard and send them reeling with a broken face. Haituro smiled he was going to be able to do some major damage with this style. [ Iron backhand 4/5 ]

With a sigh Haituro realized this stage of the style's training was coming to an end finally. He allowed the armor to dissipate and allowed the chakra to flow to his hand testing how exhausting the technique actually was. He'd extend a backhand to the punching bag without much force and was surprised at how little it fatigued him, the rapidness and although powerful not earth shattering strength of the technique didn't drain much from Haituro. [ Iron backhand 5/5 ]

Haituro wasn't exactly tired but mentally he was a bit fatigued he had one hell of a day. Haituro removed the bandages that wrapped his wounded shoulder and as he inspected the area all that was left was a pretty nasty scar that would be there for the rest of his life. Haituro paid it no mind and leaned his head back against the wall as he slid down the cool wooden wall with his eyes closed head tilted up toward the ceiling.

Zama no Seishi [State of Control]
-----I had strained myself physically, and now was the mental part of it all. Both would make me stronger in the long run, once I had recovered from the exhaustion that was sure to be upon me once I'd finished. But, for now, I sighed as I sat down in the most untouched area of the dojo I could find, near a small koi pond, and leaned against a boulder, letting my muscles relax for a couple minutes before starting.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 1/12]

-----Closing my eyes, I drew in a long, slow breath, held it for several seconds, and then released it just as slowly. This I repeated until I felt my chakra gather, center itself in my core. It was a peaceful feeling after the stress of the attack on my nerves.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 2/12]

-----I focused on the chakra network of my body. I had been taught about it growing up, but never truly understood how it worked. With this State, I would be able to not only understand, but master my understanding of the ethereal energy that flowed through all living things.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 3/12]

-----I envisioned the flow as a series of streams and rivers. All rivers eventually led to the ocean, and it was the same with the chakra streams of the body. When one followed them long enough, eventually they would find the source. And that was where control would come from.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 4/12]

-----Vaguely, I could still hear my breathing, but otherwise I was deaf to the world. It could have been falling apart and I wouldn't have known until it was too late. Almost like a state of deep sleep. I followed the rivers downstream, hoping if I journeyed far enough I could find where they led.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 5/12]

-----Sometimes the waters grew so harsh they were nearly impassable. They represented, to me, an untamed spirit. Those were the waters I had to learn to control before I could master the state. I focused on drawing that chakra to me.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 6/12]

-----The great swirl of chaotic energy almost knocked me flat with its strength, but I was able to hold it back from shear will. I pushed it past me and brought it back, over and over until the rapids had become the blowing leaves I associated my chakra with. Not centered, but under control.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 7/12]

-----I drew it in further centering it until a great tree rose over the river. This portion was under my control now, and I was able to finally move on. I still had a long way to go to reach the end, but progress was progress.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 8/12]

-----I began to bring myself back out of the stasis I'd put myself in, slowly becoming conscious of the world around me again. I flexed my hands, clenching them into fists and feeling the chakra flowing through them. I could feel it surging throughout me, feel the control I had over it.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 9/12]

-----Opening my eyes, the light of day was almost too bright. I had to blink several times to adjust to it. But I could sense the invisible aura associated with the states, and the calm mind that came with them. I felt in control of not only my chakra but myself as well. Nothing could move me.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 10/12]

-----I moved chakra first to my hands, and then to my arms and into my body. From there I moved it between my feet and my head, testing how easy it was in the state. What was left was to test the technique that came with the state, described simply as a wave of chakra.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 11/12]

-----I focused the chakra into the palm of my hand again and struck out in front of me. The chakra was so dense it could almost be seen. It was meant not to deal physical damage, but to disrupt the flow of an opponent's chakra, making them lose control of it. Right. That was one down and two more to learn for now.
[Zama no Seishi [State of Control] - B 12/12 LEARNED]
[Wave of Chakra inherited]

Zama no Ikou [State of Power]
-----In the next state I continued my path to finding the source of chakra. With it would come the 'power' the state spoke of. It would make me faster and stronger. As a sword wielder, both were ideal to have.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 1/12]

-----Closing my eyes, worked my way through my chakra in search of the place I had stopped before. It took quite some time because I took the wrong path at first. However, it helped me to find more locations where my chakra was not yet under my control.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 2/12]

-----These wild rapids I used the same method to tame. I drew the chakra to me and moved it around me until they became the leaves I associated with my normal chakra. From there, they formed into great trees that towered above me, signifying my control over them.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 3/12]

-----Even from these, I could begin to feel power grow within me. I already felt stronger despite my exhaustion, like I could run for miles without needing a break. But I still needed more. This wasn't enough. With control came power, and with power I could keep people from dying, like... like...
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 4/12]

-----I almost lost my concentration as I remembered finding Kazumi and Viktor in the remains of the place we had left them. We'd left because conversation had died and Wanryoku and I were eager to train. To become stronger. But I couldn't protect them. I was too weak to.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 5/12]

-----No, that wasn't true. There was nothing I could have done to save them. It didn't matter how strong or weak I was, their deaths had nothing to do with me. But I could change the future. I could become stronger so that no one had to die alone like that.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 6/12]

-----I continued my journey down the rivers of chakra, seeking out other pockets of untamed waters. Each time I was able to find one, controlling it became easier until at last I could change it almost instantly from wild rapids to the calm tree of my centered chakra. It made me feel accomplished, like all of this meditation hadn't been for nothing.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 7/12]

-----I still had no luck finding the source of chakra, but I was still making progress. The rivers were getting wider, harder to navigate, and harder to tame now. Where I thought I no longer had a problem controlling its streams, I could barely tame a ripple.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 8/12]

-----I was forced back on the river, and forced out of my meditation. The resistance had been too strong. I wasn't ready to move on yet. Bringing myself slowly out of the sleep-like stasis, I became more aware of the world around me again.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 9/12]

-----I drew myself from meditation back to the world of the living, squinting against harsh sunlight. Despite the pressure that had rejected my passage, I could feel the aura of power that came with the state flowing around me. I felt stronger, no longer tired after the long hours of training before hand.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 10/12]

-----All that was left of learning this state was to test out its ability. I stood up carefully, which woke my legs up rather abruptly and I almost stumbled. The first step of the technique was to channel chakra. After so much practice with my superficial chakra, doing so was easier enough.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 11/12]

-----I then sent the gathered chakra into my muscles, forcing them to tighten as far as was considered safe. It gave me energy I'd never felt before. I felt unstoppable. But I knew better than to be over confident like that.
[Zama no Ikou [State of Power] - B 12/12 LEARNED]
[Muscle Spurt inherited]

Zama no Bensho [State of Defense]
-----The last of the states I was going to learn for now was a little different than the others. Instead of centering myself, I had to be alert and at attention to everything going on around me. But what the state did was very helpful.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 1/15]

-----In the State of Defense, I was limited to what strength of technique I could use. As the scroll explained, I couldn't use anything above what was considered a 'B' ranked technique, regardless if it was a Bukijutsu or Ninjutsu technique. However, in exchange, no Ninjutsu techniques below the equal rank could touch me, and perception gained from it made seeing through Genjutsu easier as well.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 2/15]

-----In my opinion, this may well be one of the most advantageous of the states, especially if my opponent is Ninjutsu or Genjutsu based. Against a Buki or Taijutsu opponent, it was of little use though. But that was where the State of Power came into play.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 3/15]

-----Sitting back down, I took a deep breath to relax my senses and open them up to the world. It required constant vigilance of the world around me, and would work so long as I was aware. The moment I failed to be aware was the moment an enemy could break through my defenses.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 4/15]

-----Given I was tired both mentally and physically, it was hard to focus on my surroundings. I couldn't 'sleep' as I had done for the previous two states. No, I had to analyze my surroundings, feel everything near me.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 5/15]

-----The water, fish in the water. The rubble that was left of the dojo and academy. The boulder I was sitting against, the ground. No, there was more to it than this. These things were only superficial. I had to concentrate.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 6/15]

-----I had to search below the ground, below the water, above the sky, to find the ethereal for that was chakra. I began to feel it in everything alive, from the worms in the dirt beneath me to the great rivers of energy we called stars many, many miles away. They were the source of life, but were they also the source of chakra?
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 7/15]

-----Gazing up at the sky, I felt my thoughts slip back into themselves. Was there a reason? I was so tired. But I had to finish this! I couldn't let my exhaustion win.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 8/15]

-----When I did open my eyes, it was to the familiar sight of the river that moved my chakra through my body, its light almost holy before me. What did this have to do with learning defense?
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 9/15]

-----I drew my chakra to me, swirling it around me with ease. At first anyway. Suddenly I was surrounded, drowning, without a sign of which way was up or down. I tumbled through the white light until it at last discarded me in what seemed to be a dark cave of some sort.
[Zama no Bensho[State of Defense] - B 10/15]

-----It was an immense cavern that's ceiling sparkled with small lights. Before me, however, was an orb of pale green light. Entranced by it, I stepped forward, reaching out to it. As my hand touched the orb, the light flooded over me, surrounding me like a comforting blanket.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 11/15]

-----I jolted awake, eyes wide, and looked down at my hands. They were surrounded by the green light, darker now to match the color of my chakra. Mystified, I slowly pushed myself to my feet, using the rock behind me as support.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 12/15]

-----I felt like I could see and hear everything. I felt aware, like nothing could escape my notice. This is what it meant by defense? Not necessarily physical defense but a mental one that let me prepare for just about anything thrown at me.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 13/15]

-----Like the past two, I had to test out the technique associated with the state. It was used to literally slap away both physical and chakra based attacks. However, while it could be used on any physical attack, it only worked on chakra based attacks up to what was considered 'A' ranked.
[Zama no Bensho [State of Defense] - B 14/15]

-----I focused chakra in the palms of my hands, and then whirled on the rock behind me, injecting the chakra into it. Had it been smaller it probably would have broken in two, but the strike simply left a large crack in its surface. Grinning in satisfaction, I released the state. It was time to move on to something else.
[Zama no Bensho[State of Defense] - B 15/15 LEARNED]
[Parrying Palm inherited]

Intermediate Training
-----I sat down again with a sigh. Next up was meditation to deepen my chakra and stamina pools so that I could last longer in battle. The fight against those soldiers had revealed to me I wasn't as ready for battle as I thought I was. Just escaping from a hold had left me nearly collapsing from exhaustion.
[Intermediate Training: Meditate - 1/4]

-----I closed my eyes, running through the hand signs we had learned in the academy. They were required to focus chakra into specific forms and use different techniques. A wrong sign could result in a failed technique. I ran through them five times before moving on.
[Intermediate Training: Mediate - 2/4]

-----I returned to the riverside, beside the main flow of chakra in my body. I couldn't cross it yet, but I could make it deeper. Perhaps extending its boundaries would make it easier to tame in the long run. I could only hope that was the case, or I would be making it more difficult for myself.
[Intermediate Training: Mediate - 3/4]

-----Kneeling beside the wisp of water, I cupped my hands together and dipped them in, drawing out a handful. I brought it to my lips and drank, instantly feeling my chakra expand. The rivers edges grew ever so slightly.
[Intermediate Training: Mediate - 4/4 COMPLETE]
[+25 Chakra and Stamina]

-----Returning myself to the present, I repeated the process. I still needed more. It wasn't enough. I had to keep going even if the work was exhausting.
[Intermediate Training: Mediate - 1/4]

-----Once more I ran through the hand signs. Ne, ushi, tora, u, tatsu, mi, uma, hitsuji, saru, tori, inu, i. I went through these ten times this time, closing my eyes half way through in order to make sure I had them memorized and could do them without looking at my hands.
[Intermediate Training: Meditate - 2/4]

-----Finishing with them, I let my mind slip into itself until I found myself at the riverfront again. It still looked calm, but after having traversed it, I knew it was anything but. It wasn't time to try to pass it yet.
[Intermediate Training: Meditate - 3/4]

-----I knelt once more beside the white stream and lowered my cupped hands into it. I took a handful and brought it to my lips, drinking it all. Just like before, I felt the chakra in me swell, and the river's boundaries grew.
[Intermediate Training: Meditate - 4/4 COMPLETE]
[+25 Chakra and Stamina]

-----I pushed myself up to my feet. The next step in this was performance. For the first part, I would use chakra, and the second I would use stamina. I moved away from the boulder so that I had plenty of room.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 1/4]

-----First was to make sure that my chakra flow was not interrupted in any way. I moved the chakra back and forth from my head to my feet, and then through my arms and hands. I met no superficial resistances, but I knew if I dug deeper, I would run into them eventually.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 2/4]

-----I only had a couple of techniques that relied purely on chakra at this point. I would need to rectify that once I had recovered a bit more. But for now, I simply created a clone, letting it dissipate after. I repeated the simple technique twice more.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 3/4]

-----Finishing with the clones, I moved to something more consuming. Yaiba no Jutsu was one of the Raiton techniques I had learned. The lightning of it still freaked me out, but I could handle the small amount of it. Holding my left hand in front of me, I focused chakra into my index and middle fingers. The electric blade extended from them until it was about eight inches long.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 4/4 COMPLETE]
[+15 Chakra and Stamina]

-----I released the chakra flow from the blade, letting it fade away again. With the chakra portion of the training finished, I moved onto stamina. Going about it would be interesting to say the least. It required a little more physical activity than the chakra part.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 1/4]

-----To warm up after sitting still for so long, I decided to take a lap around what was left of the building. By the time I finished my right leg throbbed and my muscles screamed at me in general. However, I felt much more awake.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 2/4]

-----Like with the chakra techniques, I started with something small. Namely, the basic chop of the Shunkan no Hagane style. Retrieving my katana, I held it in both hands before me, and then raised it over my head, bringing it down strong and fast to strike an invisible enemy.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 3/4]

-----For something stronger, I chose Dance of Crashing Water from the Basai Bagua style. It had several motions to it. First, I stabbed forward once, twice, slide behind my opponent with a wide arcing slash, and then brought down the blade on my enemy's shoulder before withdrawing and flipping the sword to reverse grip.
[Intermediate Training: Performance - 4/4 COMPLETE]
[+15 Chakra and Stamina]

Genichi drunk walked into the Dojo and lifted his knee up high and let out a "Wutaaaaaawwww!" He looked at all the other shinobi, Gen was the only Genin in the village, so he stuck his tongue out and pulled down his eye. "Bakaaas!" He started to walk off again this time to a more private drinking space.
[1/2]

Finding a new room, one with a hanging punching bag, a boxing ring, and all the weights in the world. This was a place fit for any Oni clan member, bets, booze, and women! Taking a long hard pull off from his Sake, Genichi took this a little more seriously now. He started off after the punching bag and at the last second stopped right before it and sprung up his knee. The impact knocked the bag back enough for it to swing. He jumped back before the bag could knock him back as hard as he struck it. Genichi burped and took another pull from his gourd of sake.

Iwagakure no Taijutsu :: Stage 2 :: Hourakushou [ Cave-in Palm ] :: Simple :: Rank D :: Training

Genichi walked over to the scroll cabinet and read more on the Iwagakure no Taijutsu style, although it differed from the village's Kumogakure no Taijutsu, this particular style worked well with his larger body set. And he knew they would be better when he was wasted... He now new what he needed to do in order to reach Stage 4. He walked back to the punching bag and palmed it easy to test the bags weight. Gen looked up and saw that it was a 100 pound weight. His grimace was no more than a cheshire cat on black Friday.
[1/2]

Taking a step back, and feeling the drunken energy flow through him, he open palm striked the punching bag. Sending it back all a little ways, but on the back slide of the bag he snapped his gourd to his belt, shifted to the other side of his body and thrust out again this time harder and taking a step for momentum, Genichi palmed the bag once more sending it all the way back until the chain snapped off and the bag was sent flying. He breathed a little heavier and then took a long haul off his gourd. With a big sigh of relief Genichi was done his Stage 2 training.
