Though your character starts off as their own unique being, after the world becomes the Mushroom Kingdom and every place else in the Mario world, they take on the role and many mannerisms/similiarities/whatever of whichever character/monster/role that they have.

Mala chuckled softly, quietly. "Yes, some rest would do us all some good." she muttured, closing her eyes slightly now, holding Anise a little closer to her now. "I love you both so much..."

"I love the both of you too. Here's hoping I can continue living to enjoy it." Van muttered quietly, giving Mala a soft kiss on the cheek before returning to cuddle mode to take a nice, long, well-deserved rest.

"You will, I promise." Mala mumbled faintly before drifting off into a deep slumber, sitting up and holding Anise just as she was awake as she slept.

"I feel a little bad now...If I had known they were expecting before, I would have thought getting them something as a baby shower present." Jaquel thought out loud, enjoying a nice cup of tea while they let the happy parents rest. At the moment, his hair was tied back and wearing rather ratty clothes as he had been forced to help in the process.

{You can never search up goats either without getting goatse'd. You also can't read anything funny on ED half of the time without being flashed by a porno ad. (Then again, ED is a pretty MA site) Anyway, people are perverted and stupid little ********. This has, sadly, stopped surprising me years ago. crying }

"We can always get them a nice present later, once we've gotten back on our feet." Ariae pointed out with a small smile, taking a sip of her own tea afterwards. To be perfectly honest, she almost envied Van and Mala. They were still having kids, even after this many years. But ever since Ariae had gotten back together with Jaquel, no matter how many times they tried, she was unable to have another baby. She eventually just gave up the thought and accepted the possibility that she'd never have a child again. But at least she and Jaquel could be together...

{Since no mention of pregnancy or children was ever made for Ariae, this is the conclusion I came up with. Please tell me if there's any problems with this.}

"And once we can all settle down again too. Then again, I suppose there's really no such thing as an uneventful eternal life. Something always has to happen or recording history would be pointless." Jaquel mused.

Ariae chuckled softly. "That's true. Let's just hope we get mostly pleasant events."

"I'm sure karma will be kind to you now, although I'm probably due for punishment for my days as a demon...." Jaquel said, causing him to mope and gloom in shame, as he often did when reminded about such things.

"Are you kidding me? I was such a delinquent whore for so long, so violent and amoral at heart! If anything, I'll not escape punishment either!" Ariae said, looking away in shame. "At least you never became so hateful and cruel willingly. I, on the other hand..."

"You'd been through a lot and had good reason, anyone would stop trusting people after you'd been through." Jaquel said putting an arm around her shoulders.

((For some reason I'm imagining Kai and Larai exhausted and/or passed out in a nearby corner, partially traumatized from witnessing the miracles of childbirth. XD ))

Ariae looked up at Jaquel, finally, still not seeming all too assured. "I love you, but you know I was no better before I met you than I was when we first reunited - in fact, I was twise the drunkard as I recall."

((But Ariae and Jaquel are totally cool with it since they did it before. cool ))

"Yet you still found it in your heart to forgive me, even though I hardly deserved it." Jaquel said.

"It was difficult for me, though. I desperately wanted things to be the way they were before that damned war, but I got in the way of myself for the longest while - acting crueler than I had to be." Ariae said, averting her gaze once more. In truth, she only acted so terribly out of fear and mistrust - which had multiplied over the numerous years they spent apart with all that she went through. "Even now, I still have some of those horrible tendencies."

"I would've been the same way if I was in your position." Jaquel said, setting his cup down to hold Ariae close and give her a comforting hug. "Again, you've been through a lot. I'd been you're husband for well over a century, learning to trust again is different with a loved one than with a stranger."

Ariae rested her head on Jaquel's shoulder, finally letting herself hold a faint smile. "Thank you, Jaquel." she muttured softly. "I love you, Jaquel, and that kindness that you always hold."
