'.....' The dagger fell into silence for a while. 'I used to be a sorcerer. I caught my wife cheating on me with another wizard and then it devolved into a screaming match while flinging spells at each other which resulted in her sealing me up in this stupid thing.'

"If that's the case, she'll surely let you out - probably just so long as you don't make any lewd comments towards her or something." Larai assured him with a small smile.

'If you were a once married man of my age that hadn't gotten laid in well over a millennium, you'd be making lewd comments too.' The dagger said.

"I'm over five hundred years old and I've never once had an interest in sex. I might've tried to impress boys to prove a point, but that's it." Larai said with a small shrug, really unable to relate. "Mother and Father might share your sentiments, though. They can be quite embarassing at times."

'They clearly have a soul bond between them. While I myself have never had one, I've heard the sex is amazing. Just by that alone I can tell at least one of them has to understand. At the very least your father by the sound of it.' The dagger said.

"Apparently so, judging by how loud everything was when they forgot the sound barrier." Larai said, shaking her head softly and looking embarassed. "I think something happened, but I don't really remember. I wasn't paying much attention or I simply forgot."

'I swear, what is young people these days? When I was your age me and every guy I knew was trying to get laid!'

"I'm not that young, I'm just an exception. I'm not interested in sex, as I've said, most of the men I've seen are boring idiots." Larai said with a shrug, sounding slightly distainful as she said the word 'idiots'.

'Ugh. The boring, non-magic-using mortal count must have increased in recent years.' The dagger said.

"Magic is at an all time low." Larai confirmed with a small frown. After a seccond of silence she asked, "What is your name, if I might ask, sir wizard?"

The dagger seemed to shine a little brighter from the compliment. 'I can't say I've ever been called 'sir' before, but you may call me Guile.'

"It's nice to meet you, Guile. My name is Lorelai, but everyone just calls me Larai." she replied, continuing to smile at the blade.

'Lorelai....I think there was an old group of pagans with their own goddess of the same name. Though the amount of people that still know that or slim to none nowadays.' Guile said thoughtfully.

((LOL. I couldn't remember the word pagan, but I knew it started with a 'p' so I went on wikipedia to look through the table of contents for religion-related words. At some point I saw they had categories for 'Popes' and 'Sexually active popes'. Because there is a difference you know. XD))

"Really? Maybe that's where she got it. Mother has always loved mythology. And reading." Larai replied with a soft chuckle.
