Kagerou did not like how unreadable the current Kumotake was. If she couldn't tell what he was thinking, then how could she help him? Granted, he hadn't asked for help in the end, but Kagerou's intuition was telling her that he really needed held. She began to wonder if maybe she should have gone ahead and been nosy, reading through the clearly hidden writing in his notebook. she resolved, standing by her decision,
She was lost in thought, unconsciously biting on the tip of her thumb when she felt the ghostly touch on her shoulder. A shiver ran through the ever readable Kagerou as all motion seemed to cease in her body. Her eyes wide, she almost couldn't piece together that, rather than a poltergeist, she had just been touched by Kumotake. Fear? Of course a little, but Kagerou had actually seen real ghosts before, and she knew from her mother that there were people far worse than Kumotake, or at least the Kumotake Kagerou knew, loyally serving the village. These factors combined helped Kagerou remain calm. In fact, after the initial shock, she even managed to smile, very gently at that. After all, if she trusted Kumotake to mean no harm, which she did, then the only logical way to take what he had said was an invitation and acceptance. Whatever it was he had wanted from Kagerou, and whether or not she had accomplished it, he was welcoming her to get closer to him. Of course, Kagerou had no reason to reject.
She turned to see Kumotake taking in the entirety of the mission board, eyes roaming through each option. Through his mask and the general unreadability of his face, it was hard to see what he thought of each posting. Besides, Kagerou didn't look closely at him for long enough to tell. The scuttling of Sukoso had drawn her attention. The littler bugger was trying to discreetly salvage his study materials. "How diligent," Kagerou commented in warning of her imminent approach. She stepped over to Sukoso and knelt down beside him and his collection. Treating it as the research material Sukoso considered it, Kagerou very neatly helped him pick up what he hadn't already gathered. Straightening it out, Kagerou handed the magazines over to Sukoso. After the spider freed her hands by taking the magazines back, no doubt something he would do with all haste, Kagerou delivered a warning suggestion using the various hand motions and clicks demonstrated in the book, "I suggest you take these and anything else you've hidden and keep them safely stored away in your room, where it's easier to keep track. I'm sure you understand, so if I happen to find any others like these lying around, I'll just go ahead and burn them on the spot." There might have been parts where the meaning wasn't clear, a fault of Kagerou's communicating skills not matching the complexity of what she wanted to say. However, one thing that was definitely made clear was the part about burning any indecent material she happened to find. Before standing, she gave Sukoso one last smile after making her point unclear, apparently unperturbed by how funny she may have appeared speaking with clicks and hand gestures, especially considering the cockroach armor she still wore.
It didn't take long for Kagerou to join Kumotake at the mission board. She intentionally took the couple more steps to stand on the farther side of him, which purposely placed her between Kumotake and a red-haired, bright eyed child a little further away. It had not escaped her notice that this kid had been staring at the board for a while, looking a little lost. While Kumotake finished his pondering of the board, Kagerou very obviously stared at the very color coordinated first person at the board. She didn't need to look at the board. She already knew what she wanted to do, and if Kumotake insisted on her following him, then she was going to at least try to get a say in what she wanted the two, possibly three if her plan worked, of them to do.
When the gold and red fellow genin would finally notice Kagerou's intent gaze and turn to look at her, he would receive a super friendly chuckle from Kagerou right before she began to wing her plan. She gave a nod and twist of her head that was meant to beckon the red head to her side before facing forward and stepping back so she could see both old and new friends. "The three of us," she put a lot of emphasis into the number of people, "should go and run some medical jobs at the hospital." She was smiling, and what she said was only meant to be a suggestion. She gave her reason for why Kumotake should do medical jobs, "It's mostly because I want to advance medically, but also, Kumotake, I think the hospital will definitely appreciate any knowledge you bring on Kikaichu and Aburame considering how much influence the clan holds in this village. Your notes on the subject are really good. I can't remember finding anything better in the village. Then again, it's true that I didn't look too hard." Then, she proceeded to give the reason for the other kid, "As for you… I…" Kagerou let the suspense hang in the air for a bit. She gave the most knowing look… for all of two seconds. Then she broke into a short giggle fit, unable to carry out her joke. "Sorry. Sorry. I couldn't finish that joke and say that I didn't know you with a straight face after making it look like I did," she tried to explain, wiping a tear of laughter from her eye. Punctuating with a cough, she proceeded with what she really wanted to say, "So yes, my name is Kagerou, and it's nice to meet you, stranger. I don't know who you are, but you seemed a bit lost. You should come join us, whether we go to the hospital or elsewhere. In my experience, a good way to solve not knowing what to do is to try as many things as you can. Kumotake, you don't mind, do you?".
Oh boy, a girl in a cockroach armor. Albeit, a very nicely smiling girl who seemed pretty normal, if a little too familiar. What kind of first impression would that leave?[4/20 cockroach armor]

Past the starting two, she must spend a total of 5(n-3)+10 energy split evenly between chakra and stamina for each additional target; n = number of targets. Katsurou Yamanaka
Katsurou fussed with the papers around the mission board with intense focus, completely unaware of the two upperclassman approaching. He turned his head with mild interest to find the scary spider kid from earlier that'd been talking to the kage. At least the seemingly important conversation was over. It also made him feel better about the busy work that his mission board renovations were so quickly helpful to others.
His eyes were immediately drawn to the spider one's side - where a girl was staring intently at him. He was frozen in her gaze for a moment like a dear in headlights. She suddenly chuckled and he couldn't prevent flinching this time, feeling like something horrible was about to happen. Her life wasn't necessarily maniacal but paired with her gaze, it unsettled him greatly. He furrowed his brow as she began speaking about their trio - of which he hadn't realized he was a part of - going to the hospital. He wasn't opposed of course, since he needed to do something while he waited for the kage's decisions on squads.
Her explanation to Kumotake about the Auburame clan was the last puzzle piece he needed. It made sense that the spider kid was a part of the bug-related bloodline. But to corral a personal, large spider... the Kumotake had to be a tamer or something crazy to be able to use a spider as a pet like that. It didn't put him any more at ease, but he supposed that couldn't be helped. The staring lady had armor that made her look like a bug too, so maybe they were family. He felt like a stranger for not having a bug-related theme going for himself.
"Hi... Kagerou. Uh, I guess that's fine." He nodded with more certainty than he'd spoken with, but he kept nervously glancing at Kumotake as if expecting a spider to pop out at random. "I'm a medical student so this will be good practice for me," he replied.

Kumotake's ears would sharpen to hear the now insect enlightened Kagerou performing basic communications with Sukoso. Normally the actions she was engaging in were associated with Aburame toddlers who had yet to produce a true connection with their kikaichu yet. As such Kagerou's clicks and arm movements would be responded with narrowed eyes and a muffled short laughter coming from Kumotake at the board "Kukuku." Still her message was made clear to the spider hybrid whom hastily as expected accepted the various swim suit editions. Although rather than a portrayal of fear the eight eyes all locked on to Kagerou and she'd be met with a variable return of hiss and clicks. "You're taking responsibility if Kuku dies alone." But for Kagerou this sentence would turn into something more over as something like your duty host death if one. while falling deaf to Kumotake as it seemed Sukoso was under the current belief that Kagerou was capable of fully understanding him the spider seemed to be passing down some form of 'will' unto her. Whilst she would return to the Kumotake and the red head to perhaps try and process the meaning Sukoso would begin cocooning his collection in silk to form a bag so that it's transport would be simpler.
When Kagerou arrived and expressed her idealistic plan to venture to the hospital Kumotake's response was a bit viral as he looked back at the board again with a "Tch..." as if to dismiss the suggestion in it's entirety. Not only was the hospital the place were Noemi had to snap some sense into him but it was also were he discovered that the living garbage of his dad Okabe was still alive. Moreover Kagerou seemed insistent on bringing the Yamanaka whose bright eyes about the life of a nin made his stomach churn. Was he there for the flood? Was he there for the nightmare? Did the previous Kage's death carry any weight inside him? Like most he was probably only told stories of these events. How bright eyed would he be then if he actually been part of them? No doubt he'd be as dead inside as Kumotake was now. He'd have to be. Or these bitter feelings Kumotake was having right now wouldn't be validated.
At the same time biting his lip beneath his mask a Kagerou addressed the Yamanaka. Kumotake's thoughts still spinning in a downward spiral. Kagerou must feel it to. That smile of hers, it has to be one that masks her inner turmoils. Right...but she...she hasn't given up yet. But why did she insist on forming a group of three. Gross. Why did she pick the bright eyed child. Gross. Is she trying to counterbalance her our inner suffering by juxtaposing this pure Yamanaka with our tormented souls. Gross...ah this was assuming of course Kagerou's soul was tormented like his own. Of course it had to be. Or these nihilistic feelings Kumotake was having right now wouldn't be validated.
However, Kumotake was forced to return to reality if either had been looking at him at all he would appeared to be in deep complacent thought. However, the feelings behind said thoughts much to Kagerou's dismay would again be difficult if not impossible to register. He must have been troubled to some degree having ignored Sukoso the way he did at that time. Speaking of the devil the spider would find itself reuniting with his host now sporting a backpack of its own in silk. It was uncanny to think a creature whose kind falls prey to magazine would be so determined to keep them. The spider now looking more so turtlesque would tap the Kumotake so lost in thought bringing him back to reality.
"Ah...right well if that's the case the hospital would definitely be a good place for the two of you...er but even with my knowledge I'm not a certified medical nin my usefulness in said department is lacking." He was outnumbered 2 to 1. It's not that he didn't want to go to the hospital, he just didn't know if he was ready emotionally. All in all it felt like a Shadow visit all over again. Kumotake seemed to mull about the situation only to come up with something that seemed to be spoken out of place. "I'll find someway to help you out more. I'll meet the two of you there. Go on ahead. I need to drop off Sukoso's load anyway." With that both Sukoso and his Host were gone~ Exit to apartment
Although what seemed spoken out of place as said earlier might've resonated all the more with the sentence "I'll find someway to help you out more." Not being of a medical profession how exactly would Kumotake do so and would Kagerou know the boy enough from his notes to make an educated guess?

•Adhesive Pores: Kumotake can now crawl or crabwalk creepily on all fours. When doing so he can climb flat surfaces and cling without the need for the water walking jutsu. Still, this is incredibly slow and inefficient for any purpose other than stealth. It's also incredibly unsettling to watch.

The gloves allow interaction with chakra structures and the pores on the gloves themselves can produce threading from each fingertip. The threading can then attach to structures allowing them to be manipulated by pulling them. These threads are not unlike chakra threads in strength but are clearly visible. When finger tips are brought together the produced threads can fuse into one leading to garrote wire like executions.

Before Kagerou could object to Kumotake's self-perceived uselessness, the lanky teen had made it out the office in no time. "What the… Everyone has to start somewhere. It's fine to learn from scratch," she mumbled to herself. The two, Kumotake and Sukoso, made such a cryptic pair.
Although, Sukoso not making sense was mostly her inexperience with the kikaichu language. The spider certainly sounded like what he said was important, and Kagerou certainly agreed that death was no laughing matter, but the spider couldn't have just been telling her to make sure Kumotake didn't die. Preventing the death of anyone, Kumotake included, was a given.
As for Kumotake, he was hiding himself behind the mask, trapping his expressions and words underneath the impenetrable white cloth. If he had just asked, Kagerou would have been happy to answer. Of course Kagerou felt the weight of her memories, but she just happened to be better at moving on than others thanks to both natural mental fortitude and a whole childhood's worth of preparation for the inevitable if she chose, as she did, to pursue the same path as her ancestors. She picked the bright-eyed kid for the same reason she "picked" Kumotake that one chance meeting they had in the office, to form the bonds she valued so highly. There was no deeper meaning to it other than, "he was there" and "it seemed convenient to talk to him." She didn't pick the innocent-looking genin as a foil to her inner torment. She didn't have the nihilism that stormed Kumotake's soul. She had never found it impossible to move on with her life after a tragedy, facing forwards as she carried the memories of what she had lost. There were times when it was difficult, of course, especially times like after the Sero crisis or losing Jack and Shadow, times when she pushed herself to recover from the mental trauma as fast as possible. However, even just having the ability to hasten her recovery was probably something like a blessing Kagerou never counted. There they were, the answers, and Kagerou wouldn't have minded telling them to Kumotake, or really any other friend. However, Kumotake had chosen to keep it all to himself and leave without an explanation.
When Kumotake left without really explaining how he planned to help, Kagerou didn't have a single terrible thought. Granted, she was more busy being huffy about Kumotake getting away from practicing medicine, than thinking deeply about what Kumotake's surprise would be. Optimistic as ever, the thought of something pessimistic or negative didn't cross her mind. Her guesses were along the lines of more notes on some subject matter or bringing refreshments.
Kagerou let bygones be bygones, She ended her thoughts on the mystery that was Kumotake with a submissive smile, the kind said exactly what she thought, She… really couldn't even imagine Kumotake doing what he would eventually do.
Turning her attention to the new fellow, who had introduced himself (herself?) as a medic, Kagerou's smile shifted appropriately with her mood. Her face was back to being friendly and welcoming. "Alright then, let's go," she announced as she pulled off a few notices from the mission board. It was a small slip of paper, of which there were more than enough copies, for the never ending request for help at the hospital. Without a thought for personal space, Kagerou reached for her new friend's shoulder, and pushed him forwards with her until they reached the secretary's desk.
After starting with the question, "I know it's encouraged to pick up missions at the trunk, but we can still do the acceptances up here, right?" and receiving confirmation, Kagerou received permission for the generic hospital jobs she had pulled off the board. The processing went swiftly. Unlike most other missions, there wasn't much to say about the hospital jobs. Details would be given by the hospital, which was in a better position to know what needed doing than the kage's office was.
"Aaaaand permission get," Kagerou announced once the requests were processed, handing to her fellow genin his copy of the confirmed request. One more, forgetting personal space, she grabbed the yet unnamed genin by the arm and guided him towards the door, though others might see it as pulling more than guiding. The arm was released once she reached the door, which she held open for the golden eyed to pass through. As he passed by, she'd ask, "Hey, tell me your name, at least?". [4/20 cockroach armor]

Why am I even here? Do I really want to do this? I mean I could just turn around and nobody would know.....except mother and father. As each step Rayne took towards the mizukage's office, he could feel himself shrinking further and further in upon himself. Part of him was excited that he had made it this far. That he had developed enough to prove that he was capable enough to pass the academy. That was, if you didn't consider his complete failure at anything ninjutsu related. Hoping he didn't look like a complete mess, the twenty year old academy student continued his solemn funeral march to the office where he could hear the tell of voices mingling within. As he prepared to knock, he let out a small gasp of fear as his eyes went wide before what had been some of the voices from before left. The person walking briskly past himself. Mustering up all his revolve, Rayne gave his strongest knock which was almost hardly audible even to himself before poking his head into the doorway.
"Hello, everyone." Rayne took a tentative step inside as he gave an equally small bow to each person within the room. "I recently graduated from the acadamy and was instructed to come here so that I would be able to pick up my headband." To his sides he tried to hide how his fingers kept fidgeting with one another in an effort to qualm his nerves. In reality he kind of wanted to get out of here and just hide somewhere. Read a good book as well with a cup of tea, maybe it wasn't too late to become a librarian after all.

Katsurou turned to Kumotake as he declined the hospital visit and promised to be helpful another way before leaving himself. He furrowed his brow as the spider kid left, wondering how a non-medic could be helpful outside of the hospital. Patients could always use cheering up at the very, very least.
He let Kagerou get mission permission and then escort him out. As he was dragged out he waved to the newcomer that bowed respectfully, but Katsurou knew they were in too much of a rush to make good conversation. He blushed when she asked his names, having forgotten his manners. "Ah. They call me Katsurou. Katsurou Yamanaka. I'm one of the few of my clan residing here in Kirigakure, but you probably know that already since there's no others..." He stared at his feet as they continued towards the hospital, but something worried him too much to let go. "Is that other kid alright? He seems... complex." Katsurou treaded carefully on the topic in case the two of them were such good friends that Kagerou would be defensive of him. But there was, without a doubt, something off about Kumotake. Katsurou brushed his hair out of his face to look at Kagerou carefully. "I think what the kage said to him really messed him up... about that one guy... Jack?" He scrunched up his nose as he tried to remember the name, but he was fairly certain.

He was enjoying watching the shinobi before him interact - opening themselves up in even the smallest ways for both their companion and the observing Mizukage to get to know them. When people approached the desk, Inka allowed the secretary to answer for him, content with just... letting things be.
"What was your name?" Krisella called to the new arrival. Inka blinked, gold eyes flecked with red landed, and stayed on Rayne. Out of his peripheral vision, however, Inka saw the trusted secretary already pull a file towards her, a photo matching the man approaching them was attached to the front. She flicked it open and, after a quick glance, handed it over her shoulder to Inka. The Mizukage hummed and Krisella pulled out a form. "We need you to fill this in." She spoke to Rayne, all calm and controlled. Inka continued to read the file.

Making her way inside the Mizukage building passing by in and out anbu, civilians what not. Her cane clicked against the floor echoing the halls before stopping. Emerald eye's locking towards Kagerou and a boy with bright red hair. Miki made a hello gesture to her distance cousin before making her way inside to meet Inka. Once inside she noticed he was already in the process of dealing someone. The girl took a seat at a near by chair and waited resting her cane down beside her. .
[･･･] Inka closed the folder with a well-practiced snap of his fingers. "Finish the paperwork and Krisella here will give ya yer headband." Inka spoke to Rayne. "And I should be back with ya by then, too." He added. The Mizukage handed the folder over to Krisella and turned to Miki Uchiha.

Smiles were given to both the stranger that waited patiently for Kagerou to leave before entering and to the familiar Miki, who Kagerou was glad to see taking everything in stride. It was a pity that Kagerou didn't insist on holding the door open for the nervous boy that entered after her. She missed a good show because of it.
To answer the just introduced Katsurou's question, Kagerou explained, "I… don't know. More importantly, I don't know if I should step in or not… One wrong move and I might just alienate him further…" She sighed, Another sigh, which was quickly followed by a smirk. "Anyways, what was that you just said? About 'that on guy Jack'?" she queried, grabbing ahold of Katsurou's closest ear and pulling on it as she scolded, "I've heard that the late Mizukage never cared for honorifics, but calling him 'that one guy' is a bit much, you know? Don't tell me you already forgot his name? His funeral was only a few days ago." She had such a pleasant smile as she punished Katsurou's ears, a very pleasant and scary smile.
In this manner, the two descended the Sero. However, halfway down, Kagerou would suddenly excuse herself, insisting that she felt like she really should see Kumotake or else she felt like she would regret it. Giving Katsurou whatever he needed to proceed with the hospital mission, she parted with the words, "Go on ahead of me and get started on your hospital missions, Katsurou. I'll catch up to you later." [6/20 cockroach armor]

Miki didn't think Inka would move over to her rather then finish with the other person before her. What did she come here for again? Oh right she needed to test herself. It had been what a month or two being cooped in a hospital. As the man took a seat Miki bowed her head in respect. " Yes Inka I do need a hand in something, I would like your help but its better if we go to the area first before I explan that is if you have the time for me. If not some other time yeah? Miki asked calmly while adjusting her prosthetic leg. Thing was annoying beyond words.

___Krisella nodded to the Kage as he gave her quiet instructions. When she saw that Inka was leaving with the Uchiha, she turned back to helping Rayne with finishing the paperwork required to finally receive his headband.
[･･･] Inka blinked as the phone at Krisella's desk rang, steps slowing in response. He barely breathed a full round before he heard his trusted aide call his name. Inka clicked his tongue and turned his head to regard her.
"Konoha nin at the Father Gate." She explained briefly.
"Ah. Tell them I'm on my way." The Kage turned to Miki. "This should be brief - I'll meet you at the arena, yes? Perhaps you could help them set up for the tournaments if I take too long." He suggested, continuing to walk alongside her to leave Sero. "I'm thinking of participating myself, you see. But the elders are hesitant. There are many reasons why, of course, but I feel I need to be out there - with the village - as much as I can. And I've always enjoyed a good show." He gave his friendliest smirk, still not used to smiling properly for anyone other than his son. With that, Inka gave a small bow of his head and took off properly to leave for the Fatherly Gates.
