Maria looked at Chris and snapped her fingers, "So close..." She mumbled, but walked up to him, "I always knew you dreamed of being a tooth fairy." She said, then patted Ali's head, "He likes wearing dresses."

"Tooth fairy?" Christopher asked, puzzled for a moment. He then chuckled. "Oh, you mean Dr. Sullivan. Well it's job shadowing day, so I asked to observe Dr. Sullivan's work. However, he asked me to help out, so here I am" Christopher said, putting down the arm of the chair for Ali to get in.


"Well, perhaps you should stick around then, just in case she calls for you. I'm sure the dentist office isn't the most fun place for a little kid...or probably anyone, except the dentist of course" Dr. Sullivan said, then chuckled. He then gave Ms. Powers a farewell nod and headed into the procedure office, closing the door behind him for privacy. He then walked over to Chris and Ali. "Ah, I see you've met Dr. Basil. He will be helping me out today" the dentist said.

"Dr.? I'm just a student helping out" Christopher said. He then turned to Maria. "What?!!" he replied.


"Ohhh! I had something going there. You ruined it!" Dr. Sullivan complained. He shook his head and chuckled at Maria. "Silly girl" he said about her.

Ali took off the small backpack she wore with her Alligator friend poking his head out of the zippered compartment. His cloth grin was cheerful as always and managed to stay visible as she plopped him down on the nearest counter surface that wasn't full of a tool tray.
She patted him on the head once before clambering up onto the chair.
"Okay!" She said saying she was ready.

|| I'll sneak one more post x3 And I was really tempted to have Maria say: "I know what you did last summer." x3 and is Maria still in the room? I know the door closed... But let's just say she is :3 ||

Maria smiled a bit, trying to restrain a giggle. She wanted to watch Dr. Sullivan instead of... receptionist stuff. She bet it would be a lot more fun, but she knew she'd have to stay quiet, unless they kicked her out, so no one messed up. But Maria bent down to be at eye level with the little girl, "Look~ He's upset that I let out his little secret," she looked at Dr. S, "Oh, and do you mind if I watch?" She asked, standing up. She figured if she acted mature she was more likely to be allowed to stay.

"Well I suppose you won't have much to do until the first patient is finished, so if Ali says you can stay, you can go ahead. However, you'll have to go sit in that chair in the corner and stay quiet" Dr. Sullivan said as he took out Ali's X-rays and put them up on the X-ray light. He then put Ali's seat back. "Wheee. Here we go" he said to Ali.


Christopher pulled his mask back up over his face.

Maria looked at Ali, "Well, if its okay with you." She said, then she walked to the corner of the room and took a seat, "If not, just tell me." She called back with a smile. She watched Chris put his mask on and hoped he didn't take it too to heart. She knew he probably didn't, so she gave him a smile and did the 'lips sealed' motion to let him know that she would take extra care not to talk.

Christopher rolled his eyes and sighed. He looked at Maria and said "just don't forget that I'm still your tutor for your math and sciences. Don't make me increase your tutorial homework".

Maria eyed him carefully and decided to say, "Don't make me pass out and go into a coma again." since Dr. S hadn't started quite yet. She was going to stay quiet for the rest of the time, she told herself.

"I still don't understand how a cotton swab can make you faint, for almost three months no less" Christopher said as he took a pair of medical gloves and began putting them on.


"Now now, children. I don't want to be putting anyone on time out" Dr. Sullivan said while pulling up his own medical mask. He looked down at Ali. "You ready?" he asked her. He then fetched the dental bib.

Maria pouted, she knew she could say no more, even thought she really wanted to retaliate. So she just sat quietly in her seat and watched the movements they went through.

Ali raised her arms as the chair went back, straight out like people did on roller coasters in movies. Dr. Sullivan was fun. But she liked Halloween guy and Maria better. They were funny.
She looked back to Dr. Sullivan as he got ready to start and hung up her teeth pictures. "Unhunh" she said answering him and folding her hands together across her tummy.

[ Sorry guys, I'm having trouble getting on recently...work and stress and whatnot. ]

Martel watched his screen intently and wrote notes quickly as the machine transmitted the waves and the balls quivered, knocking lightly into each other. "See if you can control it." It was a rare sight, someone able to somewhat control the conversion of their powers.

Dr. Sullivan put the dental bib on Ali, pulled a pair of medical examination gloves on, and fixed the inspection light over Ali's mouth. "Alright. Open nice and wide" he said to Ali as he positioned the tool tray. He took the rinse and suction, passed it along the top of the chair and over to Christopher to hold on to. "I'll tell you when to rinse and suction" he said to Chris. The dentist then picked up his dental tools and looked down at Ali. "Ready?" he asked.


Christopher took the rinse and suction and then looked down at Ali as well.

"Okay" Avery quirked her eyebrows and set her mouth. It was a lot harder than she'd thought it would be. But maybe if she stopped thinking about moving the balls, and just focused on them like parts of the body it would work better.

Martel was impressed, considering he hadn't told Avery any of the data they had collected on the study of how manipulaters used their powers. Though to be honest it was surprisingly similar to healing. Strangely so, in fact.
