Random Tidbit I made that needs confirmation from Dragain was confirmed by Dragain. 8V I was a little bored one day, trying to figure out the timeline of Cabriole's capture/time in the Flock, and made a Flock Timeline of sorts. I didn't add any of the personal RP type RPs to it, so you're free to edit on in where your soq was captured/rps in the timeline Also! For those mares who have stallions that are supposed to be escaping during the Gryphon attack but are supposed to be siring a child, you CAN keep trying after they've escaped, you just gotta have their pregnancy 'backdated', and thus RP with them at some stage of preggers at the point of the great escape (either not showing/aware yet, or just starting to show.). o3o You'd just have to mark rp's that the breeding hasnt happened yet, possibly even linking to the breeding agreement AND the Clash of Beak and Talon RP Just remember though! Soquili gestation in Character Time is 7 months, so for example: Shikoba and Garuda's breeding succeeded, and Shikoba gives birth the day of the Gryphon attack, meaning they conceived near midwinter. So the stallion had to have been captured sometime between the arrival at the new territory and mid winter.

You see these shackles, baby, I'm your slave. Name: LadyNekoya Soquili's name & cert: AlsandreReason for joining: Father is absent in his life, it is possible that his mother for some reason had left him behind at some point in life for whatever reason. Possibly adopted into the flock by a harpy willing to play a mother role. How did he end up being captured?: Found alone by a harpy either as a foal who's basket popped while he was all alone or as a basket. He could have either been convinced to come with the flock for shelter and family or could have been forced to come with the harpy to the flock. Will you be escaping later? If yes, how?: No, I figure he'd stay with them, especially if he did start to think of him as his family. AIM?: LadyNekoya Do you acknowledge that you understand the Flock's practices?: Yes, I do ^^

Aviania: Only if he's taught to respect females and the ways of the Flock, Glain darling. *glares at the foal, eying him* Education starts early. One wrong step and you'll regret setting foot in this part of the forest, young one...
^ Dislikes adopting males into the Flock since they do not contribute to anything and will never be allowed to be anything but a slave. But if Glain wants to play mother, she'll allow it... Show any sign of being anything but a submissive, obedient male and he's out/dead - child or not.
So please make sure you understand this before I approve of anything! I don't want to have to ICly kick anyone out.

A point in favor of the little colt. He's already part harpy, and will there for help pass along Harpy gens to make a stronger next generation.

So . . . . I currently own a very young harpy, Azshara. She has always been a little different, and is definitely more 'new age' with her beliefs. She's kind of a hippie, where she prefers peace over violence. And while she doesn't see anything wrong with capturing slaves, those beliefs are starting to change. She's become curious about the slaves, their stories, and after some run ins with outsiders she's begun to question where she stands.
Ultimately, she will either be driven out of the flock, or leave on her own. But I don't want this to happen quite yet . . . She's kind of a black sheep, so to speak. She's friendly and loves her sisters, don't get me wrong, but she has never condoned violence in any shape.
. . . I think someone must have dropped her on her head as a kid. xD She's also terribly naive, at least about the outside world.
Anyway, I'd like for her to meet others in the Flock . . be it harpies or slaves. She's mostly a forager, and loves shinies. I think it would be nice if she could make a solid friend or two. Those with rank or who are particularly violent/aggressive do intimidate her.
I'd also like for her to meet others who are more traditional. Especially as she continues to depart from the views of the older members, and the more experiences she meets outside of the Flock. Like I said, right now she's still naive and still learning. . . but in the end she will not be staying.
Any takers? o.o

mindsend Sooooooo excited... Bwahahaha!! Loooove it! Congrats to both the Commanders on their upcoming baskets. xd @ Uta - Luinil would be more than happy to meet Azshara. Though she is an excellent huntress for the flock, she's not otherwise aggressive or violent. She's one of the older flock members and is loyal to the queen, but is becoming more open to other interpretations of an amazon lifestyle due to seeing many of her beloved sisters taking more 'permanent' mates. Re: the harpy colt, as Bee said, he IS part harpy and could thus pass down more harpy genes. Wouldn't any males born to our regular harpy sisters be allowed to live to increase the pool of quality breeding stock? Just wondering since we now have some expectant harpies. xd

IMPORTANT
I think this info is on the front page, but maybe I forgot to put it in... To clear doubts, all foals born within the Flock, male or female, will be raised by the nannies and their mothers; fathers are not allowed to interact with their children in order to not "taint" the ideals that had been taught to them. Newborns will be raised together until a certain age (still foalhood), and then males and females will be separated; this is sort of like 'training' and by the time they are through, they should be tweens. Females will be taught how to fight/defend themselves, hunt, build a nest, how to select a good mate, etc. Males will be taught how to be subservient, to be a good "mate" by obeying and respecting your mistress; the males who show total subservient nature might be taught how to fight, in order to defend their mistress in the future should the need come.
Both male and female offspring will be taught to respect and follow Flock beliefs. There is no reason why a child will think differently if they were brought up with a certain mindset because the only teachers they have are the nannies and their own mother. However, if you want your foal to grow up and then take a lifemate (a taboo), that change in mindset from "old school Harpy" to "new world Harpy" will have to take place when they're older and allowed to venture out of the Flock's territory.
Note that colts will not be killed - as written above, they will be taught to be good mates to their mistress(es).
New: While females are openly accepted into the Flock, young or old, males are not. Stallions are captured or, if they come willingly, are watched closely to make sure they behave. After reading your comments and realizing that it might be good to have more Harpy-males breeding stock, ICly, this is what will happen...
Colts might be taken in as future breeding stock, but because they had been exposed to the "outside world", depending on their age, a nanny will be asked to adopt the colt and watch/condition him. After a month or two, the nanny will report to the Queen or if she's away, one of the two Commanders, on the conditioning status. If it goes well, the colt will be allowed to stay and receive full Harpy education. If the colt is resistant, he will be knocked out and brought to a place far away from the Flock so that he can never find his way back.
I hope this new update will give people more plot ideas as well! owo
