"Yep!" Ali said swinging her feet up off the chair in an emphatic move. She wondered if she got a prize. She hoped so. She practiced chewing with her newly cleaned teeth just to see as she headed for the doorway.

"Oh yeah!" Ali said, as if remembering the whole set of tooth cleaning fun she;d gotten the last time she'd been. She remembered her Alligator on the table and scooped him up bag and all as she went to stand at Dr, Sullivan's side to observe her color options.
After a moment of thought she looked up at him and asked "How come they don't have one with teeth on it?" after all, that's what tooth brushes were for.


(OKAY news, I just finished my last EVER project for school. It's almost 230 am and I don't even care.
Though that could be the can and a half of coke and the sleep dep I have leftover from the fact I pulled an all nighter yesterday.,,,,BUT! yeah!
o.0 it's weird. o.0 I feel like an adult.
It's freeing, but at the same time kinda scary. Like I almost want to be put back with homework and grunt work because I'm familiar with it. ......or I'm just nuts! biggrin

"Well, that's a very good question. I'll have to look and see if I can order that type at a later date. Interesting idea. However for right now, you'll have to pick a colour that we have here" Dr. Sullivan said.

"Okay!" Ali said and got to looking. Realizing this would be something of a hard choice. So tucking her gator underneath her chin she spun around in a circle a pointed randomly into the cupboard.

Dr. Sullivan pulled out a red toothbrush. "Alright, here you go" he said. He had a few small sized ones just for her, but none with any fancy designs on them. He hadn't thought about it. The dentist handed the toothbrush to Ali and patted her on the head with a medical gloved hand. "Make sure you use that well" he said, "and say goodbye to my assistant before you leave".

"I will !, thank you!" Ali took the toothbrush package and managed to hold onto it with her bagged gator. She looked over to Chris and thought for a moment before walking over and holding up her Aligator. "BYE BYE" she said in a graspy voice and wiggled the gator slightly.

Christopher smiled under his medical mask and patted the gator like Dr. Sullivan had patted Ali. He then looked down at Ali and held out a medical gloved hand for her to shake. "Thanks for visiting. Make sure to brush well" he said.

Ali peered over her small nose at Christopher's gloved hands and stuck her gator and toothbrush together in one so she could reach out to grasp his fingers. Which was all she could manage with her small hand. "M'kay" she said looking up shyly. It was technically her first grown up handshake.

Dr. Sullivan asked Maria to escort Ali out to the waiting room and then had Christopher help him get the tools ready to be taken to be sterilized.


"Well that was interesting. I wasn't expecting so much hands on experience" Christopher commented while he took apart the suction and placed it on the tray.


"I figure if you know what you are doing, then you might as well get some hands on experience. It's the best way to learn" the dentist replied and took off his medical gloves.
