Haruhi; My primary use for him is automatic transformation, which will yield a long sword of great power, otherwise if you wait to use him, he becomes a dagger which restores chakra and health.

Haruhi; A long sword isn't actually as heavy as most think. When people hear long sword, they tend to think like zweihanders and claymores, however a longsword is also called a "hand and a half" sword. It can used with one or two hands, generally leading to less reach than that of a claymore. -Loves western weapons-

And I read over the monkey list. Sure some attacks sound cool but there's other attacks in other summonings that sound cool too.
Do summonings really flow with specific shinobi classes?

'Ruhi; A lot of the summons seem to favor one class or another. It really depends on how you want the summons to function with you. If you want one right there next to you, then the monkey or the bears would likely be good.
If you want support though, then the birds might be a better choice.
You really gotta think about this stuff.

Haruhi000777 Mana: Isn't a long sword heavy? Long swords tend to have a heavier hilt because they have to be able to support the length of the blade. But the blade itself can be pretty light. Broad swords and claymores and halberds are usually the heavier swords.

Mana: I've looked a bit more at the summons and for bukijutsu or weapons attacks... monkeys aren't unique.
The Digi-whatsis name guy you can summon from canines can decode himself into any item and become impervious to attacks. Why not a super strong sword then?
Kuminji from the bears has a sword of his own and good attacks as well, so does Aioko that comes after him, he has a sword based attack.
Plus a couple bird attacks could be useful to Suzume and they can cover her by using ninjutsu that she could not learn.
