 Fanatical invaders with an obsession for organic, bio-engineered weapons? That has Pirata and her daughter Syphax written all over it, while the spider mares don't follow the Vong's obsession with a higher power they do believe in culling the weak and using their poisonous spiders to do so. Vicious, cruel and possessing little to no mercy, Pirata and Syphax follow in the Vong's footsteps of crushing their enemies or enslaving them.

 Syphax is being groomed by her mother, unlike Agave who was brought up not to think for himself, Pirata has chosen to take a different track with her daughter. Cold, calculating and shrewd the daughter of Pirata does not come off quite as strange as her mother..but she is certainly just as cold and cruel.
Syphax is out to prove herself capable of taking over her mothers empire someday and so spends a great deal of time going over and above her duties in an attempt to please her dam. If anything this makes Syphax even more dangerous then her mother..as she is far less predictable and a good deal less experienced..making her prone to acting before considering all of the consequences. Syphax was a secret. Pirata hid her pregnancy and her basket from the other members of her herd until the filly emerged. As a surprise daughter Syphax has had to deal with a great deal of both curious and hostile stares and has developed a rather thick skin because of it.
Thus far she is enjoying life as much as one can in the environment she calls home. Growing up alongside the adopted usdia colt Cassava.

 Her Spiders
Syphax is unlikely to ever accept another creature at her side, her spiders although not as intelligent as a familiar would be are more then enough to make this mare happy. The spiders don't have names but she does talk to them and they reply in a spiderish sort of way. Want to make Syphax mad? Say something about her pets...I dare you.
