Rose smiled. "Thank you miss" she said with a dainty curtsy. The woman was nice and very lovely. As she climbed into the boat she thought that all good mothers are probably as kind as Elanor. Her mother was nothing like that. She was beautiful yes, but not too nice. The boat wobbled as she climbed in and she tensed up slightly. Soon it settled and her smile slowly crept back onto her lips. Her insides were a little twisted from nervousness. She wondered what her brother would think of her if she were to get into any house other than Slytherin. She knew what her parents would think. The thought made her shiver.

Sparrow Farrell----First Year----
Sparrow followed the tall aldy who was easily visible with all the first years. She didn't want to get lost. She was fascinated by the boats. She had only been on a muggle boat once because her brother was in the field of muggles and he sometimes took her on muggle adventures, but that hadn't happened in a while. Sparrow quickly walked forward "So we just sit in it. It won't tip over will it?" she asked concerned. They were much smaller than the boat she had been in.

  After they arrived at the shore of the lake, Jadyn glanced out across the glossy black surface. He noticed the boats that were gently bobbing in the water, and he became excited. He didn't even care about the cool night air that cut through his robes. He walked up to the woman who was leading the group, making sure to put on a smile. "Hello, I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. I was a tad late getting off the train." He grinned sheepishly. "I'm Jadyn Kinzer."

Archades blinked and turned to look at the girl who had just asked if the boat would capsize if they got in. He waved his hand at her gently, trying to get her to come to the boat he was in.
"There's a chance it'll tip over if you get in one alone because there's no one to counter your weight, so it's safer to get in one with someone in it to balance out." Though it they probably have spells on the boats to keep them from tipping over and spilling us out... I wonder how those work?

Sparrow nodded at the boy who had answered her and said, "Alright, Thanks." Judging by his hand motion he was welcoming her to join him, and Sparrow walked over. She peered at the boat at a closer look and it seemed safe enough. She then looked at the boy wondering if she should get in and waited for him to make a movement until she started. She realized she didn't know his name and he didn't know his she said, "I'm Sparrow by the way."

 Vivien Kensington -- First YearVivien arrived at the lake shore and her knees nearly went weak. Stay calm. Stay calm. Stay calm. She coaxed herself as she listened intently to what the nice woman was saying. No. No, stay strong. Vivien nodded to herself reassuringly as she smiled, it was fake, of course but nobody else knew that, and she climbed ungracefully into one of the boats. Praying to every diety ever created that it wouldn't tip. Because if there was one thing that Vivien couldn't do, it was swim. She had yet to talk to anyone here, maybe that would change once they were placed into houses. After all, she did have a problem with initiating conversation with people that she didn't know... Not that Vivien could ever admit to that.

"Come on in. I am Archades." He smiled up at her briefly before standing up. "Here, I'll be the counterbalance. You can climb in without worrying about it tipping and spilling." Archades moved back in the boat slightly which swayed a bit with his movement, then steadied as he looked at her. This girl looked like she wouldn't enjoy a swim too much, so he hoped that his judgment of where to stand to balance the boat was accurate, and if it wasn't, that his guess that they had charms to prevent capsizing in place. And even if they didn't, he would do his best to make sure she got back to shore safely in case they did tip over.

Blake turned to look around on who had joined the boat. If it wasn't for his blond hair, it would have appeared as if he wasn't there at all, the rest of his body blending into darkness. He watched as Archades and Sparrow made their way into the boat. "It's alright. The boat sways but I don't think there's a possibility of it tipping over." He stated out, hoping he didn't startle either of them. What he said was out of slight experience as he hastily went into the boat before they had. The boat moved side to side but once he made his seat to the front, it steadied once more.

Austin looked out over the large lake. It's black surface only broken by several small boats, spread along the shore. Austin stepped into a otherwise empty boat and sat in the front lifting the lantern.

Sparrow nodded and said, "Alright." She slowly grabbed the edge of the boat gently to not put much weight on it and stepped in. The boat wobbled a little, but it evened out as Sparrow sat down quickly. She then look at Archades and said, "Thanks, its all good!" She had been afraid of tipping into the dark water, not because she couldn't swim, but because it looked eerie. She then said, "Want me to sit in the front with the lantern?" She had remembered hearing that the person in front was supposed to.

Archades chuckled at Sparrow lightly.
"That is perfectly fine if you want to. I've not been afraid of the dark for a long while." He looked at the other boats around them, spotting a boy leaning over from one of the near-by ones and apparently talking to them. He hadn't caught what the boy said so simply nodded at him before looking at the others. There was a boy sitting alone in one, and then a girl who looked nervous sitting in another. He frowned slightly - that wouldn't do, but he couldn't exactly call her over to the one he was in now could he? He sighed to himself and sat down.
"So Miss Sparrow, what House do you hope to be sorted into?"

Rose looked out across at the other boats. They were filling up quickly and it seemed everyone found a friend. Or those who weren't talking with someone were either very shy or just didn't want to be bothered. But here she was, alone in the ground keeper's boat. It seemed as though people were avoiding her despite her tries to communicate. She pushed back small tears that formed in her eyes and looked out at the dark water. She hoped that everyone would be in their boat so they could leave already.

  Nicole glanced fearfully at the lake. She was debating about talking to the game keeper about her fear of water when she heard someone else get ahead of her. The girl walked to the game keeper's boat noticeably uncomfortable about having to be in a boat. She looked up at the other girl. "what's wrong?"she asked her voice was quivering slightly because o her fear of water and boats.

Rose jumped. She hadn't expected anyone to speak to her. "ah oh..nothing" she said forcing a smile. "I was just a little lonely was all...no one seemed to want to talk with me" she said her voice trailing off a little. Her smile remained on her face but the eyes only spoke of sadness. "but I'm not alone now am I?" she questioned,"Im Roselia Prince, but you can call me rose, and you are?" she asked trying to change the topic.She hated feeling lonely. Everytime her brother went to school the feeling would creep up. So any chance to change a direction away from that she'd take

Nicole smiled back at the girl.She couldn't help but notice the sadness in the girls eyes and was curious but she knew it wasn't her place to pry. "It's nice to meet you rose. I'm Nicole Johnson. "she said a smile still one her face. As she looked at the other girl, The red head thought that she was the one that she had noticed speaking with her brother earlier on the train station.
