Elsie was stunned she had managed to steal from a sixth year chaser. With a look of shock, she quickly passed to Ada. She didn't trust herself to be able to keep the quaffle safe right now.

Jess was delighted. She'd spotted the snitch, and the older, more experienced seeker was still looking! Caught up in her excitement for a moment, she didn't hear the bludger whizzing towards her until it was too late. It slammed into her back, knocking her forward on her broom. She couldn't breathe for a moment, gasping, and nearly fell off her broom. Only her quick reflexes kept her from slipping off it as she held back tears of pain. This was her first time getting hit by a bludger and it hurt. She wiped at her eyes with the back of her hand quickly, relieved she hadn't started bawling, and was comforted by the thought that she still had the Snitch in her sights, having focused on it and it alone to overcome the pain. She might have broken a rib or two, but she was still flying.

Elsie smiled back as Ada caught her pass and continued towards the Gryffindor goals. She followed the older girl, flying parallel to her in case she needed to pass the quaffle back. Elli shot after them to try and steal it back, but didn't succeed. Maybe Hufflepuff would score first!

spaceAdalaide smiled as she easily evaded Elli's steal. She lowered herself to the broom, almost to the goal when she was hit by a bludger. The iron ball slammed into her ribs hard, and she was pretty sure she heard a crack... but she was almost there! She ground her teeth at the pain, her hand gripping the broom handle tighter as she closed the distance between her and the goal. She threw the ball towards the goal, hoping that the previous years experiences would hold true and her playing would improve with the injury.

Jess was chasing after the snitch when she got hit with another bludger, this time in the stomach in the front, rather then the back. The breath was knocked out of her again, and she cringed in pain, visibly trembling as she flew on. Oh, she was definitely making up for lost time here. The Gryffindor beater was targeting her, like any decent beater, and he didn't care that she was a little girl. That was how Quidditch worked, and it was finally sinking in. No one was going to hold back on her.

Crash couldn't help but wonder where the Hufflepuff team could have been, the game started missing crucial members. But it started, nevertheless. He hovered at his goal posts and waited until the chasers honed in on their side of the pitch. Finally, ADA broke through and he moved to block.
