One moment there had certainly been a fish on the end of Z'ri's line, and the next he'd actually managed to break his fishing pole.

You bring back a whole bunch of greens and some edible seaweed scavanged from the shore and nearby lagoons. The greens will add both nutrients and flavor, and can always be dried.
Wandering the beaches, you are able to bring back some shellfish, mussels, cockels, and clams. Some might be served raw, while others will be boiled and turned into various chowders and other dishes. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
While hunting the beach, you you find a newly hatched baby firelizard! The hungry being demands tribute, and you have no choice but to give in! Thankfully, you have a few snacks stashed to ensure this little flit doesn't go hungry. Well, this is an unexpected surprise... Roll a D20 to see what color, and Quote Uta! (You can only win this once per character. If you roll it on a character who has already Impressed, they simply find shells from an already hatched clutch instead.) 1-9. Green 10-14. Blue 15-17. Kallian was more than a little pleased when his hunting efforts netted the Weyr not only a tidy collection of various sea life, but also a sea wherry! Something besides fish would be lovely.

Running Character Total: 99 pts Character: Astriana and Blue Moratath
Astriana decided that since last seven day seemed to go well with fishing, maybe she would have just as much luck with the net this time. So with net in hand, she and Moratath went to the ocean. She cast the net into the water and got ready for anything. Eventually there was tugging on the net and with Moratath's help, she pulled the net out of the water and onto shore. It seemed to be brimming with silverfish, that was wonderful!
Seems the sea is being more giving or you are just not taking any flack from it,Moratath's icy tone spoke, but his rider could feel the love.
Well, as long as we have food for the Weyr, that is what matters. Let's get this to the kitchens, for the staff to deal with,she thought back.

Sablie was out at the sea during her down time from candidate chores, a net ready. She put it into the water and hoped very much she would have some good luck. She waited awhile, before noticing some tugging on the net, so began to pull it in. It wasn't brimming, but it was a decent amount of fish, from the look of it.
"Yellowstripe and Whitefish, I think the kitchen will be able to do plenty with these,"she smiled brightly. She then began to trudge back to the kitchens with her catch, trying not to trip.

O'len and Brown Aleyath
"C'mon, let's head to shore." They were almost on shore already, but Aleyath didn't argue. O'len needed a break, and while His had a seat and a snack, the brown searched the beach. He had been sneaking around for nearly a candlemark when he spotted a small group of sea wherries scuttling about behind the cover of some rocks. For a moment, he debated having a snack of his own, but in the end Aleyath crashed their little party, bringing a very dead and slightly bloodied bird back to his rider.
