Severus jerked awake, glancing at his watch. Shite. Almost time for class! He gathered up his things needed for Astronomy. He always liked to be a little early, but his nap had turned "being early" into "being almost late." He stuffed his things into his bag and threw it over his shoulder, rushing out of the common room and towards the Astronomy tower.

He reached the door of the classroom with a few minutes to spare. He took a moment to catch his breath, then stepped inside the classroom and took a seat.

Narcissa was going to go eat before Astronomy, but she was feeling fat. So, instead of eating, she went back to her room and actually decided to get a head start on her homework. She never did that, which made her worry about her mental health. Regardless, she worked diligently. She was actually working so hard that she almost forgot that she had another class. Luckily, she had taken a break to give her hand a rest and noticed the time. She grabbed her things and walked up to the Astronomy tower, making it to class with plenty of time. She grabbed a seat, took her things out of her bag and waited.

It was then that she decided to blame her sudden outburst of getting ahead in her classes on Lucius' absence.

Venatici dropped his things off in his room before going back down to the Great Hall to eat. He piled food on his plate, but he still managed to keep his food from mixing. He ate quite fast, and went to library to look at more books, trying to find more information that would be useful in his notes on Nargles and whatnot. He had found three books when he realized that if he didn't leave soon, he would be late for his next class. He checked the books out of the library, dropped them off in his room in exchange for his Astronomy things and headed up to the Astronomy tower. He grabbed a seat near the front of the class, got everything ready, and waited for the Professor to arrive.

Bella finnished her meal at an average pace, quickly washing up in a washroom along the way to the Astronomy tower before arriving to class before Aurora. The poor woman must have forgotten class again today, she always seemed a couple bats short of a batcave. She shook her head with a sigh, at least Dumbledore seemed to think she made a good teacher, though most children took the opportunity of this class to take a nap; Bella had always found astronomy fascinating. It almost made her wish they'd had a more put together teacher these last couple of years. Seeing her sister had already taken her seat, Bella sat down next to Narcissa and pulled her notebooks out of her bag.

Rita sighed as she walked into astronomy. Today had been rather uneventful and boring. She had gotten some decende info during DADA that morning, but not enough to write anything. She took a seat in the back, and noticed bellatrix was in the room. "Ah, she still has the quill but it isnt on her, bummer," she thought. She pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill then left them to their own devices while she pulled out a book on constellations to puruse.

Aurora skidded to a stop as she reached the door to her class. Taking a deep breath, she walked in, hoping she wasn't as late as she thought. A few students had beaten her there, as usual, but otherwise it looked like she had made good time.

"Welcome to the first day of Astronomy my dears! We are in for a treat this year!" Aurora exclaimed, clasping her hands together. "Now, today we will be reading about the origins of stars and the general components that make them up. If you would turn to page . . page . . ." Aurora stumbled over her sentance, upset at herself for forgetting something as simple as a page number.

"27?" a voice pipped up from the back.

"Yes! That's it! Page 27. There you will find a detailed explanation on stars and at the end of the chapter you should be able to access the demonstration on star birth. If you have any questions concerning the information, I will be at my desk." Aurora gratefully sank into her chair, hands finding her way into her pockets. "What have we here?" She pulled out a rubix cube and smiled with delight. Her next moments were spent trying to get the blue squared aligned.

Gideon wasn't feeling all that hungry. He had been in the library for a while after DADA, and had found many helpful books (as well as a particularly disturbing on carnivorous creatures he had found in the Restriced Section). He had made his way to the dormitory, picking up his books and telescope (just in case). He also put on a scarf - Hogwarts nights were cold.
He arrived five minutes before class started, and took a seat with some fellow Ravenclaws in the back. They chatted a bit about their summers, before professor Aurora came in, looking a little nervous. Poor woman, thought Gideon. He had had her last year, and she was very proficient, but she had lots on her mind.
"Welcome to the first day of Astronomy my dears! We are in for a treat this year!" began Aurora. Gideon gre immediately excited. Astronomy was a fascinating subject. "Now, today we will be reading about the origins of stars and the general components that make them up. If you would turn to page . . page . . ."
Gideon flipped open his book and scanned the index on the makeup of stars. "Er...27?" he said, looking up.
"Yes! That's it! Page 27. There you will find a detailed explanation on stars and at the end of the chapter you should be able to access the demonstration on star birth..."
Gideon began reading, marvelling at the moving picture depicting the birth and death of a star.

Gilderoy woke from his nap feeling reviatilized. That afternoon, Dempsy has worked out the details for the makeovers with him. Everything was set and in place, all he needed now was a girl. Or boy if he so desired. He dressed for this evenings astronomy lesson and headed to the common room to look for Dempsy. Remembering the errand Dempsy had to run eariler, Gilderoy headed toward the library expecting to find him there. Instead, he found a gaggle of gossiping gryffindor girls that had somehow known he would be there. Each proclaimed a great need for the makeovers he would be conducting and prasing his talents. He smiled at each girl, before responding to their pleas.

"Now now ladies, none of you ravishing beauties are in need of such a makeover." A chorus of giggles and sighs inturrpted Gilderoy briefly. He raked his fingers through his hair before continuing. "But if you know someone who is, all they need to is apply when the makeover sessions are up and running.Then I will conduct a private interview with the applicants to determine who would be the recipiant this week. Also, even if they weren't chosen the first time, there will always be the next week, until the end of time as long as my skills were needed. I bid you gorgeous ladies adieu. May you always be the radiant flowers that stand here before me."

Gilderoy graciously bowed to the girls, then headed for the Astonomy tower, hoping to find Dempsy there and tell him of the preliminary success of the makeover idea.He entered the classroom, suprised to see Professor Sinistra already there adn even more supriised to find Dempsy not there.Gilderoy pouted for a second before chosing an empty seat, and laying his head down. He just didnt know what to do with himself during classes without a Fanclub president there, in this case Dempsy.

Severus dutifully turned his book to the desired page and began to read. He felt a little guilty that this had been the only class he hadn't read ahead for that day. But as it seemed the class period would be spent reading this information about star birth.

He very quickly got engrossed in the material. It amazed him that the secrets of the vast cosmos could be found and revealed to them. The bit about the birth of stars was especially interesting, he found. Even though he had learnt this information through other textbooks, to read about it in detail was fasinating. He jotted down several notes that he thought might come in handy in later lessons as he continued to read the material.

The part of him that enjoyed the closeness to Sirius and the subtle secretive touchings did not want to get up and go eat, but then the other part of him that was starving was halfway out the door. His stomach was definitely grumbling and Remus only hoped that no one could hear it -- it'd be pretty embarrassing. Stuffing his stuff away, Remus made quick to the door, hoping that Peter would speed up since he was so hungry.

"I hope they have my favorites," Remus said somewhat longingly, his mouth watering slightly as he walked closely next to Sirius. It was almost as if he could feel the warmth of Sirius' body on his skin, which made his mind go hazy.

Finally arriving at the Great Hall, Remus plopped down on the bench in front of a casual lunch spread. Quickly, he dropped his things and started grabbing one of everything in sight.

'Reading? How boring.' Narcissa thought. She glanced at her sister who had taken the seat next to her and wondered if Severus had spoken with her yet. She thought about talking with her herself, but then changed her mind. She flipped open her book to the right page and began reading. Though she would never admit it, she found this subject to be interesting. Only slightly, though.

Venatici had been flipping to random pages in his Astronomy book when the Professor arrived. He felt bad for her because she always seem so out of it. He was slightly amused when she forgot the page number, and was going to help her out, but someone beat him to it. Once she had given the assignment, Venatici began reading and taking notes.

Rita paused for a moment to hear the assisnment for the day, but saw no read to re-read information she already knew. Instead she pulled out that days Daily Prophet and took notes on the techniques the journalists used to convey their subjects.

Bella sighed and pulled out her book, turning to the appropriate page. It didn't take her very long to read the section, she'd always been a fast reader. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she glanced around the classroom, seeing how everyone else was doing. Finnishing the reading assignment, she flipped to the back of the section, trying to figure out her birth sign. She shook her head, just not getting how she was supposed to triangulate the answer. Bella chewed lightly on the tip of her pen while she stared at the page.

Once Narcissa had finished the reading assignment, she stared blankly at the book. After a few mintues of that, she glanced at her sister and noticed the Bella was done reading the assignment and was currently reading... Something. Narcissa looked at it curiously before grabbing a piece of paper, her quill and scribbling a note to her sister that read "What on Earth are you reading about?"
