Avery looked over and smiled as Jordan pondered the maze. "A little from column A, a little from column B" Avery said. "A dash of the unusual always throws off sensories a little bit. Even if it doesn't seem like it. Or didn't you notice Shige was knocked over by Whit?" Though she'd have to ask Whit what that was about, pushing Shige over for a button was just plain rude.

"Could have been Whit's powers or Shige was desensitized by all the decoys we made using Whit's touch. We'll have to figure it out when we see what Whit can do in his dome time."

She turned back to the monitor as Shige got his stride back and stated vaulting over the hallway obstructions and passed right through the waterfall of the maze, into the open. That re-design had been fairly silent as far as the maze went, but Shige had figured it out easily. She was proud of the bugger she had to admit.

Whit blinked suddenly as the regular lights started coming back on above the maze.
Shige must have made it out.
Which was pretty fast he had to admit. Considering how long finding the button had taken. He looked around and wondered if he should try and find the way out too.

Alex was shown the passes held by Spencer and Christopher and approved. He then turned to Jordan. "What about you? Do you have a pass? Otherwise, what is your excuse to be here and can somebody vouch for you?" Alex questioned with a glare at Jordan.

"It's on my schedule," Jordan said. It was too bad the mad powers at this school came along with mad bothersome people checking up on them. Or whatever. "Speaking of which...Hey Avery, would you, ah, like to try your hand at the flight maze?" She knew what she might be getting into, but couldn't help getting a bit excited.

Avery looked sideways at Jordan as she considered. She'd never done a flight course before. She didn't even know if her card would give her access. But surely Doc Martel would adapt it if she called and asked. "I could try~" she said pondering.

She hit the button that let the maze drop away into the floor and left Shige and Whit down in the recessed area.

Whit looked around as the maze seemed to merge with the floor. He soon found Shige and walked over to the boy. Swinging his arm around his shoulders as he always did.

"Okay, some on!" Jordan pulled a bit on Avery's wrist before dropping it to hurry on, happy to leave Alex behind. She shot Chris and Spencer a look to either follow or go talk to Shige and Whit.

"It's right...here..." Jordan let out a breath. It was pretty cool to look at. Rather than the sensory maze, which was sunken into the floor with one-way glass on top, the flight maze was a massive cube that went up stories and was made entirely of some plastic see-through material. And of course all of the gizmos and whoosie-whats-its all over the place.

"Okieee" Avery said eying the intimidating clear staircase that lead up to the podium for the flight kids.
She started upwards and pulled her card out of her pocket. Tugging on it to give her pull cord some slack.

She got to the small platform. Room enough for herself the monitors and one or two others. It was all encased in a clear plexiglass box for protection and an unobstructed 360 degree view.

Whit walked with Shige through the still teeming mass of students. All of whom congratulated the boy and were eagerly awaiting his score on the boards. It was taking the computer a long time, well...not that Whit would know.

He saw Avery and Jordan heading for another corner and wondered where they were going. Though Shige seemed to know.

[ you remember that crappy one when I jumped the gun? Yeah, go ahead with that. And, like, find it or something? It wasn't that long ago... ]

Jordan stepped into the entrance circle. "Get used to the controls," she called out to Avery. "Tell me when you're ready!"

(But that was lame! T.T He can score better than that! He didn't touch anything on his way out! And he was fast considering he had to leave through a waterfall. ...lol ah well in the literal words of this dude I was taking care of today -"meh")

Avery flicked her hair over her shoulder and swiped her card. It thought for a moment or two , and she worried that maybe she wasn't approved for designing flight mazes. But then the screen cleared and she was good to go. Though she quickly realized flight mazes were way different. Since not a lot of things could fly, she had to deal with constantly falling objects and suspended things.

Though she already had an idea.

She checked a few things and got to work. She would have to be much more involved in the execution of this trial, more like playing a video game than anything. Though instead of being the player, she was the computer and Jordan had to try and beat her. It would be an endurance test so the longer Jordan lasted the better she would score.

Whit looked up at the screen and got confused as everyone else when it displayed a wonky message.
He and Shige just shrugged it off and headed over to the flight Ira testing ground where Avery and Jordan were already getting underway. Though this time Whit was glad he could be be peering over Avery's shoulder.

He prodded Shige up the stairs and they entered the small cube through the bottom so they could stand with Avery.

"What're you planning now oh evil mastermind?" he asked leaning on Avery from behind and resting his chin on her shoulder where he could easily see the monitor.

"Aww, now that's just mean" he said in reference to her plans. Not that he could judge, having been in the dome on only the rarest of occasions. But it seemed hard to him.

Jordan let out a breath and flew up into the maze. "Wha!" She immediately flipped backwards as a flying cube...well, flew by. Alright...here we go!

"Okay!" Avery said into the microphone by the console. "My plan is this. Other than the usual stuff you need to dodge and get through, I'm going to release waves of multi colored dodge balls." Avery said this as if it were absolutely no problem.

"The trick is! she added the balls will be different colors and if they hit you, obviously, you'll lose points; certain colors will take away more points. Red is minus 50, blue is minus 20 and yellow and green are minus 10 and 5 respectively. But! one of the colors will always be worth points and if you catch that color and put it through any hoop you score. If you have caught a ball you're also allowed to block other balls with it.

Just be careful because you can only catch the balls WORTH points without getting a ding in your score. The ball colors that are worth points are the color of the lights currently surrounding the ring, which for right now are blue.

Other than that the standard flight trial rules apply. If you get tired and want to finish with a positive score you need to hit the red button on the platform opposite mine. --- Avery paused.

"Any questions?" she asked. ...she had just come up with this idea on the fly.

Whit just shook his head and hid his face in Avery;s shoulder for a second, though she seemed to be ignoring him for the moment.

Jordan, being inside the massive 'box', couldn't exactly tell Avery how crazy this was. So she just sighed and gave her a thumbs up. "Okay, blue...dodge...there'd better not be too many balls out here."

How many IS too many? Avery pondered as she sent the first wave of balls Jordan's way. There was a good ratio of all the colors represented so a blue ball wouldn't be too hard to grab. If you thought about this trial logically, you could even take a hit from a green or yellow ball in your effort to get the blue ball and still come out with a point gain.

Whit watched what was going on below and secretly started planning on fiddling with Avery's buttons just because.
Though all in an effort to help Jordan, of course.

Once Alex checked and made sure that everyone there had an excuse or a pass, he left.


Spencer sighed with relief. "Oh, thank god. I was sweating under my collar" he said in a relieved tone.

Jordan dodged the first wave, sort of flowing through the air and catching a blue ball easily, given how many Avery had put in. She flew at a moderate pace to one of the hoops and tossed it through. She didn't want to spend too much energy right now. Getting to balls while dodging would quickly become the bulk of the challenge. "So far so good."

"Awesome!" Avery said pleased that Jordan understood her rash idea so well.
She shrugged a shoulder as Whit shifted position and held onto her waist in a different way.

She would have shot him a look, but he usually used those opportunities to his advantage now-a-days.

Whit would have tilted Aves to the side, but he could tell his subtle attempt at distraction would need to be entered into subtly, else Aves would see it coming when she had fully gotten used to the flight trial computer.
