It was the beginning now, the beginning of their game, of his chance to end this effortlessly. Robby turned his attention to his two competitors and sat down on the chair that was specifically reinforced for just such an occasion.
The first must be Maw. He looked pretty dangerous in this, like he could eat a building. But Robby could win. The other, well, was intimidating by height, but the Obese Lad wasn't intimidated. Why? He was Robby Tobb. And height didn't mean he'd win.
The first plates were being brought, something simple, hot dogs... Once those were gone, more food would be brought.

There was a first dish? Ma could only recall the deliverance of the seventh. Two minutes later.
"Seventh? Where's the other ones?" she grunted. It was a long grunt, too, to accommodate the full sentence. The waiter said something she didn't hear, because she was busy devouring the seventh dish in the time it took him to breath.
Her question had, however, allowed Goldberg to power ahead of her, toward the next dish of food.

It felt like it only took instants to eat the dishes. Eighth? Maw wasn't so much a threat. Robby was already on the eight- nineteenth. It was some kind of casserole, large, intended to fill him. And it was gone as quickly as it came.
And then there was the fourty-seventh, the last of the food they'd made expected no one like Robby or Maw, or apparently Lawrence.
And there it was, a pie. Or, well, a few pies. The moment the first one hit Robby's tongue, a horrible song popped in. Cherry pie. Oh Arceus. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Robby screamed, holding his head and falling backwards far too dramatically for a competition of this nature.

((N should totally be watching this, considering he hates Robby with a passion.))
By the time Robby had finished that single word, Goldberg was finishing the fiftieth and final dish. A giant brisket of Miltank made up of well, the entire Miltank.
When it was over, Ma having a heart attack over there that no one could notice, Goldberg was declared the victor.
In what probably seemed like a haze to Robby, Goldberg was awarded his infinite meal card, free meals at this particular restaurant for the rest of his life.
In the closing four minutes from the start of the eating contest, Goldberg departed the champion.

((This Tobbster defeat is approved by seven of eight of my remaining brain cells.))
Robby watched from his collapsed position as Lawrence was awarded his victory card. The Tobbster slowly stood up and looked out at the crowd with a growl. A defeat here... He needed to get over that one weakness that destroyed his style, his amazing abilities. With the song still destroying his mind, Robby walked away, leaving behind the horrors of this particular eating contest. And completely forgetting the cash prize of second place that, with so many dropouts, was pretty substantial.

((Sorry I haven't been on, that was my bad, my internet was down for a few days unfortantely, but I am back.))
AJ was just outside Castelia City Gym amping himself up with Eevee by his side as he takes a slow breath. His first official gym battle against Burgh, AJ wasn't sure if he could win, but he did know one thing, there was only one way to definitely find out. AJ forced the doors open and he slowly walked inside of the buidling and took a brief look around before annoucing his presence. "Um excuse me... I'm here to take the gym challe..." AJ stopped talking when he noticed that he he stepped on a small pile of threat, strung by a bug type of pokemon. AJ kneeled down to examine it more closely as Eevee came up and began to sniff it, slowly shying away from it. AJ looked around and he noticed a light switch on the wall.
AJ flipped it up and it activated lamps all over the gym, which revealed a bunch of wild life; trees, grass, bushes. AJ walked slowly through the brush until he came to some cluttered trees which were littered with honey and silk thread. AJ not wanting anything to get anything sticky he brought out Ralts and had it use Magical leaf to seperate all of it. AJ walked up through the new clearing and recalled Ralts into its pokeball.
AJ made it into an opening where he saw a man painting quite a few bug type pokemon, including a Dwebble. AJ stared for a moment until the painter spoke. "Just one moment please... I almost finished capturing the sheer presence of my beautiful pokemon." AJ blinked for a moment, who was this guy and why was he standing in the middle of a pokemon gy, painting his pokemon? It was another moment before the painter got up and wandered to the trainer square on the opposite side. "I am Burgh, Gym Leader of Castellia City. I specialize in this beautifully strong bug type pokemon. I assume you are here to challenge me, no?" AJ was even more confused, the gym leader was a painter? AJ ignored all the questions he had about this and just simply nodded and then spoke. "That's right, I would like to contest for an Insect Badge in a two on two pokemon battle." AJ stated what he wanted and hoped for the best, Burgh thought for a moment, holding his hand to his chin and then responded. "Gladly young challenger, I will accept."
AJ took a breath and closed his eyes, placing a hand on a poke ball on his waist. "AJ of Iron Island in the Hoenn Region is taking you on, so remember the name!" AJ took the Pokeball off his waist and he threw out his pokeball containing Riolu whom stood ready. Burgh smiled and shook his head. "Over zealous, you should be patient, Let's go... Dwebble!" Dwebble took the field and AJ spoke first. "Riolu, use Force Palm!" Riolu went running and lifted his arm preparing to thrust his paw forward into Dwebble whom moved out of the way with an incredible speed for such a heavy pokemon. "Dwebble's shell is lighter than others, making it more agile. Dwebble knock it away with Smack Down and then follow up with Rock Blast."
Riolu didn't have any budging room as he was nailed with Smack Down and then Rock Blast, almost knocking him out of the battle area. AJ gritted his teeth as Riolu slowly got to his feet. "Riolu use quick attack!" Burgh shook his head and smiled slightly. "Even if it hits, it will not be to effective, Dwebble, use Rock Polish and follow up with Fury Cutter." Riolu hit Dwebble as he used Rock Polish which ended up pretty much deflecting him only for him to get hit with a Fury Cutter.
AJ was stuck, what would he do? What was he doing wrong? AJ was worried, but Riolu got back up and this time AJ waited. "Dwebble go at him and use Bug Bite." AJ wasted no time. "Riolu use quick attack to get behind Dwebble and use Cross Chop!" It played out pretty well, Dwebble missed and Riolu was right behind him, in the midst of using Cross Chop and finally connecting with a move that had some effect on Dweeble.
"It would seem you found your advantage, but lets see you avoid this, a tm used exclusively here and by those who win the insect badge, Dwebble use Struggle Bug!" AJ wasn't sure what the move was but he figured they'd try and counter anyway. "Riolu quick attack again and use Drain Punch this time!" Riolu only got close to half way around Dwebble this time before he released a huge red barrier which sent Riolu flying back and into a tree, KOing him. AJ gulped and recalled Riolu. "Good job friend... Dad would be proud... Now, Ralts, it's your turn!" AJ threw Ralts out as his second Pokemon. "Dwebble use Struggle Bug again!" AJ gritted his teeth and then thought for a moment. "Ralts, Teleport out of the way and use Confusion, we need to get through him!" Ralts did as ordered, forcing Dwebble to miss and catch a Confusion attack which also confused the Dwebble.
"Ralts, lets knock Dwebble out of this battle with Magical Leaf!" Burgh knew he had a slim chance of having Dwebble bounce back. "Dwebble you have to shake it off and use Struggle Bug." Before Dwebble could even move it was nailed by Magical Leaf and hit him hard sending him flying and KOing him from the rest of the match. Burgh ran a hand through his hair and he threw out another pokeball this one contained Leavanny. "Leavanny, no time to waste, kick things off with Leaf Storm." AJ heard Burgh's proclimation and he instantly went for his own call. "Ralts, teleport and use double team!" Ralts managed to move faster than Leavanny and he pulled off double team, however Leavanny's Leaf Storm took out all the clones made by double team and anaged to hit Ralts whom took the hit hard. "Sorry AJ from Iron Island, but it's over, Leavanny, kick it up, Hyper Beam!" Ralts didn't even have a chance to move after getting up, it was totally engulfed in the hyper beam, and when the attack was over Ralts was struggling to stand for a moment but ultimately fell over giving Burgh the win. "Your Pokemon love you, that was obvious enough, but you were just out matched this time, you gave me a fight, you've got nothing to be ashamed of." AJ returned Ralts and lowered his head, he had lost, he felt he was all talk now. AJ didn't even say a word and he slowly left the gym without even lifting his head, Eevee in his tracks concerned for his trainer as they left for the pokemon center.
(Figures ud have Henrietta target me now after I made myself have such an epic loss to Burgh.)

And in front of AJ did appear a wall, a wall of mass the likes of which he'd probably never seen before. Robby Tobb, the Tobbster had appeared. If he kept walking, he'd do what so many others had before him, bounce off of Robby.
And the Tobbster turned his eyes to the other trainer, acknowledged the eevee. "Yo." He said, eyes flashing, shade allowing for the light to hit them right and make his gaze seem a menacing glare. On his shoulder was perched a swanna, looking directly at the pokemon, a predatory twinkle literally flashing in her eye as the light hit it just right, her head tilted to keep most of it from getting in them.
"You're battling me. Got it?" And then he ate a fistful of chips.

((Oh so you want to fight against my two characters huh? Which reminds me I need to post for her too))
Fleya would let out a sigh of exhaustion and irritation as she finally moves out from the terminal and enters Castelia City she rubbed her legs a little let out a soft groan,"Man thats the last time I walk across a long bridge like that would have been easier to just ride the bus." She says though the reason she didn't was a little more valid in her head but the burning in her legs made her have to rethink her ideas a bit more.
She stretchs her back a little and looks around,"Well since i'm here might as well look for some place to eat at least for the moment." She says walking away from the peers and heading into the heart of the city.

Crimson found the Pokemon Center and entered it, even though his clothes were still wet. He walked over to the front desk and asked the nurse if he could use some temporary clothes or robes so that he may use a dryer to dry off his current clothes, and the ones that were in his backpack. The nurse nodded and had him sign a paper so she knew who was borrowing the clothes.
After filling out his information she went to another room to get the things Crimson would need. As he waited, he pulled a PokeBall off of his belt to let out his Pikachu named, Zeus to keep him company. As the Pokemon was sent out, he looked at Crimson with a smile and greeted him by saying its species name, as most Pokemon do.
"So, Zeus. How are you feeling today?" Crimson asked as he pet Zeus on the head.
"Pika! Pika!" Zeus said with much excitement.
"That's good. After I get my clothes finished drying, We are going to do some training." Crimson then thought about Gale. "I hope he's ok. I'm sure once he wakes up he will come looking for us. It shouldn't be hard to spot my own Pidgeot, since they don't exactly roam in the Unova region."
Zeus nodded and turned his attention to the nurse who came back with Crimson's temporary clothing. After thanking her, he went to change in a bathroom in the Center then went to a clothes washing part of the guest area in the Pokemon Center. All he really needed to do was dry them. They weren't dirty so it should only take about thirty minutes.
Sometime later, after the clothes were finally dry, Crimson returned the robe he borrowed from the Pokemon Center and made his way out of the building to actually start his journey around Unova. He saw plenty of people walking around and felt the peacefulness of the new region with every smile on every person who walked by.
"This place seems pretty nice, and this city is huge. I wonder if all of Unova is like this."
Crimson felt something climb up onto his shoulder. He looked to his left to see Zeus sitting there with a big smile. The Pikachu was amazed to see such a big city.
"Its pretty cool right Zeus?" Crimson asked.
"Pika~" Zeus said in a cheerful tone.
Crimson laughed and started to wander the city with Zeus on his shoulder. The two saw trainers with Pokemon they had never seen before. It started to make Crimson think.
'I wonder what the average skill level of a Unova trainer is? Maybe I should find out so I can test my skills.'
He then looked around for a strong looking trainer to battle.

(( N's a creeper. For all you know, he could've been watching the eating contest the whole time ninja ))
“Oh wow.” Jaiden frowned and sat crosslegged besides Henrietta. Weakening her resolve was not going to work. This girl was an oddity among trainers. She wasn’t as timid as the report had led him to believe. Or perhaps in the Pinwheel Forest, something changed her.
It didn’t matter what it was. The fact of the matter was that Henrietta didn’t know what to make of Team Plasma, which meant she wasn’t on a crusade against them.
She thinks she needs to get stronger. Psssh. They’re supposed to protect each other. Humans always think that it’s all about them. Jaiden looked up at the sky, trying to spot a silver shimmer through the sandstorm. It was a little discouraging for him when he couldn’t see it.
“So there are good trainers, there are bad trainers…you sound like one of the better ones.”
Jaiden reached out to the Krokorok and held out his fingers in a way that made his hand look like an imitation of the pokemon’s snout. The Krokorok eyed his hand carefully before nudging against it. Now close enough, Jaiden began to pet the Ground type’s head. A trick he learned from growing up around the area.
He turned to face her. The look on his face was that of an innocent, unknowing questioner. But every question he posed was designed to push closer to the truth. “So what do you think should happen to the bad trainers?”

Henrietta's cheeks flushed at the compliment. A meek "N-no, I.." but she stopped herself when she saw him reach out to the Pokemon. The Krokorok seemed to be taking a liking to him. She turned her head to look at him, hair still billowing wildly in the continuous sandstorm.
His question posed, Henrietta diverted her eyes. "I don't know." Darumi climbed down from her lap and she stood up to continue her healing work. She was almost done, actually.
"I don't think anyone should die, and it's hard to say whose really bad and whose good. Even the lady from Team Plasma that tried to kill me - she only attacked because I conflicted with her goal. I dunno, maybe good and bad are entirely circumstantial? I wish.. I could understand them a little more. Team Plasma. Everyone."

"I don't want anyone to die either."
Some people would be better off dead.
Jaiden grinned up at Henrietta. "I'm sure if you say so, then Team Plasma must not be as bad as some people think they are. I wish people could just talk instead of fighting."
There's nothing to talk about anymore. Humanity had their chance.
He remembered the Krokorok at his side. That's right, he had a facade to keep up. Only he had no intention of capturing the pokemon. But he had to make it look like it, in front of Henrietta at least. Jaiden leaned closer to the Ground type.
"Hey buddy. You wanna have an adventure with me?" The Krokorok tilted his head to the side. "I mean do you wanna be my pokemon? We can do all sorts of stuff together. I wanna see the world, do you wanna come with me?"
A huge lump formed in Jaiden's throat. This wasn't right, leading on this pokemon. The Krokorok's eyes lit up, excited by the proposition. Jaiden instinctively clutched up at his shirt over his heart.
To Henrietta, it may have looked like a heartwarming moment. To Jaiden, the deception was killing him.
"Kroka!"
Jaiden stood up, beaming at Henrietta. "Hey! He wants to be my pokemon! Amazing!" The pre-teen smiled at the older girl. "And I didn't even have to beat him up, just like you said!"

Jaiden's moments coincided with Henrietta healing the last of the injured Pokemon. She turned around to face Jaiden and offered a shy little smile. "Th-that's great." She said. It was true, the boy had befriended his first Pokemon.
"I-i should head back to Castelia," she said. She was hot, covered in sand, her hair was a mess and the sandstorm was eating away at her and her Pokemon.

"Wait!" Jaiden reached out his hand to gesture for Henrietta to stop. This was the difficult part. He needed to establish a recurring connection.
"Thanks for helping me out so much. Do you have an xtransceiver?" he asked, pointing to the wristwatch device Reid had given him in the morning. It wasn't his real one, only a decoy so he couldn't be traced.
"Cause...I dunno, I have so many questions and you have so many answers. Would you mind if I called you for advice?" He paused to rub the back of his head sheepishly.
It was flimsy, he knew it. But his eyes sparkled wide with youthful innocence. Jaiden was counting on an appeal to Henrietta's motherly nature. She seemed to be a naturally caring person. He hoped she'd take the bait.
All he needed was her number and he could track her down.
