First, must I create my own rescue team or am I able to join the others that have already been made?
Second, when it comes to the partner Assignment Center, can I be any type of pokemon that I want to be before having to have my partner decided for me? And just by doing the assignment thing, does that automatically mean that I'll have to have a rescue team?

1) you 'll need to create your rescue team
2) You can be any pokemon you want for your first., for your partner, you will roll

if its shiny's that your giving away I have like 40 of 'em in my fire red (I train a lot. and I run into a shiny at least once a week...)

Well you must be incredibly lucky. I run into them once every NEVER!
Anyway yes this time it is a shiny. Next time it will be something diferent.

I never feel lucky when I play pokemon *thinks back to when his cpu opponent had only a krabby 20 lvs lower than him and OHKOed his entire team of 6 pokes with Vicegrip. a move that has a 30% chance of hitting.*

Hmm...I don't have much shiny. I only have a Black Charzard, purple Blastoise, blue Psyduck, Gold Garados, and Gold Geodude.
Oh and a red Lugia ~_~

I have a shiny sharpedo..actually, I was looking for a feebas and I came up on a shiny charvana... then i evolved it into a sharpedo

All the shiny's I have came from noobs who didn't know a good thing when they saw it. That's how I'm able to have pokemon like Deoxis (the alien one). My favorite is the Black Charizard though. I wonder what are the chances of someone having one. Cause he told me he just started the game and he had it. But whenever I try i don't get s**t ~_~
