Looking for two level's of flock RP for my new Harpy boy!

As he enters his Early teenage years, after spending months in the all male sub-herd near the end of his first year, Taarab's interest in making things erupts into a full blown obsession of sorts, along with his desire to prove useful. I'm hoping that perhaps he can eventually, once he hits three and starts growing at a more human pace, try and form an artisans guild within the male safezone, to teach stallions -- and possibly mares that don't mind working in the same area as males -- how to find a craft they can hone and expend excess energies on that might otherwise lead to wanderlust.
I'd LOVE for him to find some other stallions who decide they'd like to take up a hobby to keep themselves busy and useful. While hooved soquili will likely work slower or be limited in what they can make,there is still plenty they CAN make, such as helping stretch leather or even making incense, paints, dyes, and medicines, grinding stones together to make or polish a bowl, or just gathering the materials.
Honest, voluntary work (since males are not required to do anything other then breed and look pretty under usual circumstances) would help some males keep themselves busy as they thought of ways to escape.. Or find themselves enjoying being there and feeling like its more of a home when they take the initiative to make themselve a niche. Even if they do escape, they might learn something useful they can use outside of the flock for character development, so they gain something for being in the flock other then a story to tell back home.
Taarab wishes to organize it, and create a miniature Flock-centric trading post of sorts -- trading materials (and sometimes a snack or special treat) in a bartering system for finished products -that use slightly less materials or more common materials, so they can 'afford' to make it and have extra for experimentation and practice.
It'd help make the flock even more of a growing and evolving culture then it already is, and give us boys something to RP about other then "Bwar I'm in the flock this is horrible" or "Gee, Idk, its not to bad, I've got a good mistress", and might actually allow for some mares to find a spot that's currently not an available position within the flock, such as drum maker or a weaver or Healer.
While I highly doubt the queen would ever open up trade outside of the flock on any sort of level that they'd require a 'trader' position (even if it would be good PR for them lol), unless they needed something in particular they couldn't get within its boarders (much like how the Oracle takes favors from outsiders), it'd give them something to trade with if they DID encounter someone outside that was female and respectful, but still had something they wanted and didn't want to make a worse name for themselves with the local population. They'd likely not want a bigger attack to come in.
They might be able to handle some gryphons and the non-loyal males rising up against their captors in the chaos, though it leads to most of the males escaping, I doubt they'd WANT to attack someone for their jewelry only to be attacked by a large herd. lol but I digress
