He was so sure that, as powerful as his raiton techniques were, there couldn't be anyone as good with their elements as he was with his. Obviously he was wrong though. One of Satoshi's specialties had to be Ninjutsu. There was no other way he could have defended that attack so well. I'm running out of aces. I really should have trained more for this. Unsure of how to proceed, Katsuya decided that being the aggressor wasn't doing much for him. All he was doing was wasting precious chakra. It was time to switch things up by being a bit more defensive.
━━As he was thinking, trying to decide what he should do next, Katsuya's thoughts were interrupted by his opponent creating clones. Speaking of clones... oh s**t. Before he had any time to react, the strand of lightning his previous clone had transformed into struck him in the side, cause it to revert to its original form and appear right beside him. Thanks to his tolerance to electricity it didn't hurt him at all, but the feeling was still pretty uncomfortable. The clone, looking a bit queasy and green in the face, placed a hand on Katsuya's shoulder to steady itself. As their opponent finished creating its last clone however, its face finally returned to its original color. When it looked up it glanced at its creator, confused as to why he was just standing there and looking at what to it seemed to be nothing. "Hey, what's up? It didn't work but its only one guy. If you create more clones we can still take him." Katsuya glanced sideways at his clone, wondering if it had gone crazy. There was... definitely more than one. He'd created a good number of clones... unless... Genjutsu. I'm an idiot. There's no technique I know of that a genin can learn that is able to create so many clones at a time. It seemed that Satoshi had made a mistake. He'd performed the Genjutsu on Katsuya, but neglected his clone. The two of them realized this at the same time, gave each other a small nod, and decided to wait and see what their opponent would do. The clone was smart enough to know that looking a Genjutsu specialist in the eye or at their hands was impossible, so kept its gaze focused on his chest. In Katsuya's mind, if he could wait this illusion out by letting his clone be his eyes then there was little point in wasting the chakra to kai out of it.

This dedication to Raiton techniques however leaves his Maruton neglected, making those techniques cost an additional ten chakra. • Godspeed: Moderate increase to speed. • Espionage: As the heir to the Azuma clan Katsuya's abilities in stealth are unmatched, even allowing him to go as far as to completely erase his presence and any killer intent coming off of him. His abilities in this are so proficient that he can go unnoticed even by those up to a rank above his own.
Satoshi had already advanced closer to Katsuya and his clone, quickly taking advantage of the clone's slightly weakened state to dispose of it with a chakra-enhanced Kunai, flicking it towards the clone, the hit more than likely ensured due to their close proximity. Satoshi assumed this was Katsuya's first experience with this particular Genjutsu, and possibly Genjutsu in general, given his reaction of idly standing in place, which would work to his advantage. With Satoshi positioned behind Katsuya at this point he quickly took a few steps back while forming hand seals, spewing fire that surrounded Katsuya, preventing him from escape, the flames taking on the appearance of a large spider that would trap him. The spider would begin relentlessly attacking the target beneath, using its eight massive legs as a cage to prevent escape. It was during this time that the Genjutsu cast was deactivated. Satoshi created a clone beside him for backup, preparing his next assault. Meanwhile, the temperature within the cage of the attacking spider would continue to rise, as there isn't much room underneath the spider to begin with, as whatever lies beneath has already been trapped.

This creates clones of fire, disguised to look exactly like the user. The clones have the user’s stats. When destroyed, the clones burst into flame, capable of creating first degree burns and lighting clothing/leaves/paper/etc. on fire.

His opponent didn't seem to know that he already knew that the others were simple illusions, so that just made things that much better for him. He created another clone to replace the one lost to Satoshi's kunai. Satoshi followed that up by circling around behind him. Katsuya didn't really see what the point of that was, but he seemed to have something planned. He was right. In a second the Katon specialist was shooting a ring of fire to surround him, and just before it could take its monstrous appearance of a spider, Katsuya did something ridiculously stupid that just might work. He grabbed the front of his clone's shirt with one hand, and with the other grabbed him between the legs in the crotch area. With all his strength, he threw the clone over the ring of fire. Immediately afterwards the ring turned into a giant spider to trap him, but that didn't matter anymore. Katsuya used the substitution jutsu, allowing his clone to take the hit instead. What he suspected would happen happened. He appeared in his clone's place, flying through the air straight towards Satoshi just as he finished his jutsu. Satoshi wouldn't have the time to do anything else after that though, because he'd be too busy dodging a bolt of lightning coming straight at him. Even if he did dodge though, Katsuya was going down, and would rebound off the ground to immediately hit his opponent wherever he tried to dodge.

Satoshi watched Katsuya's every move intently after creating his clone. The ring of fire surrounded him, but before the fire could take its form into the giant spider that would attack him, he managed to create a clone and substitute with it, after throwing it over the ring of fire. It was a very clever move, he'd admit. The moment his body disappeared with a spark of lightning, Satoshi silently cursed himself, both he and his clone ready for the counterattack. He barely escaped that jutsu once before, when he was put into a corner. The bolt was heading straight for him, leaving Satoshi with little options of defense or evasion. Quickly substituting with the clone beside him, Katsuya's attack would hit, however, it wouldn't be the target he was hoping. The lightning bolt plunged through the clone, causing an electrical current to erupt within him, bringing the clone to his knees; his muscles spasm uncontrollably. Once again, he avoided that annoying technique. Jumping high into the air, Satoshi recalled when one of Katsuya's clones used the same technique. The clone became disoriented, nauseated, and dizzy after using that technique. He could use this to advantage, much like he did before, but with a better result than the last attempt. Forming hand seals, Satoshi built up a massive amount of fire chakra in his stomach, letting it travel up his lungs and out of his mouth to form a rather large fireball. Its massive size would be more than enough to take Katsuya and the clone out, not to mention the speed it was traveling at, flying downwards towards the two targets. That alone, would leave the two nothing more than a pile of ash inside of the crater this technique would create. With Katsuya dazed temporarily, there would be no way of escape. If he attempted to move, he would most likely stumble, still within reach of the fireball's fury.

XXXXXIbara reacted without hesitation. There would be no dodging this for Katsuya and Ibara knew very well how dangerous this jutsu that Satoshi had used was. He himself could use this jutsu and was going to have to counter it for Katsuya. Ibara brought his hand to his chest and vanished from where he was spectating next to his Anbu guard. As the hokage was traveling the short distance he was inhaling deeply molding fuuton chakra and when his feet hit the ground he turned toward the fireball exhaling a "Bullet" of fuuton chakra which would collide with the fireball creating a small explosion. "That's enough. Satoshi is the winner." Ibara said looking down to Katsuya. "You did well Katsuya but if I hadn't stepped in, in your condition at the moment you could've been seriously hurt." He turned toward Satoshi, but spoke to both genin at the same time. "I urge both of you to stay and watch the next few rounds to learn even more. With that being said next up is Rin (Drake144) and Cecillia!" Ibara leaped from where he had been standing and made his way back to the stands to watch the next fight.

Cecilia had watched the entire fight, but even though she should have been happy for either winner, she felt a bit disappointmented. She was really looking forward for Katsuya to win. She was happy for Satoshi though. Either way that was a great fight and it had the whole crowd cheering as they seemed to enjoy it even more. She just hoped she could put on a great show for the crowd too. The girl jumped down, entering the sparring grounds, waiting for her opponent to follow. She didnt know who this Rin was, but she knew she had to keep her guard up at all times. It was the only way, she had to stay in for as long as she could and try her best.

Cecilia looked up, as her opponent jumped down into the arena, seeming to be staring at her and walking up to her. The girl smiled and waved, even though she was totally nervous, she could hide her emotions pretty well. "Hello! I'm Cecilia, your opponent. Maybe afterword, we could hang out for a bit, if you'd like too. But for now, there's a crowd waiting to see a fight, so lets start now and give it our best and make it a great show for everyone. The girl decided to start it off, but she had to think outside the box. She didn't know very many jutsu, and she hadn't actually prepared for this fight. She would have to fight completely with what she has now. The only thing she could possibly use was her sword and the transformation technique. It wasn't much but if she could somehow think of a clever way to use it, it would defiantly work out. Cecilia ran to the side of Rin, trying her best to think up of a battle plan. She had plenty years of practicing trying to run her fastest, so naturally running quickly was easy, and she could run pretty fast, smoke following her every step of the way. She unsheathed her sword, carefully examining every movement the boy may make. She waited for him to attack first, there was nothing she could possibly do but use her sword, heading toward an opponent with nothing to follow with isnt smart, she had to find a way to work around it and somehow find a spot to attack where Rin may not see her. This was extremely hard to do but it was the only way.

Cecilia heard him say goodluck, which made her smile with bliss. "Goodluck to you too." With that said, Cecilia watched Rin from the side, as she charges around the field, looking for an opening. She was hoping he'd try and make the first move, but instead he only backs away. She was going to have to force her way up there somehow, while having a backup plan ready in case something doesn't go the way she hoped it would. The girl got somewhat close, jumped onto the wall, and bounced back down at high speeds, leaving a dust cloud following behind her, right in Rin's general direction. She pulled her long pink sword in front of her, spinning really fast while keeping it way in the front, aiming for one of his legs or anything she can possibly hit.

Rin sees her coming at him very fast. He pulled out his sword and dashed towards her. As they neared each other, Rin brings his sword up to block her attack. As he does this ,he did a few hand signs and electrified his blade. As their swords connected, the electric energy would transfer through her blade and into her body. This would cause her body to become numb and stun her momentarily. After that, he would throw a left hook into her stomach with everything he had.

Nagare Tensou no Jutsu [ Current Transfer Technique ] Rank: D Official Description: The user creates an electrical current in his or her hand; this current can then be transferred onto any weapon he or she happens to be holding at that moment, be it a Kunai, Senbon, Shuriken, or even a sword. Cecilia became alert of her surroundings, figuring this may not actually have been a very great battle strategy, but she didn't have any other option to choose. Her backup plan at this point was turning out worthless, she didn't expect Rin to have an electric blade. She should have seen some sort of trick coming, but she didn't give it as much thought as she would have liked to. By the time she realized this, she wasn't able to pull back. The only thing she could do was examine her opponent more carefully so that she would find out what kind of a ninja she was up against and try to think of a clever plan around it, which at this point was proving to be very difficult. As the two collided, the sound of the swords metal bashing against eachother could be heard echoing off of the walls of the stadium. Cecilia winced as the electric surged through her body as she landed on the ground, stunning her and forcing her to be unable to move. But she didn't give in, she continued trying to break free, giving it everything she had, but it was useless. Her body refused to move. As she was stuck, she tried to think up another plan that deals with breaking through this sort of sword in which he possessed. At this point, anything was worth a shot. She never liked giving in. Soon enough, the girl was thrown after Rin's fist connected into her stomach, flying into the top of the wall at high speeds, dropping onto the floor. She groaned, lieing still on the floor for a moment. I..I can't give in.. When her mind finally returned, she quickly used her hands to push herself back up, helping to get up even faster, and onto her feet. It was a bit hard for her, as much as she didn't show it, and that was something she was great at hiding, but that attack had actually hurt her quite alot, but she hoped it would not slow her down. She began to dash again, circling him, wondering where to start now that she knew what he was capable of. Her brain was fried, she really didn't think that move would backfire, but this fight was proving to be the most difficult she's ever faced, she had to admit. He was very good. It may not be a good idea to jump so fast like that yet, so she had to think of something else. She grabbed three kunai's out of her holster, flicking them toward him with her wrist. As they flew at him, she charged behind him, trying to hit him with her sword again, hoping that the kunai would distract him long enough that she would be able to get a hit in. Her speed though wasn't as fast as she would have liked it to be, it was just a bit slowed down, but she gave every last bit of energy she had.
Rin was surprised that she got up so quickly after the shock from his attack. He watched her closely as she started circling him. He didn't move and watched her movements carefully and saw her throw the three kunai at him and that she followed behind them. Rin spun quickly in her direction and made the necessary hand signs to unleash his next jutsu. As he did this, he slashed horizontally at her. Thid caused a tornadoe to form and deflect the three kunai. After that, the tornadoe rushed towards her quickly. The wind current was strong, pulling her into it as it got closer. If she got trapped by it, it would severely cut her and most likely end the match.
Kamaitachi no Jutsu [ Slashing Wind Skill ] Rank: D Official Description: Using Chakra and a weapon, the user creates a tornado that surrounds and slashes at objects. Guild Description: The wind slashes objects; at most it can cut tree branches. Like a real tornado, the wind expands as it goes farther and hits larger targets. The wind disappears after being shot for twenty feet and at most it widens to fifteen feet. This technique can severely cut and knock back a Shinobi, and most D-Ranked elemental Ninjutsu are dispelled when they are hit by this Jutsu

XXXXXIbara once again reacted without hesitation. Thankfully it appeared this match had been shorter and for that he was thankful, the Hokage wanted to move on to the finals and all though the shinobi were showing great talent he wanted to get out of here and just take a nap. As he appeared before Cecilia he reached out and grabbed the girls shoulder before lifting off like a rocket and flying back approximately twenty yards. The violent change in directions would probably disorient the girl but it would be much better than her being sliced to ribbons. "Congratulations Rin, you have won." Ibara smiled and patted Cecilia gently on the shoulder "You did valiantly." Ibara then turned and announced the next match would be Ryouichi and Shikatsu before returning to his post.

Ryouichi looked up as he heard his name called. He then stood up and jumped down from the stadium, Ibuse quick behind. Ryouichi then crossed his arms in front of him and waited for his opponent to show up. Some of the techniques he had learned weren't going to be useful in this as it would break the rules. However, a good portion of them he had learned would still be useful. Ryouichi figured genjutsu would be one of his first things to use. He couldn't show the power of a sage either so, he had to calculate that into his strategy to beat this new opponent.
