Now that they were in agreement on the plan she prepared herself mentally for the hell that would await her when she had to pick up a dead body and move it but much to both her relief she watched more than a few bugs pour from the mans body and the glass gourd upon his back. Though despite her relief she was visablly unnerved by the sheer amount of bugs. Growing up spoiled and pampered meant bugs were not a normal meeting for her. As such she did not like them very much, though she liked not having to touch the bodies more. When he inquired as to their next location she took a deep breath and nodded,"Residential district. When I cleared that area I marked each of the houses that had dead in them above the door with the number of dead inside. I also lit some fires so we can use them to warm up a bit while your bugs do their thing." Turning on heel she started for the district.

Looking At Inori, Osamu could see that she was at least somewhat unnerved at all the bugs he had around and within him. When she explained how she had set tings up in the residential district, the medical-nin nodded, “Sounds good… and sorry, I should have given you a little more warning about my kikaichu.. I’m from the Aburame clan, bugs are kind of our thing.. Osamu’s my name, by the way.” He’d say as cheerfully as a guy hauling a pile of corpses behind him can as he walked alongside Inori headed for the Residential District.

Nakano Toshihiro

User Image
Toshihiro looked at Hakanai and took the scroll. Before he could say anything she was already rushing off. He stare looked down at the scroll for a moment and then opened it and read the contents inside. 'Well then.. I feel safe already' He thought with a light sigh. It wasn't long until he heard Osamu's voice from a distance telling him to continue the patrol. He could see another woman there, perhaps something else came up. He gave a thumbs up as the wind blew slightly, hitting him with some bitter air.

He walked along the roof top now, looking down and around the plaza. A hard gust hit Toshihiro again making him grimace a bit. "Alright enough of that." He muttered to himself hopping down from the roof top and into the street now. Looking around he spotted a building with it's door open. Toshihiro cautiously walked up to the door and looked from outside in.

With it being dark it was hard for him to tell what was inside so he began to take cautious steps inside, advancing into the building. The hall opened up into a bigger room which appeared to be a small auditorium or classroom as the light from outside began to pierce throw the curtains of the windows. He walked to the center, his guard still up, and looked around as his vision began to adjust. 'What am I looking for' He thought going to the front of the room where there was a good amount of space.

"Well since I'm on patrol with no actual skills, I believe it would be appropriate to practice a bit at the same time." He said out loud thinking, his voice echoing. He drew his katana and readied himself to practice some of the lessons he learned a few days ago from the academy. Stepping into a stance that was one shoulder width wide and a shoulder width long. He bent his knees slightly and stayed on the balls of his feet.

He began to perform basic stabs, stepping his foot forward slightly, extending his stance, and thrusting his blade forward and twisting at the end. He pulled back the blade, stepping back to the original parameters of the stance. He repeated this for exercise in three sets of ten. It was a basic skill but always one to prefect. 'Much like a jab, this technique is our version of a jab' He thought remembering what the instructor said back at the school. After finishing the last set, he turned and looked around, still nothing.
(1/1) Learned Hagane no Shunkan Basic Stab

Looking around the room, he walked to one end and placed his left heel on the wall in stance. He held his sword out in front of him, pointed forward. He took a quick step forward, advancing across the room He continued doing this until he made it to the other end. He turned around, resetting his starting his position. He wasn't use to these movements and he could feel the stress it put on the body as he was not use to it. He continued this, going across again. If anything he wanted to be somewhat ready for whatever it was attacking the village.
(1/1) Learned Hagane no Shunkan Linear Step

He stopped for a moment to catch his breath. He looked around the room, still nothing as he could hear the wind blowing outside. He sighed and began the next exercise, and this one was a bit different. He began to focus his chakra into his blade, similar to Bushi Ken no Jutsu, a technique his father had taught him before moving away. It was a simple technique for him to grasp. The chakra created a thin coak around the blade. He focused on it for a while and then released it without a sweat.
(1/1) Learned Hagane no Shunkan Reinforcement

Feeling as if he had enough time to get warmed up and refreshed on a few things, he decided it was time to get back to the mission, or at least report. There was nothing going on in the plaza, no enemies from what he saw on the outside. He walked out the door, the wind blowing lightly. 'I'm getting tired of this weather already... I guess I need to make a report. . .' He thought jumping off towards the Kage's office.

Honō Hokori
[ "A supplement to all others, yet weak on its own." ]

So it was witnessed...
Honō was standing by a seating area in the village plaza; a place normally relaxed and very family appropriate. The wall he was facing at that very moment, however, made it decidedly not so. With a small frown of sadness, Honō gently placed the bucket he was holding down, the hot water barely rippling in its settling. A decidedly coarse and sturdy brush and the bottle of approved cleaning agent were held to his body by one of the several fabric strips that were wrapped around his frame. Hands free, Honō moved to rolling his long sleeves up and over his shoulders - using one of the strands of threaded glass beads to tie and secure the loose material in place so he could clean without worry of getting them dirty. With both secure, Honō removed the brush and bottle of cleaning liquid from his belt, readjusted the material, and knelt down to add and mix the water and agent. The height of the graffiti was within the tall Hari clan member's reach, his already long arms meaning he had no need for a step ladder. With the brush, Honō ensures the mixture was well stirred and stood with the soapy brush in hand and leaned up - beginning his task at the top-most left corner of the unsanctioned mural, revealing a hint of a perhaps methodical nature.
                              [ 1/3 ]

Despite the frail appearance, Honō worked with a slow, heavy hand. The brush's movements were in no way hurried and the drips of water that slid down the wall as he worked were deliberately planned in hopes of 'loosening' the paint and making it an easier job as he went. Slowly, almost carefully, Honō used circular brush strokes to break and flake off the unsealed paint. Honō worked from left to right, all the way across, before moving down the brush's length and going from the left side and across once more. The second line was a little easier to work than the first, and the Worker class shinobi found he didn't have to rest his arms and gently massage out the growing cramps quite as frequently (if perhaps just due to the lower height he had to reach up for). The water that had been running down the wall, tinged in the various paints' colours, had been spreading the cleaning agent and soaking into the paint. The Hari clan member still had a way to go, his breathing slightly laboured but reigned in by his slow pace. There was a burn steadily growing in his arms and he knew he would have to stretch them out properly tonight. The bucket of hot water was lukewarm by the start of the second line and dirty by paint and grime that had naturally accumulated there.
                              [ 2/3 ]

The first time Honō had asked for hot water from the local store right next to the unauthorised mural, it was with hesitance and the thought that he was intruding. The man behind the counter was aged and immediately guessed what Honō was there to do and was quick to comment to see the graffiti gone. On the second request, Honō didn't even have to say a word; the man simply nodded, took the bucket to empty and rinse, and returned it with boiling water once again. Honō bowed deep and sincerely, giving his thanks before returning to his work. Honō managed to get more of the paint gone than last time before he returned to the shop owner once again, his chest moving a little more deeply than last in the losing battle against exhaustion. Hours had gone by when he came by for one final refill, intent on washing away the water from the wall and ground so it wouldn't dry and leave stains. And it was so he positioned himself in line with the wall he just cleaned with one hand holding the handle and the other gently cradling the bottom of the bucket. By this time of day the plaza was packed with people for the lunch time rush, and Honō could only observe and try to wait for the opportune time before sending a small wave of water over th-

The bucket clattered with a tinny bang, water splashing hectically over the paint-stained ground before him. Honō's knees stung something fierce, and his ears instantly picked up on laughter and whispers that could only be on his clumisness. He wasn't braced for the crowd when an elbow had knocked him from behind. An accident, he was sure, but a fool of himself he had now become. His cheeks glowed and moved from being on his hands and knees to gingerly inspect for any tears in his pants. The hakama were made of a sturdier material - there was no way his coat or sleeves would have survived. But as he pulled and inspected his pants he noticed red blossoming on the heels of his palms - the skin was grazed off and a bruise was already forming. A throb suddenly rang from his left wrist when he twisted it back to inspect the broken skin closely. And still he could hear people whispering and laughing at him...! He barely breathed, keeping his head ducked in case people saw the red in his cheeks, the humiliation in his eyes...

surrounding environment. Be it the stabilising pebble at the base of the wall,
or the angle needed to fell a tree where needed.

• Soldering Teammate:
Honō will support his teammates by means of supplying weapons, tripping
up the opponent, or manipulating the environment to his allies' advantage.
Honō will watch his teammate(s) to get familiar with their tells, thus
becoming more and more accurate in reading their intentions.

• Sleek Steps:
Due to his training in the Hari clan, Honō has no difficulty traversing slippery
surfaces, even over uneven terrain.

• Latticino Hands
Honō's work has gained him steady hands and the ability to perform minute,
detailed work. Finicky work, such as the setting up even the most intricate
traps, holds less trouble for him.

Weaknesses :
• Cracks:
Honō was never trained for proper combat, and as such has a tendency to
flee instead of fight, especially when out numbered. When hit with an attack,
his urge to flee only increases.

• Jewelled:
Honō's choice in clothing marks him out from other shinobi; restricting his
movements slightly and hindering most chances at stealth.

• Fragility:
Trained in his work instead of his responsibilities as a shinobi, Honō lacks
the strength most individuals garner from their everyday training.

Fears :
• Broken Shards:
Knowing he isn't the most skilled shinobi in the village, Honō fears his
teammates will leave him behind if he fails to meet their expectations.

• Shattered:
Honō was never the strongest, or masculine, individual in Kumo. He fears
this makes him a target of assault; verbal or physical. Whenever he leaves
the workshop he is constantly anxious and alert of his surroundings,
misreading the words and reactions of the people around him to negatively
apply to him.

Class Disciplines :
• Legendary Smith
The user is able to gain a 5th title rank from every applicable smithing tree. 'Training' for Legendary takes 10 posts of crafting work, provides an additional 1 post off of crafting times, and gives a Grandmaster NPC (of the same area) for usage. In addition, any item solo crafted (without an npc helper) is non-reproducible by non-Legendary titled smiths.

• Balanced Master
Any jutsu learned can be paid for with either chakra, stamina, or a mix of the two. Any further chakra types are also subject to this. Recovery amounts for chakra and stamina are doubled while working, and working counts as relaxing.

• Lifetime Disciple
This discipline is for those wishing to gain from a lifetime master, never to be one themselves until their master is deceased. Gaining knowledge from over the course of their studies, the disciple will receive twice the benefits from each of their master's smithing trees (up to their completed titles), while in the living presence of them. After their master's death, they will successfully pass on a permanent, one-quarter of the benefit to their own Lifetime Disciple, if any. (round up to the nearest applicable number, as designated in the smithing thread)

• A Natural's Touch:
After long study and a certain knack at birth, Honō has what many people call a "natural talent" for creation of glass objects. Because of this, every third creation is exceptionally superb, granting a 50% increase to profits made from that item.

• Black Glass Mentality:
Honō's years of training with Katon [ Fire ] jutsu and glassmaking and mainpulation jutsu has helped him learn a deeper understanding of volcanic glass. As such, his experiments with enchanting any volcanic glass with Gellal has been cut by half.

• Uncanny Aim:
Preferring to create and maintain distance between himself and the enemy, Honō has spent a considerable amount of time crafting range weapons, especially throwing weapons. From this he finds himself creating double the expected number every second attempt without the extra cost of material or time.

Houtarou bumped on through the crowd, a frown on his lips as he made his way. The snow-haired boy wasn't used to going out and about, mostly sticking to the Hari clan estate, locked in his room while he either played games or studied. Since he was of mixed blood due to his father being of Jinton heritage, he had immense potential to go out and do something with his power, however the boy was never too interested in the Shinobi lifestyle. For one, he knew his natural "talent" wouldn't make him many friends, then secondly he wanted to travel the world one day. Being under the employment of a village would limit that dream greatly. He was okay with wasting his natural-born talent on non-combat aspirations. Besides, it didn't go completely to waste, since even if he wasn't seen much outside of his room it didn't mean he never trained at all. Alas, as it was then, the boy had been forced out of the house for the day since his mom found out that over the last few days, he'd been sneaking up the side of the house with the wall walking technique to pick off her windowside garden. She was growing certain plants and flowers that he read about in a medical textbook, and the boy wanted to see if he could make any remedies. Taking them in a way that was undeniably stealing though peeved her when she caught onto a familiar scent emanating from his room. As punishment, he was made to leave the estate for awhile and go to the village flower shop to replace what he took. With his own money. For the woman who birthed me to subject me to such a cruel fate, surely she must be a demon masquerading in flesh, this unbearable outside heat undoubtedly being my hell." He murmured to himself, quite poetically in fact, but that was merely how he liked to speak. Being an introvert of sorts led to him not following a social norm of communication, so he spoke in a way that he simply found to be fun. Although that also meant Houtarou didn't spend much time speaking with other people, he filled that void with his family, games, and studying.

In terms of his choice in clothing, he enjoyed things that looked cool. His current attire was all black, combining nicely with his white hair and blue eyes. A soft looking shirt with a cowl around the neck,a drawstring as well. It was obviously meant to be used for a more...cold time, which to be fair his room was usually all but freezing, but he was handily ejected out of the house before he could change. Along with the shirt were dark harem pants and some boots that he luckily had enough time to throw on. Of course, it wouldn't be a very Hokori-like thing to have clothes without a certain oddity. The cowl he wore was littered with details, from kanji to complex images that someone must've labored over carefully to tailor. Along with that was the adornment he wore on his head, one he created himself with iron sand before tempering it. The object mentioned made it look like he had pretty, small antlers that reflected the light of the sun in an aesthetically pleasing way. All that leads up to the mention of another waste. With an appearance that was so easy on the eyes, his reclusive ways led to him making next to no friends, not to mention any potential lovers.

Lost in his thoughts whilst cradling the flowers and seeds he brought with him from the shop, he was only interrupted by the sound of a crash then laughter. His eyes following the sounds, he was just tall enough to see the situation. What was initially a fair bit of worry, turned to a more than moderate amount of anger. One of the reasons he didn't associate himself with others was basically on display, watching as people laughed and murmured rather than helped someone up. As he began pushing threw the people making their way along the plaza path he was on, the sight opened up more to him, revealing not only a person who fell, but a certain cousin who fell. While that doubled his worry, it tripled his anger, and he found himself shoving though a small group of men making some remarks on the situation rather than happening.
"Waste of space..." He murmured the words, and it was enough to have his arm grabbed. "What was that?" came a less than pleased voice behind him, and Houtarou was just irked enough to bother returning the irritation with interest. Yanking his arm back, he turned around to face the older man, noticeable black circles forming around his eyes, a sign that occurred when a Jinton user was building up chakra. "These lips of mine didn't stutter when berating the fool with cheap sake-scented breath. I only wish that the fool would throw a punch, so I can show him what it's like to be alone, laughed at, made fun of, just like the boy over there, who actually pours blood and sweat into the village." Several small things happened at that moment. Firstly, the man who intially grabbed him had averted his eyes to Hono's form for a moment, able to barely catch the sight of a village headband. Secondly, Houtarou broke out in a mild sweat, unaware to why he had actually said all that, since even if he was talented, starting a fight in the middle of a crowd could go no way but badly. Third, nearby walkers had begun getting...shifty, and it was likely that one person would end up reporting the situation. That seemed to be grasped by the two men standing next to the antagonist of the situation, putting their hands on his arms to calm him, bring him back a step or so. Fourth? Relief. The words "he's not worth it" and "let's go" sounding like heaven-sent verses to his ears as the group started leaving.

Looking to the ground, he sighed, seeing that some of the packaged stems of flowers had been crushed, probably accidentally, since they fell out of his grip when his arm was grabbed. He figured he could still find some use out of them for Hono though...so he picked up the package and jogged over to his cousin, crouching down in front of the taller boy. Hey, umm...are you okay, Hono?
" He asked softly, offering a hand to the other Hokori. Honestly, given the nice size of the estate and them not being direct family, Houtarou didn't really spent much time with the notoriously shy, gentle boy. Which, to be fair, he didn't spend much time with anyone. Their parents were related, which made them cousins, but other than the occasional long chat they never actually had the chance to get along like family. "I have some things here that I can ground into medicine...come on, lets go somewhere without so many eyes. "

Honō Hokori
[ "A supplement to all others, yet weak on its own." ]

So it was witnessed...
Honō's anxiety and the fresh adrenaline rushing through him made him hyper-aware of everything being said and all the movements around him, meaning he heard the tone of someone's words being aggressive - had he splashed the water onto someone?! Had he just ruined someone's day? Honō looked up but the flow of the crowd showed that anyone who had been touched by the water had moved on - only dry feet in his view. But the aggressive tone - Honō could still hear it - to his left? Honō tried to stand, but the pain in his knees shocked him into fumbling and the loose, spilling fabric of his hakama sent him back down to the ground. A hand went out to balance him, the sensitive skin again shaved against the pavement, the bruise there tenderised further... and someone probably saw him make a fool of himself once again, didn't they... Slowly, deliberately, Honō began using his abused hands to sort out his clothes and make sure he could stand properly without making even more of a spectacle of himself. Were people watching him? Were they still whispering about him? Out of the corner of green eyes, Honō saw someone approaching - but were they really? Were they actually approaching him? If Honō looked up, and they weren't paying any attention to him (or it was just in pity) he'd put them into such an awkward- Honō blinked at the person crouched in front of him, green eyes blank in shock and body still.

"Houtarou...!" Honō gasped. One of his many cousins were here - and Houtarou of all of them. It was so rare to see him on the Hari estate, much less outside of it. Their close relation by blood meant they shared many similarities in appearance, but Houtarou would always be the one to wear it all with so much more grace and poise than Honō could ever imagine. "Ah," Honō blinked and looked down at himself once more, gingerly arrnging himself onto his bruised knees to bow to his cousin. "I'm so sorry - I've cause such a scene..." He apologized. Upon lifting his head back up, Honō noticed the abused flower stems. "Ah, the poor things - " Honō looked up to Houtarou's amazingly blue eyes. "I'll be fine, but the least I can do is help them." He smiled softly, still shy. "They're lovely, it would be a shame if they weren't able to stand in their vase and show themselves." Green eyes suddenly widened, as though in panic, and he bowed his head again. "I'm sorry - that was out of place of me. I didn't mean to be so dismissive of your concern, Houtarou." Honō's head lifted slightly, eyes still hidden under his silver hair. "Uhm, I'm afraid I do not know this area very well..."

Houtarou blinked in surprise when Honō's first reaction to their meeting was to bow down and apologize. That look of surprise was replaced by a soft smile though, eyes gentle for his cousin. It would've been strange for anyone else, but that was really just how Honō was when it came down to it. Taking his time, he let the other boy speak, shaking his head at some point in response to his cousins next apology. "Jeez, you can be frustratingly adorable sometimes, cousin. Now...get up, Honō. I got a place in mind, and unfortunately for you, you can't remain prostrated in a bow the whole way over." Keeping his hand out until Honō either took it or got up on his own, Houtarou would continue waiting for the other boy to get his bearings before walking back in the direction of the flower shop. It was the only place he could think of, after all. If the shinobi of the group didn't know a good place, then the recluse certainly didn't either, except for the only other somewhat quiet place he'd been to.

"The flower shop isn't far from here, I can just buy some new ones there and use these ones to heal you...and please, it would really be my pleasure, I insist. I actually want to see how well I can make a remedy, and this is as good a chance I'll get." It was all in all a very "Houtarou" thing to do. Ever since he was a kid, if he read about an interesting recipe, or different way to brew tea, he wouldn't rest until he tried it out for himself. His interest in medical remedies started around two years back, when his mother got increasingly sick. There was nothing he could do. A medical shinobi though, without the use of Eiseijutsu, ended up healing her through natural remedies. Never wanting such a sickening feeling of helplessness, he decided to learn what was needed.

"Now...walking with such an intriguing person, my mind has been filled with curiosities, with a thousand regrets lying in wait should I not ask the tales of my beloved cousin, the full fledged Shinobi" He asked in his strange way of speaking, sincerely curious, his interest in things foreign to his life showing through brightly. In his mind, he thought it was pretty damn cool that Honō could step up to the plate like that, since Houtarou knew that he never could. Not that he didn't have the talent, because he did, but there was...a larger piece missing. One he lacked, but his cousin had in spades whether he realized it or not.

A strong difference in particular? What Houtarou had in talent, Honō made up for in an ability he couldn't fathom: He could worm his way into any heart. His cousin could make true friendships.

Honō Hokori
[ "A supplement to all others, yet weak on its own." ]

So it was witnessed...
Honō blinked, the heat in his cheeks turning from humiliation to a subtle, gentler type of embarrassment. 'Frustratingly adorable?' Was that... a term of endearment born from familiarity or was it tinged with some type of exasperation and meant as a hint to inform of a needed correction to his behaviour or - Honō blinked, his mind a whirlwind and the uncertainty hinted at on his face but he barely hesitated to take Houtarou's hand. He was mindful not to let the filth of the ground and his own wound touch his cousin's skin or clothes. Upright, Honō quickly fixed his clothing to sit appropriately before giving a thankful smile to the blue-eyed male. "Oh!" Honō exclaimed; he had recalled the items he had borrowed from the village supplies. "Apologies - one second while I..." An apologetic smile as the Genin sidestepped Houtarou and retrieved the spilled bucket, the bottle of cleaning agent, and the brush. "... just grab what I borrowed..." Did he bow too much? Had it become such a defensive mechanism that it upset those around him...? Ah, but Honō should think on those another time - it wouldn't do to disrespect and neglect his rarely seen cousin so! Honō quickly used the small hand-held brush to sweep away the spilled water to wash the paint freshly scrubbed from the walls down a drain. While doing so, Honō tried to not neglect his cousin's favour.

"You are practicing herbal medicine, cousin Houtarou?" Honō politely inquired, crouching down to sweep the water down the drain. "I recall a member of our family mentioning such a thing some time ago - how are you finding it?" He asked, nimble fingers flicking the brush at the grate to rid it of excess water. The genin's eagerness to hear of an activity that Houtarou may be enjoying was clear in his voice and his lit-up expression. Standing to his full height, Honō quietly picked up the bucket, the cleaning agent held inside, and placed the brush in as well. Ready, he thanked Houtarou with a gentle word and matching smile once again.

Houtarou led their direction through the crowd, Honō a shoulder-width behind so as to be polite to the people in the crowd. Carefully, and with the sleeves still rolled up onto his shoulders, Honō's bare arms were held straight and down in front of himself, holding the bucket low and out of the way of everyone.

"M-myself?" Honō blinked. "Oh," He blinked, not quite sure what to say. "It is..." The Genin paused, the words hard to grasp. "My teammates and sensei have been very supportive of me. And Advisor Wanryoku, as well. If it weren't for them, I do not think I would have made half as much progress." He began, words still slow to come. Green eyes looked to blue, ensuring he had permission to continue. "They guided me through my first mission outside the village. It was... frightful. I..." Honō frowned, head lowered in guilt in shame. "I think I nearly failed them, in the mission. At one point. That I was going to die. But... Miko sensei's words guided me. And Soraru kun's clone physically brought me to safety. I still... have much to learn." Honō shook his head upon realising how selfish he was being right then and looked to Houtarou with an apologetic smile. Again. "Apologies - I should not burden you so with my concerns. It was selfish of me. Truly - the overall experience has been... enlightening." He gave a small windchime of a laugh; barely there and almost lost in the noise of the lunch-time crowd. "I am glad I can help Kumogakure. If even in the little things." Honō blinked, the joy leaving his face for worry once more. "Was that... too much to say?" He pondered. Was it egotistical?

his urge to flee only increases.

• Jewelled:
Honō's choice in clothing marks him out from other shinobi; restricting his

"I like medicine so far, the best part of it all is that whatever I create can usually be used to help someone feel nice. It's like...cooking in a way, when I feel good inside if people enjoy what I make. Even if I mess up, I can always learn from my mistakes too." Houtarou made sure to wait while his cousin worked, smiling as he saw delicate hands putting in effort for the sake of their village. It's amazing that you don't see why people see such potential in you...but then again, it's not anything surface deep, and you've always been the best at examining your surroundings but not what lies so far beneath them. Houtarou kept a warm smile on his lips as his cousin followed him through the crowd, making sure to focus his hearing to pinpoint the voice of the other Hokori rather than the cacophony of voices that were walking along the same path. When Honō did get to speaking it seemed to take the boy a moment to find the right words he wanted to use in response. He ended up speaking of all the support he was getting through both his team and even the village advisor. Hearing a pause in the boys voice, Houtarou turned his head to see Honō gazing for what was likely approval, resulting in a nod of affirmation.

He listened to his cousin go on about everything that happened, how his teammates Soraru and Miko helped him out on the last mission he was on. The apologetic smile he followed up with only helped Houtarou understand the situation further, and he grinned when Honō continued. When he laughed...when he dropped the thousands of traditions and disciplines placed upon him for a moment to show some genuine emotions. It did happen from time to time with the Shinobi, but it was a moment that Houtarou and surely others enjoyed.
"Too much? Heheh...that's so like you, Honō. I...don't say it enough, but I really do enjoy talking to our family, especially you like this. It's just hard for me. I find...difficulty in speaking to others, because in talking too long I tend to accidentally insult or perhaps even annoy others. At the same time, I love hearing the perspectives and thoughts of other people, to the point where I'm actually a little jealous, that you're a Shinobi now, with a team and so many new friends you'll meet. So of course that wasn't too much, Honō. It could never be. To some extent, I believe that hearing you talk about anything will be enough for me." Houtarou did look a bit downcast as he talked about his flaws, but thinking that his words may somehow help Honō down the line was enough to keep his smile. Even then, talking so much at once, expressing his thoughts like that, it was a lot for him. He was pretty sure that in any other situation, speaking that many words, he would've certainly said something which would accidentally hurt or irritate someone else.

As he spoke that spiel, the flower shop came into view, and by the time he finished he was at the door, his hand on the handle, looking back at Honō.
"Was that...too much to say?" He spoke in a way that meant to both tease his cousin and show affection at the same time, opening the door after and letting the smell of flowers overwhelm them.

Honō Hokori
[ "A supplement to all others, yet weak on its own." ]

So it was witnessed...
Honō smiled to his cousin, eyes beaming from the second hand joy he could feel from Houtarou's experiences in learning. "I wasn't aware - you enjoy cooking as well? And you make it sound so... no, I should say, the way you word it, you make it sound so much more fulfilling than I had previously thought of it." Honō's smile brightened just a touch more beyond his usual shy reservation. "I hope to take on such a positive view of our world, cousin Houtarou. Thank you." The taller Hari clan member bows his head in a small, respectful manner. He still did his best to not cause any issues as they walked, so his eyes remained open, and the bow was as short lived as was respectful. His height helped in not bumping into anyone. Green eyes blinked and gave a small, shy smile to his handsome cousin - it was Houtarou's turn, it now seemed, to talk. Houtarou enjoyed talking to Honō... like 'this?' Like... in... public?

Honō blinked, face blank in confusion while still listening, trying to gather in every word his rarely-seen cousin gifted him with. Oh! Houtarou preferred the relaxed atmosphere outside of their family compound, perhaps? But Houtarou was a good person - Honō could see that in his recent actions - taking time out of his day to tend to the Genin's minor wounds. And if it meant letting Houtarou practice something he enjoys, then Honō was even more grateful to be chosen so for the interaction. But how does Honō say all of this? To comfort Houtarou that Honō would always be willing to listen, but not be so... conceited about it. It couldn't just be Honō to listen to him - that would selfish, if not restrictive if... he didn't have the words to explain this properly in his own head, much less to Houtarou himself. Instead, with moisture in his eyes and a grin barely held back into a respectfully sized smile, Honō looked to his cousin.

"Thank you." He bowed again. "Cousin Houtarou." Green eyes looked back up to blue. "If I... if you would ever need anything of me... I know, that you are strong and skilled enough to do so much already. To say you value what I have said, it really does mean a lot to me." Honō swallowed, eyes flickering down in uncertainty. They were outside the flower shop now, and Houtarou was kind enough to take the door and open the way. Honō shook his head. "Never, cousin Houtarou. I just..." Honō bit his lip. "I wish I had the words to comfort you," He spoke, voice soft and sullen. "Through your own troubles. To repay your kindness - surely I can do this much for you..."

]Houtarou sighed in an exasperated albeit happy way, smiling at the gentler boy. "I don't need words, Honō, I've never been the best at exchanging them for too long anyways. I just...want to see do your best, and grow into a wonderful Shinobi for me." He told his cousin, his voice gentle and not too assertive, not wanting Honō to believe that Houtarou wanted him to change, but instead wanted him to grow and better himself. The bowing, the apologies, they tainted the image of a sweet heart. Perhaps it was due to his own social shortcomings, but Houtarou felt worse when someone as pure as his cousin gave those gestures towards him. He's become so used to such a nature that he grows assumptuous of what others think of him. He believes that his actions that are considered normal are "too" free. Or perhaps...I'm the one assuming too much. That's where it becomes so difficult to help you, cousin. You don't need to worry for me in return.

Once they were inside, Houtarou walked to the front desk, a small bit of pink on his pale features. It was embarrassing to say the least, coming back not five minutes after leaving a store to buy replacements for what one just purchased. Once he re-placed his order on what his mother wanted, he called out to one of the workers who weren't getting the supplies. "Is it okay for me to use one of your ovens or stations? My cousin has some cuts and scrapes, I want to use the broken supplies in an ointment, since it doesn't have much other use at this point." Once he received the go-ahead on his request, he turned back to Honō with an excited smile, prepared to work on a medication for the other boys wounds. "Just sit down and I'll have something whipped up for you soon." The words he spoke were definitely more energetic than the others he had spoken up to that point, showing that there was likely a true passion in what he was doing.

The flower shop wasn't anything large. A few stools that lined the front desk area, with the work station behind it. While flowers littered the area along with purchasable books on remedies, the back held the supplies for making such delights. Potions, remedies, even poisons that were on sale only for registered Shinobi. There were a few speakers on the ceiling which usually played what was on radio whenever there weren't requests, the current song being a fairly upbeat one that was studio produced and edited. The voice singing had been changed in tone and edited for the purpose of style throughout the song, though moments of clear clarity could be heard at some points. In terms of the scents of the scenery, it was exactly what one would expect from a flower shop. Pleasantry strong, and revitalizing even to some extent.

The stove wasn't in use and Houtarou got to using the double broiler at the top of it, heating it up as he began to dice both the petals and roots of the flowers he unfortunately destroyed. If his cousin was sitting on the stool, they'd definitely be in seeing and talking distance of one another in case one had questions or just something to say.

Honō Hokori
[ "A supplement to all others, yet weak on its own." ]

So it was witnessed...
Honō's body remained still, but green eyes flinched down and away at his cousin's sigh, mind immediately whipping the teller Hari clan member with the all-too familiar accusation of 'you did it wrong. Again.' And with that mind set so quickly and firmly clasped around the front of his mind as a leech's three-ringed maw to a meal, the beginning sentance of Houtarou's words of comfort were tinged by the imagined exasperation draped over their meaning.

"A..." Honō dared to glance up, but couldn't hold Houtarou's gaze. "wonderful shinobi?" He whispered, mostly to himself. What would that be? A saviour? A... killer? He'll have to kill now, doesn't he... no. It isn't a question of if, but when. A shaky inhalation of air and Honō tried to push the thoughts away. Focus on the now, on his cousin being kind enough to spend time to tend to his clumsiness and the kind employees allowing them to take up space in their shop, filled with lovingly cared for flowers. There were some that Honō had never seen before and he was eager to distract his mind with something else while his cousin spoke to the person behind the counter and leaving Honō with his troubling thoughts. Honō, however, would smile at Houtarou when asked to sit and await his return, doing his best not to appear as disturbed as he was. Left at the front of the store, Honō was inclined to do as asked, but green eyes kept getting caught by flowers he had never seen before and the way their petals were shaped and sprouting from their central stem. It was inspiring architecture that Honō wished his mind was sharp enough to remember accurately enough to recreate. Recreate in what... he wasn't sure he could say. He just had this notion in his mind that the best crafts workers just remembered everything they saw and inspired them and that is what made them great. Well, helped make them great.

There were a few display books as well - would one have dissections of flowers like biology books on animals? That would be so useful as a reference, wouldn't it? But green eyes only brushed over the books he saw on his way to the nearest seat placed out of everyone's way, including the employees and any interesting stock customers may want to look over. It was calming, though. The store was peaceful, the rhythm of the employees relaxed. The colours and scents of the flowers were much nicer to the mind and eyes than the harsh lines of outside. Honō could almost say he could relax in here. Almost. Houtarou was close, though, with the counter separating them. Not knowing what to do or say, green eyes watched their blue-eyed cousin work.

__ Ada would arrive atop the structure known as the Kumogakure Tower. The plaza located on the tower was a well known spot for gatherings and meetings of various occasion. However, it was a little odd to hear about crimes like petty thievery occurring even somewhat often in a place like this. She would quietly scan her surroundings while staying somewhat close to Selina.

They hadn't yet earned their badges, so perhaps it was to their advantage that they wouldn't be easily identified as police recruits. "Selina..." Ada whispered to her partner, "The mouse we're looking for was most often seen wearing a red hoodie. The only other thing we can keep an eye out for is a tattoo that resembled some kind of playing card symbol." There wasn't much info on their suspect, sadly, but Ada figured their training as ninja would help make up for the difference.

__Selina smiled as the two reached the top of the kumogakure tower. She listened for the description that Ada gave. She was disappointed that no actual animals were involved in this mission, but she accepted that it was time to be a magical girl and fight crime. Red hoodie, tattoo. That sounded easy enough!

....This was not easy. After an hour into the mission, Selina felt exhausted. Where was this person? A shadow clone formed as Selina remained in her boredom. When it returned, the copy of Selina brought coffee and donuts. She thanked herself.

"Snack break!" Selina chimed as she handed a donut to Ada, as well as a coffee. Selina made hers with extra sugar and extra cream. She wasn't sure how the more mature woman would like it, so she got her black. As she finished a sip of her coffee, however, she nearly spat it out. Not only because of the fact that the coffee was much hotter than she anticipated, but also because the enemy revealed itself.

Selina watched as the man in the red hoodie showed up. He was hunched over as she subtly passed some sort of package to another citizen. This one looked more masculine, with clear muscles uncovered by sleeves and a very strong jaw line. It was time to spring to action!

"I got the red hoodie guy. When I do, the other one will probably want to run." She said with a smile. Before Ada could say anything, however, Selina began to sing.

"Painting the hills, the flowers arise~
They'll bloom away, and pierce through the sky~
Combine with wishes we will all ignite~
A world, renewed and warm, which was bathed in, the light~"

Chakra was channeled through her angelic voice. The chakra was molded by her song and allowed her to create a proper ninjutsu. This technique was of her own design, as it created various thorn covered vines from out of the ground which completed bounded the red hoodie fool, with five flowers blooming from various places of the vines. The other one went wide eyed with the technique and tried to use a D-ranked water ninjutsu to sever the vines. This caused all of the vines to disappear and for the red hoodie fellow to be electrocuted to the point of unconsciousness. "Whoops..." Selina said through gritted teeth. "Maybe I shouldn't have used that type of binding technique. Who knew the other guy try to help out?" She asked with a forced chuckle as one hand scratched the back of her head. The other one then made a bee line for it as Selina looked at Ada. "Maybe you should handle that one? I don't think using another Will of the Roses is a smart idea."

__ Ada quietly kept an eye on their surroundings while Selina made her clone. She wasn't really hungry or thirsty, so it didn't bother her in the least that none was offered by her partner. Moreover, she was also getting a little annoyed by how long it was taking to find this suspect. This wasn't supposed to be a stakeout mission.
** KPD Mission - Cat and Mouse [ ONGOING | 3/5 Posts ]

Selina suddenly became alert. This drew Ada's attention to where her partner was looking. It didn't take long at all for her to also see the suspicious exchange between their target and a new piece to this game. Sure enough, after Selina caught the main target the other suspect would take off after failing to free his accomplice. Ada leapt into action right away to give chase. "Stop! KPD! This is your only warning!" Of course, who would stop just because of something like that when they knew they were guilty of something shady?
** KPD Mission - Cat and Mouse [ ONGOING | 4/5 Posts ]

Just as the larger, more masculine figure attempted to run around a corner into an alley Ada unleashed a magnetic field that would pull on all the jewelry she noticed him wearing. The watch on his wrist, the several necklaces around his neck, his belt buckle, as well as a few concealed weapons would end up dragging him off balance and throwing him into the ground toward his pursuer. With a flick of her wrist she would convert several of these metal items into a dust-like form briefly before another simple gesture reconstructed them into makeshift handcuffs. Ada huffed as she came to stand over the man, "You're under arrest." She said, in case it wasn't already clear that he was caught. Ada turned around to signal Selina to bring the guy with the hoodie while she took care of this other one. They'd head right back to headquarters to lock these two up and file their reports.
