Xandra yowled and took a swipe at the skull. The thing turned back to mist. It was a water-based apparition. Hmm...wait, was the shadow still there? She saw it still heading for the other feline guardian and tackled him out of the way of the thing, her shadow connecting with it instead of his.

Kojo's voodoo doll glowed blue and transformed into a blue cat. "Damn it...." He said sadly. "Oh well...." he said simply. "Hmm...." He said thinking. "Well my powers won't work as well..but the shadows have connected. "I can do minor stuff...i need a piece of the blue cat."
Luca shrugged. "We can get it later...." He said as he blew the candles out and packed them away. "Besides....we can still use the doll." He said smirking. "Lunch time Kojo..." He said as the two headed towards the cafeteria

"Ow...What was that for?!" Yu said as he got back up on his feet, not noticing the shadow that was after him.
Koyuki had noticed the other distraction, but had not noticed the shadow. 'I smell a rat...Think I know what little creepy doll is behind all this. Yu, apologize. She might have just saved you.' She thought to the two of them before turning her attention to Xandra. 'Are you alright?' She wasn't quite sure what happened or would happen, but she didn't want others to get hurt because of her.

Xandra stepped back off of Yu and shook her head like she was shaking off water. She blinked a couple times and looked at the girl who'd just spoken in her head. "Um, yeah, I think so..." she said. She'd felt the shadow connect with her own shadow, but she didn't quite know what'd happened when it did so.

'Oh right, sorry. I'm a telepath and I can't speak.' Koyuki explained when she noticed her somewhat confused/surprised reaction.
"Alright, where are they? I gotta teach them a lesson so they can stop bothering us!" Yu said, looking around as his fur stood on edge.

Zil watched the commotion, not knowing what was going on as well with Koyuki. He then got up and kneeled down to the two guardians. "You two alright? Mind if I check?", he said. He got out two paper talismans and stuck one on the back of each of them. Nothing happened to the one on Yu while the one on Xandra began to burn and disintegrate although it did not affect Xandra's fur. "Hmm... Looks like a cursing shadow or a spirit possessor. Not sure which", he muttered, thinking of how it could be gotten rid of. He sighed, having forgotten how exactly. He'd have to get his book to know.

Xandra yowled and arched her back, smelling the smoke from the burning talisman. When it was gone, she hissed and licked her back where the paper had been, smoothing down her fur.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys
A single footstep behind Kojo and Luca could be heard as it seemed that the air around them had become much denser. "Now then children what pray tell are you playing at with such minor magic" a dark voice questioned as a hand laid upon Luca's shoulder. A massive chill would be felt thru the boy's body quickly followed by quick heatwave behind it before his temp would return to normal. Behind him Kael stood with Amaterasu standing next to him neither looking to pleased with what they were seeing was going on.
Simply standing where he was at Kai had only watched Xandra suddenly jump out of his hands and attack the other cat. She seemed tho after a moment to have been protecting him from something. What tho he didn't see tho from what he gathered from the other's words was that they seemed to know who was the one behind it. Kai as per was usual kept his distance only listening and waiting for Xandra to return to him on her own.
Is whether they use a human shield or make themselves one.

Luca chuckled. "Just practicing my trait,,," He said simply. "after all..I am a student of magic, I must study."
Reiko floated over to the others. "ah, you are wrong on both, young shaman." He said looking at Xandra. "you've been tagged by a voodoo shadow....that's bad." He said simply. "However...you weren't the target...so you're safe for now." He said as he floated on his brush and smiled.

"Should you want to continue that title being true within this school I would suggest you recall your shadow young one. Breaking these spells my own way have a tendency to reduce the caster to nothing more then a babbling vegetable afterwards" Kael said with a hint of a slightly sadistic smirk. Really it wouldn't but playing with the boy a bit wouldn't be to bad of a thing to do anyways he preferred to have the kid revert what he had done rather then do it himself anyways.

Luca smiled. "I cannot...." he said simply. "I can tell seeing as how your guardian is a god of light, shadows do not listen well to you...especially voodoo shadow, the only way i could remove the shadow is by killing the victim. I command the dead you see...." He said as a skull appeared in his head. "You are ht partner of the great Okami amaterasu.....you do it." He said simply before puling away and walking towards the school
Kojo snickered. "silly light deity....You have no right to order us voodoo spirits around. Our world is out of your jurisdiction." He said laughing.

"Children need to learn to be better at keeping to there places" Kael sighed as he snapped his fingers several skulls appearing around Luca as they all chatted towards him laughing about before suddenly shooting off towards where the shadow had been sent. This boy thought of himself far far to highly and Kael for one didn't like that. Second while his Guardian if he could call her that was the goddess of light he himself was a being of darkness. Looking at Luca for a moment Kael shook his head as he walked towards where his skulls had gone to. He intended at this moment to be a little bit darker then he would normally and simply eradicate the end result of the curse by pulling what ever soul might have been used and devouring it. The essences it would give off was likely to atleast give him enough energy to supplement what he had spent in the earlier battle.
Is whether they use a human shield or make themselves one.
