Fortunately the country was in the middle of a drought and the rain was thought to be a blessing

Unfortunately it brought an overgrowth of weeds.

Unfortunately the weeds were poisonouse and anyone who ate them became very ill and could die eek

Fortunately the weeds were only noxious to the people with the acutely rare weedsomfgnoweedsinmysoupplxkthx disease.

unfortunately that disease was spread worldwide and defiled all the food.

Fortunately there was a cure

Unfortunately, acquiring the items to attain the cure antidote meant a massive worldwide massacre and extinction of half the animal and plant species.

Unfortunately some of it was true and dragons roamed the land setting fire to houses and people
