Rina attempted to drown out the sound of the other genin as they spoke, trying to make it akin to ambient noise as she was certain anything said was going to be bad news for her brother. She kept her focus and attention completely on her squad leader, she wasn't a fan of groups in the first place and this one was already far too large for her tastes however she decided to see it through to the best of her ability, for the sake of the village and her future as a kunoichi within it. Still it was hard to keep her focus on the jounin when so much commotion was beginning to arise around her, she could barely keep herself from stopping her brother and their squad member from getting at each others throats but she decided playing damage control could only go so far. She wasn't her brothers scapegoat and if he wished to cause himself trouble she wouldn't let it become her grief every time just because she was the elder of the two and he was her responsibility.

Her blank expression turned to a scowl for a brief moment as Satoshi began to speak out of turn again, his view on teamwork was rather obscure and seemed more volatile and akin to assault on their squad members than anything. His aggressive nature coupled with his ego seemed a bit much for everyone surrounding them, he was boastful and quick to speak his mind which was something that quickly got him in sticky situations. Her frown faded quickly as she shook her head at him "Satoshi..." she warned, quietly from her place at his side. He was being very childish at the moment, he would just bring the worst out of his fellow squad members if he wasn't careful, she wasn't sure how many of her teammates were mature enough to handle this situation correctly, she only prayed it wouldn't get out of hand from here. The Aburame seemed less than likely to let this kind of behavior slide, however Rina wouldn't intervene if the two of them needed to settle something right off the bat- it was better to get the tension out of the way early on. Still this seemed to be neither the time of place for resentment among the ranks, she hoped they could settle things civilly and move on.

Once her brother was finished Rina approached the weapon and laid a hand upon it. She was quiet for a long time unsure of what exactly the word 'team' actually meant to her personally. After many moments she decided it had no particular meaning, not in her case- it was very straightforward. She sighed deeply before opening her mouth and giving a very generic but honest answer to the question asked of them. "A team is a group working together for a common goal" once she finished speaking she stepped away from the weapon and attempted to blend into the shadows once more, not wanting to draw any unwanted attention even if her brother seemed to do so for her. Even when he was stealing it all for himself he still managed to drag her into the mess, if she had any true emotion she might've even blushed when he told the other two not to speak with her, it was bothersome to have someone so outgoing attached to her when all she wished to do was disappear herself. She only hoped this was over with quickly at this point, she could feel the eyes as they bore into her, it was unsettling knowing she was in the crosshair of others, she never knew exactly what other people were thinking- the uncertainty of it made her uneasy.

Osamu Sasori Aburame

Kumogakure // Genin / D-Rank // Medical / Taijutsu // Aburame Clan // Katon/ Doton // Chakra: 400 / 400 // Stamina: 325 / 325 // Insects (Body): 1000 / 1000 // Insects (Gourd) 1500

Osamu listened to what Wanryoku said, nodding, he had a point in a way, when Fang started shooting his mouth off again. Rolling his eyes at the other genin, Osamu followed the group outside where he would see the massive wrecking ball that Wanryoku called a weapon, and kind of chuckle a bit ‘That’s one hell of a weapon…’ he’d think to himself as he watched the smart-mouth genin Fang and his sister follow what their sensei had said to do. It was finally Osamu’s turn, so he walked forward and placed his palm on the large steel ball, a few of his kikaichu crawling out of his hand to inspect the strange object as he spoke, “A team’s a group of people with a common goal that work together to amplify each other’s strength and cover for each other’s weak points.. at least in the ideal sense.”

Osamu would then call his bugs back and remove his hand from the weapon before returning to stand near the rest of the group, turning and giving a quick smile to the female and the other body who had introduced himself as Yuto. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to ignore you two earlier, I’m Osamu, it’s good to meet you two Rina, Yuto.” He’s say with a slight smile as he waited for the last genin to go and for his sensei to say whatever it was he wanted to after.

"Be the fly on the wall…..strike like a nest of hornets."

..........Following his team he listened to Wan as he gave them an order to preform. Then his eyes fell upon the wreaking ball that he had seen earlier when he first met Wan. Listing to the annoying loud mouth of Fang he shook his head and simply shrugged off the attempt to get a rise out of him. Then came the female whose idea of a team was almost text book. It was almost like she didn't care at all about what a team really was. Last came Osamu who seemed to be the most like his brother. He was calm collective and also had a kind of air around him that made him seem superior though in Yuto's mind he hadn't proved that yet. Making his way over to the large weapon he placed his hand on it and thought for a moment. Looking back at his team he thought about everything they had said as well as his past. With a long deep breath he spoke, A team is a group working towards a common goal would be correct like Rina and Osamu had said. However, my ideals on a team is quiet different. To me it means that we are a family that lives together to watch each others back. Without trust in each and everyone here we wont succeed. We are a team ordered to work together by the Raikage himself, and as much as some of us don't like the others we can't ignore our orders. So like every family that is out there, we need to look past our feeling and strive towards the common goal of our leader and the Raikage. If we don't we will all become just a waste of flesh and skin that is used to soil the ground we walk on. That is what a team is to me Wan. With that Yuto fell silent his hand still upon the massive weapon as memories of his brother came to his mind and his anger at his own weakness began to boil. Clenching his fist he took a deep breath and looked at his team and his leader. I will protect my new family and make sure nothing happens to them like what happened to my mother. was the only thought to run through his mind as he forced himself to calm down.

    Since Wan had moved, Samuru figured he was free to do what he needed...only the room he was in had a back door and it appeared that the group was standing right behind it. That meant the group of genin that had come to the giant was also near Samuru..and he could hear everything. This was a fact that was giving the young jounin a small panic attack but since they didn't seem to notice him for now, he was able to stave off the issue and focus on his puppets. Granted, just because they hadn't noticed him sitting on the floor a foot or so behind Wan's position, it didn't mean that Samuru wasn't listening. Using his remaining arm and hand, he gripped his hip and lifted it so he could slide his right foot under it and leaned over to begin a cursory examination of the puppet limbs. Most had rotted smoothly off and he gripped the left arm, lifting it slightly as he heard an irritating and arrogant statement from from behind him.

    Turning, he peeked out the open door, since he was sitting on the floor, and eyed the group of genin. The bandage covering most of the left side of his upper face and eye was a contrast to the dark hair and blended in with his pale skin. His right eye blinked at the boy who had spoken, a curious little person with dark red/brown hair "..." he leaned back in, going back to what he was doing 'The ability to read is not indicative of age.' No but arrogance is. 'Oh, are you speaking to me again?' The arm is going to be awkward until we get to the forge. 'Yes but it will do to help us up.' Amiti's comments were helpful but snide. Using his teeth to pull hold the edge of the arm, Samuru adjusted a part and the remaining shoulder fell away, revealing a smooth slightly ball-and-socket set up from inside the porcelain. He had never intended to use his puppets in this manner but one does what one must when one becomes a temporary paraplegic "Strings..." he muttered only to be distracted again, this time by a girl's voice and another boy. Leaning out again, the puppet arm resting on his bare chest, he eyed the girl who had been introduced at some point by the small rude one. She had interesting eyes, reminding him of another girl, but he shied away from that thought She left us. Samuru didn't dignify Amiti's comment with a reply, twisting slightly so he could see the other person. In doing so, he fell slightly and threw his right arm out, shaking the jacket he had over his shoulders loose. His left arm was entirely gone, only smooth scars and a slight indention where his shoulder would have been remaining.

    He rather approved of the other boy's remarks but, again, once he got a look at the three, shoved back up to continue his work. Using his right hand as an anchor, Samuru pulled his chakra into a set of strings and sent them to the arm. For a few minutes, he just animated it, making the fingers twitch and form a fist, flex and release. As he worked, the jacket fell all the way off and the tattoo that spread over his back stood out slightly, his skin still pink from fighting infection. Reaching around and through the parts, he found a strap of leather that might have once been a belt but would do pretty well. Lifting and propping the arm again, he used his right hand and teeth to tie and secure the leather around the arm and then loop it around his neck. Using the loose strap to tighten it into his shoulder, he checked the feeling and manipulated the chakra strings to use the arm to lift his jacket. It was awkward but it worked out all right and he set the jacket on the floor. Aaaand now there was another one. This genin he couldn't see around Wan so Samuru just listened and realized it was the one who had thought he was a girl...You are slight-'Whatever you say, it means you too.'....he's wrong. So wrong. Not a girl. Grr. Samuru snorted sharply at that and reached for one of the legs, checking it and discarding it because it was a right. The issue with the leg was going to be that Samuru hadn't lost all of his left leg and still had most of his thigh. He'd have to modify some of the leg left over from his puppet...and he couldn't do that now. Sighing, happy had at least had another arm, Samuru carefully got his right leg under him and braced his hands forward. The click of the ceramic fingers and palm on the cool dojo floor was at odds with the silent pressure of his right hand. He pushed up, slipped his right leg under him and stood, leaning back to get his balance. A sudden outburst from the rude boy startled him, though, and he twisted to look and only fell back, out the door stumbling and right into Wan with a startled noise "Oh. Sorry, Wan." he said, trying not to slide down the giant's back.

    Well...he'd started to talk so he might as well finish "Hold on." bending forward, he managed to snag the crutch, right near the door, that Wan had brought with him and got it under his now puppeteered left arm. Manipulating the chakra strings, which looked like a thin line of fire wrapped around the arm, the hand closed sharply on the crutch. Twisting around and hopping so he could stand beside Wan, leaning on the crutch, Samuru eyed the group of genin "..." after a moment, he looked at the arrogant boy "You're being insulting." he said quietly, his single blue/brown eye focused and empty "Not to Wan, he doesn't care. But you're treating your sister like an item, your teammates as enemies and its irritating. It will also get you killed..." he looked at the girl, the sister, and frowned "I don't know if you're sick or if he's merely overprotective but if he's so concerned about you being around other people, maybe you shouldn't be a shinobi." as for the other two, he merely bowed his head slightly to them "I'm sorry for interrupting." Samuru glanced up at Wan "I will teach you how to read." he said firmly, his irritation clear Why? What does this matter in the long run? 'You're going to destroy me.' Yes. 'Then I'm going to do what I want in the mean time. So SHUT UP.' Amiti went silent, a little stunned at Samuru's mental retort and Samuru straightened just slightly, his one-eyed attention on the group "Please do not insult Wan." There was no other comment or anything behind it. But he could easily destroy all their minds with a whim and a single genjutsu. And he could do it regardless of his current physical state. That was the best part about genjutsu and puppetry. He didn't have to move to destroy.

    -----{ I }t wasn't quite the words that mattered as much as the emotions behind them, though of course none of them would realize that. One boot upon an outstretched chain allowed Wanryoku to detect the emotions that coursed through their minds with each word that passed through their mouths. Except, of course, for Fang. That child was going to be a nuisance, yet as a child himself Wanryoku had been rather stubborn and bereft of anything even resembling decorum. To see it now in another, several times worse? It brought a feeling of euphoric irony. If only his trainer was alive now, and here, he would be poking fun at him, claiming this was simply just deserts for all of the Hel he had put his trainer through. Still, taking that into consideration, the boy was being somewhat worse of an a** than Wan had ever been, throwing insults and critiques as if he had all the power in the world and they just happened to have front row seats to his greatness. He insulted his sister more than any other, cutting her down to nothingness. It took all he had not to retaliate with well placed insults to bring the child down a whole mess of pegs. Doing so would have done nothing, only elevating the child's words to something worth even caring about.

    -----Then Rina took her turn, and oddly, Wanryoku found himself considering her deeper than perhaps he should have. Genin, fresh out of training, usually came in two types: the foolishly brave, or the foolishly cowed. Both, it seemed, were represented here, as per her quiet and graceful actions and his rather loud mouth. Yet something within her cold, impassive gaze spoke of something...else. Something he had no experience with, something he had no way of knowing how to handle. Something...deeper, writhing behind her eyes as she gazed at her brother with just a touch of scorn and more than a bit of concern. Intrigued, he awaited her words while sizing her up. Her physical body was obviously attractive, yet that wasn't what Wanryoku was looking for. Muscle definition, body fat, the gestures and stance of someone who knew the way of combat. These things were noticed, catalogued, and brought him to the realization that she was far from the wallflower facade she seemed so intent to give to others. More than her brother she would prove to be a struggle, for it would mean she needed to feet, to experience, and right now that path seemed closed to her. The answer alone told him all he needed to know of her knowledge of the world, and her blank emotions another.

    -----The other, Osamu, caught Wanryoku's attention with the expulsion of some sort of insect from his body, casting them across Zangai's surface as he answered his question. The boy seemed more intrigued by the nature of the weapon than his own answer, yet he spoke true of his thoughts and knowledge on what a team was. This was followed swiftly with him trying to make friends with the quiet, polite Rina and with Yuto. Odd that the latter, who swiftly gave his own answer, and the one Wanryoku had been looking for, proved to be rather rude in ignoring Osamu's offered greeting. Hopefully the former would not take this too seriously, lest this all spiral further out of control.

    -----What startled him was the movement at his back. The wall had not appeared to be a door, so when it opened and a rather haggard, and angry, Samuru poked his head out with a mechanical arm and leg attached, he almost shat himself. Instead, he remained completely neutral, as if not surprised at all. Wanryoku kept his cool. That Samuru decided now was a good time to speak up in his defense was perfect, and only served to increase the overall goodwill and friendship for the younger man. Eyes meeting Samuru's, a small smile crept onto his face just before a small nod was given as acceptance of not only his words, his promise, but the intent behind them. It was genuine, and filled with absolute warmth and compassion. Just as he retreated, however, before Wanryoku could even open his mouth to speak, a loud howling came from the large iron ball, a howling that came with it an intense sense of anger and dissappointment. Attention immediately snapping back to the group, to the here and now, he witnessed the giant sphere humming, shaking, and seeming to glow with an inner darkness. The howling was audible, loud, and intense, and the emotions were powerful enough to be tasted on the air.

    -----Reaching out and placing a palm calmly on the vibrating weapon, the giant patted it gently. Instantly the howling silenced, though the anger remained just as well. The emotions clearly coming from the weapon, it came with the sense that it was watching all of them at once. Chuckling lightly, the Jounin's nonplussed expression would likely drive Fang wild. "Good answers, though my brother not seem to like." Inhaling slowly, closing his eyes for a moment, when he next spoke the words were more clear, though coming at a much more lethargic pace. "This is Zangai. My brother's soul resides within this weapon, and he and I are one. Together, we run this squad." Turning his head and eyes to meet each in turn, he continued with what would ultimately be a rather interesting experience. "I have simple rules for us, and I expect all to listen. We work together, train together. No more by ourselves. The ANBU will stop you from taking any missions or scrolls to look at without my permission." Taking his hand from his brother's surface, he turned his eyes back to Fang, likely the one to resist the most. "A Team is family. We live, we die, we eat and we fight with one another. Trust and work together, or we all die. If anyone have problem with my rules you may challenge me. Fight me. If you win, you have right to control this team as wish for one week. If you fail, you follow orders to letter. Those are the rules. You can go to Kaileer, complain, try to change squad, but know this: this is your squad. There are no other squads, no other teams. You run, your life as Shinobi is over."

    -----Hiking a thumb over his shoulder at Samuru, he continued. "Sam-uru right. You insult your sister with your words. You must think little of her, else you would let her defend herself. No, you are not protecting her. You are insulting her, cutting her down." Turning his eyes to Osamu, he spoke to this genin next. "You react strongly to his insults, returning them as you will. That helps not. He insult, ignore him. Be better man." Rina was next, though her he cocked his head to the side at, just a bit. "You strong, this I know. Do not fear and hide. You are team, you are family, no matter history or family. We all start new here." And with that, he gestured before him, a sweeping gesture to encompass them all in welcome. Eyes flashing, he grinned.

    -----"Any questions?"

    First it was Rina's words that pierced him like serrated arrows, shredding his heart into bits. He stared at her eyes for a moment, as he wanted to just break down right then and there. When she said his name out loud, in such a cold disappointed tone, it was a nightmare. Then the Jounin Samuru lectured him in defense of Wanryoku. While Fang could accept being lectured by the others, what he could not accept was being told he objectified his sister. To Fang, Rina was everything. She was his last family. She was his memory of their mother. In that time when their small little excuse of a village was raided by the bandits, their entire lives were destroyed in an instant. He recalled the flames that had risen from the village, the smell of burning corpses, the screams of his childhood having been shattered. In that time, when there was no where else to turn, there was Rina. She was his light. His beacon that kept him sane. Rina kept him going; alive. To say that he was treating her badly, struck him as deep wound. Talk about hitting someone where it hurts.

    Fang was first startled by the entrance of Samaru who was quite a creepily sneaky character. How he hid in the shadows and moved around them all only to pounce like a cat in the wild waiting for his vulnerable pay to be unprepared. The guy struck Fang as not brave at all, but rather a lanky and grotesque figure. At least Wanryoku had an aura of fearlessness. That was something admirable. However, in Wanryoku arsenal, the Zangai, that he had everyone touch, was revealed to be a vessel for his brother. It sent out a screaming noise that made Fang sick to his stomach, nausiated, he fell to one knee and then onto his back, shaking all over as though he had seen death itself. It was the most traumatic experience imaginable. How could a weapon, be alive? Despite this being a shinobi world with chakra and the vast imagination with all the possibilities, this weapon with a soul inside of him struck him as a truly terrifying experience. As he got back up, he ignored the fact that was Wanryoku's brother and proceeded to spit back and lecture him.

    Closing his eyes, he placed his fist onto Zangai, touching it as he had been hesitant before. In his eyes burned a determination to do something. A passion to prove that he was not just a child with a foul mouth. As Wanryoku explained what a team was, Fang took out a kunai, holding it sideways towards him and explained, "You believe that team is family. That we do not function without protecting and cherishing one-another. But, there is one fatal flaw in your idealism... You don't know a damn thing about family." Gritting his teeth, Fang knew at this point he had long since gone past the point of no return. He continued: "I had a family once. When Rina and I were children, we lived in a happy little fishing village with a few farms here and there. I was happy helping my dad fill the barrels of fish and carry them back to our small shack of a home everyday. We didn't bother anyone. We wanted for not. And then one day, bandits came. They looted the village of everything we had. My father - he went to this village. Begged for aid. He offered his life in service for Kumo if they would save his village. No one came. Why? Why wouldn't the great Lightning Country protect its own family? Why indeed... Because our village... was not an economically strategic location."

    Untying his headband, Fang held it in his hand, staring down at it. "Our little insignificant fishing village had nothing to offer Kumo. So they never sent us aid. Women and children were made into slaves. Our homes were sent ablaze. And it was pillaged. In one instant, our happy little family was turned to nothing but a pile of cindering ash. No... Nothing is free in this world. So, how dare you ask me to accept this village and these strangers as my own? As blood kindred? When they have offered me nothing." Fang eyed Wanryoku, his voice emptied by the hatred that flowed in his veins. "One day. I will find those bandits. And I will take from them - just like they took from me. I will destroy their lives. No one will get in my way... because I walk the path of vengeance. I will become strong so that my sister doesn't have to fight anymore. I swear it."

    Fang stepped further outside moving away from the group into an open area. "To protect and defend my ninja way, I have to fight you, Wanryoku." Fang's aura began to become calm and collective. Now was not the time to let anger blind his abilities. He had spent most of the day earlier training for a moment like this to showcase his abilities. He knew he was going to lose, but if he could at least save face by battling Wanryoku head on and showing him that he was a capable shinobi worthy of his squad, then it was worth getting beaten into the ground. The other genin were watching him now. No doubt they thought he was a big whiny clown who just wanted attention. No matter. Fang knew he brought it all on himself. This was his way of atonement; the only thing he knew best. Fighting. Battle. And in moments like this, where the odds were maximally stacked against him, he had to show that he was not a coward who would back down. Instead, he would fight until the bitter end with a defiance that would shake the very earth.

                                  She listened to the others as they explained their own interpretation of what a team was, most of them similar to her own if not a little more fleshed out than the very bland and basic answer she had chosen. It made her somewhat glad to know she was on the mark enough to be mimicked by her fellow squad members, for quite honestly she knew little of teamwork. It was around that time her squad member who had been unafraid to go toe to toe with Satoshi introduced himself to her with a smile. She gave a slight bow in return, however her face remained blank and lacking in expression as she spoke back to him. "I look forward to working with you, Osamu" as she finished speaking to the young male she listened to another squad member explain his idea of what a team truly was however she wasn't fond of his answer. To someone like Rina it made little sense for a team to be like family, it was simply a team- there was no blood ties, not a strong bond between any one of them besides Satoshi and herself, it felt strange and wrong to call them as much.

                                  As always she let the endless supply of bodies within this crowd insult her brother for his actions, he was in control of his own situation and she wouldn't dig him out of a mess he only seemed to bury himself deeper into with every word that escaped his mouth. However when the scarred male with the dark hair and mixed colored eye began to speak to her, implying she should not be a kunoichi she visibly scowled. This was the first negative action she had taken in a very long time however she wasn't impressed with this man and his words. "You should hold your tongue, saying such things is unappreciated" her words were sharp, and her gaze bore into him even sharper than the words she had unleashed. She examined him, his body was damaged, severed, he was a husk of a man much like Rina was nothing but a husk herself. He had no place to lecture from- if there was one thing she could never tolerate it was nonsense. How she had managed to keep sane while alongside her brother was a miracle, possibly because he had good hearts deep down and she knew this better than anyone.

                                  "Because of our relationship you view my brother and myself as a hindrance, however you can be seen as a liability yourself so you should spare such words" she explained very matter-of-fact before pointing to his maimed body. Despite her sensory skills discerning his skill as high, and she could feel how powerful he truly was she still seemed to believe her words, as they held some merit. Her intent was not malicious, Rina was unable to ever be such a thing. However she wasn't the type to sit back and not defend herself from criticism or judgement for if she did that she'd be nothing right now but the monster everyone else believed her to be. Still her confrontation was short lived as she turned her attention away from the male rather quickly and focused once again on Wanryoku who had began speaking to the genin within his squad.

                                  Once again his words puzzled her, he recycled what Yuto had said earlier attempting to further press the idea that a team was akin to a family. A silly notion that she could not comprehend, for as long as she had known her only family was Satoshi and the rest were all dead for many years. She had no complaints with the rest of the large man's rules, she didn't mind working together with others so long as the leadership was solid and she wasn't asked to do something she saw as unwise. Still his words had left a sour taste in her mouth, not on purpose of course- but the people here needed to realize they could not possibly understand the heart or strife of another person. Before she could reject his notions her brother had already spoken out and she was in a similar mindset to him if not a little less embellished. These people were not her family by blood nor bond, she could not openly accept these people as they were right now- these things took time, and she wasn't very convinced she even wanted another family.

                                  "Sensei" she interjected after he spoke of her brothers actions affecting her, her face slightly contorted in a mix of emotion, almost indecipherable which she was currently feeling She was not very happy with all of these people shoving words down her throat and making it out as if they were her own. If they believed what they were saying to be true then both Wanryoku and Samuru were doing the same thing that Satoshi was, which was hypocritical. "Please refrain from saying such things, if my brothers actions were hindering me I would be the one to tell him as much- if you think I am strong then believe that I am capable of defending myself" she stated coldly, the quiet Rina seemingly pushed over the edge by all the negativity directed at her. This was not a result of her brother cutting her drown or impeding her, this was those she was surrounded by using her as a way to hurt Satoshi and she was not okay with that. Rina was actually rather happy when her brother challenged their words, going as far as to issue a duel to Wanryoku himself, and she silently wished him luck. She on the other hand was more of a realistic and understood the scope of her own power compared to the barbarian before her, she would not fight with him herself. Still if Wanryoku wanted an accurate description of teamwork he'd need not look further than Satoshi and Rina, if the two of them fought together it would be as if one mind inhabited two bodies. They had a keen understanding of one another and complimented each other perfectly. Perhaps she would aid her brother in this fight if he asked, or needed her to inject herself into the situation further. She was certain loss was inevitable, but a demonstration of skill was not something she was against.

    Osamu Sasori Aburame

    Kumogakure // Genin / D-Rank // Medical / Taijutsu // Aburame Clan // Katon/ Doton // Chakra: 400 / 400 // Stamina: 325 / 325 // Insects (Body): 1000 / 1000 // Insects (Gourd) 1500

    Osamu stood there as a nearly broken, small male staggered around on a crutch and started berating Fang and to a lesser extent Rina, managing to suppress a slight chuckle. When the huge metal ball let out a loud shriek and wail, Osamu flinch and reach for a kunai on reflex. When Wan said that the ball contained his brother’s soul, the boy raised an eyebrow, ‘Damn, that’s some weird stuff…’ he thought to himself as he relaxed a bit and replaced his kunai.

    Standing there, Osamu continued to listen to Wan talk as he explained the rules for their squad, thinking that the one about training was a bit on the overly strict side, but could kind of see the point. He then couldn’t help but facepalm internally when Fang went on another rant against their squad, challenging Wan to a fight and then he heard Rina, who had earlier worked to keep Fang in line somewhat, had stepped forward and started backing the obnoxious genin. While they were yelling, Osamu stepped up a little, “Well, sensei, if we have to ask you to go train, can I go work on some taijutsu and bukijutsu I’ve kind of been procrastinating on? I wouldn’t be all that useful to the squad or the village if something happened and I hadn’t gotten that training done…” Osamu scratched the back of his head lightly, at the moment he just wanted to get away from the annoying fellow genin for a bit and get soe more of his training done.

    Yuto Hakate
    ⊀ The White Wolf ⊁ // ⊀ D Rank Genin ⊁ // ⊀ Kumogakure ⊁ // ⊀ Chakra Pool: 260/260 ⊁ // ⊀ Stamina Pool: 240/240 ⊁ // ⊀ Hakate Clan ⊁

    ..........Yuto heard what Wan had said and agreed with him about was that his squad was his family. Following the speech from Wan another entered the conversation and spoke to Fang like a child being scorned. He told him that he thought of his sister as an object and the rest of the team as his enemies which he was correct Fang was doing so. Then all hell broke loose as Fang went on his rampage about what a family was and that Wan didn't know what a family is. Balling his fist up he couldn't hold back anymore as he looked towards Fang, Quit your whining like you've been through the worst pain in the world. You still have a family that stands beside you and you should feel lucky about that. I watched my brother murder my mother in cold blood all because he felt he was stronger than her. So when you are ready to talk about real pain, then just imagine losing your sister and then you will know mine. Yuto no longer held back his feeling and pain as his nails bit into his hand causing them to bleed and tears began to fall from his eyes. This genin who had something to say about everything and didn't have the courage to put his emotions aside for the better of the squad was going to be an issue with Yuto as he looked at Wan. If you actually decide to fight him don't kill him, please. But I must know am I allowed to train in my family ways or must I sit here and watch a child get taught a lesson he should have learned when his family was harmed. Looking over at Rina he closed his eyes before opening them. One last thing but this is directed towards the one that I think may listen. I do not think what happened to your family was any less bad than what happened to mine. I just think that beating yourself up about what happened and only striving to get stronger because of revenge is wrong. You must help him on the right path and by not trying to stop this foolish action might cause him to die in later missions. With that Yuto feel silent and walked towards the back of the group as he sighed and tried to calm down.

    Screaming weapon. To say Samuru really didn't like Kumogakure was going to be an understatement if all this weird stuff didn't keep happening! Jolting slightly as the weapon howled, Samuru nearly lost his balance and threw his arm out, getting his balance back before he could fall. Frowning deeply at Wan, he waited for the giant to finish his address to the group before scolding the much larger man "Wan, the next time you say your weapon has your brother's soul in it, please also mention that he is sentient and can vocalize. Its not very nice." his tone was clearly irritated with the giant for the startling event that had just occurred. Perhaps, though, it might be good for the genin to note that Samuru was, despite his apparent frailty and disability, treating Wan in the same way Wan was treating them. With honesty and a good heavy dose of a reality check. Adjusting his crutch again, he turned back to face the group of genin. First then...."I'm sorry for your loss." Samuru met Fang's eyes and Rina's, his single eye a little less empty than before "But don't assume you are the only ones to lose something here. We're all shinobi because we want something and the most common thing that unites us is the strive for strength. Strength to save, avenge, destroy or create. In many different ways and for many different reasons, we will eventually get that." He shook his head slightly, trying to get the annoying hum Amiti was holding up out of his head 'Stop it.' Why don't you? They don't care. Selfish, ignorant and blind from their own petty issues. They'll die like all the rest. All the same. 'Maybe not. Maybe they'll survive.' Like you did? the mocking scorn was sharper than anything Rina could deliver and he just looked at her as Amiti spoke, his expression dark.

    "Unappreciated or not, I am free to speak as I wish and I will. Unlike you, I have proven my right and place to speak as I want in this village. Your personal ideals are not my problem. Your personal defects are not my problem. But you as a shinobi are the village's problem and as I am trapped in this place, I can and will speak my mind at you. I haven't fought to survive this long to be brow beaten by a genin. Especially one who is older and still less experienced than myself." he snapped, his disdain for her clear now. While his eye was understanding of their past loss, his tone made it clear that if she chose to press the issue of him voicing an opinion...things would go quite badly "If you deem me a liability because of perceived inabilities or defectives, then you should consider your own defectives. An inability to speak for yourself. A dangerous indulgence in your brother. A dependence on each other. All these things will kill you. Both of you." He felt for them. Truly, he did. Their loss was something he understood in a way they would likely never know. But history was the past and it should stay there. They would get each other and everyone around them killed and for the very same reason that they had just demonstrated. One offered to fight so the other one did too. Too reliant.

    Shaking his head again, Samuru just...stopped. The words went away, the decision to try and interact withered and his eye went empty again. That's better. 'Shut up.' Alone is the only way you can survive. 'Thanks to you, I'm never alone.' True. But when it's all over, only the end will welcome you. Turning to Wan, Samuru shrugged a shoulder at him "I'm going. I don't want to watch this in just pants...I'm taking the rest of the stuff to the forge. Have a good fight." turning away, he nodded to the other two genin, the two boys, without much of a show. They were going to be, at least, easier for Wan to deal with. As he walked away, Samuru happened across an Anbu and paused to speak to him, their words muffled. But the Anbu took his words and nodded, leaving to go into the dojo. With that done, Samuru walked off, his crutch slightly sinking into the moist dirt.

    Genin - Kumogakure - Bukijutsu/Performer - 175 Stamina - 325 Chakra

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxしかし、私は神でない

    Training stuff~ Feel free to skip
    "*Sshhhh....haaaa...ahhh*" The sounds of focused breathing escaped Soraru has he held onto the hilt of his blade with one hand, his eyes narrowed at the tree just ahead of him, left hand in front of him as his knees bent low. The Genin was visualizing an enemy before him, his eyes focused on a single leaf that hadn't moved yet in the low breeze. Iaidō; a technique that he held most dear, over any other Bukijutsu technique in existence, as no other technique had the same feeling. Like time was stopping, remaining steadfast in the presence of someone who could take your life just as fast as you could take theirs. A breeze rolled in, and the moment that leaf made the faintest movement, Soraru had made his own. In half a second, the Samurai had drawn his katana and sliced through the air with the finesse of someone who had done it countless times before. He did, though it was always in practice sessions or with wooden weapons. It felt...fulfilling to do it with his partner.

    Iaidō Rank: E :: Simple [1/1]

    With his steel biting the wind, Soraru couldn't help but grin. He didn't exactly step into the training area yet, since he got way too eager when he saw his old potential technique for honing abilities. He doubted there would be any trees inside the dojo's, so he figured that he'd get some solo practice done in a way he was familiar with. While his blade was still out, he pulled it back to his body and stepped to the side, his hands rotating around the tsuba to get into a position where the blunt side was facing up. He wasn't a fan of non lethal techniques, but he understood their importance. He swung the blade up with both hands, as if parrying an oncoming blow. Soraru moved as he did so, never really appreciating stagnant blocks. The lower hand on the hilt removed itself to push forwards, before he sheathed his blade, all in one fluent motion.

    A Decade of Peace Rank: E :: Simple [1/1]

    The "Bard" didn't have his blade sheathed for more than an instant, immediately drawing it once more as his stance circled. He crouched further down all of a sudden, his hands raising over his right shoulder, both hands parallel to the right side of his head while he pointed the blade straight outwards. The prime position, or Ko Gasumi, one of his personal favorites when he actually had to engage in Kenjutsu. It was a pose that had a lot of intimidation. "Hraagh!" He exclaimed when going for his strike, his blade raising while he flipped around the tsuba once more so that the curved end faced the "opponent" before him. The downward strike that followed could definitely be fatal on anyone who was unlucky enough to be hit by it.

    Ryūtsuisen [ Dragon Hammer Strike ] Rank: E :: Simple [1/1]

    After that strike, Soraru remained still, his body leaning forwards in post-cutting position. His weight was leaned forward onto one knee, while both hands were down, the tip of his katana just an inch from the ground. That's just the basics, but...I need to learn more if I want to be of any use. There are so many techniques, and I feel like I've forgotten so many...I guess that's what happens when you neglect training.

    The boy closed his eyes, concentrating more now on building chakra. His blade lit with the faintest glimmer of blue for but a moment, but he couldn't see it, he didn't want to. It would fuel his ego and distract him. For the moment, he was disciplining himself, not allowing his body to get lazy. He remembered the stance...if he were to move an inch, he'd get smacked in the part of his body which moved with a wooden sword by his sensei. "Still...everything feels so familiar. Even if my mind doesn't remember, my body does through instinct. These things are embedded in my very soul...My conviction is...

    His eyes shot open, and he broke stance to glide his body forwards and turn, his blade sheathing in one swift movement. "Unwavering..." He spoke out loud that time, his voice a harsh whisper. He performed that technique again, the one which came to him as easily as breathing, sword flashing out in a mere half a second, though it was visibly different. Bright blue chakra coated the katana, dancing around the beloved steel. Back in the Land of Iron, performing such a technique was a "coming of age." If he was still back home, they would have had an entire festival for him. But he wasn't home anymore. That thought brought a smirk to his lips, and he raised his weapon to the sky, looking up to catch its beauty in full form. "Maybe I'll show these pesky Shinobi what to fear back home." He said, though the cheeky, playful tone was enough to suggest that he wasn't serious.

    Chakra Scabbard Rank: D :: Complex [3/3]

    And then, out of nowhere..: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" SOMETHING from inside the dojo screamed out in...agony? Confusion? Was it just trying to be a general nuisance? The sound caught Soraru completely off guard, and he almost dropped his weapon, which....which was still pretty inexcusable! emotion_bigvein In honesty, he was mostly upset because it actually scared him in the instant that it happened. Making sure he was gripping tight onto the hilt of his katana, he braced a couple seconds for some kind of aftershock, but nothing followed. Giving a sigh of relief, he sheathed his katana before he could risk...dropping it again. Ughhh, so annoying. Giving a huff, he actually turned towards the dojo and walked towards it, opening the door and walking in. No matter what, that could have been someone in danger. Or someone who I can pummel for nearly making me drop Suwari... He grumbled mentally, blinking though when he investigated the inside. Apparently people were talking just outside, out back...He kept his back to the wall beside the door and listened, only to be horribly disappointed.

    So first was the ranting from a rather rattled and angered voice. Someone going on about their personal life story and yada yada. Honestly, people needed to learn that they weren't going to just be thrown a pity party because they had some kind of sorrowful or tragic past. Really, it seemed like just about every ninja was either an orphan or tortured from youth or something. Then came that line...the one which made him shiver. Not out of fear or any real emotion, but just...resentment. He was cringing if anything. "I walk the path of vengeance." emotion_facepalm Noooooo. Just stop. Seriously. If you're young, focus on becoming strong for better reasons, like impressing a pretty girl. THAT was something worthy of respect, in Soraru's mind. Seriously, what is vengeance really going to get you? If you torture a guy for something he did to you, you're nothing better than him. It doesn't lead to a feeling of fulfillment, it almost always ends up in grief. Every one of his mentors could attest to that.

    A female voice rang up, but it was too soft for him to really hear. Then came another rather quite male, until someone else decided to raise their voice. At first, Soraru had high hopes. The guy told the other boy earlier to quit his whining and man up, but...but...The poor bard probably was getting red marks on his face from how much it was hitting against his palms. What was wrong with these people?! Was this guy trying to start a fight or something over who had the worst past? If you know a guy is irritable you don't say something like that. Shinobi are supposed to be warriors of stealth who wear emotional masks so that they don't show any weakness. Not warriors of depression who pour their emotional tear toxins on their blades and cut at people until their opponent cries and the winning party gains satisfaction.

    The last guy to speak wasn't so much cringe-worthy as he was an a*****e. he did say something that let Soraru catch onto what was screaming earlier, but still. Definitely not the type that got along very well with others. Apparently the guy was saying that siblings being dependent on each other would lead to their deaths, but the Bard couldn't disagree more. It was attachments and bonds that ended up saving the ninja world multiple times, according to what he read in textbooks from the Land of Iron. It was a good thing for him that saving the world wasn't exactly important to him, since unwavering bonds weren't exactly his style. In the end, the last male to speak exited the area, and Soraru took that as his queue to actually exit the dojo and approach the other Shinobi. "Yare yare. Quite the dramatics going on, nee?" He spoke out, making sure his voice was loud and clear to gather some attention. The Samurai moved towards the group, hand resting calmly over the elevated hilt of his katana, using it as an arm rest of sorts for no real reason. "I always heard that Shinobi trained in dojo's, not put on quality acts of theater, but I guess I have a lot to learn." He teased cheekily, the small smile on his lips showing that it was all in good fun. Honestly, he didn't really care how they spent their time, but they were an interesting bunch. It was better that he actually got to know his peers, teams be damned. In the end, they'd all be working together on a battlefield anyways.

    Anyways, he was able to get a good little examination of the people in the area with him. A man who looked like a fairly intimidating viking, a girl who was one of those "too good to be true" lookers that the entire village chased down (gonna have to serenade her later) , a guy with a strange spiky hair who had an apparent affinity for black, a guy in a hoodie who looked more like he wanted to do a shady deal tha- awwww nevermind, he was one of those green eyed, blonde babyface guys. Kawaii emotion_kirakira Then there was another guy. White hair, silky smooth looking, with blue eyes that seemed to be naturally set in a glare. One of those strict types probably. Soraru himself didn't look like anything too special. White collared shirt, a jacket with some leather armor reinforced onto it, black hair and aquamarine eyes. Out of the entire group though, he looked like the only one who could lighten up, the rest having their own "no-nonsense" vibe about them. "So, I was wondering if anyone wouldn't mind training with a rookie Genin like myself. Unfortunately it's hard to learn some of my techniques with just one person."

    -----{ A }nger from Fang, he had expected. Anger from the sister, however, was not on the menu of expectations for the day. Their story was a tragic one, especially if what they claimed was true. Military decisions such as he spoke of were horridly common amongst the tribes of his homeland, a locations strategic importance being the single deciding factor in supplies, reinforcement, and defense. One such had been his original home village, where his father had abandoned his mother and her kin to death, enslavement, and likely rape for there sheer fact that its usefulness in his campaign had ended. The memory of it stirred nothing but a hollow echo within his heart now, so long ago had it happened, yet one never truly got over it. It had been the cause of his own hatred and rage against his father's regime, and he felt misery for knowing he never once went back to his home, to see what had become of his mother. Yet truly he valued those atrocities for what they were: character builders. Had he not felt as he did, the disgust and rage against the caliphate his father intended, he might well have fallen into that same category. Purpose and spirit twisted and scoured by the war machine his father had built, Wanryoku might well have become the very aggressors that had slaughtered villages like theirs without a moment's thought.

    -----Such meanderings were meaningless now. No, the memories and their effects upon him stifled what would have otherwise been a bonfire of rage against the child's words. Attention shifting to the sister, Rina, Wanryoku considered her comments carefully. Despite what others might have chosen to believe the giant had a mind, and he used it carefully when studying people. Oh, he was no witch doctor, no shaman or wiseman, but he felt it was important nonetheless to think before you acted. Her words made sense, and while he did not regret, and would not take back, what he had said the jounin would take it into consideration in the future. The lesson had been taught, and that was his primary concern. Whether she chose to accept both Samuru and Wanryoku's words mattered not to him: the imagery was there. Their lives would depend on trusting of each other's skills, and casting such a negative inflection upon his sister's abilities would be a detriment to the others' trust in her abilities. For their first mission it would cause nothing but problems, and that he could not allow. Looking at Fang, seeing the misery as he realized what he had, unintentionally, done, the giant accepted and moved on from this. Gazing into her eyes for a moment before listening to Osamu, Wanryoku caught a moment where he knew she felt confusion. A flicker, no more, but enough to tell him what he needed: these two would not see this group as family, not yet. And honestly that was "okay", for it was the goal, not the starting position.

    -----Normally, Wanryoku would have spoke his peace, yet when Samuru opened his mouth and gave his two cents after Osamu's question he remained silent. Yes, Samuru was not in control of this squad, and yes, he would need to remove the negative influence his words had likely conveyed, yet it showed him once more the duality within the jounin. Friendship, a weakness, and yet his small movements and words had shown that Wanryoku, at least, was something akin to a friend. An internal conflict raged there, and his words promised that the end result might well be bad for all involved, but it opened a window to a possibility of salvation. That was why he allowed Samuru to chastise the girl for daring to tell him to stop speaking, to speak about looking to one's own weaknesses before searching for those in others. It was a moving speech with more than a bit of merit and yet surely they would ignore it. Anguish and instability did that to a person, after all.

    -----The story from Yuto, from Fang and Rina, did not lose their impact upon him. Each was important, a foundation for who they were as people. Yet whereas Fang had ended with a challenge, Yuto took on the roll of tutor, and that he would not allow. "One last thing-" was as far as the Genin would get before Wanryoku rose a single hand in the gesture of forbearance, as it was not his place to give advise. No, he would be stopped, only to be replaced by...someone else. Someone intruding upon their space, their sacred ritual of party formation. Almost he snapped at the interloper only to refrain at the last moment. In this situation it was not his place to cease the boy from meandering both in word and in deed, only to impart orders after the fact.

    -----A lull in the angst and aggression finally fell, and much like a falcon Wanryoku swooped in for the kill. "Hmph." A grunt, no more, but enough to bring all attention back to him. Hand lowered and raised into a cross before his chest, the giant looked at all of them, each in the eyes and each with a weight upon them. At last he spoke, pointing first at Osamu. "You may train. Afterwards, work with this...child...and assist him. Consider it a mission for the moment. Once complete all steps, go into woods and cut firewood, both of you, for winter. Get as much as can." Training was important, but he would not have them waste time and sit idle when so much needed done to prepare for the oncoming winter. Turning his gaze to Yuto, whom he had silenced earlier, he continued. "You need things to do. Go to academy and help make clothes for people. Again, Winter is coming, and we shinobi protect villagers. After, or during, teach children or show children your hobby, or how to sew. Either will help the village as much as possible."

    -----Turning slightly, the giant looked to Samuru just as he was about to leave, and he gave a wordless cry so as to drag his attention back to them for a moment. Holding up an arm to signal that he had something to say, Wanryoku continued. "In case of attack, we all meet at Blue Dragon! If can, make me big sword, two hands, my size! I pay you and come help you soon as can!" The words echoed, and he would likely hear them, so Wanryoku waved and turned back to the last two, the ones he had waited the longest to speak with.

    -----During his orders Wanryoku had not changed expression once, his grim visage clear no matter what action he took. So when he spoke, the words matched him face in more ways than one. Once more his words were slow, more careful, clearing some of what he was saying up. "Your past is in the past. If you let it eat you, you will never grow. You will stay as you are, a child hoping to be a warrior but with only a loud bark to fight with. You speak as if none of us have pain, or know of loss. You say I know nothing of family?" Here his hand cracked down hard onto Zangai, the force of his blow sending the already massive weight downwards and shattering the ground. A large crater formed, sending dirt and debris into the air, though only enough to startle, not to hurt. It would likely do little more. When Wanryoku spoke it was still with an easy tone, as if nothing had happened. "You know nothing. To assume such a thing only reflects on much of a child you really are." Removing his hand with a sigh, Wanryoku shook his head sadly, the first show of anything other than neutrality to them to date. "You spoke in anger, and I will allow you to take them back. As you see, the true meaning of my words are clear if you think with your head, instead of your heart." This time his tone was more relaxed, more...intimate. Emotional, almost, as if speaking from personal experience. Looking back up the twin silver orbs stared down both of them, though what was intended remained unclear. "You both will be given missions, and you will do them until complete. Then come back to me. If you have idea, come to me, we talk, we see what needs doing to work. Prove yourself to me worthy of respect, and I help you grow strong. Or, you continue challenge and prove little besides you are angry. If you accept, Ree-na will go to Soup Kitchen, help those without homes. Bring help to those who need it. You, Fang. You go chop firewood. Bring as much as you can back, but do not burn. Do not over cut. Your choice."

    Fang's personality seemed to take a change when Wanryoku mentioned a mission. To Fang, a mission meant making a profit. And Fang was all about a profit. Bowing, his tone appeared calmer now. "I'll bring back more firewood than the village can handle." Seeing as this was his first mission, well, perhaps missions as a first for everyone all around, Fang turned to Osamu and wished him success. "Good luck on your mission." While it was no glamorous shinobi task, cutting firewood for Kumogakure was nonetheless an important objective so that the village homes' had firewood to keep their hearths ablaze.

    Heading away from the Academy and Dojo, Fang proceeded to the forest where he would begin chopping down wood and taking on a solid manual labor job with a decent payout. Money was everything next to Rina to Fang. For the right price, he was always willing to take a risk and try to do some kind of work.

    Returning to the Academy and Dojo, Fang looked for Samuru. He approached what he thought the area Samuru would be in and bowed, with sweat and exhaustion on his face. Fang was out for some time chopping down a large amount of firewood for the village. He then explained, "Would it be possible if you would allow me to borrow a wheel-barrel from your forge? I was tasked with a mission to collect firewood. I have a ton of it sitting outside of the village in forest, but no way to bring it back without assistance." Fang attempted to sound as sincere as he possibly could be. After Fang asked, he realized that Samuru wasn't here. He recalled Blue Dragon being mentioned and headed there. (3/4)

    Osamu Sasori Aburame

    Kumogakure // Genin / D-Rank // Medical / Taijutsu // Aburame Clan // Katon/ Doton // Chakra: 400 / 400 // Stamina: 325 / 325 // Insects (Body): 1000 / 1000 // Insects (Gourd) 1500

    Nodding when he got his orders from Wan, Osamu split off form the group and found a decent sized space in which to train. Making a quick insect clone, Osamu squared off with it, taking up a basic fighting stance. Once he nodded to the clone, it ran at him, attacking with a punch at his jaw. Osamu would slip back slightly, getting his left palm onto the punch to deflect it to the right as he fed it to his right hand. His right hand would grab onto the attacking arm as his left went to the clone’s elbow. Leading the clone out by rotating his spine, Osamu would whip the grabbed arm around, forcing the clone to flip into his back.

    As the clone got up and came at him again, Osamu watched for an opening then burst in to intercept. The genin slipped another punch, then pressed the clone’s arm across it’s face and neck as he moved in more and slipped his right arm under the trapped clone arm and around the clone’s neck. Grabbing his hand to lock in the hold, Osamu inserted his hip behind the clone and reaped back with his leg, taking the clone to the ground and choking it.

    Letting the clone up, he squared off with it again, waiting for the clone to attack again. This time the clone came at him with a right roundhouse kick, and Osamu responded by moving in and catching the leg as he rode the force and rotation of it to avoid taking the full brunt of the blow. As he did that, he slipped his right arm around the back of the clone, then swept the clone’s base leg out from under him to take it to the ground. Once it hit the ground, Osamu dropped to a knee and punched it in the nose.

    Letting the clone back up, Osamu waited for another attack. This time the clone would come at him with a basic front kick. Instead of jamming up the kick, like he had before, Osamu would simply slip to the side and watching the kick go past him. He’d then perform a rising hook block to catch the kick in the crook of his elbow. Taking the captured leg, he’d raise it up, throwing it into the air and forcing the clone to flip backwards and lad flat on its back.

    This time the clone would simply charge at Osamu. Osamu would move in slightly, catching the clone’s arm and lifting it up behind the clone’s head before pressing it towards its neck. Thanks to the momentum the clone had, it would quickly be close to losing its balance. At this point, the original Osamu would step back in front of the clone and insert his hip as he bent his knees and forced the clone to trip over his hips, flipping the clone into the ground. He’d then stand back uip and kick the clone in the side of the head, making it finally disperse in a swarm of kikaichu.
