[ Ame: } Night night~
[ Kurumimi: } Red is heavily based on spells that hit creatures and players directly ( like Lightning Bolt ). Blue has a lot of spells that interrupt, reverse, or cancel things your opponents do. And... well... bleh... I'm mostly just talking about Standard, so someone else should explain. > _ < Good night, Kurururumimimi.

Sahana Kurumi Be nice Ame! I'm still new to Magic o mo I didn't know. -still debating on what kinda deck to run- I still don't entirely know how to play. Can someone give me a break down on what kinda decks I can make with the different colors/elements. I was thinking about Blue or Red. Red I think gives you a lot of monsters but they're weak. Blue...I just remember playing with my friend's Serpent/Dragon deck. I know most of the rules, it's the different card types/colors I forget about. Blue is for neat effects. Mostly milling(Making your opponent get rid of his deck), countering(Canceling the use of a spell), Bouncing (Sending things back to the players hand), and other effects like those. Red is damage plain a simple. It swarms you under with little creatures, has burn spells, and has massive creatures that usual have effects that cause more damage. Black is kinda wide spread. It can do a little of everything but I see removal most common. Killing creatures and disallowing actions. It pairs great with blue and green. Green is your creature color. If you want to make a deck focused around the plain old beating down of an opponent this is the way to go. It is FILLED with beefy monsters and spells that makes said beefy monsters beefier. It also counters artifacts and enchantments well as well gives you some life gain in some cases. I`ve always liked pairing it with red to try and swarm my opponents before the can act. White is another all around like black but instead of removal it has lifegain and removal. Lots of lifelink cards and first strike cards in white. You have also got things like ring of oblivion which is disputably one of the best removal spells in the game. If you run white it is general acceptance you run two-four of them in either your main deck or sideboard. For deck ideas go to a place called tcgplayer.com. It lists all kinds of player made decks and pro decks used in the tourneys. Learning to build your own should come after you`ve learned to play with other`s decks first otherwise you wont really understand what makes a deck good or bad.

I was only the interim Hokage. *demotes*So who's the real Hokage? o .o Kukukuku. Yosha! I'll be damned! scream

I'll bookmark that site so I can go to it later.
When I go back to my old college (finally got back in yay!) I get to see my MTG friends again so I'll build a deck then since there's a comicbook store right across the street that sales old (some new) MTG single cards. 8 cards for a dollar xD So I'll check it out.

My Forest(green) deck was amazing. Blanchwood armor and Overgrowth were such amazing enchantments. Yavimaya Enchantress and Jugan the Rising Star were so much fun to use. The Trample Ability and cards associated with it were my best friends in MTG. and Just for fun, I'd bring out Verdant Force occasionally.
