Hatsu Yuki Hattori
Kumogakure Genin
Taijutsu/Ninjutsu 420/565 ---/455

After some searching on her own, Hatsu would find Soraru catching up behind her. She wasn't going very fast, but she wasn't dawdling either. Soraru would ask a question about her resistance to the cold, which was not an odd thing to ask about, judging from her choice of apparel. "We Shinsetsu have a resistance to cold, we are not as easily bothered by it as others are." Hatsu glanced behind her to find the hooded genin following along too. The mist was not very visible to Hatsu thanks to her Mist Vision, but the ice it left behind was still very visible. As the fog slipped into a room, she would see the door frame freeze and hear a scream, followed by a monstrous shriek. Quickly focusing on the room the fog slipped into, she pried the door open to find a tall icy figure with a strange dark orb at its center. It had trapped some of the villagers away from the entrance, and did not even seem to notice when Hatsu entered the room. Muttering an expletive to herself, she through up some handsigns, first creating a cloud of snow in front of her, then using it to trap the monster in place. The Hatsuyuki would spin around the frigid beast, confining it within strong, cold, whistling winds.

Once the other two were next to Hatsu, she would give them orders. "Getting the villagers back to the others is our top priority. I can distract it, but I need you two to help them back safely. Nobody dies, understood?" Hatsu was unsure if the whirlwind would even hold the large beast, but it was better than nothing and it would hopefully draw the monster's attention away. Creating a second Hatsuyuki, Hatsu would prepare herself for any counterattacks.

(Hatsu)
Shinsetsu, huh? He knew the literal meaning behind the name, and found that it reflected Hatsu rather well. She was kind, gentle, however on the flip side there was the "down to business" kind of seriousness about her through her way of speaking which couldn't be ignored. "Well, lucky you. Right now that sounds like the loveliest family in the world to be in." He said, with a hint of mock irritation leaving his smiling lips. Well, to say that the annoyance was a complete fraud was a lie. But he bore no will towards her or her clan. Although...jealousy was undoubtedly present. emotion_sweatdrop When she turned her head to look behind them, Soraru followed suit, noticing the hooded boy tagging along. He was undoubtedly an Aburame and the source of the many bugs which seemed almost as plentiful as the ice...also just as unwelcome, in his mind. He didn't doubt their usefulness, but seeing so many insects whenever he looked at a corner or wall made his blood chill worse than the ice, along with making his skin crawl. But hey, some people also thought monkeys made great pets and others ate sea urchin genitals with their sushi, so maybe Soraru was just the weird one and not normal at all?

Nah. They were all crazy except for him. emotion_yatta

(Confrontation.)

When he actually began to pay more attention to the ice and mist rather than his allies, he noticed that a trail was being left. It seemed very recent, so whatever was doing it must have been very nearby. As his eyes trailed up, Soraru noticed that it led into a room. Before he could come to any conclusions on what exactly was going on, a sudden scream made his eyes widen, and his hand gripped his katana incredibly tight. The last time he heard that and took his time, two people ended up becoming ice statue decorations for the dojo. Following the scream, that buzzing in his ear seemed to escalate into something more inhuman and strange than it already was. Although he wasn't struck by fear. No. He didn't even care for it in the slightest, as he just wanted to make sure whoever was inside wouldn't be harmed.

Hatsu got to the door before him and pried it open, revealing a rather horrific scene that seemed rather hopeless at first glance. A creature that was about four or five feet taller than himself stood with its back to the shinobi, as it closed in on villagers merely relying on the mercy of the beast. There were several people there, each of them just wanting to live, not deserving an early, cold fate. Move... Something whispered to him, making him realize that he was actually incapable of doing so. When he tried to move his arm to draw his blade, it felt like something was seizing him. The same happened when he tried to take a step forward, however upon trying...just out of curiosity and definitely not out of cowardice, he found that he could step back. That felt satisfying. So he did it again. Moving forward was so hard. He was just imagining how easy it would be to just run away.

After all, this thing, whatever it was, had frozen two people into blocks of ice in a matter of seconds! How fast could it do the same to everyone in the room? If he fell back...maybe found a Jounin...he could save everyone right? Call for backup, maybe those people would die...they...Move. Could he really let them die? Would that be worth it, even if someone could kill the thing? Did he really think that it would be worth it for them to die in exchange for his life?

Did I...Could I even think such a thing?

He remained still, gritting his teeth as Hatsu laid down a string of jutsu without hesitation. What was mere playful jealousy of her bloodline now erupted into something more passionate...a real envy of the Shinsetsu girl. I need to move. When the girl spoke her next words, he found that he could actually feel his hand around the wrapped hilt of his katana once more. Every word was ignored, until one resonated within him. "Nobody dies." Suddenly he didn't feel cold anymore. No, the guilt came down like boiling water that seared him and melted the boy down to his very core. It was as if he had just snapped back into himself, and he found that he was able to reply to his current teammate. "I won't risk their lives." He told her, and continued on with doing things his way. He wouldn't take the risk of Hatsu not having the monsters attention, and wouldn't accept a "maybe" when it came to getting to the other side of the room and back without the thing noticing. No. He was going to get the civilians out, and make sure that the thing wouldn't follow after them.

(Taking action.)

Soraru burst forward with all the speed he could muster, drawing out his katana and calling out. "Stay down!" He'd shout towards the villagers, his katana glowing blue with chakra the moment it was released from the saya. "Gruaaaaah!" He roared out, seeming like a guttural cry which ripped from his very core, something stronger and much more feral than a scream as he filled his blade with an immense amount of his chakra in a short time. What started as a katana almost immediately fattened out to form something much, much larger as he swung out in a horizontal arch. The blade was still very thin, but it was long, about ten feet in horizontal length while in manners of vertical height, it was twenty feet.

Anything next to the boy or behind him would be okay, meaning that Hatsu and the hooded boy were safe. Needless to say, unless the monster was immune to sharpened chakra or could flop to the ground in record time, it was ********. Not to mention Hatsu was holding the thing in place. As the boy let his strike carry on though, it would become obvious that the ice beast wasn't Soraru's primary target. In fact, the strike would continue on whether it hit or miss to absolutely cut through and destroy the wall which the civilians were huddled against, though naturally he was cutting so that the strike would be done above them rather than with them in the way. With the wall blown out, Soraru continued his rush forward whether the ice monster was dead or not. Like mentioned before, he wasn't taking any chances with the lives of the innocent. He swung his arm back, however this time around he threw his katana forward and out the room. The moment it parted from his hand, the tenketsu connection was cut and the blade lost its size increase. His stride continuing, he leaned down when he was close enough and grabbed onto the collars of two villagers. "Everyone grab onto each other! He'd tell the civilians, waiting just a handful of seconds for them to do so. As he took this time to wait, Soraru moved so that his back was facing the wall and the room was in front of him along with the villagers. That way he could both watch to make sure the monster wouldn't get up to anything if it was alive and yank the villagers out with a lot less pressure and pain on his arms. Though, given his plan, it was going to hurt either way.

Osamu Sasori Aburame

Kumogakure // Genin / D-Rank // Medical / Taijutsu // Aburame Clan // Katon/ Doton // Chakra: 294 / 400 // Stamina: 306 / 325 // Insects (Body): 1000 / 1000 // Insects (Gourd) 1296

Osamu continued following theothers, watching them as they and he noticed the odd cloud of mist work its way around the door into another room and heard a loud scream. Walking quickly along behind Hatsu and Soraru, Osamu found the large ice creature with the black orb in its chest menacing a small group of villagers. He then saw Hatsu make a clone and start creating a sort of whirlwind to try to hold the creature in place as she called for the villagers to be evacuated and saw Soraru draw his sword and blow out the wall behind the civilians while attacking the thing before running through and grabbing some vilagers and jumping through the hole in the wall.

Osamu would start calling out his bugs and telling them to form a couple of clones quickly as he sent them to run around the perimeter of the room to the civilians and start getting them either through the hole in the wall or back around the room to the doorway that he and the others had just passed through to relative safety and hopefully warmth. Along with making his clones, Osamu would speak to Hatsu’s orders, “My clones can get the people out along with Soraru, I’m not leaving you to face this thing alone.” Anyone that might be looking at the Aburame’s eyes would see them start to twitch in a multitude of different direction as he concentrated on what he wanted to do. Once he finished molding his chakra, he’d focus his sights on the creature again as the floor around it crumbled away to sand and quickly rose up around it to trap it and hold it completely stationary, to the point of covering its face and head. As he watched his sand engulf the monster, Osamu would walk up beside Hatsu and get ready to fight more if needed.

The wind that whipped into existence around the ice creature had an effect that was perhaps not expected, and certainly not desired. The wind glanced off of its crystalline form, creating a high-pitched ringing that Soraru and Osamu recognized as a louder version of what they had been hearing, but now Hatsu heard it as well. At this close range there was little that could be done to avoid it. As for the cold, being made of ice, the figure hardly noticed the frigid temperature, though the attack did draw its attention away from the villagers.

Fortunately, the creature was slow in most of its movements, and by the time it actually turned to face the group of shinobi, Soraru's attack struck it, cleaving through one of its long arms. Mist poured from the 'wound' but the thing didn't flinch even as the ice fell and shattered, shards skittering across the floor. Ignoring the young samurai, it stepped toward Hatsu and Osamu instead, crossing the distance between them with ease thanks to a wide stride. But, again, thanks to its slow movements, the sand created by Osamu found its way up its remaining limbs, and it was slowed to a halt as it was enveloped completely. For the moment, it didn't move.

Meanwhile, the villagers, although terrified, grabbed each other at Soraru's command, but didn't even wait for him to move, escaping through the hole he'd made in the wall as fast as they could. The hole led to an adjacent classroom rather than the outdoors, keeping them all safe from the horrid cold. Free from the near death situation, they all scattered like quail the second the were through.

After his small struggle with the door and walking in, he noticed that room was colder than usual. He also noted that ice shards on the ground and how it was cold in here as well. 'This weather, it's something I can grow tired of soon' He thought hearing foot steps further inside. These steps were rapid as if they were running. He walked normally unaware of any situation. He followed the sounds of the steps feeling the air getting a bit colder. He pulled his cloak closer, trying to get some extra warmth. 'This doesn't seem right, did I walk into some sort of exercise? If so, I'm not ready for it.' He thought, knowing he hasn't had the chance to be properly trained in anyway. Going in the direction of the noise. He finally came across a room that was emitting a strange glow. As he got closer it was a bit warmer but it didn't feel like fire. In his gut he could feel something was not right now but he moved forward anyways to investigate.

Hatsu Yuki Hattori
Kumogakure Genin
Taijutsu/Ninjutsu 380/565 ---/435

A sharp sound rung through Hatsu's ears as the trio brought their initial strike. Hatsu's energy seemed to drain from the sound, making her dizzy for a moment. She would remember back to how Kaileer was feeling, having been so tired so suddenly, as if by unnatural means. Hatsu Focused hergaze on the ice giant. As Soraru cut a horizontal slice with a chakra blade through the wall and creature, Hatsu forced herself to refrain from cursing at him. Even if his tactic worked, he was endangering their lives by even attacking close to the civilians. Once Soraru and Osamu's clones left with the civilians, Hatsu would turn her head and give out a few orders. "We don't know what this thing can do yet, so keep on your toes. I'll take the front lines for the time being, so don't put yourself in any unnecessary danger. I'm releasing the whirlwind." As Hatsu darted towards the icy giant, she released it from the wind's grasp, then threw up a series of handsigns. Once she was close enough, she would have her Hatsuyuki fall to the creature's feet. Then, chains of water would spring from the could, holding the creature's legs while she made more handsigns. Trying to remember where the dark orb was, she'd have a mental image of when she first saw it in her mind.

Placing her arms by her sides, Hatsu would face her palms downwards to lift herself just above the creature. Then, creating a final set of handsigns she would aim her palms the beast, where she remembered the dark orb to be, and fired a large blast of air towards it. Since she was midair, some of the blast's force would be dampened, propelling her towards the wall above Osamu. She would be ready to catch the wall with her legs as she blasted the air at the monster.

I noticed my eyes kept trailing towards Kaileer and the area where the group had escaped to. Then soon, I felt vibrations on the floor. What was going on? It was coming from the different direction of the group. Instantly, my body became tensed as she was concerned and becoming very protective of the Kage. It was just another person. My eyes scanned him up and down and by the way his body language was showing, he was confused to what's going on. Then I felt it.

A much stronger vibration from the other room. I wasn't going to sit here anymore. Leaning over, I started to tap on the massive teenager cub head. He did not respond. Growling, I shoved his head slightly to wake him up. Nothing. Fed up, my fingers went to his ear as I yanked it, he immediately woke up and I could feel his loud high pitch yelp throughout the room. "Stay, danger happens, you alert." I signed rapidly to him as he flatten his ears but his eyelids stayed awake. Good. With that, I ran down to find the source of the vibration.

Entered into the room, I came into a screeching halt as my body immediately slightly lowered, my nails grew longer and stronger, the pearly white canines elongated to almost fangs. I was still full of anger so I wasn't just going to sit around or wait for the others to notice me. Performed few handseals, a ball of wind started to emerge between my hands. I waited until the people were out of the hole and safety. Once enough chakra had formed, I sent the ball hurling towards the beast.

Soraru was a little irritated by the fact that the citizens all broke up and went their own way, but glad overall that they were just alive. His eyes roamed upwards then to see that the beast he attacked was without an arm. Damn...he meant to cut through the entire thing, but at the last minute, in his reckless attack, he managed to think of what would happen to the structure around them if he made his weapon too long. Taking out more than one wall would cause something to collapse in his direction. While he didn't care all too much for his own sake, he cared for the citizens and their lives.

Besides, it all worked out. The citizens were out of harms way, and now sand piled up around the beast, completely covering it from head to toe. If it weren't for Hatsu's efforts, the beast wouldn't be still long enough for Soraru to cut it and free the citizens. Without the citizens freed, the situation could have gone to hell. Nobody knew what the thing did. Hell, it could have had the power to freeze you just by looking into its...face for long enough. If you could call it that. He didn't want to take the chance. Then if it weren't for the combined efforts, the thing wouldn't be trapped in sand. Or maybe that wasn't the case. After all, the thing was so slow that everything could have happened the same way with or without the aid of one another. But once again. Who knew?

People died every day because someone didn't make a move. Because one single person didn't take a chance. He wasn't going to live his life in guilt, having his dreams taunted by "what could have been"s. When he worked his way to his feet, he noticed just how hard it was to actually do so. The genin's legs were shaking and he felt stupidly tired, but it wasn't enough to take him out the fight just yet. Soraru walked over to where his katana had dug into the ground, and upon grabbing it, it lit with blue chakra once more, almost instantly taking on its previous larger form. His eyes didn't even watch Hatsu as she performed her own techniques to make sure the beast was stilled. He focused completely on the sand, patiently waiting for any movements.

He moved his sword into his main stance, one leg moving forward, the other remaining firmly planting while both hands went back. The katana was facing his right side from behind him, while both hands were just behind the left hip, holding the hilt tight. Any move out of the creature, and nothing would stop him from lashing out to cut the creature in half. Now that citizens were no longer a factor, nothing held him back.

His focus was broken for a mere fraction of a second when Hakanai entered the room, lunging out with a Fuuton technique of some sort. So that would be wind blasting from the top and the front to compress the sand coffin in on the beast more. Or it was a stupid idea that would blow Osamu's sand away. Only time would tell on whether or not his jutsu was durable enough to hold. No matter which way it went, he was the backup. To slice clean through the beast if it escaped, without hesitation.

It was trapped. Done for.

Osamu Sasori Aburame

Osamu couldn’t help but smirk slightly as he watched everything more or less work before cringing as they stupid noise got louder. After a few seconds though, he found a way to mostly tune it out so he could concentrate as he saw the ice creature become engulfed in his sand and watched Hatsu start trying to hold it more with water chains and blast it with a wind jutsu, causing her to fly to the wall above him. it was then that Hakanai appeared, firing another fuuton attack at the creature. Osamu watched everything as he saw Soraru get ready to continue fighting behind the creature and he thought about how to continue.

‘This thing is made of ice.. and I saw some kind of orb thing in its chest roughly where the heart would be on a human.. that appeared to be where Hatsu was targeting, too….’ Osamu thought through in his head as he started twitching his eyes to mold his chakra. As he finished this set of seals, Osamu would raise his hand slightly and clench his fist tightly, causing the pile of sand trapping the ice creature to basically implode in on itself to crush the creature’s body, and possibly the heart-like orb within. He’d then decide to add a little extra, saying quickly to warn the others "It's about to get a little warmer in here..." before twitching his eyes once again for a moment before bringing his hand to his mouth as he took a deep breath. Stepping forward slightly to brace himself, Osamu exhaled hard, his breath and chakra turning to fire as it expanded rapidly into a large fireball which went rushing towards the encased and hopefully crushed ice creature. To Osamu’s thinking, if the desert funeral technique didn’t crush it to bits, the fireball, especially if combined with the fuuton jutsu the others used, would melt it. Either way, the thing should be about done with.

Hatsu, Hakanai, Soraru, and Osamu

Under the onslaught of attacks, the creature stood no chance. Hatsu's strike pierced through its center a moment before it was knocked back a few feet by Hakanai's Bakuhatsu. Finally, with Osamu's hand closing into a fist, the ice within the sand shattered, the fireball following only melting the remaining ice and setting one of the nearby tables on fire. Smoke from the katon technique set off the sprinklers overhead almost instantly, and mist and steam from the remains of the monster quickly filled the room.

With the ice beast now dead, the ringing Hatsu, Osamu, and Soraru all heard faded away. The same could be said for Shu in the room nearby and Kaileer, were he conscious. The mist in the room settled into a thin fog that could be seen jetting from the cracked, fist sized orb that lay in the center of the creature's remains. The longer those in the room stood watching, the more apathetic they would begin to feel, as if they had been drained of their emotion.

Everyone

After a moment, the orb stopped emitting fog and outside the walls of the academy, the wind picked up again as the storm resumed its fury.

Despite her cheerful appearance, inside, Inori was hating this. She was useless like this. There was nothing she could do in her present state to help anyone or do anything. Stomping her foot she rose to her feet and shrugged off her guitar placing it next to the now passed out Kai. Weather or not the large animal understood her she motioned for it to stay. With solemn purpose she made her way though the fog and the academy, taking pains to ensure she did not go very far as she set about gathering the scrolls she wanted. Every few moments she would return to the grouping of fires with a cluster of scrolls of various colors and sizes. Some ranging from the size of her palm and four of which she actually had to struggle with given that they were the size of her torso. One of which she actually had to drag bit by bit given that her arms were already tired from the workout.

Rooting though the pile she found a small palm sized scroll. It contained a cloud based genjutsu, the first of which simply involved channeling her chakra into her throat to amplify her voice. She shrugged her shoulders and decided just to go for it as she formed a simple seal before she began to sing a simple tune. Though when the words came out her voice rang out loudly across the entire academy. Once her tune was finished she smiled a bit and brushed her hair from her face, satisfied with the start of her training.
[1/1]
Taking a moment to compose herself she returned once more to the scroll searching for a suitable jutsu. She quickly found the Okuyuki Katawa [ Depth Distortion ] jutsu desirable as she once more "went for it" forming a seal and bombarding her eyes with chakra as her vision instantly modified. Everything seemed closer and yet farther, clearly her ability to perceive depth was completely destroyed. As she attempted to take a step forward she stumbled a bit when her foot found the ground far sooner than she had saw. Quickly breaking the genjutsu she rubbed her eyes before taking a seat on the floor to allow herself a moment to recover.
[1/1]
Looking upon the next small scroll she discovered not to her surprise that majority of them scrolls around her contained moves that were offensive yet here and there, existed a couple of defensive ones like the one she had planned to learn next. She stood up slowly brushing her hair from her face and steadied herself. Once she caught her breath she formed a single cell and watched intriguingly as her body faded away into flower petals and reformed several feet away.
[1/1]
Adding the previous scroll to the pile on her right, which was steadily growing at this point. She picked up another genjutsu and unrolled it with her thumb. As she read over the intricacies of the genjutsu she noted its myriad of uses and was quite eager to learn it. So taking a deep breath she pulled one of her two kunai from her holster on her thigh and looped her pointer finger though the ring. Holding it between her hands she formed a seal and cast the genjutsu upon herself. Once it was in place she spun the kunai quickly and couldnt help but laugh when she noticed the one had become several. Ending the jutsu quickly she returned her kunai to its holster with a smile and set the scroll off to the side with the others.
[1/1]
The next jutsu she wanted to learn was one she found particularly pleasant to her in fact that both it involved butterflies and a very devious use of explosive tags. She decided for now that it would be best not use the explosives during training. Moving on she formed a single seal and small magenta butterflies peeled off of her skin and started swarming around her before fading away quickly once she released the seal. So far she had learned a total of five new jutsu and was very satisfied with her progress so far.
[1/1]
Tossing that scroll into the steadily growing pile she picked up another one. This one held a more tactical purpose than an actual offensive use. Either way it was one she was certain would come into handy. Taking a seat next to a fire for better reading light she smiled and readied herself for the jutsu. Forming a seal she watched, rather creeped out, as several copies of herself crawled out of the ground to take shape next to her. Useful, but still creepy. Tossing the scoll aside after rolling it back up she continued on.
[1/1]

Picking up the next scrolls she contemplated the ramifications of actually learning and using this jutsu. She knew that if she were performing and to use this genjutsu it would instantly make the concert a hit. But deep down she knew that it would be more because of the illusion instead of her own skill. Though despite the moral conundrum it had its uses outside of the musical industry. Taking a deep breath she focused her chakra into her throat and began to hum out a soft tune. Finishing her tune she allowed her chakra to return to normal before setting the scrolls to the side and continuing yet again.
[1/1]
Picking up the next scroll, one that was actually decently sized, she unrolled it while reading slowly and methodically. This was going to be a more, fun, genjutsu. While she actually doubted its combat capacity she had no doubts that she would find some sort of use for it. Pulling a kunai from her belt she smiled and set it down before her as she cast the genjutsu upon herself once more as always. Though when she went to pick up the kunai she noticed that it had changed form into that of a senbon it even felt like one. Picking up the now senbon kunai she twirled it between her fingers knowing full well that it was in truth a kunai not a senbon but the way the illusion was altering her sense it was a fun change. Releasing the jutsu she rolled the larger scroll up an set it upon the pile next to her.
[1/1]

Picking up a small palm sized scroll from the pile to her left she couldnt help but notice that the pile was slowly getting smaller though the pile itself was still utterly massive, being taller than her when she was sitting down. Opening up the scrolls she realized this was going to be one of those jutsu wasnt it. One of those ones that just suck to have to experience for oneself. With a heavy sigh she just decided to get it over with and poured her charka into her sinus' and the effect was instant. Everything smelled so very horribly bad. Almost to the point of damn near making her vomit. Just as quickly as she started she ended the genjutsu and tossed the scroll into the pile to her right.
[1/1]
Of the scrolls that remained only two were actually genjutsu scrolls. First was one the size of her arm and the other was the size of her torso. Draggin the arm sized one over to her she unrolled it, as before, and began to slowly study the scrolls contents. The premise for the jutsu was to wear down your enemy until their body became more susceptible to the stronger genjutsu. While she liked the idea both in theory and practice she wondered how exactly she would pull that particular flavor of move off. Reading further she decided to put it to the test and began cycling though minor effects she could cast upon herself, numbing of hands, blurred vision, odd sounds things of that nature. Before she even completed the second set she knew it was working because she was both getting irritated and noticing her hearing had dulled a bit and her body was feeling weird. Putting a stop to the flow of chakra within her body she took a deep breath and tried to clam down while rolling up the scroll and hefting it off to the side with the other genjutsu scrolls.
[1/1]

The final genjutsu scroll was a bigin. Using both her arms and legs to drag the scroll to her she stood over it and began unrolling it like a carpet. Taking a seat on the end of the scroll she slowly crawled her way across the scroll stopping every few foot or so to read the next bits about the jutsu. It was a sort of anti-genjutsu, genjutsu. In that it was centered around using chakra to prevent hostile chakra from entering the body. Taking a deep breath and took a seat on top of the scroll with a smile.
[1/2]
Folding her legs one over the other she twisted her fingers into the ram seal and slowly began to circulate her chakra. Given how much was going to be needed for something like this it was going to take a bit to build it up. With each breath she continued to pile more and more chakra until she had what she felt was an appropriate amount. Once she had her level she began to slowly channel it from one sensory receptor to the next. First near her ears, then her eyes, nose, mouth, and finally the hard one. Her skin. Spreading the chakra throughout her body evenly was the difficult task, though it only took her a few tries to get it right.
[2/2]

Rolling up the large scroll she, with no small effort, drug it next to the still growing pile of scrolls she already had. First up was the very beginner set of Raiton. First and foremost however was one that was almost required to prevent injury to herself when using he jutsu. Studying the requirements and methods of the jutsu on the small scroll she took a deep breath and made a mental note of everything involved in the jutsu but did not actually perform it just yet.
[1/1]
Setting the small scroll aside with the rest she picked up another scroll and unrolled it with a nod. The scroll contained the details for a pretty simple Raiton ninjutsu that was purely offensive based. It called for both a change in chakra nature as well as a change in chakra shape. While she could do both pretty easily she was surprised to see both in a jutsu of a lower classification. Running though the seals involved with the jutsu, instead of her normal method, she applied the chakra but did not actually use the jutsu as with before.
[1/1]

Yet again as before she set the scroll to the side and picked up a slightly larger scroll. This one contained the details of another offensive jutsu, one she thought would be quite pretty when used properly. In a sense it allowed the user to create a swarm of ten to fifteen hummingbirds made entirely of Raiton chakra which would seek out their targets. Forming the ram seal she took a deep breath and coated the air around her in her light purple chakra. Once she had built up enough to saturate the area to the specified amount she extended both her hands to the side. As she did so fifteen small purple humming birds appeared to the right, left and above her. With one quick motion she brought her hands together in front of her and the hummingbirds raced across the distance between her and the wall detonating in small electric bursts. Satisfied with her performance she rolled up the scroll and set it aside.
[1/1]

Now came the hard one. Of the scrolls that remained in the pile, there were three torso sized ones, and of the three one was yellow. Dragging it over to her she unrolled it and began the lengthy process of reading over the jutsu. It was easily one of the most complex she had ever tried and would put her skills to the test. Rising to her feet she took a deep breath and began to sing softly,"From shadows, We'll descend upon the world,Take back what you stole." As she sang she began to call up her chakra resulting in a glowing aura of sparking electricity around her body which would protect her from what was to come.
[1/3]

As she allowed her voice to fill the air she called her chakra to action and concentrated it into her hands. Sliding her left leg behind her right she spun in place and extended her arms and unleashed two blasts of raiton which slammed into the wall where she had sent her hummingbirds before,"From shadows, We'll reclaim our destiny and set our future free. And we'll rise above the darkness and the shame, the torture and the pain. Above the ridicule and hate, an the binding of our fate." Spining once more she put herself to the test and hardened her charka into six hard kunai made of pure lighting. With controlled flicks of her wrist she sent them into the wall where, much to her surprise, they continued on through without so much as stopping. Interesting.
[2/2]

Having learned what she wanted to of her first element she slid the scroll aside and picked up another one. This one was a small red scroll which contained the details of a exceptionally simple jutsu of the katon element. All it was, was a pure example of chakra control and change in nature. Taking a deep breath she concentrated her chakra into her finger and, as expected it popped alight much like the flame from a lighter. Shaking her finger quickly she extinguished the small flame and moved the scroll aside with the others.
[1/1]

The next scroll was a tad larger but it was also another example of chakra control. It was something that was a key for her as it would protect her from her own katon as well as that of others. Forming a seal this time instead of simply doing it her normal way she allowed her chakra to change into katon chakra. Next she began to circulate the chakra into and though her body so that it would form an aura around her body. After taking a bit of time to tweak it she got the aura stable enough to be useful.
[1/1]
Shoving that particular scroll aside she pulled one a bit larger still. Rolling it open with a small bit of effort she began reading over the jutsu. She had heard of it many many times as a staple of offensive katon techniques and even in some areas a rite of passage. Smiling softly she let her hands drag across the scroll as she read it with a nod. All in all it wasnt that difficult. Taking a deep breath she quickly raced though the seals ending in the sign of the dragon and exhaled slowly. As she did so she channeled her katon into her throat and exhaled a thick stream of flames that coiled into the shape of a fireball before her. Closing her mouth she inhaled though her nose with a satisfied nod.
[1/1]

Rolling up the scroll she had just used she rolled it over to her "used" pile and then drug the thick scrolls over to her spot before unrolling it like a carpet again as before. She had chosen this specific scroll and thus this specific jutsu for a very particular reason. While its direct offensive capability was indeed useful, and quite potent. What it truly did was set things up to combine with things down the road. Sitting on her hands and knees at one end of the scroll she walked forwards slowly, reading the scroll as she went.
[1/2]

Truthfully speaking she wasnt actually sure it would be a good idea to legitimatly fire this jutsu off inside of the building. From what she understood, its punching power was immense and given the brittle nature of the walls due to the ice she knew full well that it would end up causing runaway collapse. Not a good idea. So she would do as before. Taking a deep breath she filled her lungs with her chakra, converted it to katon until she had the proper amount. Slowly practiced the handsigns and once she had them down, exhaled slowly though her nose. Though much to her enjoyment as she did so two small jets of flame shot from her nose making her look something akin to a cute little dragon.

Half the blast knocking Hatsu backwards, she caught herself on the wall, pushing off it with her feet into a combat roll to break her fall. The creature now dead, she turned to the other three. "Soraru and Osamu, I want the two of you to go back and check on the others. I don't know if this was what was making everyone tired, but we need to keep an eye on those who cannot. Stay together, I want neither of you getting caught alone." Hatsu would notice the new girl with white hair behind Osamu, a new arrival. Remembering back to before, the weird way she was talking and now the late arrival to battle, Hatsu wondered if there was something wrong with the girl. As she passed by her, Hatsu would speak to the white haired girl. "Nice shot. Why don't you help me search the rest of the building? We don't know what else may be in here." Hatsu would then exit the room, and keep checking rooms for anything suspicious or out of place.

Tsumetai [ Cold to the Touch ]: The skin of each Shinsetsu clan member is chilled; producing a refreshing, almost intoxicating aura. This aura does not stretch far from one's person, and only the Shinsetsu and those in direct contact with him/her can truly appreciate the feeling. Because of this attribute, humidity is a foreign concept to the Shinsetsu, and only the most extreme of heats will cause those within tsumetai's effect to break a sweat. Additionally, this consistent cold has weathered their skin and innards, providing an internal and external resistance to freezing temperatures. Although not exactly topical, it should be noted that thanks to their relaxing aura, the Shinsetsu are considered some of the most desirable lovers in the world.

Shu noticed the sound had finally stopped. With that, he rose his massive head and closed his eyelids. Now he looked like a big beast resting. He still have a small sprout of a mane for a teenager cub. Purring loudly, it would send vibrations throughout Kaileer's body. Cat purr were known to help their owner body so perhaps this one would as well.

Breathing heavily from the build up anger and frustration consumed inside of me, I yelped slightly when the creature had exploded, caused me to duck without thinking. It was a respond. Not long after, the sprinkles came on and started to put out the fire. My lips curled upwards into a growl but it faded just as quick. I immediately got dizzy. My heart and blood was rushing from the anger so fast and when that emotion was gone, it hit my body physically. Placed a hand on my forehead, I glanced over towards the blonde hair boy I never met who proceeded to do what Hatsu had asked him to do without my knowing. It seemed that he was going towards the people along with Soraru. With a shrug, I turned and faced a female, shorter than I. I watched her lips moved but didn't understand any of it. She exited the room and didn't go towards where Kaileer was.

With a scratch of my wild mane, I headed back to the room and saw that Shu's ears wasn't flatten anymore. My eyebrow rose. Something was bothering him earlier. But what? Ah well. Doesn't matter. Time to clean up this messy place. But first, it was my job as a medic to check on the Kage. My hand extended to touch his arm rather rougher than I usually would but it didn't register in my mind as I started to use the diagnosis chiyudo.

With the beast dead in a display of sand and fire, Soraru shrunk his weapon down to its normal size, exiting his prime position and merely standing straight up. His eyes took note of the mist, but moreso the core in the middle of the room. It wasn't completely destroyed, and that immediately posed a problem in the boys mind. When Hatsu walked over to speak to him, he gazed at her in a bit of disinterest. Still he nodded, if only to humor her and send her on her way. Honestly he didn't care much for what she wanted him to do. Osamu managed to kill the creature, he was more than enough to cover for everyone. Soraru had other things to focus on, like his ever present starvation and overall recovering his strength. Fighting had taken quite a bit from him, however even before that it felt like something had been weighing him down. Given that it stopped when the beast died, that meant its presence was stressing him out or it was a very annoying ability. Given that Soraru didn't really get any screws loose over anything but his own personal problems, he easily figured that the latter was the proper answer.

When Hatsu spoke to Hakanai, he couldn't help but...not really care to correct the woman, to let her know that the dark skinned shinobi was in fact deaf and unable to hear any of her praise. He just felt like it wasn't his problem, that speaking up about it would waste any energy that the boy had left. Soraru needed to recover, he didn't have the time or energy to worry about the problems of anyone else.

But first, he had to handle something.

Walking over to where the core of the dead creature was, he grabbed his katana by its blunt end and knelt to smash the hard hilt into the core repeatedly until it was completely shattered. With that done, he stood back up and stretched, putting his sweet Reito Kumo back in her saya in the process while stepping towards the hole in the wall. Soraru brushed some rubble away with his foot and stepped through to the other room in the academy. One that was a lot more intact and comfortable looking, despite the...creative construction nearby. Sitting down on the first comfortable looking chair, table, or cushion of any sort he could find, the Genin would lean back after and groan, feeling his stamina come back to him slowly. For the moment he'd close his eyes, ignore the hunger in his stomach, and sing to himself. "Sora kara, owari no neiro ga, sekai o ooi, hibiku dake." His voice was definitely a grand one in terms of singing, however he didn't always like an audience for this particular song. He sang to the masses the words that they wanted to hear, whatever made them happy. This particular song was the only thing he'd sing to himself, or those he'd care for.

However given how he was, who he was, the odds of him even wanting to grow close and bond were slimmer than the border which leaned on him breaking both Bushido and Hakemoto standards. An anomaly indeed.

Soraru's own daydreaming had led him into a daydream of sorts. His eyes were open, however all he could see were things similar to hazy reflections of a home that he wanted nothing to do with anymore. His fathers stern, tired gaze. His mom, who put on the appearance of someone who was eternally "just fine", never enveloped in troubles or upset, however her eyes which bordered on the brink of empty let him know just how saddened she truly was. If there was anyone he regretted leaving behind, it was her. She may have found some kind of solace in the fact that Soraru was living his own life now, however the thought of her possibly feeling more alone gripped his heart on some nights. His father, the man practically running the Land of Iron, was nobody now except for someone who the boy despised. The things that man had ordered upon his sons escape haunted young Musunde in his travels.

All the way up to the point where he had to come up with a fake name: Soraru, and make sure that nobody got close enough to know the truth again.

Soraru gazed blank eyes at the shimmering visualization of his parents and home up until his stomach grumbled loudly, breaking the minor hallucination. "Ugh..." He exclaimed, finally getting up from the spot in which he was sitting and walking over to the nearest exit of the room. Gone from his mind were concerns from the others, or even worry of that ice creatures and whether or not there were more of them. All he could think about was "I'm insanely hungry and I need to eat."

So with that, without a word to the others, Soraru sought the nearest exit to whichever building of the academy he was in to head out to the streets.
