((Edit: Next time! Henrietta vs. the battle company!))
Henrietta cradled the injured Darumi, the wound on her arm meaning nothing to her now. The wall to the building had been destroyed but she'd been too into the battle to care at the time.
What was she?
She looked up when she heard and angrily "ahem!"
"S-s-s-s
"Miss, do you realize what you've done?" asked one man, dressed like a scientist.
"I-i'll pay for it I just-
"Hmm. No no no, I have a better idea." A janitor spoke up this time. "If you can defeat this company in battle, you can get away free."
"What?!" a Clerk shouted.
"Well, look, if we all lose a battle we'll be losing the money it'd cost to fix the wall anyways, right? But this way if she loses we get a free wall and a chance to battle a trainer."
There was a silence.
"Well, that was a great battle just now," a man chimed in.
"Settled then," the janitor spoke. "Now come on, little lady, there's not a whole lot of choice." He approached her. "But first let's get that arm taken care of."
"H-hum.." Henrietta recalled Darumi and stood up.
Crap...

((And now! The Battle Company! Feel free to skip to the bottom, I'm just gonna have fun with this before I stay up all night working.))
The forty-seventh floor of the Battle Company. Henrietta's arm now held a bandage around it. Covered in dried mud, frizzy hair and embarrassing clothing, she looked like some street rat.
Still, this was just another step forward.
Today was still the easiest day she'd had since the start of her journey. All she had to do now was fun. No prize money, but she got out of fixing a wall.
Before her stood a male Clerk, a pokeball in his hand. The battle environment? An office.
Her obvious choice was her only uninjured Pokemon - Frate.
Let loose from his Pokeball, the battle began, against the enemies Timburr.
His foot moved, hitting something, a rock? Henrietta's eyes scanned the battle area. It was full of things, for example, rocks.
Here they came, Henrietta was ready. "Iron Defense."
The rocks hit the harder Frate and then he was off. "Rock Slide."
A shift in the rocks from a powerful appendage removed his footing and he tripped.
Frate was upon him, over him with the order to "Head Butt". Timburr threw more rocks, hitting the hardened Frate before he crashed down his head upon Timburr's.
Now was a bad positioning for Timburr, with Frate over him.
"Keep it up!"
Now came his head again as Timburr focused his energy for his next blow. WHAM! Frate wobbled, but raised his head again.
Then came Timburr's last attack, Pound. The fists hit, but Timburr was out when the head connected. Still, it had been a critical blow.
Frate stepped back from his opponent as Timburr was recalled.
"Good one!"
Henrietta was biting her lip. She'd grown less focused with all of these battles, with everything she'd endured. She needed to keep focused. Her eyes narrowed.
Then her next opponent stepped up.
"Let's go!"
Henrietta didn't recall Frate, she'd need his boost in power. In fact, now she'd released all of her Pokemon. They were injured, but she had to press on, right? She bit her lip, hard. The taste of blood filled her mouth as she found her resolve.
They had to win, right? It killed her inside to throw them into these battles, that's why her focus was wavering. But that had caused Frate to get beaten up.
No more mistakes..
Herdier vs. Socant was the next battle.
Socant had only endured a simple water gun, he was ready for battle. Now she just had to take down the enemy.
"Electroweb."
"Retaliate."
Did it work like that? Was his power going to be doubled because of Timburr's defeat? Henrietta couldn't risk it. The web was launched and Herdier charged through it, slowing down but he lost no power.
"Jump!"
Socant was up, over Herdier, landing on his head.
"Bug Bite!"
Socant bit down as Herdier attempted to twist his head to bite the tick Pokemon. His swinging head made it difficult, but Socant's fangs locked in.
"Electroball!"
ZAP!
Herdier gave a cry and fell.
Shocked to its core, Herdier was defeated. Socant was ready to keep going. He'd taken no hits, so Henrietta couldn't disagree.
But what did they really think about it?
Henrietta's teeth bit harder, her eyes narrowed. The tinge to her cheeks was gone.
The next opponent was Roggenrola. A bad typing again.
"Okay!" He used an item then, a special defensive item.
Roggenrola's special defense increased, but this gave Henrietta a chance to attack.
"Fury Cutter."
Socant was off in this time, slashing Rogenrola as he got the item applied.
Then it was on. The appendage came down and Socant jumped back, barely avoiding it.
"Keep it up!"
The slash came as Socant jumped at Roggenrola, and Roggenrola jumped to meet him.
They clashed, Socant was driven back but Roggenrola fell.
Henrietta was stunned. Were the trainers here really weak? This was a battle company wasn't it?"
No, she couldn't say that. Henrietta had less than half a dozen challenging Pokemon battles since she'd become a trainer. Wayne, Robby, The Striaton gym battles...
Was that it? Unless she was fighting for her life, this was easy. No, it felt incredibly easy.
Was she that good?
What did that mean?
Her next opponent.
"Two on two," she announced, releasing Petilil and Cottonee.
Henrietta's second was Melty. Socant and Melty.
[You're actually fighting?] Melty asked.
[Quiet.] Socant said.
Both of them were injured, from previous battles. Top that off with the tackle Socant had taken.
Giga Drain and Poison Powder.
"Incinerate!" was Melty's order, the fire spraying out and destroying the powder before it could reach. Still, the Giga Drain shot through toward Melty.
Joltk took it for him with a Screech.
A trickle of blood ran down Henrietta's chin as she watched. She couldn't afford this. Her Pokemon all looked tired out, tired of battling.
"Guys... You can quit if you want." she told them.
Melty cackled lightly. [No way.]
Joltik was shaking. Breathless, but he couldn't hide it like Melty.
Petilil and Cottonee had been torched, but they were already going.
Another drain move, helped by Cottonee. It's power boosted meant nothing good for the duo.
"Dodge!"
The Pokemon jumped to the side, Socant releasing an electroweb. The two Pokemon dodged opposite ways, Melty firing an Ember at the Petilil.
It exploded against the grass type and with a cry, she fell backward.
Ahhh, my sweet. If only that was you.
Socant confronted the Cottonee only to be charmed.
A blush tinged across his cheeks, eyes diverting.
Cottonee grinned, forming an energy ball.
And then she too as blasted away by Melty.
[Keep your head focused.] Melty said.
Socant blinked and shook his head. [R-right.]
Then came the next opponent, three Basculin.
"Frate," Henrietta called him up.
The three Pokemon stared each other down.
[Can you keep going?] Melty taunted Frate.
Iron Defense was first, his stats raised. He was more defensive now.
Melty released a Night Shade - Scary Beam - and Socant launched an electroweb to follow up.
The enemy Pokemon powered through it. Aqua Jet.
They couldn't dodge, too fast.
Was this the end?
Melty released a Smog, minimizing under the assault. They'd all targeted him, huh? Weakest link?
The Smog exploded as the Basculin traveled over it, Frate was above them with a Smack Down.
Only one Basculin survived it.
He landed a bit aways, twitching when he turned to face Socant.
Only to receive an Electroball.
The Pokemon only seemed more tired now. The battles were dragging on, way too long. Efficient strategies meant everything.
"On to the next floor you go," said the male Clerk she'd just defeated.
Henrietta boarded the elevator to go up. Where stronger opponents resided.

((And now, for part two!
Totally needs more story, but this is just me avoiding work.))
Socant faced his new opponent, Woobat, on the next floor.
Henrietta wished she could fight in there place, she gripped the handle of her shinai, eyes focusing on the battle.
They were fighting for her. She couldn't give up now.
"Future sight."
s**t.
The attack was ready. This battle had to end. Now.
Electroweb went out by command, Woobat flying over it and creating a gust. An Electroball was fired into it, burning a hole in the winds and striking the Woobat who couldn't see beyond them.
A cry as he fell backward, winds ceasing. Joltik was upon him. Too late.
The future strike struck as his teeth came down for a Bug Bite. A muffled cry of agony as the two fell, Woobat first, Socant biting into him. Hard.
Henrietta was forced to pull back Socant. She'd used up all of her free hits of his higher remaining health.
"Melty."
Versus Munna.
"Will O Wisp!"
Psybeam was dodged as Melty minimized further, the beam flying overhead. The Will O Wisp traveled under it, hitting Munna.
An X Special was used by the trainer in this time, the beam intensifying, risking hitting Melty who had to minimize further.
It was too close, Munna was shifting to put it on him.
"Hex."
It exploded against Munna. The powered up hit, super effective. It was over in one. An inch before Melty would've been done in.
Henrietta was sweating, shaking, adrenaline.
"Frate!"
Versus Sewaddle.
The last Iron Defense further boosted the weakened Frate. Then it was an exchange. Rock Blast, five blasts of rocks, versus Razor Leaf.
The blades of grass whizzed by as Frate shot down the tiny bug.
It was an easy win, that one. Bombarded instantly, the teensy bug was done in.
"Three on three!" was the announcement of the next opponent. A well dressed man. He must be the man in charge.
The final challenge.
"Socant, Melty, Frate."
Versus Pansear, Pansage and Panpour.
One on side, Flame Burst. On the other, Water Gun.
The trio dodged, no only Socant and Frate did. Melty jumped right into the Flame Burst.
It engulfed him and he felt the increase in power. He grinned madly.
For Frate, Pansage was upon him with a Vine Whip.
The whips swung out, only to be torched apart. Frate had frozen still, and Pansage was burned down by Flamethrower.
One down.
The remaining monkeys were moving now.
Socant released an Electroball toward Panpour, and he jumped over it. Acrobatics and he came down, crushing Socant into the floor.
He was done.
Henrietta felt her stomach twist. Butterflies. Fear. Stay focused
Pansear was upon Frate now. Melty was upon Frate's head. Frate dodged back as Pansear came at him. Landing, Pansear jumped, acrobating into him. Frate took the hit, it set Melty up.
His appendages strained, against the ground, he was more defensive, but his body was weak. Night shade blew Pansear up, but he was over it, coming down with another acrobatics for Melty.
Melty dodged, it hit Frate, appendages strained further, he was about to collapse.
Frate blasted him again, taking him off of Frate and into the air.
It was over, one last shot - Hex, and he was done.
And then Melty was blasted by a powerful blast of Water Gun, taking him off of Frate and into a wall.
He was down.
Frate spun around to face Panpour.
They began to exchange blasts, Water Gun and Rock Blast. Dodging each move and returning fire. Frate felt himself slowing down, he had to act fast.
A shot at the feet, Panpour was over it. A clear Power Gem and Panpour fell. He twisted around to land when another hit his feet, causing him to trip into the rocks.
When he looked up he'd see the appendage coming down.
He was crushed.
Henrietta had returned her fainted Pokemon.
"Ready to face the chairman?" the man asked.
Wait, this man hadn't been it. Henrietta looked over her Pokemon. Frate could barely stand, Darumi was in the same boat, but less wobbly. His fiery eyebrows were almost completely gone. A sixth of their normal size.
"Y-yes.." Henrietta was hesitant. She frowned. "Wait."
She stepped to her Pokemon. "You guys, we can back out still. You don't have to fight."
[I'm.. ready..] Darumi panted. He wasn't moving around all hyper like.
[Y..eah...]
Henrietta felt her heart break watching it. They both nodded, and stepped passed her, toward the chairman's door.
"Dammit." Her eyes were full of tears. She wiped them and turned around. It was time.
relevant
Inside the chairman's office. The Janitor sat behind the desk.
"Oh! You made it!" He grinned and stood up. Henrietta was stunned.
"I like to dress as a janitor to trick the arrivals. Sadly most Castelian trainers know the secret. Still, if you win here you get to go free."
Henrietta simply stared.
"Are you ready?"
She nodded.
Two on two, Trubbish and Minccino.
Darumi's fangs and hands were alight with fire. Frate was at the ready. The Pokemon moved, always under orders.
this would have to end. Brutally and quickly. Efficiently.
Gunk Shot came and Frate was over it, Darumi on his back.
Swift came, Frate was bombarded, offset and falling. He couldn't dodge the next Gunk Shot.
But Darumi was free, jumping off and landed fist first upon the Trubbish with a Fire Punch. He grabbed the TRubbish with a burning fist and threw him toward Minccino who tore the Pokemon apart with a Hyper Voice.
Darumi met it with an Incinerate, the air burned away, Mincinno was torched.
Braced, arms up, Mincinno looked up to see Darumi, tired and weak, coming down, smashing him down into the floor with a Fire Punch.
The flames faded, Mincinno's lips parted.
The punch exploded with the force of it from before, Rock Smash. The ground underneath Mincinno cracked and broke, and gave way. Mincinno fell to the lower floor.
It was over.
Frate and Darumi recalled, Henrietta faced the chairman.
"We normally use weaker Pokemon in order to test trainers," he said. "It's all a part of data collection. You've hurt and helped us today, but it doesn't matter. You won, a feat not many can accomplish."
Henrietta nodded slowly. "Th-thank you."
"You're free to go." He smiled bitterly.
And Henrietta ran. She had to get to the Pokemon Center. No, she was banned from there. She had to get someone to help her Pokemon. Her xtransciever was broken, though. She needed something else.
She needed someone, some stranger, if she couldn't find her friends.
Henrietta ran for the center.

Reid straightened out his blue gakuran as he rounded the corner of a busy street on the wharf, walking towards the pokemon center. It was almost time for the team to meet up once more, but he still hadn't found Salieri. The girl kept moving around: everytime Jaiden's Skarmory got video feed on her, she ducked off to somewhere else.
Dealing with the energetic type was the worst. They never stayed in one place for too long. Fortunately, he knew she hadn't been to the pokemon center since before noon. If she was still training, sooner or later she would have to come back.
He looked down to check his watch as he kept a busy pace, having just left the scene of the trap left for Lancer. Almost 3 o'clock. Time flies by when you have lot of task mastering to do.

Paul feels a bit of excitement in the air, an energy he can't well enough explain, but being in a city he isn't exactly surprised. Stepping out of the cab onto the sidewalk infront of the pokemon center, Paul pays the cab driver. Closing the door behind he he walks towards the front doors of the center. Hopefully the nurse could be quick in repairing the beasts, secured in a near comotose state within their minimized pokeballs.

((My first Flashback whee )) Using the corner lamppost to swing around the corner like he did back in the alleyway, Tk was able to keep his speed as he rounded the corner after Lancer and the ranger Crofton. Next thing though, the man had his venamoth start attacking Lancer. That wasnt gonna fly, Tk's initial thought was to send out either Iron Hide or spike to aid in Lancer's defense. But Crofton, Lancer and himself were all in a constant motion. Neither Iron Hide nor Spike could keep with them at there current speed. Tk fondled a third pokeball on his trainer belt... [Flashback/] A Silent Takamaru excited the bathroom, clearly deep in thought. He could hear voices of other trainers out in the hallway that connected to his room at the Pokemon center. He'd just gotten back from the now charred Pinwheel forest. Hiba had shown up out of no where. 'Why's he here, why now?' its not that Tk was upset that his best friend had shown up, it was the manner that he'd shown up. Right after a fight with plasma, a fight they could have used an experienced battler in. At this particular moment in time Hiba was absent from the room, outside on the phone with a mysterious some one. The room around Tk was dim, his head hurt, so much happened in that day. dragging his feet across the carpet he'd come to his sling back pack laid out on the bed. the previous night he was told that if he couldn't obtain the basic badge that he'd be forced to quite his journey. but if he could get the badge, he could continue. however, his mother had decided that she'd take his backpack and restock it in the outcome that he could obtain the badge. Apparently She'd made a stop at his room in the Pokemon center before leaving for driftvale city with Kari. 'Guess she figured i could win...' his thought went back to the ablaze pinwheel forest. he shuddered at the thought. 'No one knew it would end like that...'Tk began going through his re-stocked sling pack. There was a new town map, some basic traveling items (stored in item capsules), healing items for his Pokemon, some cloths, and other assorted items. But one thing that caught his eye was the heavy ball with a note on it. Picking it up it read, being as you plan on continuing your journy, at least take Her with you.
~ Love mom In small parenthesis it said Sariaa Small smile tugged at his lips, 'Thanks mom..'[/Flashback] No, he couldn't use her right yet, he wasn't sure what she was capable of. so instead, he'd kick up his speed. "Ne Ne! Leave him alone!!" Tk yelled at the Ranger, we wasn't sure he could even hear him. Meanwhile, Lancer attempted to frantically dodge the sticky strings. he jumped, ducked and dodged the first few, but the fourth hit its mark on his legs. it would seem that he'd be immobile, however, a moment later he was off again, this time using his small arms to scurry across the ground. "Ra Ra Karra blast!" [Haha! you'll never catch me weirdo!] he'd call to crofton, still completely oblivious to Tk pursuing them.

Crofton had no idea that Takamaru was keeping up with him, or that the trainer was there in the first place. So he thought it was a good idea to tell Sazu to "Tale the wheel! It's Ranger time!"
The Venomoth started steering with a combination of String Shot and Psychic while Crofton climbed into the shotgun seat. Lancer was still keeping pace on his arms. "This is incredible!"
He swung the whip overhead, having tied it into a lasso. "Are you seeing this, Sazu? The little guy's quick!"
Crofton swung the lasso forward as Sazu kept the car by the Karrablast's side. The rope loop flew towards Lancer, and if it surrounded him then Crofton would tighten the loop try to reel Lancer into the Rangermobile.
****
Reid, who was too busy looking at his watch to look up, found himself on the ground after accidentally running into Henrietta.
He frowned as he began to get up. Careless. Accidents meant attention, and surely enough there were one or two people on the sidewalk who stopped to look at Reid and the girl he fell into, who was facing away from him. Yet they didn't offer to help them up. Bastards.
"Sorry," he curtly said as he stood up and extended a hand to-
Henrietta?
Reid's expression froze. One of the last people he wanted to run into during this stage of the plan. Oh no.

Indeed, Lancer was pretty incredible in the fact that he could move just as fast on his hands as well as his feet. but alas, his luck had run dry as the lasso ensnared him.
The small bug Pokemon wiggled fiercely, biting at anything that was in range of him, weather it be Crofton, the Ranger mobile upholstery, Sazu, anything. after a while if nothing seemed to be working in his attempt to free himself, he'd resort to bargaining.
"Ra Ra, Kara bla bla" [C'mon, im not that interesting of a Pokemon. there are tons of other choices, like there's this Guy back in that ally way selling Tauros. he's a bad guy though, your a ranger, go get him! Not me!] As it turns out Lancer is terrible at bargaining.
________________________
The sun shone brightly as Hiba walked out towards the harbor. he'd tried getting a hold of Tk Via Xtranseiver, but to no a vale. So now, after Getting Jaws healed, he walked over to his and Henrietta's previous battle field. It was still covered in mud from Jaws mud sport attack.
"alright, you know what to do, Jaws" Hiba said to the big Jaw Pokemon that walked along side him. Jaws would nod his head then unleash a water gun at the ground, clearing the mud away. He'd do this until his mess was clear.
While he worked Hiba would look around the pier. the muscled youth now wearing only a pair of Red swimming trunks with black wave decals, a pair of sunglasses and flip flops.
"Alright, time to swim!" he called to his Pokemon. whom each cheered back in there own unique ways. with Jaw's done cleaning the mud away from the pavement, he'd dive off the pier along with Hiba and Appu. Blaze However would open his mouth, rolling his tongue in a mighty yawn before slumping down next to Hiba's Sling pack and Xtranseiver, his tail wagging.
This was but a way to kill some time as he waited for Tk to find him. un like every one else, Hiba was only here to support Tk, not compete in the league tourney, so there really was no reason for him to trainer his Pokemon.

Henrietta didn't take the hand. After the two fell she felt the initial urge to apologize. But then, she had more important things to do.
So, as Crofton had his hand extended, Henrietta placed her own on the ground. On her hands and knees she pleaded, "please, help my Pokemon!"

Crofton caught the Karrablast in his arms after reeling him in, and then struggled to keep his snapping jaws away at arms length. Lancer had already nibbled a small hole in upholstery of the Rangermobile, anyway. It cost a lot to keep the Rangermobile looking nice.
Sazu slowed down the jeep at a red light, preparing to roll it into a nearby parking lot when the light turned green again. "Stop! I don't understand what you're saying!" he told the Karrablast as it squirmed in his hands. "Now can you hold still while I tag you and then release you into a nature preserve?"
****
Reid paused. He looked around. Just leaving Henrietta on the ground would give him a bad image. Not to mention that he already had too much of an interaction with her to ignore her now. Talking face to face with her was never part of the plan. He had to improvise.
Which meant act natural. Or as natural as he could. "What do you mean?"

"They're hurt, b-but I got banned from the Pokemon Center." Her head hung, hair falling down around her head, cutting off her face from view.
"I-i can pay you, whatever you like, just please, help them!" Then she looked up, and that muddy faced, frizzy haired, bloody lipped girl was crying.
