Honō's smile grew a little strained but he said nothing on the topic, still feeling the burning dissaproval of the head family of his clan. He had tried. He snorted, however, at the honesty of his cousin's nickname for him. "Funnily enough I was the only one who didn't say 'no' to him." Honō offered a friendly smile and small word of 'sure' at the nickname, not knowing what he was meant to say. He blinked, head rearing up slightly in surprise as Honsho blocked his vision of the ground. "Oh, uh, sorry?" He tried to smile, chuckling from nerves once again. Honō shifted back, his spine pressed against the wall. He gave an awkward smile, unsure what to say and hoping this new position was better.

His apology caused Honsho's smile to droop slightly and she straightened abruptly to match his stiff posture "Hon." she said before relaxing again. Her many layered shirts shifted and she tugged at them, pulling the hems down to their respective levels, going up on her toes so that she was closer to his height as she spoke "You seem like the kind of person who knows a lot." she settled back on her heels and gave him a semi-serious look. Semi-serious because she pulled her over shirt up over her nose and used her index finger and thumb to make a circle which she peered at him through "What.....is the nearest village to us?!" she declared, clearly goofing around and pretending to be questioning him. Honsho's curls ticked her chin as they bunched up by her collar, her gaze bright and laughing as she met his awkward smile.

Honō pressed his lips into a smile, trying to come up with something to say but his hectic running mind was running with blanks and obviously awkward phrases. "Oh, ah, not really, no. Random things, a little bit." He shrugged. Honō blinked as Honsho altered her clothing, making fake glasses with her fingers and jokingly asking him a random trivia question. Ahh, bugger - he was horrible at geography. "Haha," He chuckled, hoping she wasn't actually looking for an answer. "Geography? I'm horrible at geography. Without a map, anyway." He joked, deflecting.

Dropping her hands to her sides, forming them into fists that she planted on her hips, Honsho lifted her chin to give Honō a piercing gaze. She knew plenty about being nervous and plenty about not knowing how to interact with people "Well, it's one of two villages. The closest is actually Kirigakure but Gimangakure is pretty near to us too." she pulled her collar down so it wasn't stretched over her nose anymore and held up a finger, cocking her head to the left as she spoke "You know, you need to know geography if you plan to go anywhere ever." she pointed out. She used a finger to rub at one of the three scars under her left eye, shifting her hair as she did so. The scars ran over her eye and up into her hair line, their beginnings unseen "And I know random things too." she smiled, this one a little more personal. Her expression was quiet now and soft, her nose turning red as she spoke "I know that quiet people need friends." Honsho loved her sister but Himito wasn't outgoing. And when she was, it was in a regal and all encompassing, nearly smothering, type that tended to insult people. As such, being twins, Honsho didn't have many friends "And as your friend, new friend hopefully if you'll accept my friendship, I feel it necessary to point out" Honsho pointed down at a corner of his shirt where a smudge of dust marred his otherwise smart appearance "That you have dirt on your shirt."

He heard the aspiring strings of a musician...and was that Hakanai? My, she seemed rather, for lack of a better term, fierce at the moment. He'd have liked to catch up but he felt getting in her vicinity may not be the smartest thing currently, and as he recalled like himself she was as deaf as he was color blind...where was that female feline she was so close to that was her translator? Toso would hear a sudden 'what's up?' thus bringing his attention to someone he did know. The person in question being nathaniel. Everyone seemed so out of reach. Toso would begin to think of a way to remedy this...one that didn't involve getting up and walking...because where was the fun in that? [Squid-Twist 1/2]
Toso would scratch his chin before he thought of something on the fly. If his arms could stretch why not his body? From there it was only a little bit of concentration, a few hand signs, and couple of bloops. From here Toso could feel his whole body resonate. If rubber had feelings he wondered if this was how it felt. Suddenly what sounded like elastic stretched. Toso would then extend himself almost unsettlingly next to Nathaniel's ear "Bloop, Not much," The squid man would then snap back into position with cartoonish tween. If he had stretched any further his clothes would have no doubt torn at the seams. Something he'd have to consider. [Squid-Twist 2/2]
It was then Toso would notice Honsho. He had something to give her. One was an apology and the other would remain a secret. However, she began to converse with what seemed like an emaciated woman? Or was that a man? It was hard to tell from this angle. Toso not being the kind of individual to rightly interrupt he'd wait until their conversation would end and instead take up conversation with the boy he might've spooked. "Lovely day is it not Bloop. Bloop bloop bloop." When it came to relative positions Toso was closest to Nathaniel a good few steps away from Honsho and Hono and furthest from Inori. His bloops however, resonated throughout the room as the number of people still wasn't enough to become chatter. Mayhaps it was ruining the lovely guitar players cadence.

•Mystic Hero: The user is much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into their personal arsenal. Through their great devotion to this path the user can cast ninjutsu without hand seals while wielding a weapon, D at genin, C at chunnin, B at Jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.

Honō blinked, worried that his, admittadly weak, attempt at covering his lack of knowledge was uncovered when Honsho suddenly gave him a rather intimidating look, despite her top still covering the lower half of her face. "Ah, yeah, I guess so." Green eyes followed her hand move to touch her facial scars, but he didn't ask. Felt like it was something best... he couldn't word it. It had no right to being menthioned than if she had a streak of pink in her hair. Yeah, like that. Like asking 'how did you get that pink in your hair?' Honō watched, suddenly feeling a gnaw of worry as Honsho's overly friendly demeanor shifted to something more serious. Green eyes darted away and back again, the mention of quiet people needing friends striking him in the chest. But then she was pointing at him - his lower half. "Huh?" His head bowed and hands went to his robe, quickly spotting the soot. "Ah... from the workshop, probably..." He frowned, carefully brushing at the spot, not wanting to rub it in any deeper. He paused at sudden wierd noises - 'bloop?' He didn't want to stare, so went back to the spot.

The now-orphaned young Aburame would wander into te Academy, a sullen look still on his face as he looked around at the few people in the area. He didn’t really feel like talking, but if someone tried to talk to him, he’d be as pleasant as he could manage in his depressed state. Finding a corner, the genin would sit down off to the side and wait for someone to appear for more orders.

Watching Honō fuss with the spot, Honsho smiled slightly to herself, pleased that her actions hadn't made him want to leave at least. But he didn't seem to know how to deal with the soot and she tilted her head to watch him try and clean it "Workshop? Are you a blacksmith? Or a craftsman of some sort?" she asked, reaching into her own pockets to see if she had something that might help him clean his shirt. As she checked a blooping noise resounded in the academy, much closer than she expected, and she glanced over towards Toso. He appeared to have settled to speak to the first boy, one she faintly recognized but couldn't quite place despite the bright green hair. She gave Toso a faint smile, more out of politeness than knowing he would see it. Honsho felt a mild twinge of bad manners at not speaking to him first since they had met previously but she wasn't sure how to handle his oddities in a not life threatening situation. Because, honestly, was he the same in a situation not dire? He seemed to be and if he seemed to be, then maybe his reactions and actions weren't...well, the point was he was even odder than her normally outgoing nature. She did hope he hadn't hurt himself at all when he threw himself out a window You didn't see him at the hospital so he must have been fine. Even if he wasn't, he is now. and with that though, Honsho turned her attention back to Honō "Its not too noticeable, you know." she pulled her hands out of her pockets, empty handed, and put them together in front of her lips "Really, Hon, if you don't bother it, I doubt anyone but me will notice." And she'd only noticed as a means of attempting to move along the conversation, not intending to cause him to frown like he did "Do you often work in dirty places in nice clothing? It seems to me that you should have a particular set of dirty clothes for working in dirty areas." she pulled on a curl, tugging her hair back down around her cheek.
xxxxx Nathaniel had expected some resistance to his conversation attempt, but he definitely didn't think he'd see a man stretch to his face to answer. Luckily, the medic avoided jumping out of his skin at the strange assault on his senses (did he hear elastic snap?), but that made him tense up. He didn't relax until the flexible man returned to his position, which gave Nathaniel time to realize he actually did know the fellow ninja. Still, the name escaped him. He furrowed his brows as he ran through a list of names that began with a t-o, since he knew it had to be something along those lines.
He turned to listen as ... Toso finished talking. "Could be a worse day," Nathaniel offered. It was a little difficult to be optimistic in such an environment, but he was determined to prevent such a murky start to a possible mission. The genin turned as some other entered, introducing themselves at just the right volume for him to overhear. Honsho and Hono... There must have been some new blood while he was at Takumi, then. "As long as they don't send me out of the village again, I'm happy." He did have to wonder, though, about what kind of events had to take place for the village to turn like this. He'd caught the tailend of the storm, but it looked like there was plenty more to the story.

Honō hummed. "Glass blower. Mostly." He answered, attention obviously diverted elsewhere for the moment - being the soot on his shirt. He managed to get the thickest patch off but the rest would have to be properly seen to. "Ah," Finnally looking up, green eyes locked onto Honsho properly. "The worshop is located on the ground floor of our home, so I have to go through it on the way out every day." He explained. "But, yeah. Mostly glass. Some wood carving for handles and tailoring." Was this too much? He didn't like talking about himself, fearing he'd come off as boastful. "Uh, my family are a lesser part of a clan, we work to supply basic materials and weapons to support the main household. As such..." His eyes darted down and away. "Well, I work more than I train. I wasn't much aid during the blizzard."

Rolling back on her heels a bit, she contemplated the idea of having a glass blowing workshop in a home. Her own home was set out in the deeper parts of the village, full of trees and animals. No ducks though. Honestly, what he did sounded very interesting "That all sounds amazing. I can barely get the branches off a decent sized walking stick." she informed him, smiling despite his attempts to lessen his abilities. A lesser clan... "My family isn't well thought of either. My twin and I share two clans that are rather opposite. As such, neither of our parent's families have ever met us." she smiled brightly at him, her expression mischievous "We don't worry too much about what they think. Or what anyone thinks." she slipped her hands behind her, interlacing her fingers. He works more than he trains....she could relate "Yeah, I wasn't either. I don't actually know any techniques of any worth but I spent some time at the hospital in the aftermath. I'm training to be a medic." she sighed, her expression going slightly melancholy "I...lost my temper with one of the Anbu when I was at the office. I got stuck there and tried to wait but I got scolded. Then I got angry. I still haven't gone back to the office..."

Honō chuckled at Honsho's joke at herself. "To be fair, neither can I without the right blade." He informed. He was still learning. Most of his tasks comprised of gathering materials and monitoring the heated glass. "Ah," His brow drooped. "That's..." He mumbled, not sure what to say to such a revelation, especially when she was smiling so brightly up at him. "Well, that's good. Sounds like you guys support each other." He nodded with a small smile. He wasn't sure, to be honest, but he hopped for the best. "Ah, yeah," Honō ducked his head for a brief moment before returning his gaze. "During the blizzard - it was the first time my dad and aunt decided I needed to know some clan techniques. I could barely summon the Academy taught ones - I just... don't have much chakra. You must have a bit though. I heard Medics require large amounts of reserves? You planning to be a front line medic or...?" His stilted, empathy coming over his features. "I'm sure the Anbu has had worse. Worst case is they don't accept an a pology, yeah?"

Shrugging slightly, Honsho brushed off the possible compliment "Our clans...we're not the same. Its not a main branch and a sub branch. I imagine its harder for you and your family." she rocked back on her heel and started a slow spin, rotating on the heel without any real motion in her upper body. Her gaze went up to the ceiling of the academy as she spun "I know my mother's clan techniques by heart but...I've never actually used them. So I don't know anything but the academy techniques too." at the mention of having much chakra, Honsho blushed slightly, the tips of her ears reddening brightly against her white hair "It's substantial." she admitted, well aware that her strength came from that as well as from her mother's line. It was why she had three last names too "I don't know what I want to do. I'm a shinobi first and a medic second...so....I imagine I will be. Either front lining it or acting as an active duty medic." regardless, she would determine what she was going to be when it came down to the situation "I don't think you can really pick what you want to be based on numbers or skills." she said as her quiet rotation brought her back around to face Honō, tilting her head at him slightly "I can't say what I'm going to be because I'm not it yet. So..." Honsho smiled, unsure where her idea had been leading to then she laughed slightly and dropped her head "Sorry. I suppose the Anbu would but I don't know where he is. I guess I'll just hold onto my apology until I see him again." she shrugged.

Honō shook his head. "Nah, I don't think so. We're a large family, even without the head or rest of the clan to include. Being lower class on the clan has some benefits - my father got to marry my mother, and his sister wasn't arranged to marry either. So long as we don't do anything to put on a bad image of the clan, we're mostly free in our choices. Well," He shrugged. "Mostly. My father has some skill as a Chuunin, so the head decided I would go through the Academy as well. To see if I would be of any promise. Turns out I'm better at turning glass that gathering chakra." Honō was finally starting to relax, his back leaning against the wall with far less tension than when he had first assumed the position. "You know them by heart?" He asked, surprised etching itself across his face. "Wow, heh." Honō grinned. "I'd call that impressive. But, coming from the guy who struggles to recall the basics? Probably not much of a compliment. Honestly, I have no idea how people can remember so many techniques. My head just, I dunno, not made for it, I guess." He shrugged, showing less shame than before at his short comings, slowly easing out of his shell for the young woman before him.
Honō didn't notice the blush, at least, not attributing it to his compliment. "That's fair enough. I was recently told that the future is nothing more than a concept. No point believing in it, cause its the present that we go through. Always will be." Honō shrugged. "Day at a time." He added, looking up to the ceiling for the first time since his arrival. "Much easier to go about it that way."

Toso watched Nathaniel closely as he spoke, almost close enough for it to be translated into a creepy stalker like stare. Toso's approach to situations like these where an individual seemed to be expressing mild instances of depression or lack of enthusiasm would default to one thing. Whenever he was feeling down he recalled his mother and her delicate but thing hands dancing over his body to cause him fits of laughter. 'Remember Toso, if your lady is ever feeling down, this is a sure fire way to get her back up again bloo.' Toso reminisced on these words, if they applied to a lady, then certainly they'd apply to a man just as well, when Nathaniel finally concluded his speech. "You seem a bit down bloop, I have just the solution" A glimmer in his right eye would spell a sense of... of dread. It was then in this instant the squid man's arms lashed out as if they were creatures themselves to pouncing on the boy. It initially looked like an attack but it was then Nathaniel would feel the man's fingers like little squid tentacles targeting the usual ticklish zones of most people. "bloo bloo bloo" His bloops reminiscent of his mother's that dropped the P and filled with enthusiastic glee. While in this process he would have caught Honsho's eye contact and he'd provide his nod of approval as he continued his 'sexual?' assault of Nathaniel.

•Mystic Hero: The user is much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into their personal arsenal. Through their great devotion to this path the user can cast ninjutsu without hand seals while wielding a weapon, D at genin, C at chunnin, B at Jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.
