Possibly try to avoid a plant type as a main character because they usually end up being the lesser of the 3.

Well Second season almost had that, Flamedramon and Raidramon.

I said in a way.
Veemon eventually becomes Imperialdramon PM which has the Omni Sword.
Guilmon is not associated.
But Agunimon came from AncientGreymon.

u can say that guilmon later becomes gallantmon who is associated with omnimon through the royal knights

All of them are part of a special group or something.
Royal Knights, Ancient Warriors, Burst Digimon.
