*Gathers coat and boots, stuffing clothing into her pockets, waits for Exor to lead the way to Dames*

*prepares herself to keep her cool after lurking in the lobby for some time and goes over to the room to open the door and talk to Exor but the door is opened by Iggies as soon as she reaches for it*
"Iggies? I, uh... Hi..."
*looks at her and Exor geting ready to go*
"Um, are we going somewhere? Exor...?"

*Heads to the lobby to leave for Dames*

What is this are WE stuff...? "Hm? Oh, hi Rae! Wondered where you had gotten off to. I'm takin Iggies home here in a minute... Why, what's up?"

*blushes slightly*
"I... Thank you... I mean, are you sure I'm not intruding?"
*Exor walked through the door and put his hand on her shoulder*
"Wouldn't be askin if you were, would we?"
*almost jumped in response to his touch because she wasn't expecting it*
"Oh... Yeah, I'll go with you..."
*gets a hold of herself*
"Maybe we can all catch up! It's been a long time!"

Exor, Iggies, and Alyraena returned to their room. The Sinner and his lover spent the night in one bed while Alyraena slept in the other.

Exor woke early that morning. With thoughts bent on Dame Charlie's words, he got out of bed without disturbing Iggies, silently dressed, and stepped out.

With one beat of spirit wings, he stood high atop the apartment complex's tallest antenna. The Sinner closed his eyes in thought and concentration. The world lit before his shut eyes; the ebb and flow of the energy present in all things swirled all around him. He could see the tracks left by Reisen's call box, but he did not yet understand them. He saw the natural movement of natural things: wind, animals, breath, plants, sun.

Exor's vision expanded all at once, leaving himself visible in the center of the visible area. Aside from the callbox's signature, the tainted flames of Black and those traces of Lady Leko's doings, the slightly off-colored lights of Tes, R'zn, and the other offworlders, all was well.

This didn't mesh with the situations at hand. More concentration was needed.

A serene breeze flowed from the top of the Makai Apartments and a pale flame gently issued from the Sinner. He opened his eyes, revealing them to be only white, yet eerily soulful. The blight and taint of the world then filled his vision, causing his eyes to cloud with their reflections. There was pain, fear, hatred, sadness, but alongside them lived trust, courage, love, and joy; each had their own shade and depth.

There were a few, however, that did not fit the natural spectrum. A swath of dark indigo had taken hold across town, and Exor did not have to guess at its origin. Directly below him, a black grip of fear and anguish struggled against love and trust - his beloved, no doubt. In contrast, a similar confrontation in natural hues was also not far from him at all. The tinge of the subject's soul and the evidence of exposure to the caustic Dark World ruled out all doubt of who that must be.

With enough information and his own emotions now battling it out, Exor returned to his normal state with a flicker of spiritual force. His foot resumed perilously, yet effortlessly balancing on the antenna-top. A fresh breeze fanned him, and he drank deep of that.

This road I must travel is ever longer... These Sins I contest spread ever more... I alone must bring this tale to a conclusion...

Exor leapt from the top of the building, plumetting head-first towards the concrete. Before he came within a meter of the ground, he vanished into thin air.
