Jacob: I wonder if we took a few back to Limbo with us, if they could start some sort of breeding program for them and put them on an uninhabited world...
Johnathon: Very well handled! Though I'm afraid I won't be eating crawler for at least another year or two after that experience...
The other imps were a bit impressed as well. Thas and Milaku were quite a bit surprised, but pleasantly so, that they all wouldn't have had to fight this one after the creature surrendered once it got a decent meal.
Just as they finished crossing the bridge, the giant mama crawler emerged again, though this time much more quietly, in almost a stealth like manner. Trying not to be hostile, the group still prepared themselves just in case....
...
...Instead, the giant crawler (which seemed to have shrunk by a bit this time, but was still recognizable as the same creature by it's markings) opened it's mouth and gave Sephiroth a big, dog-like slurpy lick before diving back into the waters.
Jacob: Heheh, I think you made a new friend...

Soon the temperature began to get colder and colder, and they noticed they were going deeper into the depths of the planet.
It was never this cold before. Something must have happened. It was always slightly chilly, perhaps a little bit of frost, but never at a freezing temperature. Be wary.
Someone nearly slipped on a patch of unexpected ice as they went on, the source of the cold becoming evident soon as a type of some sort of glowing, freezing cyan-blue ore literally bulged out of the walls of the caverns.
Don't touch those. They were much smaller last time we were here, but they stick to your flesh and freeze. They also cause a temporary paralysis. It... looks like some sort of crystallic growth if I had to guess, but from what I don't know.
Here and there, they literally saw a few dead crawlers stuck to the much larger formations of the stuff, covered in thin layers of ice, making them perfect sculptures.

Some of the ice melted, but the majority stayed frozen. The fireball impacted somewhere in the dark distance. Moments later, a loud groan was heard. Jacob immediately alerted everyone he had one of his "hunches", sensing niearcim magic faintly in the direction the fireball had impacted, drawing his blade.
The ground quaked, rhythmically.
*THUD. THUD. THUD. THUD*
Whatever it was, was large, and full of a feeling of evil, unlike the big crawler from earlier.... and then finally a glow came into view as the entity slowly came into light.
... It was a giant ice golem of sorts, made up of multiple arms, thick and bulky, with all manner of frozen dead creatures attached to and inside of it. Black stone eyes stared back at the group as it suddenly inhaled, then breathed out a large blast of foggy, freezing air meant to incapacitate (if not kill) it's victims under massive layers of ice.

The shot echoed throughout the spacious caverns, exploding once inside of the ice golem's large shoulder... it had moved at the last possible moment somehow. Ice shattered, chunks of it along with frost and snow sprayed everywhere from the blast. It's arm fell with a heavy impact, and the thing growled. It then slammed itself arm socket against a wall where there was plenty of ice crystals and that strange frozen ore, and suddenly a new arm emerged.
Jacob at this time had been studying the creature, and understanding dawned on his face.
"I see it's weakness. Keep it busy, this is going to be difficult. There's... magical pressure points, spell areas that I need to disenchant for this thing to stop moving! It's what's binding it together and giving it this sort of pissed off intelligence"
It's old arm shifted shape, melting, refreezing, until it also formed into a smaller golem. That barely had a chance to attack though, as Jacob jumped into the fray, muttering choice mystical words as he stabbed his blades into the back of it's neck, and certain joints. Suddenly the thing quivered, and collapsed into a pile of ice bits.
The much larger golem roared angrily, throwing it's hand back as if holding a baseball, then hurling a number of ice boulders at Jacob and his friends that seemed to grow out of thin air. Johnathon had just thawed out Sephiroth, and if it wasn't for Thas and his angelic wing tendrils grabbing both and yanking them out of the way, they both would have been crushed.

Rosemary's powered suit quickly administered medical attention, healing her injuries in no time.... her foot was 100% in moments while she evaded the deadly crushing blow. She recovered and quickly switched to a more powerful energy weapon, blasting chunks out of the golem.
Thas, after getting his allies to safety, had been chipping at the unnatural creature with his sword abilities to some extent, but had finally been unable to dodge a blow, sent flying overhead into a bit of stone, slamming so hard into it that he fell unconscious before making contact with the ground.
Milaku used some fire spells she had been learning, making good use of scorching heat to combat the icy creature.
With everyone attacking, still the golem would reform it's parts rapidly... the only one actually doing any damage was Jacob. Thrusting his blade deep into the back of it's neck while dodging a swiping claw, a colorful burst of magic filled the air, and the creature's head fell off, shattering on impact with the floor. Still, the golem didn't seem to need this part of itself to find it's targets as it kept on it's attack as dangerously as before.
