Oh, I wasn't using a colored coding. I don't usually color code speech separately- I just space it out.

I'm not sure red is so much his color either as that it came to mind when I had to pick a color of clothing. I'd probably put Denbe as a brown or dark red if I had to choose a color, if anything. =p

If it's exploded, I've just treated it as though I kept all four rolls.

Since (in this situation, at least), it doesn't really seem to matter so long as I meet the TN, I haven't gone to lengths to roll up another dice.

In character, maybe...but this thread is OOC. If your character wants to be mad at someone, he should be mad at the Crane that Lady Kitsu is flirting with. Basing that Go playing courtier into the ground would be better RP than picking on Raganui for a character choice.

It may be true in character, but not out of character. If it's bothering Raga enough that he's asking you to stop, then just drop it.

It's one thing to playfully tease, and yet another to be a jerk about it when you've been asked to stop.

Talking to someone on AIM, I came up with this:

Samurai with Doubt: Kyujutsu (4), Unlucky (3), Hotei's Curse (3), and Gullible (3) disadvantages, and the Great Potential: Kyujutsu (8.) advantage.

Hotei's Curse [Creatures of Rokugan] states that if you miss by 5 or more, a disastrous consequence happens.

Would you let this Samurai (who, consequently, has the cruelist Sensei ever) travel with you? Why or why not?

It all depends on how much my character's posterior becomes a repository for arrows. If it sounds like an event that occurs with some frequency, I'd have to say no. Especially if it was something that my character could learn to tell time by.
