Up through a route to the side, Kin was leading Dai up another route into the temple, all the while she was working on something... Should it go awry. The fundamental difficulty with situations as temperamental as these, she couldn't just build this ever so simply. Her ability to increase in size was useful in a bout, but that took too much backlash in the end of it all. Up the mountainside, she was focusing on the fundamentals.

A swig from her flask, she could feel her chakra coursing through her bloodstream. The chakra was coursing through their veins, while she was breathing heavily. The energy was flowing ever so simply, and while she did so, she worked on centralizing the concentration. It first drifted and converged into the center of her chest, in a mass that she was ever used to. Which meant it wasn't being done correctly.

[1/4]

Another swig, and the woman began to feel the effects, coercing a feeling of irritation at her own lacking skill. Chakra coursed more ferociously, flowing generously now. She worked attentively to defeat habit, and isolate just where it would rest and concentrate for the massive release.

[2/4]

Chakra settled again into her chest, and so the oni woman shook her head. Habit was not to beat her, despite the fact that she herself was a practitioner of habits, to create. Now to defy, it was problematic. The flow of chakra was finally shifting carefully into the flow of her right arm. It was pulled together for once, but she hoped that the movement would work.

[3/4]

Inhaling once more, she released the chakra built up within her arm, as it exploded outward in a more controlled manner. It was almost awkward while she moved, as it expanded into a size most unexpected. It plowed into the nearest tree, a thunderous crack and the trunk began to fall off to the side.

[4/4]
[Fuzen Youma Learned]

And when her arm found itself being brought back to proper size, there was a dull throbbing while she did so. Nevertheless, she was heading her way up into the mountainside. Forward into the mountain, up into the mountain. It was a step forward, when finally she met with the temple's appearance, vacated for the time being. It was there for them all to meet, in this case. Small niceties left behind to cozy up their meeting, truly.

Dai followed but her thoughts kept her quiet. Her hands shook, worried the out come of this meeting. She began to hyper ventilate. Who know this day had brought such fear into her. Dai, personally, feared nothing; but this meeting had brought a whole new fear into her mind set. She didn't even notice that Kin with training on their walk up the mountain side. Hadn't even noticed that this trail Kin was traveling led a different way into the temple. Dai rubbed her neck with shack hands as they entered into the temple. Dai looked around barely any new vegetation had grown since hers and Sypher's showdown. Dai swallowed hard and began pacing before plopping onto a fallen pillar and placed her head between her knees. Trying to calm her nerves, her body began to rock back and forth in a nervous tick. Dai shot up and took in a deep breath. "I'm okay...." She told herself. "What's the worst that could happen?" She began to laugh out of being nervous. She looked at Kin and felt at ease. Knowing the Kage and the one she loved was next to her, she was going to be fine during this meeting. Putting aside the lover side, Dai was still on of Kin's soldiers. One of the best. If anything where to happen, Dai was under obligation to protect her village no matter what. The Sensor rose from the fallen pillar and picked at her nails as the moments passed; awaiting for Sypher and the Mizukage to find their way here.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [ Chakra : 460 - # = # // Jutsu Used : name goes here ]

The trek was one that Mi robotically moved through the motions of. She was slowly turning the gears in her mind, preparing herself mentally for the different routes this meeting could go in. Pessimism was something she had been taught by the Kirigakure council and because of that she was already planning for the worst. Since Mi had found the rumors that pointed to Yokai possibly being the rouge that had been 'dealt with' in Kumogakure she had been planning for what defense to take. She would go through the motions of 'talk' but if Yokai had been right about the Kumo Kage's temper she was sure there would be a boiling point sooner or later. For fear of drawing even more attention to Yokai she did not glance in his direction. Her focus already dialing in. The cloak she wore that engulfed her whole body made a few 'swishing' sounds when she moved in a certain direction. Everything she was doing now was for a reason, that was her conviction.

l| Why here?! Sypher's features were jumping from different emotions and none of them were happy. This place...were so much of his life had been. His head was throbbing with the memories of his attack on Dai, his breathing becoming sharply labored as he hesitated beside Mi. He didn't want to have this done here, have this meeting here. He could look around and see where his attacks had landed, hidden under growth but fresh in his mind, and he stumbled a little as he moved. He recovered and stopped walking altogether "..-ha-..." he gasped a little, covering his mouth with his hand but knew he couldn't stand still. Sypher took a deep breath and moved back to following Mi Why here... he slipped his hands into his pockets, forming fists. This place was the worst place to meet, so full of the shame he felt for losing control...but there was nothing else he could do but follow Mi. He could see the temple in the distance and felt them, felt both of them, and his body literally seized up in a spasm of sorts. He stumbled again and cursed under his breath as he came to a stop again "Daitomi..." he muttered, his face flushing. Another of his students and one even more linked to the memories of this place. Here she was, where they last fought each other, and it was here that he hoped they wouldn't fight again "Mizukage-dono...thank you." he said, so softly only she would hear. It wasn't that he was signing his attempts at life away or was giving up...he just wanted her to know. And then he truly fell silent, his face going to that mask he'd perfected as an Onin, one devoid completely of expression or emotion. His lips were a tight line around a clenched jaw and his eyes had dulled completely. |l

The ANBU continued to lead the pair up into the mountainside, when eventually thy reached the temple. He didn't bother to say much, nodding briefly to the pair while indicating the ever so obvious entrance. The man didn't say much else, but rather disappeared in a cloud of smoke, no doubt lying nearby should something occur.

Kin had been standing outside the temple for the moment, the door was shut behind her for the time being. Kin was staring off into the distance, keeping her eyes open for Sypher and the lady Mizukage. She didn't bother to hide away her feelings this time, even knowing full well that another leader of the village would be about. It had been the second tragedy of her time as Raikage, and now she knew that it could lead up to her most recent. Eventually the ANBU appeared, leading them up the mountainside to the temple's clearing. Upon seeing the former Kumo ninja, she tensed for a moment, fighting the urge to go for her flask. She needed no more sake for this instance.

"Welcome! Welcome!" she announced with a degree of cheer, having to make due with the best of the situation. "Forgive the trek. My office is currently... out of commission. We have seats inside, where we can... discuss affairs." She didn't intend to prosecute anyone unfairly, but at this point it would be a mercy. For months, people had gone so far as to not speak the man's name. That was a stain that couldn't be removed by all of a sudden saying one was innocent. Now, the Lady turned upon her heel, before opening the door wide and stepping within.

Those who entered would find the layout rather simplistic. An open space, with several chairs set out for those about to conduct business. Nearby lay a small fire which lapped lazily at a teapot hanging just above it, cups lying nearby. Kin didn't bother with tea at this second. She simply made her way to a chair and sat upon it, leaving several others within a nearby proximity.

Dai stood very still staring blankly at a spot on the ground. Mentally counting how far Mi kage and Sypher. ...90yards... Her heart seemed to beat slower with each count. ...70yards... Her shaking subsided and her emotions were pushed aside. Her mental training was paying off. ...40yards... She turned slowly and joined Kinpaku at her side. Feeling the jitters fade in her fingertips. ...20yards... Dai swallowed a hush gasp of air as she looked up. Meeting the presence of the Mizukage and Sypher. She had changed so much since their fight here at the temple. Sypher, probably could barely recognize her now. Though through her chakra signature, know that it was her. Her eyes never fell to the Mizukage, but widely on Sypher. Dai couldn't help but to feel the world whisked away as she stood there. She quickly dropped her eyes when Kinpaku greeted Mi and Sypher. She bowed in respect to the visitors. "Welcome, Lady Mizukage and...Sypher." She hesitated to say his name but knew very well that he had most likely gained his memory back. Or somehow, Mi had figured it out. But, that was the only time she would speak. Dai wasn't going to speak unless spoken to and act only when it was necessary. Even under arrest, she was still an active shinobi and would live to protect her village and kage. She gained the respect and responsibility from Sypher. Dai looked at Kin from the corner of her eyes as she spoke of the condition of her office. Dai couldn't help but the think of that day, when Kein had almost killed in the explosion of chakra. But a smile twitched at the corner of her mouth. She waited until Kin had moved to moved with her into the Temple. The hollow corridors seemed to haunt the darkest deepest of Dai's memories. Their last standoff; Sypher's and hers. Dai trailed behind Kinpaku at a respectable space and stood on the right side of Kin's chair. Giving herself free motion if needed to act quickly. Dai stepped forward and lifted the tea pot. Pouring each of the four a glass; not wanting to feel useless like always. She sat the pot down on the coaster and handed Mi a glass, "M'lady." and Sypher, his. Not making eye contact or finding the words to say to him what was on her mind. She quickly returned to Kin's side and stood quietly slightly behind Kin's chair after setting the cup in front of Kin. Dai's body refusing to sit.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMI YOUNG ROOxxxxxxxmizukage
Surveying the area with a mild interest it had been Sypher's 'Mizukage-dono...thank you' that pulled her out of her little trance. Mi turned her head a small degree to see him in her peripheral vision. Slowing down a bit, as she followed behind the ANBU the rest of the way up she matched Yokai's pace. Reaching out she lightly gripped his bicep, as if giving him a sort of reassuring touch. Mi immediately released her grip on him, having left it up to him to interrupt. She had meant it to reassure him, acknowledge his thanks and remind him to not tread water but Mi had rubbed her tendrils onto Yokai. They were invisible and would go unnoticed unless seen by one from her clan. If something happened and things got out of hand Mi was sure Yokai would be the one with the most heat on him. Mi had made it her goal to get him back to Kirigakure in one piece and she was going to do everything in her power to do so. Mi had turned her immediate attention back to the path, Yokai already having withdrawn into himself, making Mi a little nervous and there she was.

Kinpaku. The most recent Kumogakure Kage. Mi's gaze lingered on the Raikage's face for a second longer than custom dictated. It was in Mi's nature to be curious and to break social norms. Mi had been both anticipating and dreading meeting this woman, another female strong enough to hold the burden on her shoulders as she was trying to do. Had the circumstances been different Mi might have immediately broken into a long chain of unending questions, all directed at the Raikage. Instead, Mi simply bowed politely in response to the welcome she was forcing out of the woman. The Raikage's tensing had not gone unnoticed by Mi. If there was one thing Mi was good at it was reading human beings. After all. They proved to be the most dynamic and interesting. Shaking her head slowly, trying to shake off the Raikage's apology Mi flashed Kinpaku a timid smile. Dai had addressed her then, welcoming her. Staring at Dai, Mi's crimson gaze hardened somewhat. The disaster of a mission that had happened earlier suddenly occupied Mi's thoughts. Mi looked past Dai as if she expected Kein to pop up any minuet now. There were a lot of things she felt like saying to Kein, none of them cordial. Of course now was not the time nor the place for it and Mi nodded her head, acknowledging Dai.

Entering after Kinpaku, Mi took in the room. Her gaze was drawn towards the fire immediately, the hearth already lit and what appeared to be a tea kettle was positioned just out of reach of the flames. As the Raikage took a seat Mi followed suit, sitting in a chair that was stationed across from the woman. The cloak that Mi worse immediately dwarfed her even more so than it already did. It hung a little past her shins, making Mi look more like a little kid who had donned her mothers gown. Underneath the cloak Mi set her hands on her thighs, her stomach churning slightly from the nerves. A few sharp intakes of breath settled her down some. In that instance Dai had approached her with a cup of tea. Mi took it from her, her touch timid. Mi set the cup on her lap, her arms showing from the slit of her cloak now. Normally Mi would have loved to drink the tea but she was wary of doing so in a place that was not familiar to her.
"Thank you." Mi said, addressing both Dai and Kinpaku for their show of hospitality. Let's see how long this lasts... Mi thought, looking to Kinpaku with a steady gaze. Mi did not like to beat around the bush nor play at being buoyant when there was serious matters to be dealt with.

l| His features remained set in stone as he saw her, his eyes narrowing on Kinpaku as Sypher came to a pause. He could practically feel the boiling emotions rolling in the air from where he stood to where she was. He listened as she spoke, turning his eyes to slide and focus on Daitomi, knowing her instantly despite her change in appearance. Unlike the others he'd taught and ended up working with, Daitomi was the one person he hadn't wanted to see. He stared openly at her now, his eyes dark and the emotion he'd fought to keep down rose up in them Why is she here? he thought before looking away again. So Kinpaku was going to be polite and welcoming was she? Well that was fine...he hoped that this thing could continue this way, polite if not comfortable. Because he certainly wasn't comfortable! Not in the least. As Kinpaku entered the temple and Daitomi after her, Sypher just watched for a moment, his eyes drifting around. He knew the ANBU from earlier would be nearby, hiding somewhere. Having no intentions to cause trouble, he wasn't stupid either. He turned his attention back onto the temple and the people inside it I wonder if they'll really let me leave here alive. At Mi's touch, he glanced at her in surprise, not expecting such a thing and certainly not expecting it to effect him as it did. He smiled warmly at her and dipped his head again, following as she walked inside. He was instantly on guard, anxious, unhappy to be in what felt like cramped quarters. As Daitomi offered him tea once he was in, Sypher glanced at the cup and looked away "I'm afraid I don't like tea...so thank you but no." he said to her softly under his breath, choosing to remain standing. His eyes flickered from Dai to Kinpaku and then away again, straining to keep his mouth shut. Mi was his kage...it would be wrong to speak of the 'affairs' as Kinpaku so coyly put it before her. |l

They had all entered relatively simply, which was good news for the time being. Kin didn't spend much time on Sypher. She knew that he was among their most skilled with their hunters, but the fact that he had come was one of two things. He knew who he was, or Mi knew who he was. Either way, it wasn't a good situation. She had simply allowed herself to observe the small Mizukage enter, it was a relatively interesting sight. "I believe there had been talk of reevaluating the lines of the treaty?" Kin began, "Would there happen to be anything else of importance we should discuss while you're here?" This was a fundamental idea, to evaluate just how trustworthy the allied leaders could be. Would they bring up just who Sypher was?

Brushing a stray strand behind her ear, she looked to the cup and waved that she would abstain for the moment. The sake ran plenty in her veins, which was pleasant enough for now. "Thank you, but no thank you, Dai. You know I've had enough." Not that she really did. Who knew how much the Mizukage knew about how the oni worked, but it was likely more than enough. One didn't advance without knowledge of at least the basics.

Dai stood very still as she took note that no one was going to drink the tea. Sypher still being as difficult as ever about not liking tea. But kindly turned it down. The Mizukage simply the cup in her lap; Dai noted the hatred the kage had for her. Feeling irritated for stepping away from the mission in Kiri; due to Kein almost going postal on a Genin in the caves. Dai looked at Sypher, feeling that gluten of hate that he didn't want to see her. Easy to read right off his face. He never liked me in the first place... She thoughts sighed as she blinked moving her attention away from him. Had he noticed she had been training like mad. Lacking the Jounin jacket, Dai only had the word of Kinpaku that she was of Jounin rank. Would he be proud of her then? Would Sypher finally see her as an equal? Dai kept the bust of a laugh from escaping her lips. No matter what he thought of her, she was there under arrest and as high ranking, to protect Kinpaku at all costs. Dai didn't looked at Kin as she spoke about reevaluating the lines of the treaty between the two villages. And if ther happened to be anything else of importance that they should discuss. Dai bowed her head as Kin turned down the tea. "Of course, Kin..." A wast to even pour the tea if no one was even going to drink it. Dai regained composure and stood quietly in place. Would the question of Dai being there be brought up? Why does it matter... Her eyes where low as she stared at Sypher for a split second. I'm only under arrest cause I owed you my life... She raised her head and stood more presentable.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMI YOUNG ROOxxxxxxxmizukage

The atmosphere was a little tense in the room, Mi looking from face to face with a tepid curiosity. Lovely waves... Mi thought to herself. Kin's voice called Mi's attention back to the woman. Blinking slowly she coaxed an eyebrow at the last portion of her question. Ever so intricately Mi's brows furrowed together slightly, as if she was solving some complex mathematical equation. At first the white haired Mizukage was not sure if Kinpaku was being serious. Obviously there was more to be addressed than something pertaining to a simple treaty, one that only really needed to be re negotiated through passing of official documents, not a face to face meeting. Well. Mi didn't think that form of handling business was appropriate either. She liked seeing firsthand just what type of people she was dealing with. "Ah. I believe there is." Mi responded, waiting until Kin had politely declined the offer of tea. Obviously no one was in the mood for it. Although it had been a little bit of a no brainer when it came to Yokai declining it. Mi had tried to get him to drink it before, in her office awhile back and he hadn't touched the stuff then either. Shaking her head slightly she focused, her short attention span getting the better of her.

Mi let her response sort of settle over them like a thin veil. If Kin was testing her then she was going to have to deal with it. Not everyone was a frank as Mi was.
"With regards to the treaty there is nothing I want to reevaluate. I simply wanted to see for myself what type of person belonged to the signature on the paper..." Which was the truth. Mi coming here was as simple as that, well before having Yokai land on her doorstep. She wanted to know just what type of person Kinpaku was and wanted to see what type of conviction the woman carried and what type of leader she was. Satoshi had formed the treaty originally and as much as she respected Satoshi's judgement she was not him and they thought very differently. A persons ideals and conviction said a lot about them and Mi wanted to see for herself what type of person Kin was and whether or not their treaty would be in the best interests for both of them. Mi did not want to fall back to neutral with Kumogakure but if something happened in Kirigakure that would require the assistance from Kumogakure and Kin did not see eye to eye with Mi's ideals then it would put a strain on their alliance. She would rather fall back to neutral than create an enemy in those respects. Satoshi had scolded her for thinking this way but it was because she respected Kumogakure that she was doing this. Besides. Now that there was this Yokai issue things would probably become strained anyway. She wanted to use this as a form of passing her own test.

"To pretend or play oblivious to the obvious is not something I am used to doing, so forgive my frankness. That and I would prefer to get this over with." Mi opened, looking to Yokai with a look that served merely to survey him before turning back to Kin. "I'm really here to address Yokai's issue..." Mi paused slightly, coaxing her head to one side as she realized her mistake. "Ah. No. Sypher's issue." Mi corrected in a passive way as if it was just a passing formality. "Mmm address is not really the term either. More like clear the air... or bring forth Yokai's plea..." She was ranting already, practically talking to herself now. She seemed displeased with her own jumbled vocabulary but got over it, clearing her throat. Scratching her head slightly she crinkled her nose. Words were not her thing.

l| Sypher, his head turned away from the group, rolled his eyes as Kinpaku spoke, containing a snort of derision. She was playing at politics today it seemed, something he had never had the time for when he'd been here. He'd preferred to just go at a problem head on rather then dance around it till someone tripped...and rather then wait for the trip, he'd always just pushed. Feeling eyes on him, he turned his attention on Daitomi, leveling his face as he noticed her regaining her composure. So. No one wanted her tea. Well what did she really expect? Even if he'd liked tea, a certain idiotic move of a certain genin had taught him to never drink or eat anything he'd not seen made in front of him Do you even remember being poisoned by tea you hadn't made yourself? Or are you still naive enough to believe everyone follows the rules? he thought, allowing the thought to pass across his eyes in front of Dai before looking away again. As Mi started in on the Raikage, Sypher didn't bother to hide a small smile as she too appeared to simply push the issue rather then dance around it. However...she didn't seem able to just merge him with the him she knew and was rather fumbling at the start Well...she's started it. I suppose I should step in now. He took a deep breath and then, still not looking at the group but rather examining an interesting piece of wall, he spoke "We can stop playing this...facade of polite politics now. I think we all know its stupid." his words were frank and he finally looked away from the wall "Daitomi is so jittery over there I'm going to make a fair assumption that she's told you everything. You, Raikage Issestsu, have also made it clear from your not so subtle statement, that you also know." Sypher finally came over and sat beside Mi, leaning forward to link his fingers together on his knees and look at Kinpaku in the eyes. He stayed like that for a moment, just staring at her with clouded eyes "I have my memory back. And before you ask, I must ask you, Daitomi," he looked at her with a slight frown "Did you truly think that a jutsu cast by a genin could last when placed on a jounin? It was a good effort and I thank you for trying, for trying to save me, but our interaction in Mist and Kein's further confrontation, broke part of the hold it had. From there, I needed only to force myself to break it. It took me some months so it was very good...but it was cast by a genin. If you had cast it as you are now, likely we would not be here." finished with that, Sypher looked back at Kinpaku "Now. Cease your playing, Raikage. We both know I don't have the patience for politics so lets start with what I know and see if you know anymore." He brought his fist up to his mouth, thinking before he raised his chin to put it on his fist "I'll start at the beginning shall I? So all parties know what happened leading up to this point. I seem tor recall Daitomi in several memories so she'll jump in where I fall off." He glanced at Mi, an apologetic nod that he'd taken over, then he launched in to his worst failure as a shinobi "Following your orders, Kinpaku, I investigated, for a year, a site that you had sent me to. During the last days of the year I encountered a jar that, in my own curiosity and stupidity, I attempted to open only to have it explode on me. Unharmed but covered in the contents, I was suddenly informed of a meeting you had called. So, I went." he shrugged, raising his hands out to his sides as if to say 'of course I did' and then continued "Upon arriving, I was rather put out by both my own appearance, covered in the strange dust as I was, and finding that I had lost most of the connections to friends and students I'd had the year before. I was, to say the least, rather unhappy." he bent to rub his ankle then straightened with a sigh "I was feeling strange during the whole meeting so afterwards, I went to the hospital. There, after some tests, they told me I had a chakra infection and that the best treatment was to wait for it to work its way out of my system. They suggested working out the infection so...I asked Daitomi." Sypher paused, trying to remember why he'd asked her. She had been a genin, ultimately not strong enough to go against him, to restrain him, when it had gone wrong and leaving her with only the option she'd taken. He couldn't remember so, after rubbing his nose, he started to speak again "We came here and began to spar. From there, I only have broken bits of memory. My mind was drifting, I couldn't remember things I'd done, couldn't stop myself from attacking her in the end. I knew something was wrong then so...I followed my logic and went to the person who was the most important at the time. My last thoughts of those moments were that I had to reach the Raikage." he shook his head and shrugged, rubbing his arm "I woke up with a hole in my chest outside the gates of Kirigakure. From there, what happened to me is of no consequence. At least not to you." he said pointedly. And then he leaned back in his chair and linked his hands in his lap "And that is that. I was given shelter and treatment in Kirigakure. I gave my loyalty to the Mizukage and Kirigakure as well." he didn't mention that he'd given his loyalty when he hadn't had his memory. In his eyes, it didn't matter. He owed everything to Mi and Kirigakure now. There was no question. He swallowed and realized his throat hurt...this was the most he'd said in one go since....ever. |l

Kin worked with effort to try and ignore the worry she could see from Dai. She had simply awaited patiently as either would answer. In fact, both answered. Mi was rather pleasant in her statements, despite the idea that she had discarded niceties. No... The niceties were still there, at least from Mi. Yokai, or Sypher, or whatever the hell he wanted to call himself, he was far less pleasant. His story collaborated well with what reports she still had. Either way, there were some issues.

"Yes, Dai has told me, and you know, Sypher? Her mercy put her life at risk as soon as she admitted that she'd left a rogue ninja alive, and at the gates of another village, allied or not, it's problematic above all else," sighed the raikage. "Now, admitting that you've given your allegiance to another village is proper, but really quite foolish." Kin was done addressing Sypher for the moment, and looked to the Mizukage once more. Forward the woman leaned.

"Now tell me, Lady... I'll just keep to Mizukage for the time being. Were it a shinobi, one that you held so close as to hold vital information... One that could destroy your village, with just a couple of locations, would you let them live? Would you let them walk into another village and swear their allegiance, when their previous vows should be holding their precedent?" Kin spoke solemnly. It wasn't a matter of who Sypher was. Only another Kage could even think about it all. "Do you have family, Mi? Anyone so close that the mean the world to you? Were we not on terms, I'd have already been to Kirigakure to confirm and claim a runaway." It was in this moment that Kin leaned back again, and inhaled as deeply as she could.
