Seeing Daitomi use her technique, wasted, on the flames, Samuru lost all pity for her "Stop it, you imbecilic-" he cut off the rest, grounding his teeth together "I said douse US first! You're wasting energy!" he snapped, turning his back to her and sliding his hands under her legs, using one hand to drag her hands over his shoulders "Keeping us wet is going to be easier then trying to put out these fires." he growled, gathering what strength remained to stand with her on his back. Samuru's hands were tightly linked under her hips, holding her as he leaned forward so she could rest over his back. He wasn't in the best shape and his back bled as much as her body but she clearly was not very good at the whole stamina thing "Now soak us, keep us soaked and let's get out of this s**t storm."

She growled back at him. "Samuru, put me down this insta-." A coughing fit caused her to break. It was pointless to argue with him. Her head shot up as she felt where his hands where, she didn't care for that. She coughed a few times and brought her hands together. A series of basic seals and...WOOSH. Water poured over the two quickly. Dai took a sharp breath in as the water hit her cuts. "Now go..." She told him as she coughed.

Samuru rolled his eyes "You're the one wasting breath! And chakra and energy and freaking everything." he snapped, adjusting his grip as the water poured down. He spurted water, shaking it from his hair as well "Hold on." he stiffened his legs, braced and then ran from their shelter. Thanks to the water, the flames weren't as quick to get them but he took the easiest route, avoiding as much of the flames as possible. He still had some near misses, his pant leg catching before he crushed it against a building, almost breaking his leg in the process.

The two would escape just in time for their base of operations to be consumed in flames. If they were to look back, they would see an ocean of flames as it claimed the last still-standing building in the area. The last of the apartment buildings crumbled away quietly, without much fuss.
Standing silently in the center of chaos, Black lifted his scroll and started to write incantations along it. His legs motioning forth as he was sending communications through and out towards the crows. The ocean wave of flames swiped and consumed just about everything. Sighing and placing his drawer down into the pits of his cloak, Black would unscroll the scroll outwards and produce from it a mystical vapor. His hands forming hand seals as it shot forth and spread out amongst the land. Having sucked all of the flames within the residential area towards himself in the center.'' Godai Houin no Michi.. '' The area was indeed ravaged and violated with flames, but in a matter of moments they would all go spiraling towards the scroll and into it. After ten seconds of the flames passing through, it came to an end. They all had been consumed and the land clensed from head to toe of the fire. Rolling up the scroll, Black continued onward by means of body flicker to his new business with his red panda cubs on him; the office..

Rin, Tin and Jin Rin, Tin and Jin are young red panda, they are small but quite useful for varieties of combat. They get tired easily and can only be on the field for five posts, but their speed and power more than makes up for their limited use. They are faster than the larger bears and can match an Anbus speed easily, they are also excellent trackers for use in any situation.

Samuru came to a stop at the apartments, letting out a sigh. The place still looked a wreck but the apartments he wanted were still standing and he entered easily enough. Following the stairs and Kinpaku's directions, Samuru unlocked the apartment and entered, looking around as he did. There were some personal touches...pictures. He didn't look at them, putting them image down so that he couldn't see. Setting his things down, he found his way to a bedroom and stopped to look in. It was small, filled with little knick knacks and bits, photos and drawings. It seemed untouched....so he moved on. The next one was a little more professional, a little more normal and so he entered, collapsing to sleep on the bed.

He still didn't have a way to get the attention of his demon and so far, all the shinobi here were idiots with a single exception. Passing the bathroom, he stopped as a more pressing matter caught his attention "....what?" his hair.....was blonde. Why was his hair blonde? Moving closer to the mirror, he lifted a lock of hair with a touch of horror to his features. Gods, this had to be punishment for trying to change his appearance I really can't stand blondes... turning, Samuru went and collapsed face first onto the couch, a slight groan escaping him "...what am I doing?" he turned his head to stare into space, his gaze introspective and melancholy. Samuru had come here to grow strong, strong enough to return to that village and wreak death and ruin upon it before taking back what was his. But so far....all he'd done was aid Kumogakure. While that is what he had agreed to do when he gained asylum here, it was not in line with his goals. Yes, he was now in possession of an extremely powerful force but he couldn't even contact the damn thing! Samuru closed his eyes and turned into the couch, curling up. His mind filled with a single thought, all spunk and fire and brilliant pink.[✠]

-----ιt had been so long since I'd gone to my apartment that I was almost afraid to see the condition of it. If by chance a plate or something was left out with food on it... I wasn't exactly the cleanest person. The thought of cleaning didn't sound too appealing right then. After walking from Kirigakure to Kumo, through the mountains, and then climbing those damned stairs to the Raikage's office, I just wanted to sleep and avoid people for a while. I was done playing nice if everyone was just going to give me the cold shoulder. For now anyway. Maybe if I got the sleep I wanted, I would be a little more level-headed again. -----Ascending the stairs, holding the swords at my side so they wouldn't rattle too much, I caught sight of a pair of residents giving one of the apartments a disapproving look before turning to each other and talking, walking away. Probably gossiping, but what was there to whisper about? -----They were too far away to hear, but I was headed that direction anyway, so I took the opportunity to glance as I walked past. The door was open, and there was a sign taped to the door with the name "Sanmiitai" written on it. I kept going, not thinking about it at first, but did a double-take and backpedaled. Sanmiitai was Samuru's last name, if I remembered right. That had to be coincidence, right? There was no way I found both people I was looking for on the first try. I didn't want to intrude, but... I took a quick survey of the room, finding a figure lying on the couch. The hair was blonde, not a natural blonde but one that was clearly either poorly dyed or something had gone wrong with the process, but I recognized the face. What I could see of it anyway without entering. He seemed to be asleep, which didn't help the situation--why did he leave his door open? -----Frowning slightly, I considered just leaving and coming back when I'd gotten some sleep, but he might not be there later. So, with a sigh, I knocked fairly hard on the door frame, hoping it was enough to get his attention. If not, I'd leave and find him another time.

[✠]Not truly asleep but not awake either, Samuru could hear the gossiping outside his door easily. Apparently, he'd insulted someone by not holding a door open when the person had their hands full Oh, go away. Shut up. Piss off. he shifted just slightly on the couch, trying to block out the noise. Why did everyone assume everyone had to be nice to everyone else? What was wrong with not liking people? Why should he have to change who he was simply to earn the approval of people he didn't even like!? A heavy sigh escaped him but it stopped mid way when someone knocked on his door frame and his eyes slipped open "..." using his upper arms, he forced himself up from the couch, waiting for a second before rolling his legs, spinning to face towards the door "..." he recognized the figure after a second then stood "Kaileer." again, single word acknowledgement. The only bonus in this case? Samuru rarely acknowledged anyone or even by name. Doing so with Kaileer was akin to a girl squealing and hugging and jumping "In?" he motioned to the couch, indicating Kaileer was welcome to come inside.[✠]

Which was a bit awkward, but it didn't make sense to shout across the room. The scabbards at my side bumped against the doorway as I stepped inside, and I quickly swept them out of the way with a scowl. -----But taking a deep breath helped and I turned back to Samuru. "Hey, there. Long time, no see." I threw him a half-hearted grin, using the moment to figure out what to say. How exactly did I explain the situation I was caught in the middle of. I didn't even know most of the story, but I was almost positive that at the very least Jae knew him. It probably went both ways. Even though I was in the apartment, I kept a good distance, in case he reacted badly like she had. The grin slid off my face. "I hate to disturb you and ruin the peachy mood you're in, but... Do you know someone named Jae?"

[✠]It had been a relatively long time, that's true. Samuru didn't bother to acknowledge that statement, moving over to the kitchen counter for a glass of water. He didn't remember the last time he'd eaten and when he extended his arm, the rail thinness of his wrist was evident. He didn't notice that either, filling the glass backwards as Kaileer worked up whatever nerve he needed to explain why he had come here . Peachy mood? Is that what Samuru was in? More like he was in a less likely to kill something mood. Maybe that was peachy. Holding the glass in one hand, Samuru turned to look at Kaileer as he hesitated..."What?" the words seemed to hit some kind of mental barrier but they sunk through, like thorns through skin. Jae....he was asking if Samuru knew someone named Jae? Why does he...where did he... his grip on the glass tightened slowly as he just stared at Kaileer, his expression going from mild shock to pale rage. The glass exploded in his hand, water and glass falling to the floor "Where did you hear that name, Kaileer?" Samuru considered Kaileer, not a friend, but at least an ally and had since they had fought together. But at this moment, Kaileer might feel....a bit threatened by the emotion rolling off Samuru.[✠]

Another bad reaction that kind of made me wish I'd never agreed to bring Jae to Kumogakure, given all the negativity it was receiving. In fact, that was the only reaction I'd gotten since arriving, from everyone. All I could manage was a flustered response, holding up my hands to dissuade any aggression. "I-I...She was Kirigakure while I was there, and got caught up in the attack." He probably didn't know about the attack, but words were already hard enough at the moment. My hands curled slowly into fists, and then I dropped them back to my sides. "The Mizukage asked me to bring her here with me back to Kumogakure, but I don't know anything about why. All I know is that she asked some questions about the village and you came up. She didn't say another word after that, other than she wanted to 'meet' you." -----I grimaced, hoping it was an acceptable answer, but I felt like it wasn't. I knew now that they already knew each other, and I knew Samuru was a foreigner. My guess was that he was also from Konoha, and that had something to do with the situation. Brow furrowing as I regained some of my temporarily lost confidence, I growled. "Look, I don't know what's going on, but I came to warn you because of how she was acting."

[✠]Jae was in Kirigakure? How? Why? Why had she gone there? What attack? Samuru stared at Kaileer, his white faced rage still rolling across his features. The Mizukage? Why would he care about Jae? Had Jae deserted Konohagakure as well? He turned away, his mind processing what he was hearing, fighting everything his mind was telling him. Jae would never desert Konoha, not while her mother was still trapped there. That was the whole reason Samuru had done what he had, faking his death, coming here...he couldn't fight the village from inside it so he'd left to become what they would fear. To become strong enough to rescue Jae, her mother and his siblings. But why had Jae gone to Kiri? He'd left her clues as to where he would have gone, left the box in the care of his neighbors to be given to Jae. His body was going numb and he felt like he wasn't getting enough oxygen, his chest tight She told me to leave...why would she come here to look for me?"She told me to leave..." he finally got out, his rage draining only to fill with a pain that didn't have words. She told him to leave the village. But....she was supposed to come with him, that was the plan. All of it was coming back, the agony of realizing she wasn't coming, the shock and betrayal that had come with that knowledge. It all surfaced again and Samuru felt his world go upside down, forcing him to put his hands up over his face. Fingers digging into hair and skin, he gripped the sides of his head as he tried to think "That's wrong. She isn't here." he breathed, starting to double over as the emotions he had suppressed for a year came back in tenfold "She can't be here." he said again. It felt like something was eating him from the inside out, chewing through his stomach with claws and teeth. The rest of what Kaileer was saying had been drowned out, Samuru unable to see or hear the defensiveness in Kaileer's words or body language. His gaze was down, focused on a spinning floor below him and he reached down suddenly, destroying what little balance he had, to grab the wood floor. His chest heaved in small, hyperventilating hitches, eyes wide and unfocused "She can't...can't..." this was a panic attack. A full blown overload of emotion and agony and fear that was ripping Samuru's psyche apart.[✠]
