[･･･] Inka waited a good beat after Kenshin had left the office before tilting his head up and called for Ichiryu to enter. His lips were still tilted up at one corner from his interaction with Kenshin, giving him a relaxed, amused appearance, even with one cheek cupped in his left hand, elbow on the desk, right hand working away with a abandon, occaisonally scratching something out, or going back to add in a smaller note.
"Ichiryu Senju," Inka greeted as the Konoha Genin walked in. "Taylor Aburame keeping you company? She's a former student of mine, nice girl. I hope you're getting along - I've assigned her to escort you back to Konoha. We've just had new graduates from the Academy, and I'd like them to stretch their legs, get to know people outside of Kirigakure." He finally looked up, pen discarded on the parchment. "The first steps of forming alliances, I've found, is through making friends. A shinobi of Kumo saved my life, as we fought alongside each other. He went on to become Raikage. Last I heard..." A frown overtook Inka's face. "He has left Kumogakure. He is a good man." He nodded, and gave a small shake of his head before looking back up at Ichiryu, expression calm.
"I will have the letter ready for you tonight. The squad escorting you will met you at first light at the Father Gates - the same ones we met at. Kenshin, the young man who was standing in here before you, will collect the letter once it is ready. Is this alright? If you wish to stay longer, it is no trouble." The Godaime tilted his head, gentle amusement showing on his features.

The Mizukage called Ichiryu in his office. His mission and him staying in the village will be over. A slight disappointment that he'll have to leave. "She has been good company and friend, even though we met. We had a good conversation. And the timing couldn't be more perfectly so-she wants to actually see outside the village and visit the Konoha. " The timing was so perfect that we just met and Taylor gets to have what she wanted. To see outside the village and Ichiryu offered when the time comes he'd show her the village. "I agree with you one hundred percent. In fact, that is how most allies are formed." He agreed with the Inka, the Mizukage and noticed that the Raikage was one of his closest friends. Same thing could happen with Taylor and Ichiryu, but he let that thought go and not to get his hopes up or jinx it.
"That is perfect. And Perhaps next time I visit I'll stay a bit longer and enjoy your village Lord Mizukage. " he bowed respectfully to the offer of staying in the village. Ichiryu thought that this would be complicated but it is turning out to be better than he and Taylor would have hoped when they were conversing about the two villages.

The Mizukage responded, walking around the table so there was nothing between himself and Ichiryu.
"I do not wish for Kirigakure to be alone. We are simply used to it being that way. But we do not turn those in need away, and our eccentricities often come from our support of each other." "I will be sure to remember" THough he doesn't see anything wrong with passionate people. In fact, that is what makes them strong and he too is passionate at times even.

Not for something as simple as common courtesy for a guest." He chuckled, gold and red-flecked eyes creased with amusement, but his attention turned away from Ichiryu as he caught the flicker of long, silver hair, trigerring thoughts that cut just as deeply as they warmed him. The Mizukage's smirk faltered slightly but he nodded to Severin before turning a friendlier face back to Ichiryu. "Until next time." He spoke to the Leaf ninja, gaze reminaing on the young man for as long as was respectable before turning to Severin once again.

A voice finally rose him from his almost meditative state, his hues slowly opening before he turned and made his way in to the office after Inka. He stopped before the man, giving a deep bow with an arm flourish to the kage. "Yes, my lord. I came not only to recieve my headband but to also see you in person; it is always good to know the kind of man you work under." Severin straightened himself up, his icy eyes falling on Inka, a few silver strands falling in his face which he promptly pushed behind his ear with a look of almost disgruntled annoyance. The man took a deep breath, closing his eyes for just a moment before they opened once more. "I know you've only been Mizukage for a short time, but I heard a lot about you when I awoke from my coma. I heard you did a lot to save lives durring the Sero incident."

[･･･] Gold eyes flecked with red blinked, focus visibly turning inwards for a brief moment before they snapped over to Krisella. The Mizukage Godaime's face was carefully neutral, his lips tilted into their usual crooked smirk. "Just graduated, hm?" He hummed. Stepping back, Inka gave a nod of his head in greeting to the young man, eyes appraising him while one of his hands stretched out towards his secretary. Krisella was rummaging through a small pile of folders, most already having a form paperclipped to the front, marking some significance that only those used to the Kage's and his secretary's sorting system would understand. A folder, bare of any attachments to its front, was placed into Inka's waiting hand - and was promptly creased as Inka's hold on it tightened beyond what was necessary.
"A coma...?" He spoke, concern filling both the Godaime's voice and features. Inka turned and walked into his office, opening up Severin Raigyo's folder as he moved to his desk. Every shinobi of Kiri have a section in their folder for their medical history - necessary in keeping many from over-exerting themselves, or being assigned missions that would only harm them more. Inka was still suprised previous Kage's didn't use his own history against him back then. Gratefully, Severin's wasn't as large of an addition as Inka feared, but there were notes that made his eyes narrow, the iris darken. All because of this <********> tree... Inka clicked his tongue and closed the folder with the same, resolute, snap.
"I did my duty," He finally responded to Severin, hand reaching up to his left shoulder. Fingers dug in, massaging the knotted muscles there, deformed from a years-old wound that he had never given the chance to properly heal. "As did every shinobi that day. No, others deserve more praise than I. Observant medics, for one." His lips flickered briefly into a smirk, nostalgia and gratitude overwhelming him for a moment, tainted by the aftertaste of knowing there were many faces he saw that day that he has never seen again... His focus snapped back to the Genin. "You want to know what type of man I am. How do you plan to do that?" He asked, smirk twisting up into a challenge.

Taylor stood, listening politely to her former sensei and the ambassador exchanging words. She smiled for the first time in a little while, though it was brief. "So. ..trusted enough to be sent out of country. Ok. I guess since you w my family name there's no harm in marking you for the journey." She said, a single kikkaicHu making its way down her neck, then taking flight briefly to make in the boys auburn hair.
Severin's blue eyes watched Inka's every movement; observing, investigating. The Mizukage was an animated man, many movements and facial expressions came with his words, though all the same it held a sense of... mediation, as if he was holding something back. The grip to his shoulder signified not only a physical pain, but the mental pain, the memories held within that injury. Severin knew that pain all too well, every scar on his body, every mark now reminded him of the loss of the only person he was close to in this life. The worry on Inka's face took him by surprise, it was not often that he saw others who so openly cared for their fellow man, especially in Kirigakure. Inka reminded him somewhat of Kagerou and her kindness, and he couldn't help the soft smile that rose to his face. He was in good hands.
Inka's challenge was a nice change, everyone always seemed to bend around him; either because of his particular gifts or the pity of him losing everything he knew. It was a nice change, for someone to stand tall, take him on as an equal. His soft smile deepened in to somewhat of a cocky smirk as he tilted his head slightly to one side, untamed locks falling around his features. "The plan is already in motion, my lord. It has been since the moment I arrived in this office. I have to say, I'm far from disappointed thus far. You are a humble man, and humble men are almost always good men. It'd be a disgrace, however, to judge you solely on your cover. I look forward to seeing more about you, to see what kind of man you truly are behind the paperwork and stories; to read the pages of the book, so to speak."
Just like any other novel, Inka Hizara had many chapters, as would any other seasoned shinobi. He hoped to unravel those chapters, those pages, to read his story. It wouldn't be easy, but he had made up his mind now. He was always such a sucker for the things he couldn't have.

[･･･] Inka blinked, the corner of one eyes creasing slightly in amusement. He wasn't surprised by Severin's admission - expected it to be the case already, so nothing much to note there. As for the compliments to his own person - well. Not the first time he has been called humble today, and he had a distinct itch in the back of his spine that told him it wouldn't be the last either. Better than the usual tropes that had been thrown around regarding him. Though, it seems the years have slowly melted those down. His Genin years of causing trouble, his Chuunin role of students dying or requesting transfers to other teams. Rumours based on fact about an unsound mind. Unstable. Untrustworthy. Inka gave a small hum, a hand lifting to his mouth, focus turned inward as he contemplated something.
"I have the advantage, then." He began, other hand gesturing gently over the folder with Severin's full name printed on it, along with a code number. "Actually having access to your paperwork. However, whether or not your Academy grades match up with your performance in the field will be interesting for me to see." Inka's hands returned to the desk's top, revealing the small smirk on thin lips. There was some fun in this; being 'evaluated' by a Genin as to his worth. It would be curious to see just how keen an observationalist the young man is - might even have potential for very particular areas of the shinobi forces. Maybe. "If you have any questions or concerns, Severin, I'm all ears."

It seemed for all his observation, he was also being observed; Inka surely wasn't disappointing him. It was beginning to look like this would be a good challenge, a long challenge. The genin finally took a seat; elbows balanced on his knees, hands clasped, chin resting on said hands. He stared at Inka for a moment, making eye contact, just taking a second to think. What would be the most beneficial thing to know right now, what questions could he ask to turn the pages? His fingers idly fidgeted under his chin, still in their clapsed position, as he thought. Finally, he came across a question he was satisfied with.
"Inka, why do you stay a shinobi? Most would drop out at this point, turn away, especially after being given such a tasking position. Kage, being a leader, I'm not sure I could count on my one hand the amount of people who would gladly take a position in a time such as.. this." He knew he didn't need to explain it, he would just be repeating everything Inka already knew. The village had been destroyed by the monstrosity he was standing in, and then on top of that it was flooded; and the strife didn't end there. Kirigakure had been through better times, And to be a leader now when so many would turn around and run; was it the mark of a strong leader or an idiot? He wanted to know-- after all --some day he too might be met in a situation where his team would be in a hopeless situation with nothing but more despair in the future. "What drives you? What keeps you going when all seems lost? When you've... lost so much."
He was not the best at hiding things, he never saw the need before now to do such. He'd like to think he at least successfully partially hid the pain in his voice, the echoes of loss. Everyone had lost someone recently, some more than others, Severin was one of the latter. Things had finally been looking up for him, he thought he'd have the normal life he and his mother had always dreamed of... and just like that it was gone. He wished he remembered what happened, how the Sero began. But he didn't, so much of his memory of those days were locked away in far recess of his mind. He could tell Inka lost someone too, maybe even more than one person. There was always a sort of feeling in the air, when you can tell a person has broken before. It always leaves a scar, a scar that doesn't heal and is harder and harder each day to bury. But what he saw before him, behind the pain he saw before and in brief flashes, was a strong willed shinobi with his head held high. He wished to be like that, he had to hope he could be like that.

Kenshin nodded as he accepted his headband. Suddenly, he detached the cloth from the forehead protector and slammed the metal piece onto his right chest like a badge. This badge of honor was the last piece he needed to bridge the gap between who he was born as and who he has become. "I'm a Kirigakure shinobi." He thought with pride as the badge displayed itself perfectly in the same manner as an officer's badge. Before he could walk out he looked back and noticed that he was completely ignored by Taylor Aburame. "Tch." With an infuriated grinding of his teeth he walked back and approached her. "Do you have stuffing in your ears, Taylor Aburame? The Mizukage just assigned us to an important squad mission and it's time to go." The Shinobi Sentinel barked this out, completely outraged that she ignored his orders from earlier. "This herd of cats better not jeopardize the mission." The officer thought as his cold eyes pierced through the Aburame.
