:: smiles and bows awkwardly at the end, quickly exiting the stage and going back to her food, using one hand to eat while the other holds tightly to the plush until her nerves settle again :: redface

*claps for Miro, then stands up and goes over to the bar. She asks for a glass of water, takes a drink, then goes up to the stage, shyly standing behind the microphone* redface I wrote this poem about my cats. Well, it's three haikus really, one for each cat. The first is Jack, the second Kaya, and the last for Gin.

All around the house
I chase the little red dot
Hunting the laser.

I complain loudly
You have your food, where is mine?
Feed me now, human!

Blue mouse, my blue mouse
The one thing I like better
Is a soft pillow

:: starts to clap, the panda kind of just bashing against her other hand ::

*smiles slightly at Miro when she gets done and pats her on the head. Then upon seeing Kits on the stage, he goes back into stupor*

*Karrie and Amy clap for Kits, Amy looking a little surprised, not knowing that Kits had written anything*

*grins widely, having listened as Kits worked the poem out a few days earlier. Then he notices that Smok is eating all of his cake* gonk Smok, that is mine! *nudges the small dragon out of the way and starts eating the cake*

:: notices the way Draa is looking at Kits and shakes her head ::

:: decides now is a good time to load up her plate with cake since he's distracted :: ninja
:: not only gets a couple of slices of chocolate cake, but also a couple of the spice cake cupcakes as well :: mrgreen

*blushes* Thank you. *quickly goes back to her seat*

*Rod leans over and kisses Kits, then stands up and goes up to the stage, saying that he has a poem to read as well*

False Spring

Pink blossoms floating;
drifting in the breeze.
Bees buzzing, darting, collecting.
False spring - is here

*squeaks sadly at Velcore, then flies over to perch on Kits' shoulder*

*holding up her hand to Draa, listens to Rod's poem before answering him* I don't usually write poetry. For some reason, I just felt like it. *shrugs* Thanks for offering, but I'm okay. ^_^

*smiles at Rod when he comes back to sit next to her*

*glares at Rod a moment, then goes back to smiling like an idiot at Kits*

*digs into his vest and pulls out a folded piece of paper*
I was going to present this as a gift for the birthday person... whatsherface.. confused ... but I think Kits-chan is more deserving 4laugh
*hands her the paper*
Just... uh... pretend that's you ninja

*looks at the paper for a moment, then hands it back to Draa* I think you should give this to Miro. This is her birthday party, after all. 3nodding *thinks* And it's a picture of her. *picks up the cupcake she'd taken and starts eating*
