Toso would then inhale again. This time he produced a string of three hand seals. Dragon, Tiger, Hare. The chakra again would swirl within his insides not unlike the trademark production of the Hojo's inks. Then as if the field couldn't get any wetter Toso exhaled an arc of water which fanned outwards. "You probably already know but techniques like these which allow us to produce water from our chakra are invaluable bloop. Many techniques seem only to have offensive purposes. Hence it's good to keep an open mind on how they can be used as a utility as well. " Apparently Toso had gone full teacher. He hoped he wasn't insulting Nathaniel's intelligence in any way. He was aptly curious about what the other two were up to. One of the competitors seemed aptly physical. Meanwhile Toso wondered how the teams should be split. He looked around to see if either had followed him for the lesson among peers. xxxxxNathaniel grinned at Toso's comment of making waves and followed him. He knew Suiton very well and it seemed to be his main affinity. He watched every movement of the squid carefully. He knew that his peer was a faster learner of such techniques and he didn't want to have to ask for a repeat demonstration. [1/2]
He formed the hand signs that Toso did, though the amount of swelling his cheeks felt from the water surprised him. He was happy to let it all go, releasing the water like he was sighing. By then it was obvious that the outside of the academy was fairly soaked. "At least the plants won't need watering," he commented as he rubbed his face. It'd felt weird as hell but he supposed that the squad leader was correct; being stuck in a desert with only a Suiton affinity... that would suck. Nathaniel stared at Toso's hands. Dragon and tiger and hare, it seemed. The genin didn't have eagle eyes, per se, but as a medic he knew just how important hands were and had gotten really good at reading them. He mimicked them just after Toso made them like an echo. He made a mental note of the other man's comments. Since he'd been defeated in their spar, he'd be crazy not to take the advice. He was about to make some smart comment when he had to close his mouth tight against the feeling of water and chakra again. He spewed out a fan just like the squid had. He turned and noticed that the other was deep in thought. It wasn't unusual by any means, but he still grabbed a ryo from his pocket and held it out. "Ryo for your thoughts?" His face quickly faded into a grin and then a laugh before he pocketed the currency again. "I hope you're not planning world domination or anything." He listened to the light sounds of training coming from inside the academy before considering that Toso could really be thinking about it.

Animals and elements influenced this style that was frequently attributed to monks. Still, he wondered why a bear would be the ideal behind dodging and re-entering. He took a neutral stance as he controlled his breathing. He would have to pretend to avoid an attack; in his mind, the coiling snake punch he'd just perfected. He jumped to the side to avoid the imaginary fist.
He avoided the initial blow and bounced back into range just as the snake fist was returning. His hand stiffened as he made his palm available. Before the imagined attack fully recoiled he swept forward with his hard palm. The hand he'd struck faltered and moved to the side under the momentum of the attack, which left an opening. He returned to a neutral stance as the false image faded, knowing he would've been able to use his own coiling snake punch. (Bear Withdrawing, Shocking, then Following - X trained D - 2/2)
A defensive technique was next in the style. It took after the idea of birds in two different ways. First was a simple action that could be seen as grooming. The second was to mimic birds on the hunt. Both would deflect an attack. He began the first part by raising his hand above, curving his arm as if he had a cape hanging down from his arms and he was hiding beneath.
The second hand hung below tensely. His fingers were straight and together, ready to chop at any move that came near his lower body. He shifted his hips over to complete the defensive stance. His lower hand turned and could redirect or block while the upper hand was capable of protecting him from head shots. The stance offered the option to attack again after blocking due to its openness. He loosened up his body by shaking his arms and legs out. He'd had enough martial arts training for the moment. Instead, he tried something a little more unique. He closed his eyes and focused on his own tenketsu points. He followed his own chakra flow and surged chakra to his right palm. He closed his fingers over to create a fist for a moment as he formed a spherical pool of chakra inside. He peeled his fingers away to reveal a small, glowing ball of Koton chakra. Such was the skill of his family. (Gandō [ Altar Light ] - E - 1/1)
He dropped the ball of light onto the ground. It was dim but even more so in the natural daylight. He removed the staff from his back and held it parallel to the ground in front of him with both of his hands. He surged chakra to both of his hands this time. The Koton chakra began to leave his hands and cover the weapon. The staff appeared the same at the moment, but if the natural light faded to dusk, the staff would appear to glow. This was the technique he had to use on his scrolls so he could read at nighttime. (Hakkaku [ Coming to Light ] - E - 1/1)
He returned the staff to his backside. Out of respect to his father who gave it to him, he wouldn't let the weapon touch the ground unless necessary. He was sure it would look weird if night fell and he had a glowing stick, but the other genin didn't seem malicious enough to tease him. He followed the idea of light as he formed a hand seal. He then cupped his hands together in front of him.
He worked on controlling his chakra as he pulled his hands apart. Chakra spilled between his palms and stretched with his moving hands. The chakra between them began to glow lightly. This glowstick was then stretched into a spherical shape as he moved his hands like he was rolling a ball around. The ball illuminated his cloak before he clapped his hands together to destroy the light source. (Hikarubō [ Glowstick ] - D - 2/2)
He closed his eyes and imagined the outside of the dojo. This form of shunshin would cause him to flicker before disappearing. He would need to leave the room for some of his more potent Koton techniques. He didn't want to temporary blind them, especially if one of them possessed a doujutsu. His techniques tended to be more effective against such kekkai genkais. With that in mind, his put his hands together and focused.
In a second he was transported out of the academy with a flicker. He appeared on the front steps of the building with another flash of light. He adjusted his cloak has he examined his surroundings. It was too bright outside to truly enjoy some of his techniques, but he shrugged. If he'd kept a notebook like his father had suggested then he would have marked the technique off the list. He decided not to be a smart alec by using the technique twice to get inside. (Kōton: Shunshin [ Light Release: Instantaneous Movement ] - D - 2/2)
He started walking up the steps, but stopped himself. There were techniques that really would hurt the others' eyes. He frowned and looked around to make sure there was no one else outside on his side of the academy. He put his hands together and focused. His chakra flow ebbed naturally and followed his breath. Chakra training was just as intense as the physical kind, though he didn't struggle to catch his breath and tended to sweat less this way.
He surged all of his chakra outward. He could see the reflections of his light as it cast dramatic shadows on his surroundings. For a quick second all of the leaves on the trees had darkened the ground. People that saw this technique would probably feel pain beside the blindness. Distance was probably the best protection from such a light, like being on the opposite side of the building. (Kōei [ Flicker of Light ] - D - 2/2)
He put his hands together for a string of hand seals. This was an old academy technique but it used more than regular chakra. This was a lightning type of clone so it required his lightning nature to activate. He channeled his chakra as he focused on the idea of himself. In a moment, an identical version of him appeared. It looked like a mokuton clone, but would send out sparks once hit. (Raikou Bunshin no Jutsu [ Lightning Clone Technique ] - E - 1/1)
He didn't destroy the clone. There was a way to treat lightning clones as walking bombs. This required a lot of attention and not just to activate the technique. If he was in range, he could end up blowing himself up. It would be less explosion and more electricity. Which was another way to say incredibly painful.
He sent the clone away from him and away from the dojo. He didn't want to accidentally shock someone inside. The clone finally got a safe distance away and he formed a hand seal. Chakra activated inside of the clone and it tore at the seams. Electricity exploded out of the form and shocked everything near it. It cracked a branch off of the tree it stood under before finally fading into light crackles. (Dendou Bakuhatsu no Jutsu [ Electric Explosion Technique ] - C - 2/2)
His next nature was fire. He formed his hand seals and focused. Chakra control was always hit or miss with him since taijutsu was always more interesting. His breathing increased as his chakra surged out of his body in a test-run. It spiraled outward in a rose-like formation. Or maybe he was just seeing nature reflected in his actions.
He then applied his own chakra nature to the technique. He whispered the jutsu name under his breath as he tried not to worry about being burned. His first technique and it certainly wasn't something to scoff at. He breathed through the flames that whipped off his body and ate at the air in front of him. He let the technique burn for what felt like its natural variation before straightening his posture and checking his clothes for ash. (Kaen Senpuu [ Flame Whirlwind ] - C - 2/2)
Well with introductions out of the way and the others off to training it was high time she did the same. Making her way thought the dojo's various rooms she quickly found a sensei giving a class to a group of gennin on bo-jutsu. Picking up one of the staves along the wall she fell in with the others.
The first thing they were taught was how to properly hold the staff in a basic stance. Nothing to difficult, falling in line with the others she slid her left foot forwards and her right foot back a little bit. Turning her left foot out and keeping her right foot perpendicular to her left. The staff was held in a loose grip with the forward end level with her shoulder and the rear end level with her knee. Despite having limited experience with weapons she knew that this was in fact quite a stable position. [1/1]
Now that the majority of the class had the stance down they were shown how to do basic blocks by the sensei. Here as well they seemed easy enough. Using the strength of her core and hips, she spun the staff over to her right side to block a non existent blow, then up above her head, then back to her right. Over the course of the next few moments of familiarization training she did manage to get it down pretty well. [1/1]
Now that they had their stances and basic blocks down, it was time to start moving. So just as before sensei showed them how to step and the class stepped when he gave the signal. Some fell and some tripped somehow, though Inori made it look easy. When he gave the signal she lifted her forward foot lightly and tapped her heel to the ground first before laying the ball of her foot down after it. Nice fluid steps. [1/1]
Now that they had covered stance, defense, and movement, it was time for the fun one, how to kick the crap out of people with a staff. Returning herself to the standard fighting stance she took a deep breath to calm herself and return herself back to her normal state. Watching the sensei intently she noted each and every one of his moves when he thrust the staff, noting the Kiai he released in the process. When he motioned for her group to perform it she nodded and lashed out with the forwards tip finding herself unable to stop her own Kiai from escaping her lips. [1/1]
Now it was back to the stance stuff, so taking the standard fighting stance she watched as the sensei explained the differences between the standard fighting stance and this "firm stance." The big difference between the two stances was that the first stance wasnt as spread out or low to the ground. With this version of it, it was much easier to defend because blows would be directed not only to the arms but through the entire body. [1/1]
Now as before with the smacking the crap out of things, it was time for more fun. Something flashy and attention getting, plus she could use it with a microphone stand while performing so hey, double plus. As expected, Sensei ordered the group to split up and give each other enough room to spin their staves. [1/2]
Taking her place away from the others she took a deep breath and held the staff of to the right side of her body. Once he gave the signal to begin she leaned forwards and tossed the staff over her back to give it momentum before bringing it back around to the front. Catching it with her right hand she twirled it forwards, then backwards, fluidly. Once she had it going again she spun it over her back and repeated the process with her left hand. Before too long she looked like a very deadly cheerleader with an oversized baton. [2/2]
Despite her success with the class it soon became apparent to her as she watched the others, that she was way out of her league as of now. So with a smile she bowed to the sensei and headed out of the room staff in hand. Heading back into the library she went through the listing of scrolls. She needed to work on sealing and the like as well as put her suiton to work. So gathering the scrolls she would need she headed out back to where the other two members of her team were training Sution. Which, frankly, worked out quite well for her as it meant she had an abundant amount of water to work with. Stepping out the back she smiled and gave a wave,"Hey, mind If I borrow some of your water? I have some suiton training of my own to do."

"The plants could use the water bloop bloop bloop." He'd laugh and say before consulting his hand book oncemore. Another page...stuck behind a sticky collection of ink. Scrawls of what seemed like layer over layer of overlapping text. As if having just seen a ghost Toso slowly put the notebook away. Toso seemed to be lost even further in thought now, his mind no longer fixated on how the teams would be divided as it already seemed it was already done for him. He simply didn't want to pit Nathaniel and himself against each other again. It felt overall too soon since last time and it would prove an interesting venture to see just how the two would work together rather than against one another. Nathaniel would wave around the diminutive currency in front of the squids blank stare who still seemed well out of it recalling something.~TOSO YOU NEED TO BECOME A MAN! BLOOP! But I don't want to be a Man Bloop. OH?! THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?! A WOMAN BLOOP! I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE BUT I WILL NOT SUPPORT SUCH RADICAL THOUGHTS SO SOON BLOOP! No, bloop, I want to be...a squid. SON, YOU GET OUT THERE AND...YOU BECOME THE BEST MAN SQUID YOU CAN BE! THen Toso snapped briefly back into reality to provide Nathaniel with a long awaited response. "Bloop a wealthy man once said, I gain a ryo for each of my thoughts and yet I still have yet to make a enough to afford a slice of bread. Bloop." Toso would speak as his hands began to move on their own betwixt his sleeves out of what seemed to be preemptive muscle memory. Suffice to say Toso had summarized in his statement that he simply had nothing or real importance he'd like to share on his mind. Dog, Boar, Ram, Hare, Ox, Dragon, Tiger, Dragon, Ram, Boar, Dog, Hare...his hands moved in a rhythm one after the other although not out of will but what seemed as instinct as Toso himself never averted his straight gaze even as he spoke. Dog, Boar, Ram. Those three starting signs were often used at the beginning of a transformation technique. Again the squid seemed lost in distant memory. If Nathaniel were trying to garner his attention it would be the equivalent of trying to converse with a European palace guardsmen as he returned back into a vacant state.~IF YOU WANNA BE A SQUID YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO BE A NINJA! BLOOP! LUCKY FOR YOU BLOOP YOUR DAD KNOWS A FEW TRICKS! THIS HERE IS CALLED THE TRANSFORMATION TECHNIQUE! EVERY DAY! EVERY HOUR! EVERY MINUTE! EVERY SECOND YOU WILL BREATHE THIS TECHNIQUE TOSO!~ The memory repeated itself day in and day out. It's record almost like that of a montage or flashback. The training regimen which had ground the handsigns into Toso's head. Repeated failed attempts but a dream only attainable through practice. His father's lessons were harsh. Harsh like this memory. It was no wonder he had forgotten, but how could he forget, despite the misery it wrought it was all worth it in the end.
Then after a brief few seconds Toso's body began to warp and twist and then a cloud of smoke. What stood before Nathaniel now was no longer a man by the name of Toso but a Squid by the name of Toso. Obviously his face now basically at Nathaniel's knees but his mantle extended up the original former Toso's height. This was by no means a typical henge. No, the smell, the texture, the fluidity of the limbs. What was once Toso was now in almost every sense of the word a squid. This transformation taking place right at the peak of Inori's question. "Bloop there's plenty to go around. Feel free. Bloop." Four tentacles rose in response in a friendly gesture with a completely natural seemingly friendly waggling. Toso himself seemed to have made the transition into the squid as if it were second nature. Suffice to say. He appeared incredibly happy. Well as happy as a squid could appear. Yes, this was the liberation he had forgotten, it almost felt as if he was part of nature itself now with no responsibilities. Toso's voice echoes with the bubbling water beneath him when he spoke. "So blooooooop, mayhaps we discuss the future spar. I feel Yuzuhara-chan and Nagadera-kun against myself and Nathtaniel-kun would be the most suitable if we're all in agreement. Bloooooop." The voice would resound and into the Dojo to reach Keisuke inside in addition to everyone else in the surroundings. [Ika Henge No Justu 2/2]

xxxxxNathaniel laughed, agreeing that the environment needed some water. He raised a brow as Toso consulted his little handbook and decided to try something new of his own. He brought his hands together and focused on his own chakra flow. Weather manipulation wasn't as easy as it was made out to be in the academy, and this was an academy-level technique. He turned to Toso when the other shinobi talked about an old saying. "I'm surprised I've never heard that," he mused. He supposed there was some truth to the statement.
He returned back to his own hand signs when he noticed Toso beginning his. Academy techniques were known for simplicity. Following that, this technique only required three hand signs. He closed his eyes and focused. The world around the academy began to blur as mist rolled in from nowhere. It was low to the ground but still reduced visibility as it wasn't completely concentrated to ankle-level and had to travel atop the water anyways. He would look around to examine the technique before dispersing it... finding a squid by his legs. [ Kirigakure no Jutsu [ Hidden Mist Technique ] learned ]
"What the he-" He interrupted himself to look at a new arrival, or rather, someone from inside. It was Inori, asking to use their obscene amount of water. He gestured to the squid who had answered that she could. Then he brought his thumb to the top of Toso's squid form and felt the texture of the new skin. The squid bubbled in the water as it spoke with surprising clarity. "That'd be an interesting fight." He had to wonder how they'd work together. Well, fight together. He supposed that the missions had been teamwork all the same. He rubbed the back of his head as he contemplated working with all the ink instead of against it. "It'd probably be a great teamwork exercise for you two, too." He was sure that Inori and Keisuke were put together recently like a lot of the squads.

Keisuke looked around the room slowly as he re-entered the dojo. He needed to decide on an object that he could focus on. He settled on his staff, hung on the wall, and centered his mind there. This clan technique was more of an illusion than anything, except it wasn't a genjutsu. He put his hands out in front of him and let his chakra do the work.
The world around him morphed at his fingertips. He molded the natural sunlight coming into the windows and shifted it. Before his very eyes the light moved around and magnified the staff, making it appear to be the size of the very wall. He flicked his wrists and made the staff appear to shrink. He twisted the light beams around to make the staff appear like it was moving. Then he dropped his hands to his side and released the technique. (Meimu [ Fallacy ] - D - 2/2)
He came forward and lifted his staff off the wall hooks, closing his hands around it. He stepped back until he was on the neutral mat from before. He took a deep breath and loosened his posture before beginning. He slid his right foot forward and twisted, tightening his hands on his staff. He tilted it so that it lined up as instructed. He took a few practice swings from this stance and found them to be sturdier than they would be otherwise. (Fighting Stance - E - 1/1)
He returned to a neutral stance. He lifted his staff and tilted it. The staff rested in both of his hands while parallel to the ground. He spread his hands farther away on the staff to test the fortitude. Then he flipped the staff so that it was perpendicular to the ground. It went from his feet and up from his head. The over-sized weapon felt steady in his hands. (Basic Block - E - 1/1)
He took a neutral stance again. This was a transitional motion, meant to be used to ease into another move. He moved his right foot forward again. He brought it back and repeated the motion. This seemed too simple to be an actual technique but he would practice regardless. He repeated the motion again.
Then he moved to his left foot. He shifted forward and then stopped. He brought it back and shifted forward. He repeated on both feet and shuffled his weight as necessary. This technique wasn't meant to use all of his strength or speed. It was simple a transition. It certainly felt that simple as he continued a few more times before considering the movement complete. He sighed and switched gears once more by placing his staff back up on the wall. He returned to the mat and focused on his own breathing. Before he could begin the technique, he heard a voice. It was the offering of a spar from the man with the goggles. He obediently came outside (closing the door on his way out) to follow the voices. He first noticed the seeming flood, and then Nathaniel, Inori, and a squid. Wait- what? He squinted at the animal as if to confirm it was what he saw. But he'd just heard the voice of the shinobi that wasn't there. Unless. . . Oh. Toso had turned into a squid. It seemed like an odd thing to train but he didn't judge. "A spar sounds fun if you want one. He looked to Inori and waited for her answer. If she decided against it, he would just go back to his training like nothing had happened.
Well that was certainly interesting, a squid man. Mmmm squid, squid when fried properly, was quite yummy. So chuckling a little bit to herself she smiled,"Sounds fine to me, Just let me finish up training and I would be happy to. Looser has to buy the winner dinner though, got a craving for Kalamari Ramen now..." Turning on heel she crossed the outer area to put some distance between herself and her teammates so that she could focus.
Taking a knee she knew that she was going to get wet anyway, after all she was in the simplest of terms not an hour from having a water gun fight with the rest of her team. With the amount of water that her mates were throwing around it easy enough for her to have a practical application for the jutsu she wanted to learn. With the humidity being what it was, it wasnt a supprise that quite a bit of steam and mist had developed. So taking a deep breath she channeled her chakra into her eyes and much to her satisfaction she found that, despite the water it was quite easy for her to see through it. Releasing the chakra she moved on. [1/1]
Next was one that she was going to put to heavy heavy use in the future. She had never been all that super fast on her feet so having something like the shunshin to assist her would make it ten times easier. Taking a deep breath she concentrated her chakra into her feet and with a smile unleashed the force it had stored. Giggling quite loudly she raced across the clearing before turning around and racing back. Truly an enjoyable experience. [1/1]
However it was time to get serious, deadly serious. After all the next series of jutsu she was going to learn were all quite high rank and quite deadly. Up first was one that would allow her to expell huge amounts of water which would serve not only a tactical purpose but a easy way to water huge amounts of ground. [1/2]
Taking a deep breath she raced through the seals, instead of singing her jutsu to life, and once she reached the final one she extended her right arm in a separated dragon seal. Taking a deep breath she held the seal and concentrated her chakra into her mouth. Next thing she knew she was expelling dozens upon dozens of gallons of water which washed over the grounds flooding it just a little bit. [2/2]
Well it wasnt so bad at least. Picking herself up she moved on to the next jutsu. This one was really more of a follow up to the first then anything really major. It revolved around creating sharks out of chakra which were then unleashed upon the target of the jutsu. [1/2]
In this case her target was a tree a ways off. So just as before she slowly formed each seal one after the other until she had properly molded the chakra to shape. Taking a deep breath she poured her chakra free and placed her palm onto the surface of the water. Much to her delight, which quickly turned into evil giddyness, the sharks appeared and quickly raced for the tree each one taking large chunks out of it before it fell to the ground in a splash. Switching her pace a bit from sharks to dragons she watched her pretty little sharks swim around her in a nice content circle before releasing the jutsu and causing them to poof. Instead of jutsu that would lend to one another she was going to go for direct destruction with this next jutsu. This time she decided to show off a little bit. Given that there were only about three or four people around she took a deep breath and let her voice fill the air. [1/2]
There were no lyrics to her song instead it was just a soft and easy transition between soft and long tones. However as she did her magenta chakra flared around her body before solidifiying into butterflies which softly fluttered around her. However what happened next was far more deadly. As she switched from note to note the water at her feet quickly swirled and raced up over her head taking on the shape of a dragon. The dragon raced across the clearing slamming into the ground at full speed leaving a small rut in the dirt and exploding in a blast of water. It was exceptional, so very wonderful. [2/2]
Rising to her feet she headed back over to the others brushing her hair back,"So about that spar... how do you want to do this? Slug it out here and now? Also are there any ground rules?" Once again mussing with her hair she did not care in the slightest if they knew about her secret ability to create jutsu with her voice. After all it was going to become common knowledge soon enough.

"That would be at the discretion of Bloop." Before he had finished his statement an anbu of the cloud appeared. "At the discretion of this individual bloop." The anbu remained silent as Toso pointed what appeared to be a limp tentacle towards the arrival. For Inori's sake it seemed her talk of 'calamari ramen' had flown over his head, er mantle. Not being in a combat setting alleviated the stresses of maintaining such a form in fact it alleviated them so much so after Toso's directive pointing towards the Anbu he began essentially falling flat on what could have been considered his back and as if a snake began lightheartedly slinking through the water with whimsy as he longed for accompaniment in some way shape or form. "It may be disadvantageous Bloop. But I think I will keep this form for out spar bloop. It's been too long bloop getting my wits about me on how to properly utilize once more would do me well. If our supervisor allows bloop. I see nothing wrong with getting started now." There was a laxness in his voice a combination of what seemed to be preparedness but at the same time showing a carefree attitude. After his initial spar with Nathaniel his competitiveness had made itself absent, in truth it would have been rude of him to actually 'not try' however. Then again as Toso slunk he came to a realization perhaps he shouldn't win the spare for his own sake but for Nathaniel's. The field was absent of ink for the most part and only water having lost the chakra that formerly flowed within it remained. Toso was certainly taking advantage of the even wetter terrain but found it in desperate need of redecoration if it were to ever be advantageous in this form. Until the first blow was thrown he'd consider the possibility of combat without worrying too deeply about it thus allowing him to relax and enjoy his squid like form all the while developing ideas in his head. The anbu could signal the okay and label any ground rules if there were any. The missive after all didn't go into such detail aside from just sparring itseld [Sumiraiko 2/3]

TThe Chunin moved about until he happened to find the area where Toso, and three others were training, much to his surprise, there was no Toso, just a giant squid. He sat back for a moment and observed them, standing on a corner. The one with green hair spawned mist, the red head was practicing Taijutsu, the other was… singing? He figured he also found Inori here, much to his luck, all he would need was Miko and he would be done with this silly mission. “Sorry to interrupt.” He pushed away from the wall, his eyes clearly tired, one hand rested on his waist, just above the two blades he had strapped around it, the other with a file holding many sheets of paper. “But that spar will have to wait, one Inori Yuzuriha and one Tosokurui Hojo are to report to the hospital and await orders. Find Wanryoku, he’s the really big guy, you won’t miss him.” If any of those present had heard the reports of the missing Chunin after the attack of the Ice Creatures, it would be no mistake they referred to Axel, with his blood red hair, but what would have been the bigger give away was the dirty matted clothing, and the exhausted look in his face that made him look a tad older than he actually was, but that would go away with proper rest and food. “You, green hair, and you, I’d call you red head, but there’s three of us here, so you, the one that was practicing how to throw blows and stances, you two can spar if you’d like. My money’s on the red head.” He turned on his heels and began to walk away from the foursome, but looked over his shoulder. “You wouldn’t know where I can find a girl by the name of Miko, do you? Oh, and Tosokurui, I’m more than certain they’d prefer you in your original form, you know, the one that has two arms and two legs? Or is that your usual form?” Axel shrugged and gave his friend a tired smile. Because he was on official duty as the man’s superior, he addressed him by his full name, not by the name he called him all other times, Toso. Unless anyone said anything directed to him, he would walk away in search of something to eat before continuing his search for the Puppet Master Miko.

While she awaited the response from the rest of the team she watched Toso, or rather squid toso, bloop around much to her enjoyment though it did make her want Calamari even more. Shaking away her hunger she sighed when she heard the voice of someone she didnt know. Turning on heel she smiled giving a curt nod to his words. "Well that works out doubly in my case. I can see about lending the hospital a hand for awhile until the others get there." Patting squid toso on the....crown thingy, on the way by she called out over her shoulder,"CALAMARI!!." With a smirk she pushed open the door and was off to the office.

Toso would cease his playful endeavors as he snapped back into a gelatinous attention with Axel-niis arrival. Perhaps it hadn't seemed the case but his wishy washy wibble wobbles were essentially preparation for producing a populace of playfully peppy pods of squids that rose in tiny mama duck formation behind toso. They weren't real of course. How he longed they were but these little rascals were simply made of ink. Their size even more diminutive than normal only due to Toso's experimentations with giving them form. For now he would have to settle for these faux companions before they each dispersed themselves leaving their inky existence behind to meld with the waters. [Sumiraiko 3/3]
Axel-nii's words seemed tired but it seemed the bond of friendship and camaraderie was strong enough that he was finally capable of discerning that Toso and the Squid before him were one in the same. Raising his feeding tentacles in affirmation he'd signal with a simple bloop and blub. Then all seemed peaceful for the moment until as with Axel's orders Inori left hurriedly in future attendance. Then what she said afterwards struck almost needle like against his person despite its intent to poke fun. Each tentacle as if a snake that had just been threatened flailed wildly. If one didn't know better the squid could have appeared to be the imitation of a bonfire having just been lit flickering every which way. Toso's eyes themselves hidden behind the glare of the glasses which somehow accompanied his transformation.
"Well I suppose I'll be heading now. Bloop." The squid's arms and demeanor calmed themselves as if he'd never been enraged in the first place. The entered an absolute staleness where both the body and limbs turned limp and relaxed. Hot and Cold, Black and White. This is what his emotions appeared to be as of now but needless to say the squid overall personality was indeed as grey as his vision. However, before he left he'd be certain to adress Nathaniel-kun and Keisuke. Toso would provide what seemed to be the equivalent of a squids, er thumbs up to Nathaniel as if to say he had the utmost confidence he could come out on top if they were to spar if he utilized everything he's learned so far. To Keisuke he provided a tentacled salute. Axel-nii seemed occupied with his inquiry about Miko's whereabouts that he didn't want to disturb him. So as a Squid though he may have to re-assume his proper form soon, he'd slink and grapple his ways away. ~exit.

Arriving at the academy, Ara wasted no time and got straight to learning some jutsu before she would pester anybody about missions. She showed her headband and searched around for the Suiton section, digging through all of the scrolls to see what jutsu she could add to her arsenal. While the low levels scrolls were a good way to start, there did not seem to be much around the offensive techniques. SHe figured all the interesting things would be for jutsu only a kage or jounin would know. For now, she would just have to make due. She pulled open a scroll detailing how to hide onself in order to escape puseurs or eavsdrop. After giving the scroll a brief read, the blue haired genin slowly practiced the hands seal required one by one several times first to prepare herself. When she was ready, Ara performed the seals and felt her body melt until a small puddle of water stood in her place. Lying there for a while, she reformed herself and looked for another scroll to study from.

Putting the previou scroll away, the young hojo gazed upon another suiton scroll, used to teach users how to breathe underwater. The instructions were a bit unclear, but Ara skimmed what she read and quickly dove into the lake nearby. Squirming around as she waited for the jutsu to kick in, she worried if she was going to drown and end her journey here. Thankfully, the jutsu kicked into effect and allowed her to take in oxygen from the water. After swimming around for a few seconds, Ara resurfaced and made her way back towards the suiton scrolls she had left lying about.

the next technique was one that allowed a person to see through things like mist, or any other thing that impeded vision with water in the air. Ara walked back over to the lake and scooped a hand full of water into her palms before slurping it into her mouth. The taste was revolting, but she quickly spat it out into a mist-like spray. It took a while for the jutsu to take effect, but she could see the transition when the mist blocked out some of the vision behind it and then when she could clearly see through it.
