Well, she wanted to protect her kid. Understandable. I'd kill the psychologists if it were me. They didn't ask her permission, after all.

Despite my fear of sounding cliche, it's what I do...

Other psychologists have done odd stuff, too. One guy put his own kids in a puzzle box.

Yup. You don't have to ask permission when they're your kids. Even Darwin did it.

Studied his own kid's development. At what age did they start tracking objects, that kind of stuff.

Oh that's nothing. No harm done at all. Heck I used to observe my little sister like that.

I'm talking about Skinner, the psychologist, and his behavioral psychology puzzle box. I don't know if it opened from the outside...

BF Skinner. He was a little creepy. It was the photographic box that creeped me out. It was a box that had hundreds of cameras in it. no matter where you moved, the doctors outside could see you and you couldn't see them...

I have never heard of that one. Just the type of box he put rats in: there's a way out, but you have to figure it out. Like the movie Cube, which I still haven't seen...

Did any rats make it out? I suppose so, they have a tendency to surprise you.

After a while they just started doing it automatically.

Ah. They learned. Thats what I'm studying at the moment. Learning, I mean, not rats.

I studied it last year. I also talked about it a bit in my class about alcohol today. Now I know why people lose their memory when they get drunk.

*nods* We're studying memroy too. Specifically, did you know that long-term stress can damage the areas in your barin that deal with memory? I didn't.
