"Homes are good things. " The stallion nodded, tail swishing. He moved a bit forward, before ducking his head and nibbling at the grass, it was already not that bright a green, but it'd do? Grass was probably the most likely food for him to find, even if it wasen't the best tipe.

(( Random arrpee! xD
Kasi is still a foal in this arrpee. :3 ))
Springs greetings!
What? Rrm..? A sleepy stallion yawns, shaking his mane out of the way. Tonigh he'd slept laying down by his daughter, she had been to sleepy for them to reach the windfall where he, Ro and 'Lando slept. But it seemed fully differen't now, the foal was giddy and exited, leaping around him, stopping only to give him rough nudges on the shoulder. "What? " He snorts, getting to his hooves.
"Look! Looklooklook! " The filly was very amazed, there wase no snow, and despite the slight coolness, the sun shone down in a beautifull sky of blue. But thats not what her attention was on. They had spent the night at a 'corner' of the clearing, under a large tree's cover. Kasi was fussing over something she'dnever seen before; a flower. It was a a rather big, blue one, black outlines, that looked much like a blue butterfly, somehing wich the filly haden't seen either.
At first, teh stallion seems anoyed, awaken by such a unworthy cause.. But then he remembers, this was his little darling's first spring. Its to expect she'd be so exited. He smiles, energy flowing through his body, he'd show her all she wished to know, no matter how.. weird his little girl was, he'd love her. "Thats a flower, spring is starting. "
Kasi didn't seem to care what her father said, only the word flower. Then, the wind blows against it, pushing it to the side, petals dancing like flags. "Whuzzit duin? " She gasps, taking a cautious step back.
Pallaton smiles, nudging his daughter towards it. She was so sweet, even if a little noisy. Always so curious and full of energy... "Its saying hello Kasi, spring is saying hello. "

dustfeather Rowanoak was outside the den, her limbs folded under her. It wasn't often she got a chance to do so...predators lurked even in this hidden ravine at times, and when she was out and about, she was constantly on her feet. Even in sleep, her nostrils and ears twitched, 'watching' for any potential danger.
But up here, she took care not to leave a straight trail back to the den, and she doubted, short of a wolf flying over the rocky walls, that she could be discovered. Tall rocks hid the den, and she was far enough nestled into the rock that her scent could barely touch the wind. It was the ideal location to raise foals, as long as one watched them constantly to ensure that they didn't twist an ankle on the rough ground. The mother comfortably watched the sky turn brilliant colors as the day started to turn to night. The striped mare was content to remain where she was...her temper had been moderated by several years of motherhood and experience. The fiery young female occasionally resurfaced, but that came more rarely these days. wooga Paes The day was ending, again, so he'd return home from a nice little walk outside, a break from taing care of the three baskets. Three! Though he'd known he was a father again for a while, like any father, he'd be exited, just waiting for the frail foals to become strong enough to leave the little baskets. He didn't quite remember when he'd been in one, though he supposed he had. But it must be pretty cramped in there.
Like Rowanoak, though, Pallaton wouldn't leave a straight trail to the entrance, ever so carefull about any predators, and always passing where there could besomething to hide off his scent, even if it meant making the route much longer. Though comming home wa salways worth it, even if you got back with some twigs stuck in your curly mane.
The stallion could now sort-of see the entrance to the ravine, but the form of something else was ven more visible, and he smiled to himself. He speeded his pace a bit, as if inpatient to join the mare, butafter running around and streching his legs, Pallaton found it quite nice to walk calmly along. But still, he raised his head to whicke a greeting to the mare whom he'd learned to loe so much(and who'd also nicknamed him fairyboy, on an occasion). dustfeather (For whoever, wu. smile )
Ro's mind wanders quietly to her other to children, now grown. What were Orlando and Kasi getting up to, these days? She was growing more and more anxious about those two, and she resolved, as soon as this next litter were old enough to travel, to check up on them. Pallaton wouldn't mind that, would he?
As if in summons to her thought, her palomino mate nickered to her, and she glances up, not entirely in surprise. But a warm smile slowly spreads over her features. Even after all this time, she never got bored when she was with him, yet he was laid-back enough to deal with her more volatile moods with ease. He was, to use that old cliche, her 'better half.' He didn't fuss about the things she did, he had good humor, and he didn't mind looking after the little ones. And he was faithful to her, and her alone, which seemed like a godsend to her after living in a band most of her young life.
"Palla," she murmurs as he comes closer, and if she was a cat, she would have purred. With a quick heave, she gets up on all fours, shifting her limbs a little and wincing as the circulation starts moving again. Grass still clings to her limbs; it's been warm enough the past few days that the snow has started to melt away, especially up here.
wooga Paes Eas flicked foreward at her voice, and the smile became more open, now to her and not just himself. "Hey Ro. " He said, louder than her murmur in his very Palla-ish way, tail flicking at a fly that had found him, disloging it from his lower leg and sending it noisly away.
"Enjoying the sunset? " He asked, there was a time he doubted she'd ever do that, the firey female he'd first met. Apperently, he'd 'tamed' her, along with the help of their foal, who were now big, and these new ones. When close enough he touched his nose to hers affectionately, though always in his boyish mood, moved to n** at her braids, wich she wa sprobably used to by now.
"Hows your day been? "
(( *braindead* xD I gottaget in his mood~ )) dustfeather
She makes a face at him, then nibbles along his withers affectionately, before drawing back and shaking her mane. The braids crackle against a firm neck; while not amazingly muscular, Ro was fit from living out in the wild her entire life. Tough and agile on her feet, even if not noticably swifter than any other soquili, she had a more than fighting chance of continuing to live out here.
"Mmhmm. You can't really see the sun from here, but the sky turns amazing colors..." She murmurs, losing her train of thought as she looks upward again.
At the next question, however, she glances back at him, then smiles, the smile thinning a little. "The same. There's no chance with the babies." She doesn't mind watching the little ones, but it does get boring to sit outside and wait for predators. "How was your walk?"
(my brain is a bit dead too, my RP isn't that great atm whee )
