Memphis put her hand over the mouth a giggled, just like a mermaid would. "Oh, yes it always does, sug." She did love the water and the ocean was way better then the lake had been.

"Alright, to swim you really need to feel the water and the current around you. Once you do use your arms and fin.. I mean legs and feet to push you through."

Cadassi nodded, stretching his arms out beside him to feel the current. Taking in deep breaths from his newly functioning gills, he sighed softly as the current swept across his bare skin softly.

He hadn't felt anything this good in along time. Thena gain, he hadn't been this happy or excited about a lot of thing in forever. Raising his arms toward the surface, he brought the down quickly. But he only moved slightly upwards before sinking again.

Wait, she said legs and arms. Kicking his legs out, one at a time, he frowned. This didn't seem to be working. Maybe if he walked...

Walking along the bottom, he kicked his legs high with each step while flapping his arms slowly like a bird. Still not working. Cracking an eye open, he peeked at Memphis. Surely she wouldn't have to kiss him again to show him how to do this right, would she?

Memphis watched as Cadassi began to try what she suggested. He wasn't doing well, but then he wasn't doing badly either. Not for someone that had never tried swimming or had two legs.

The mermaid swam back down and around him watching more closely. Memphis wanted to figure out how it was different for two legs then one fin. If she could figure out that maybe she could help him better.

"Maybe try this sug." She pointed to his legs and then motioned for them to be kept together. "Trying making it like it's one fin."

Cadassi glanced down at his legs and pondered her instructions for moment. "As one, huh...?" he asked.

Jumping into the water, he smushedhis legs together and gave them a wiggle. Though it didn't move him much nor keep afloat, it did propel him foward a few inches. Much more than his marching attempt had.

Memphis clapped. Sure it wasn't perfect but it was getting better. "That's better, sug. Now keep going." She swam next to him so she could see how she moved. The let her arms and fin work together to propel herself along the current. It moved her and her body silently next to the male. She looked pretty in the water, or so she thought. Being a mermaid she was a bit egotistical

Cadassi blushed a bit when she clapped, a little happy with himself at her praise.

He watched closely, noticing how her arms and her fin seemed to work opposite of each other. When her arms pushed outwards, her fin wiggled up and down the in the water.

Trying his best to mimic her, he jumped up into the water again and pushed his legs like a mermaid tail and gave the water around him a shove with his hands. To his amazement, he actually started gliding through the water. So he repeated the step. Only to go even further.

"It's working!!" he exclaimed, clapping a bit himself before laughing out loud when he stopped floating and sank again to the bottom as he clapped.

Memphis watched and smiled. "There you are. That's great!" She was happy he was doing it. The mermaid wasn't sure how it would work with a back fin but not a tail fin, but he was doing well now.

"So, want to try a little farther? There are nice coral over there?" Memphis pointed to a small reef a few meters away from them. She liked to go there and look a the other sea creatures.

Cadassi grinned and nodded. "Sure! I'll give it a try." he agreed happily. Jumping up, he began a slow and steady swim towards the coral. His fin didn't really hinder nor help him. It just glided through the current like the rest of him.

Smiling at Memphis, he continued ot watch her swim, looking for anything that might help him. "You know, this is pretty easy once you get the hang of it!" he declared, his eyes on her fin.

Memphis smiled and giggled. She swam slowly to make sure he could keep up. It wouldn't be nice to go too fast and leave him behind. That would be a very bad teacher.

The coral came into view after a few moments. It was all over and many different colors. There were also lots of different fish and other plant life around. Just like a small oceanic forest.

Cadassi stared in awe at the things floating around him. REaching out, he poked one of the passing fish, who gave a startled look before darting off.

"This is pretty cool, Memphis. You get to see this everyday?" he asked, walk-swimming over to a coral and squatting down for a closer look.

Memphis nodded. "Yep, sure do. After we landed here in the ocean I can't help but want to stay. The lake was fine, of course but it can't really compare with this." She smiled as she did a circle around him before sitting on a rock near some purple coral. She began to touch them with her fingertips.

Cadassi grinned. "Don't blame you. It's so...light down here?" he said, walking around examining the local sealife.

"So you weren't raised in the ocean?" he asked, notcing she used the word landed.

"Nope. That island used to float in the sky. I was born and raised in the lake. But now I love this more." She giggled to herself before smiling warmly at the demon. "What about you?"

"Wandered into town during the pirate invasion. Kind of raised myself until then." he said with a small shrug.

Returning her warm smile with one of his own, he pointed upwards. "So the island used to float?" he asked, watching the way the light glinted of the corals.

"Pirates?" Memphis had missed that. After the Naiad looking Queen arrived she had stayed mostly in the ocean. Those different Naiad's were neat so she had found herself looking for more of them.

"Yeah, it was in the sky. That is beyond weird isn't it?" She had heard now that Islands were meant to be in the ocean so this was more normal then before.
