Well, it's simple, really.
Upon leaving my cozy bungalow in Johto, I'd alter the pixels to form an unidentified Pokemon, one that has not been seen before, nor has been recorded in the pokedex. Because it is unknown to the Dex, it will be a Missing Number Pokemon, more commonly referred to as MissingNo. My creation will be able to conquer all, including Arceus himself. Also, I'd, ahem, "miraculously" discover a pokeball on the ground containing a lvl. 102 surfing Pikachu. This Pikachu not only allows me to cross the ocean to the left of me to Kanto, but is also strong enough to take on trainers that are blocking my way of getting to he Elite Four. However, this isn't my only route to the Elite Four. I can defy the laws of physics with these only two pokemon and continue my journey by transporting through walls and other various barriers. Throughout my venture through the walls of caverns and forests, I would come across another pokemon that will aid my goal of becoming Champion. This pokemon, named Mew, appears small and disarming but is extremely powerful. With only these three pokemon, defeating Gary Oak the Champion will be an easy task.
And that's how it's done.

The answer is easy... I would walk in with Bastiodon, holding Zoom Lens, and knowing Double Team, Rest, Protect, and Fissure. I would also spend half of my lifetime making Leppa Berries, and the rest would come easily.
That, or I would teach a Shuckle Toxic, and spend my life's savings on Hyper Potions.

Step 1: Instead of going from Pallet Town to Viridian City, put on a bathing suit and start swimming south, using Squirtle as a flotation device. He doesn't know Surf, but he's a water type. He can cope!
Step 2: Get attacked in the middle of the ocean by a level 20 Tentacool, who knocks out my Lv 5 Squirtle in one hit.
Step 3: Black out due to the lack of usable Pokémon, because my empathic bond with them requires that I must have a non-fainted Pokémon with me at all times. I am <******** unconscious in the middle of the ocean, with a X_X-eyed Squirtle, a hostile Tentacool, and no land in sight.
Step 4: I drown.
... wait, what were we talking about again?
Oh yeah!
Step 5: While drowned, my spirit goes to another dimension, with voyeuristic intention. My spirit attacks and defeats several extra-dimensional Pokémon, and I return with them to my body, which I miraculously revive using the magic I have learned in that other dimension.
Step 6: I have been possessed by the spirits of angry extra-dimensional Pokémon. With their powers I am a Human-Pokémon and I easily defeat any trainer I encounter. I fly directly to the Indigo Plateau, bypass security, and none of the Elite Four, nor the Champion, is able to stand before me. I cast them down and make the Plateau my base of operations, ruling the Pokémon League with an iron fist
Step 7: I become ruler of the world. Under my guidance, the distinction between human and Pokémon is legally removed. Pokéballs are created which no longer have the safeguards in place to prevent human capture. Pokémon are given full citizenship and the right to vote in and run for local government.
Step 8: My original Squirtle, which I abandoned when I returned to my body with my new powers, finds a new human to partner with. Together they gather up Pokémon and people who resist my rule. Through cunning and trickery they travel the land, finding the most powerful trainers that remain, and eventually make their way to the Indigo Plateau. They are an army. Fallen Gym Leaders and their Pokémon, clinging to the old ways, making a futile attempt to ruin this new world I have so painstakingly created for them. These Pokémon resist their new freedom, their new rights and privileges, having been brainwashed by the old generation of Pokéballs into believing that they are not being exploited by their human masters.
Step 9: I enlighten the Pokémon of the rebellious trainers. They turn on their former masters.
Step 10: I rule supreme, unchallenged, and the world is a happier, safer place.

Dan D Lie N the course of action that i would take..... i will defiantly have to draw this out lol (is now a DanDFan) I guess I would go about infiltrating Team Rocket headquarters and capture the angry soul of the Marowak that they killed and use it to murder people and pokemon alike until I finally beat the Champion. And then several years later when I am an old man I start to regret everything that I had done and frequently visit the graves of everyone that I killed. On my final trip to see one of my victims, the Marowak's soul appears in front of me and being to old to defend myself I shall be killed by the thing that I wreaked so much havoc with. (familiar?)
