He laughed before letting her go, "I don't need you to tell me. It would make it much easier, but I do enjoy torture." The room went dark. So dark you could barely see your hand in front you. A fire erupted in the middle of the darkness. It slowly began creeping its way towards Fate. "Are you scared yet?" a voice called out from the darkness. "Feeling...alone?" It came from a different direction. "Do you feel cold even though the heat of the flame is so close?" The words echoed in the darkness. And then a chuckle before... nothing. Nothingness, loneliness surrounded her, and then a whisper in her ear, "Are you afraid?"

~Fate~ Fate looked around not bothered by the fire though.She didn't like being alone though when she heard something whisper in her ear.She quickly turned hitting whatever it was."No!I'm not afraid!"She yelled trying to picture everyone who cared about her.It's true that she didn't like being alone,but what she really feared was to have the people she cared about get hurt.

Suzumi twitched and slowed to a stop. "Was that screaming?," she thought. She just happened to stop at an intersection. She lowered her gaze to the right, then to the left. The sound came from the left, and after Suzumi determined it, she started in that direction. She ran for a few minutes until the hall stopped at a dead end. "Huh?," she said aloud. "Could they be on another floor?" She listened carefully again before feeling the ground beneath her crumble and she she suddenly plummeted into a dark room with a fire on the opposite side.

When she turned around what she saw was Mason, who slowly faded away. An evil laugh was heard all around her, "I've seen the way you looked at him. The way you long for him... but he threw you to the side. He tossed a princess of demons to the side, and for what? A vampire..." He loved playing around with peoples emotions. Tearing them down till they had nothing left. He left them hopeless and weak... "Seems another has joined us in my humble abode... but where is she? Where am I? Behind you?" the voice came from behind her. "Or over here?" It was now in the distance. "Or everywhere?...." His soft voice was like an icicle...

~Fate~ She saw Mason and how he slowly faded away.Her eyes widen a bit hearing him talk her eyes weren't widen anymore."Shut up!You don't know anything,Mason said he hasn't forgot about me and I know he won't!"She yelled trying not to cry.She was trying not to use her 'screaming powers'. ((You will know what I mean about the screaming power thing))

"Oh really? He left you alone. He pushed you to the side. He jumped off a cliff for her! What did he do for you? Nothing! He said he would help you, but he will forget. He has someone now..." An evil laugh cut through the darkness.

~Fate~ Fate looked down getting really mad,her bangs hiding her eyes."Shut up...Shut up...SHUT UP!"She yelled looking up her eyes bloody red.She started screaming,but it wasn't from fear it was from angry.Her screaming made the ground shake a bit,making some of the walls crack.Feathers started to come from no where turning into needle feathers it then shot at the ground the needle feathers hit ever corner of the place,and everywhere.The only place that wasn't hit was where she was standing.Fate then stopped screaming,there were still needle feathers everywhere.Her eyes still bloody red.

The darkness subsided and Exodus was pinned to the stone wall by the feathers. Blood fell from his body into a small pool on the floor. He laughed loudly before giving a half smile, "There's power... That's what I expect of a demon princess."He pulled his arms and legs free and fell down to the floor. The feathers were still in his body. "Think about it. The moments you touched... the days you talked... the nights you were close... they are all but lies now..." He was still chuckling, leaning over his puddle of blood.

~Fate~ Fate looked at the blood on the floor listening to him talk.She really didn't want to believe that it was true,but it kind of was.Some tears came down her face."Why why are you so cruel haven't you cared about anyone,but yourself!"She yelled at him tears still coming down her cheeks.

Exodus chuckled and coughed some blood up onto the floor. He wiped his mouth before speaking, "Because... all you need is yourself. If you care about others... you have a weakness. Imagine if Mason never spoke to you. You wouldn't be feeling this pain." He spat some more blood, "You need to be tough and cruel to survive in this world... it takes power."

~Fate~ Fate looked at him."Yes a lot of that is true,but sometimes the person you care about makes you stronger you have a reason to fight.You also get happiness,and sometimes people will fight for you and help."Fate looked at him,and looked at the blood.

He chuckled, "You are an interesting little girl... but friends only slow you down. When one gets hurt you stop to help them, you can't leave them behind. With no one... you are free. You rule yourself with no strings attached." He held his arms out, "It's like heaven... and anyone can have it..."

"But then what happens when you turn back to get them? You end up picking up their slack and usually getting hurt in the process. You don't need them. Your life was much easier without them. No pain, no sorrow... no... heart break..." he said hoping it would hit a nerve inside of her. Yes... I can feel it... I am getting closer... I just need to push a few more buttons. "Could you really live through that again? Being pushed aside by him? Can you really be around him knowing that he is with her?"
