Whelp nevermind I think Dormammu owns again cause his keepaway is nuts. He works pretty well as an assist with Dark Hole, too. I think I like Shulk more than Haggar now, though. Haggar just sucks at closing distance and is so slow overall, whereas She-Hulk can combo pretty ******** well and also do respectable damage. Her supers suck balls for damage, though.
Task-Master owns more each time I play as him.

Zahmen II Moosenstein Zahmen II Yeah trolling aside I really dislike the art style on pretty much everybody. That pretty much turns me completely off of the game. I can't even comprehend that for some characters. Namely people like.. Dormammu, Dr. Doom, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America.. Etc. Who are all just literal translations into 3D figures. Ryu looks weird though. Also. All you care about is looks? For shame. I'm not saying I just care about looks, but it's more than just that. Just the way it's drawn puts me off a lot, and a lot of the comic characters in my opinion don't translate well into 3D. There's also the fact that you have 3D models moving on a 2D plane which is just weird to me (yeah I know other games have done it before but I didn't like them either). Take for instance Spawn on the Xbox version of Soul Caliber 2, he was a literal translation into 3D and I was okay with that because if memory serves me right you could move in a three dimensional environment and it felt natural. 3D forced to stay in 2D just rubs me the wrong way, if they're going to abandon the cartoon aspect why not just take that one extra step? Also (and I know that this is a derpy thing to say) but I liked the first two MvC games because really anybody could have a lot of fun while playing them, whether you're a pro or just looking for a casual gaming experience and maybe it was just the characters I was using but when I played the 3rd one it just felt like it had no learning curve at all. I know practice makes perfect and all of that but to even stand up to ANYBODY online you practically have to drop another 50 bucks on a joypad and be able to hammer out 15+ button combos in under three seconds. With this game and SF4 I just had no incentive to do that; to be clear though I'm not seriously saying that MvC3 of SF4 are bad games, I'm saying that due to a couple of minor factors I can't really enjoy them. That is really derpy because MvC3 is so balanced and everything has been simplified. While with MvC2 the game was no where near balanced and was much more complicated to play. And on a controller you can map buttons to the joystick clicks which is kind of an advantage to using them on mvc3.

And it does a ton of damage.

Telling me that my personal thoughts and opinions (which I went out of my way to elaborate on rather than leave as derfy one-liners) are wrong is sort of a d**k move, Moose; especially when your explanation of the joypad doesn't actually disagree with my statement that to be any good at keeping up online you need them. Sorry read that bit you said about controllers wrong!

Also, there are top players who use controllers. The biggest disadvantage to a controller is that after about an hour your fingers are worn out.

I don't own it but I have gotten to play it a little, I liked Wolverine/Zero/X-23 the most I think. Sometimes I put Akuma in there somewhere.

Also he requires good use of assists far more than anyone else I've played as. I find he can dominate anyone that isn't a fast as hell rushdown character, but pretty much everyone online is a fast as hell rushdown team.

His point character was haggar. Jumping backwards pipe will stop rushdown and then you can launch them. Just don't use pipe on the ground really.

Holy ******** using Modok with Dormammu's black hole assist and tasky's upwards assist completely locks down everyone I've come across. Analyze cube owns.
ps taskmaster's ^ assist is basically doom's hidden missiles.

M.O.D.O.K owns hard, has an eight way airdash, can reverse his opponents controls, and can combo insanely well off analyze cubes since they have such a quick start up and then appear instantly. He can lock down screens better than Dormammu, and his hyper psionic blaster comes out just as fast as Dormammu's flame beam thing. Oh plus his barrier is awesome.
I suggest trying him out in training mode, or watching his video on the Shoryuken wiki.
