Name: Azizah Found: 9/15/14 Temper: Broody Species: Unicorn halfbreed draft Parents: Neemah and ??? Siblings: N/A Mate: Asclepia Children: None Familiar: None Herd: Wandering Healers History: From the moment Azizah emerged from her basket she was doomed to be treated like a second-class herd member. A halfbreed without a horn was truly a disgrace to a herd of pure unicorns who prided themselves in their healing abilities. In a night of passion, her mother had found comfort in the company of an outside stallion. And while there were rumors whispered throughout her pregnancy, it was Azizah's bare forehead that gave them the fuel to mock and ridicule both mares relentlessly. To them, a soquili without a horn was practically useless, only suited to things like manual labor.
Unlike her mother, Azizah refused to lie down and take it. She fought back. Sometimes quite literally. Her methods of retaliation only gave the herd members more reason to look down on her. The claim that her lack of a horn made her a savage was a favorite among the other members.
For quite some time, Azizah couldn't understand why her mother was complaisant and it made her furious. She often lashed out at her. But if nothing else, her mother was patient. The older mare never spoke harshly to her daughter or scolded her for biting or kicking or screaming at the other herd members. She couldn't blame her for being angry. The only thing that ever seemed to calm her rage was talk of her father. It had only been a night, but her mother always spoke of him as if he were some kind of deity. As time went on she realized how embellished the stories of him were, but she didn't care. She wanted to believe she was some kind of demi-god just so she could rub it in everyone's face one day.
It wasn't until Azizah was older that she realized the reasons behind her mother's compliance. The herd was her home, it was all she had ever known. And until Azizah was born, she had lived in relative peace. She couldn't fight against those who were essentially her family and she was too afraid to leave them. But Azizah had no love for these soquili and the outside world looked far more appealing than spending the rest of her life being mocked for her inability to heal. So, she left. She left vowing to herself that she would learn how to heal some other way and she would be better at it than anyone else in that wretched herd. And she left vowing to return someday to take her mother away.
Joins the wandering healers, where she meets Asclepia. Eventually accepts she has feelings for her. Learns herbal healing. Goes and gets momma out of that awful place. Everyone is happy.

Name: Javan Found: 1/16/15 Temper: Generous Species: Uni-flutter-cerynei Parents: N/A Siblings: N/A Mate: None Children: None Familiar: None History: Javan is a desert-dweller, born and raised on the far edge of the Uunule Noyi. The herd he grew up in has groups scattered across the desert, all dedicated to helping travelers unused to the desert get to their destinations. (MORE ABOUT THIS HERD LATER I CAN'T WORD IT RIGHT. Basically they pass travelers off to the different groups until said travelers get to where they're going. Offering food, water, and advice in staying alive in the desert).
He grew up hearing the stories of travelers, completely entranced by the idea of this world outside of his desert. But he was bound to the same paths his group travelled time and time again. That isn't to say Javan didn't enjoy being with his herd and helping the weary travelers. In fact, he loved it. He really had a passion for offering whatever aid he could to those in need, and being able to do that for others with great stories to tell was a nice bonus.
But the call of the outside world was far too strong for him to ignore. Eventually, he came to the decision to leave the desert. And though the herd was sad to lose him, even if it weren't permanently, they sent him off in a celebratory fashion. He was taken to each of the different groups, much like they did with other travelers, until he had reached the distant mountains. There they give him whatever supplies they could, wished him the best of luck, and bid him farewell. The rest of the journey was up to him and whatever outsiders he may come across.

Name: Stellina Found: 6/4/15 Temper: Tenebrous Species: Ulun'suti-Angenicorn (Shadow element) Parents: Branwen (Adoptive) Siblings: Fiametta Mate: Castor Children: None Familiar: None Herd: Fiamma Eterna History: Found with her sister as baskets by Branwen, Stellina and Fiammetta were loving raised by the mare. Though she was straightforward from the beginning about not being their biological mother, the twins always considered Branwen as such. Despite the rocky start, Stellina had a happy childhood. Branwen was completely dedicated to the twins and they always had whatever they needed. Unfortunately, Stellina struggled with being an absolute scaredy cat. Some times the most benign of things would send her into hiding- and more than once that meant everyone spending an afternoon searching for her. But everyone did their best to accommodate her and make Stellina feel safe. And for a time she seemed to be growing bolder. Then Fiammetta disappeared...
They spent days looking for her with no sign of where Fiammetta could have gone. The two of them hardly ate or slept as they searched and the whole ordeal was taking its toll on her. Eventually she shut down and refused to move or speak, she just hid her face behind her wings and tried to block everything out. It was then that a mini mare named Neria found them. After hearing their story from Branwen, Neria offered them a safe place to stay among her herd. It took a lot of gentle coaxing, but finally Stellina came around and they followed the tiny mare back to her herd. And while Branwen sought the aid of the other herd members in finding Fiammetta, Stelina now had to come to terms with being surrounded by so many unfamiliar faces.
Grows up in the herd. Accepts she'll never see her sister again and mopes about it the whole time (as well as her creepy shadow powers). Meets Castor. He helps her understand her powers aren't bad. She comes out of her shell finally. They fall in love.

Name: Fiocchetti Found: 7/2/15 Temper: Easy-Going Species: Kirin Parents: N/A Siblings: N/A Mate: None Children: None Familiar: None History: Comes from a very big, very loud, and very boisterous family. Left for a little while because they can be a bit much (a pretty common occurrence among the family tbh). Squabbles happen often and can get quite heated. But they make up easily and will put aside all differences to stand behind a family member.
What is their schtick tho. What they do??? It is a family named after pasta... Food related? Hard to do with hooves. Maybe performers of some kind idk man

Name: Mournful Marigold Found: 10/9/15 Temper: Cheery Species: Nymph halfbreed Parents: Mariselle and Sugar Skull Siblings: Tober Half-siblings from Mariselle: Eisheth and Hallowtide Half-siblings from Sugar Skull: Vartan, Calavera, Prisma Mate: Chrysanthemum "Chris" Children: None Familiar: None History: Having only her mother to look after her, Marigold learned fairly quickly how to fend for herself. Her mother often wandered off, forgetting she had a foal to raise for hours- some times even days. With little else to entertain her in the graveyard, Marigold found an interest in the strange plants that grew around the graveyard she called home. Through a little teaching from her mother, some advice from passing Soquili, and a bit of trial-and-error, she learned which plants were dangerous. And then began to grow them. It was mostly a hobby, really- something to pass the time.
Though her mother was often gone, Marigold did pick up on some of her strange habits and rituals. She would occasionally speak to the ghosts of the graveyard or mutter a seemingly nonsensical phrase before performing certain tasks. And even though she never knew why, her mother had told her to always carry a special stick. Many other habits came and went, but the stick always stuck. Marigold didn't believe in much of the magical nonsense her mother spoke about but she continued to perform a number of the rituals anyways. They were like a family tradition- believe or not they were still a part of who she was. As Marigold grew older she was able to build a better relationship with her mother- seeing as she was able to keep up with the other mare now. But even with a stronger bond between the two, a part of Marigold was very curious about the world outside of their little graveyard.
Meets Chris. They go on adventures and then fall in love.

Name: Piccadilly Found: 10/12/15 Temper: Refreshing Species: Nymph halfbreed Parents: None Siblings: None Mate: None Children: None Familiar: None History: Born in a distant land, Piccadilly was raised-and throughly spoiled-by a well-off human family. They gave her only the best of foods, had someone groom her every day, and gave her a warm, safe stall to sleep in. And all she ever had to do in return was let the children ride her or put bows in her hair from time to time. Neither of which she had a problem with. She was a well-loved pet and very dear to the family. But Piccadilly was rather sheltered living this life and rarely came into contact with other Soquili.
Until the family decided to move to the Kawani lands. The journey there was a bit frightening. She was stuck inside a trailer and couldn't see anything at all. The family checked on her often and tried their best to reassure her, but all of the new sounds and smells-on top of not seeing what caused them-made her anxious. Then the trailer jerked and shook, throwing her around violently. Piccadilly wasn't sure what happened, but the next thing she knew the trailer was on its side with the doors wide open. When she emerged the humans couldn't be found and she had no clue where she was. Now she searches for her loving family while trying to survive in these strange lands.
