Robby stood still when the lillipup pack's remainder retreated. His mind was playing catch-up with the situation, the arrival of a new trainer, how well his pokemon had been doing in that battle. The retreat... When the girl bumped into him again, he slipped back into reality enough to hear the apology and see her scurry off. What must it be like to go that fast?..
The voice of the person whose pokemon had saved them came from the side, and Robby looked over. He must have been hearing things, cause it was like the guy was talking to his pokemon or something. The Munna was returned, and then the fellow turned his attention to the obese youth.
Now, he might have mentioned that they were still pretty close to town, within range that he could go to the pokemon center just fine. But this was Rubby Tums, he much preferred getting a free heal here to waddling all the way back.
"Yeah, if it's no trouble or nothin'. They looked like they were gettin' hit lots back there. Oh, and thanks."

Avan nodded, reached into the bag that was slung over his shoulder and pulled out two potions. They were pretty cheap considering, so he didn't mind giving a few away. "Here. That should should cover those two." Referring to the boy's two Pokemon.
"Good job repelling those Lillipup, by the way. They could have hurt that girl. And I doubt I would have been of much help against all of them."

Henrietta felt like she was in agony. As she stumbled into the Pokemon center and made her way to the desk she kept an expression of pain. Her cheeks burned still with embarrassment and her lungs burned from the run.
"Please, help," she pleaded as she offered her Pokeballs to the nurse. After they were taken she sat herself in a chair near the desk, her head tilted back as she rested.

Robby took the potions with a smile, and his two pokemon gathered round, both getting a quick dose. "Thanks a ton. I didn' wanna turn back just yet." He would stand back at full height, taking longer to stand back up than it had taken to kneel down, and then look towards the savior person.
"Er, yeah, I guess they coulda. Thought they might wanna bite me, though, cause she had 'em all riled up an'... Er, you get what I mean, right? I didn' really do it t' play hero."

"Heh, yeah." Avan replied. Not a clue... He scratched the back of his head. I suppose I'll introduce myself to him as well.
"I'm Crown." The brown haired boy stated, once again going with his nickname instead of his birth name.
((EDIT: I'm going to be gone March 19-20 (supposedly) and won't be around to RP. Be back soon <3 ))

The last time he'd been here, the Pokémon Center was calm; thanks to Team Plasma it was now a hive of gossip and discussion. Braving trainers who ran back and forth, more often than not with their Pokémon in tow, Wayne had seized one of the phone booths while he waited for his Pokémon to be healed.
"I picked up the Pokédex earlier this morning," he said into the receiver, "when I got back to Accumula there was this big Team Plasma rally - huge crowd." "Plasma. I see." "I can't believe them, dad. I mean, after what they did-" "That was your own fault. Feel bad if you want. Blame them. Just get your pokémon back whatever way you can." "It'll be hard. With this new team I... it'll be a while before I put things right." "Just remember; in battle it's not your experience or power that wins you the fight. It's your desire to succeed. Trust me on this, I know what I'm talking about." "Right. Anyway, the nurse is calling me over so I gotta go. Thanks for accepting collect." "Colle-?"
Wayne hung up and crossed the Pokémon Center's lobby to get to the nurse who was waving him over. By the time he traversed the crowded lobby, the nurse already had Wayne's Pokéballs out on the counter, gathered together in a tray that had a place for each ball to sit in. The Pokéballs were of the basic red and white variety; nothing special, nothing mysterious. Wayne picked them up and looked through the translucent red halves at the miniaturised pokémon resting inside.
"They only needed a small amount of rest," the nurse said as Wayne inspected them, "your pokémon are good to go." "Thank you," said the trainer as he squeezed each ball, which shrank them down even further and let him deposit them easily into his pockets. "We hope to see you again!" the nurse said with a sing-song tone to her voice. As Wayne walked away, his mind was rife with semi-paranoid thoughts of 'wait, does that mean she wants us to get injured?' He looked back over his shoulder and the nurse was already dealing with the next trainer. Sick b***h.
"Okay, who to train, who to train," he took out the pokéballs and started to juggle them, letting the little spheres fly up before passing through his hands. A few more passes and he lost track of which ball was which before stopping the juggle, letting two of the balls land in his waiting palm and snatching the third out of the air. "I choose... you!"
Wayne inspected the ball and Solosis' dizzy face stared back at him. His fingers curled around the pokéball again as he grinned and looked around for the training area.

It hurt to move. It hurt to not move. She wanted to move, to stand up, pace, she didn't want to sit still. Her poor injured Pokemon, she didn't know the extent of the damage but she figured it must be bad. She was on her feet, then off of them. It didn't take long but she probably looked a bit crazy standing up, limping a few steps, wincing a lot, walking back and sitting down a dozen times.
Finally, the nurse called her name and she made her way to the desk. Retrieving her Pokeballs from the nurse she thanked her in a whispered voice.
"Are you okay?" The nurse asked and Henrietta looked up and then a little to the side to avoid eye contact and she nodded.
"Because I saw you limping," the nurse added.
"I'm fine.. thank you.."
"Er.. okay.. Don't take things too hard, take care now!" the nurse said, regaining her positive energy.
Henrietta nodded and turned and started away. Each step hurt and she grit her teeth through it as she made her way toward the exit.
What next? Try to head to the town again to get a Pokedex? Were there more packs of Lillipup to worry about? She didn't know if she'd be able to get away next time if there were.

"Oh, I'm Rub- Er, Robby." The obese man replied with a nod, trying to cover the fact that he'd almost given his old high-school nickname. "Thanks a lot for that save, dunno if they'd 'ave stopped."
The ducklett looked up at her trainer, and shook her head. Tepig did much the same thing and the pokemon waited to be returned. He didn't much like sitting outside listening to humans talk.

There they were. At last. The Pokémon Gym. Not the type of gym that hands out badges, but the kind of place where trainers and pokémon can work out in order to increase their appeal to others in their egg group. Wayne grunted as he slid increasingly heavy weights over to one side. These were the kind that Machoke and similar tended to use. They weighed a ton. Literally.
"Thanks for the help," he said to a Gurdurr who nodded and went back to its trainer. Wayne wiped his forehead and exhaled, smirking at Solosis who was passing time by bouncing up and down on the spot. Its membrane body was springy as well as durable. Wayne made a mental note of that.
"Okay, so we need to boost your psychic power," he said, kneeling down and looking Solosis in the eye, "I've put together a set of increasingly heavy weights that I want you to lift up. Y'know, with your mind?"
Solosis drew his eyes across the line-up. The ones on the left weren't so bad; the middle ones were a bit bigger... probably a little too mu-; what the hell?! That one on the right is bigger than Wayne is! Probably. The tiny psychic's face froze.
"It's not like you're gonna pull anything," Wayne muttered, poking Solosis in the membrane and making it wobble back, "just give the smaller ones a try for now."
"Sol," the pokémon said, gathering his courage and rolling forward. As a note about the way Solosis moves; the core of its body stays in roughly the same place, supported by cytoplasm, while the outer membrane rolls around like a ball. When he came to a stop, the cell pokémon looked at the lightest weights intently, brow furrowed, and began to exert its psychic pressure.
Wayne watched quietly, his eyes bored and narrow. The weight began to wobble and shake. After a few seconds, Solosis managed to make it rise a few inches off the ground. It wasn't a solid lift; the weight was shaking, as if it was being lifted up at a single point and couldn't keep steady. Solosis dropped it and the metal hit the training mat with a subdued clump.
Solosis was panting and Wayne knelt down, putting his hand on the pokémon, "Good work," he said, "you can take a break before giving it another go."

And then she saw the gym. Henrietta's face brightened as a thought came to mind. She could train there, and be strong enough to reach Nuvema Town without risking herself or her Pokemon.
So, wincing the entire way, she made her way into the gym and surveyed the area. Some fighting type Pokemon she could vaguely remember the names of, a boy with a bubbled Cubchoo-thing that was...
She stopped near the entrance, moving out of the way of a man exiting the gym, and she watched with a curious, yet pained, expression.

It took a while but Solosis could finally lift the weight without wobbling it. It lowered it to the floor gently and took a breather. It was mentally exhausting but at least it was making progress. Wayne figured this was its current actual limit; reaching it hadn't taken long because it was just the technique that the pokémon had to get down. Any training past this point should increase the power.
"Here you go," he said, returning from the vending machine with a lemonade, "some guy got two and said I could have one."
Solosis looked up just as Wayne cracked the can open and poured the fizzy drink onto its membrane. At first some of it splashed off but Solosis allowed it through into its cytoplasm and then drank it up. It was refreshing, visibly so; Solosis burped and cheered its name.
"Alright," Wayne grinned, "now try lifting it up and moving the weight about a bit, okay?"
Solosis nodded. This wasn't as scary as it first seemed. In fact it was getting easier by the minute. As the pokémon got to work, lifting the smallest weight and psychically moving it up, down, left and right, Wayne stood up and stretched.
He spotted someone out of the corner of his eye; a girl dressed in pink. She'd been there for a while. He stretched his arms back and put his hands behind his head, looking over to her and saying, "What is it? You want something?"

"Hum!" Henrietta said without meaning to, her face instantly turning a shade or red and she averted her gaze. "N-no, sorry, I was just, hum... just watching. Your.. Your Pokemon, it's psychic type?" she said uneasily.
The entire time her eyes were on the ground, as if looking up at him would imply something or another and her fingers drummed her thighs along the hem of her skirt.

"Huh? Oh yeah!" Wayne said with excitement, "we're training its abilities so it can take on a Gym Leader."
Solosis turned around to see who Wayne was talking to and the weight went with it. The heavy chunk of metal flew through the air, swinging around and nearly colliding with the trainer. Wayne ducked just in time and the weight flew overhead. He grit his teeth, eyes wide, and before Solosis' psychic hold snapped and it went speeding toward Henrietta, he clasped his hands around the weight and held it in place.
"Phew," Wayne said, putting the weight down on the floor while Solosis laughed nervously. He stood back up, wiping his forehead with the back of his arm, "as you can see, we still have a way to go... hey, are you a trainer too? What pokémon do you have?"

Henrietta noticed something in her peripherals and her head rose to see the weight as Wayne grabbed hold of it. Still, it was enough of a surprise for her to jump back, land and wince. Her knees bent slightly but she caught her balance.
Slowly raising back up straight she looked at Wayne and then down again and nodded as he spoke. He was full of energy, excitement. Was he proud? Of his Pokemon or his progress as a trainer?
"H-hum, I have three. Melty," she said as she first released the Litwick in front of herself. The little Candle Pokemon looked around the room with a mischievous smile. After all, just being around people caused him to drain them of their life force. He was eating just by having company.
"And then there's Darumi," she said and out came Darumaka. Eyebrows burning to literally symbolize his passionate energy, the Pokemon immediately took off. Shouting pieces of his name he ran around the gym, curving around Wayne and then straight across to the weights Wayne had laid out. He'd struggle with the biggest first, his ego and courage leading him right to it.
And then down the line until he found one he could lift up and, with a cheer in the form of his species, he lifted the weight above his head.
Henrietta couldn't help but smile and quietly giggle at the sight. "Lastly is Socant," she said and she threw the Pokeball up, releasing the Pokemon. With one hand she caught the ball, and the little bug type would land on the palm of her other. It started to crawl around, between and around her fingers and around her palm, causing Henrietta to move her palm with it so make sure Wayne could see the tiny thing.

"Whoa," Wayne leant forward to inspect the tiny bug pokémon. He pulled his Pokédex out of his pocket and flipped it open. The device made a ping sound as it registered the next species and then accessed Professor Juniper's database.
"So this is a Joltik, huh?" Wayne said as he read the text on the Pokédex's screen, "sweet," he stood up and snapped the machine shut and put it back in his pocket. With a smile on his face, he said, "My name's Wayne Lee. I didn't get all fancy and give my pokémon nicknames but over there's Solos-DON'T TURN AROUND- ahem. That's Solosis."
He took out his other pokéballs and turned the dial around their buttons, which made the red top transition between opaque and see-through. Holding the balls carefully in one hand, he angled them so that Henrietta could see and pointed at each one, "That's Petilil. She's a grass type I caught on the way here. This one's Hitmonlee. He's a Fight type but he hasn't had much training yet."
Wayne held the balls out for as long as Henrietta had interest and said, "Err, what was your name again?"
